*the fact that Cora is only using one arm is making her decidedly nervous, which prompts her to hurry before she drops him*

*hesitates a moment in the doorway, her gaze drifting around the room, then steps in and over to the bed to pull the covers back*

:::with the covers now drawn, Cora lowers the chair to the level of the bed, tipping it further to match the back of the chair parallel to the bed. Finding the new center of gravity to the ojbects being balanced, she steadies it with one hand, and uses her other to gently slide Bard onto the bed...he went like batter into a pan:::
There we are...poor gentleman, he must have been very weary.
:::she stepped back, to observe that all was nominal, and smiled at how endearing a sleeping man looked, still the same way he must have looked asleep when he was but a little boy:::

*still marveling at Cora's strength* . . . Aye . . .
*pulls the covers up over him, then gently brushes his hair back from his face, and steps back to stand next to Cora, smiling without even realizing it*
*then, turns red quite suddenly, and stammers* I . . . we . . should let him sleep . . . *spins around and hurries out of the room, heading back down the hall towards the main room*

:::Cora watched, still smiling, as Maggie tucked Bard in...and watched with interest as she brushed his face with her hand....she saw the blood run to her cheeks...and was suprised when Maggie rushed out so fast:::

**Begin New Scene - Bard**
*Bard wakes up with a start. The room is totally dark. He reaches for his bedside lamp, but it does not exist in this room. He realizes instantly where he must be. He rises out of the bed and pads finds the light switch*
Now how in the world did I get here?
*he stretches and decides he's probably better off not knowing. He feels much better after his nap.*
Time to get back to my research.
*he exits the room and returns to the main room*

**Enter Maggie from Main Room, 123**
*walks in from the hallway, opening her door and then shutting it behind her as she steps through*
*her room here is somewhat larger than her room at home - quite similar, in fact, to one of the guest rooms at the inn*
*she crosses to the bed and sits on it, leaning back against the headboard, drawing her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them*
This place . . . *leaves the thought incomplete, sliding down on the bed to lie curled up on her side, closing her eyes and eventually drifting off to sleep*

*her eyes flutter open, and she stares at the ceiling, wondering how long it's been since she fell asleep*
*rises from the bed, taking a few moments to straighten herself up, then opens her door and heads down the hall towards the main room*

*Bard follows the corridor to his room. He reaches the door, unlocks it, and steps into the room. He piles the books on the desk, deciding that what he needs most is a good shower. Humming some unintelligible tune, he slips into the shower.*
