It shouldn't expend anything but alittle bit of my magic. It's a little something I picked up in a town once. I can try it out and see if it works. *mummurs a few words in Latin and a small orb forms above my hand, glowing softly* Do you think this will do??

This scar? Not "destined," really. It's a soul tie. I burned the rune into myself to keep my Guardian Angel alive. That's why my staff changes when I need it to. And that's why I never go anywhere without it.
