i thought you would. I did the same thing as you. I judged and criticized her before i actually saw her perform the role. in the end i was quite satisfied

yes i know clark... I have seen it 9 times and once in the drive in but i couldn;t see anything and i already know the movie by heart...so i guess you could say 10. If i didn't like her i wouldn;t be able to stand seeing her 10times

I personally loved the new movie, but I think the Smallville cast would be better. Anyway the guy who played Superman was soo fricken hot!
(But Tom is much hotter!)

really you think so? I personally thought the cast was really great. From going off of the first two movies i think they did a wonderful job. Spacey did an outstanding job, Bosworth did a good job showing how much the character had matured in the five year absense of superman, and Routh,routh,routh,routh, He just did an amazing job, he had Huge boots to fill and his feet fit them perfectly. Props to Singer for doing such a wonderful job. I really liked how he kind of tied in the Death of SUperman, and a World with out superman into the movie....it was great.

Didn't they offer Tom Welling the role as superman and he passed it up because of Smallville. They thought that it would kill the show if he did the movie or something like that.
I think that Brandon Routh did a good job. I hope that his career will take off.

no they thought people would think it was a smallville movie. Making people think that the show was going to end when it wasn't. THe movie has nothing and had nothing to do with the show what so ever.

I know that the movie has nothing to do with the series. I was only talking about something that I had heard.
Brandon Routh and Tom Welling look nothing alike. So I am not so dense that I could confuse them =P. Brandon Routh use to be on the Soap Opera One Life to Live. It's probably where a lot of his fans remember him.
I think that he did a great job filling the boots, but I just wish that the movie had more action in it. Plus, it would have been great if more Superman fans had gone to see the movie. The dedication to Christopher Reeve and his wife was really nice, too.

Well actually i was saying that they didn't even consider TOm. Because they didn't want people thinking that it was a Smallville movie. I wasn't saying that i thought you meant that it was soppose to be related to the series i was saying that the movie had nothing to do with the series so, casting Tom would be pointless.

It would have been interesting to see Tom as superman but the new superman did the part justice. Though the movie its self spent abit too much time on Lois&Clarks relationship, special effects wise it was brilliant and funny in places.

thats because the movie was meant to focus on Lois and Clark. The movies had always focused on Clark's powers and fighting crime, the ways of Justice and how Superman represented it.This time we found out that Clark has been gone for 5 years trying to find answers and see if there really was life on Krypton as an article had reported. Since the Article was a phoney placed by Lex Luthor to get superman away, Superman missed out on five years of his life only to find the pain of the remains of Krypton. He comes back to find the woman he loved in love with some one else with a child. A child who did not belong to Richard White...Superman's Child. I mean Clark knows it was his child and now he can't bare to be with his child because he missed those five years, he can't just go up to jason and say "Oh im your dad, richard White is nothing but a stand in while i was gone" jason believes that Richard is truley his father despite his going-to-be amazing abilities. Richard doesn't even know that Jason isn't his son.

Which again is all about father son relationships and issues around the father lol though I didnt pick up on phoney article by lex sweatdrop I just thought he went exploring the remains of the planet scientists had discovered xd thanx for clearing that up ^_^

yeah thats why Superman came back. he didn't find anything because the article stated that krypton was still intact with signs of Life.

When I saw my cousin who is a major Superman fan I asked her how she liked the movie. She told me she loved it, but there was one thing that pissed her off. I asked her what it was and she told me
"I can't belive that stupid Lois got to kiss Superman! She already married so, why should she get to kiss him." After that I soon joined her in that argument.
