She heard the kitten and started to move, but A'Hallei was already lowering her to the bed. Her forrest green eyes opened as he got off the bed. "Do you want me to go with you?" her voice was soft. "We have a lot of pets, and people living here. Don't want you getting startled, with your leg that bad."
Considering he lived alone, in the forest, with a cougar cub for company, she figured he might startle badly. She sat up, and shook out the wrinkles on her outfit. "When you're ready."

It was true when he did startle, it was usually pretty bad. The last time, he had leapt from a sitting position all the way up to the top of a boulder behind him, and the time before that he put his fist through a deer's face. It would be rude to punch someone out in their own home. Her gentle voice prompted him to turn and look at her languidly stretched out on her bed. "If you wish." He replied, but she was already up and on her feet.
He was counting on being alert enough to become aware of those around him before they had a chance to suprise him, though he didn't know what to expect. He'd be more concerned for Vitalani's safety than his own, in any rate, though without his armor he felt strangely vulnerable.
Despite his limp, A'Hallei was silent as he made his way through the house, ears perked and eyes open for the other occupants. He was glad he had the time to let his erection subside as well before he ventured around, as the teal shift did nothing to obscure his muscled form save for the obvious.

She danced down the stairs with a hum, and into the kitchen. Meat was found and cut up for Vitalani, placed on a plate on the floor. "What would you like to eat?" she asked happily, moving around the kitchen.

A'Hallei found a seat and sat down gratefully, wondering if this house was always this empty. It was spacious, and elegant, not a bad place to live, especially for having lived in the wilderness most of his life. He watched Vitalani as she nearly inhaled the meat with gusto, being cute even while chewing flesh. She purred as she ate, rumbling with happiness from her spot on the floor. It took him a moment to realize she was offering him food as well.
A'Hallei looked up at her with wide green eyes, like she asked him a physics question. He was about to protest that he was not hungry when his stomach released a growl to match a bear's. He curled pale arms around his midriff sheepishly. "Anything, Thank you."
He'd like something simply cooked, but flavored potently, as he had little in the way of spices out in the woods. But how to ask for such a thing from someone who gave him so much already? He'd be happy for a raw tomato and a glass of water, really. "You like...cook, Nakshidil?"

Anything. Ohhh, the possibilities. But that tummy rumble made her smile and move into the pantry. Something fast and simple. "Spaghetti." she said, as firmly as if she had solved the greatest riddle of mankind. She moved around the kitchen, making a face and giving a feral growl when she saw that SOMEONE (probably Kamil, the poor boy was scatterbrained to the max) had put away a dish. DIRTY. In the wrong place, to top off the crime.
"I love to cook." she said, and hummed. Fresh tomatoes and garlic and herbs, cut and mixed and put together with practiced ease while the noodles simmered in the pot. The sauce was made, and she grabbed some grated cheese. It was simple and efficient. A meal she made often for the unappreciative people she lived with. Really, no gratitude for her mastery of the culinary arts.
After a while, she dipped pasta onto two plates, pouring the sauce on top and garnishing it with cheese and a light sprinkle of basil. "What to drink? We have milk, juices, water, sodas." she grabbed two forks, knives, and napkins, setting them out along with the meal in front of A'Hallei.

A'Hallei's ears perked when she released that cute little growl. It was a momentary flash of a feral nature in her that struck a chord in the pale boy. In a moment it was gone, and she was as she always was, if not more happy here.
As Nakshidil bobbed through the kitchen, working her culinary magics, the brandy was working on A'Hallei. He began to hum in his broken voice. It was a suprisingly sweet little tune, though the melody was missing in patches where his voice cut out for a few moments. It didn't seem to bother him, if he even noticed. At least what he did hum was on-key. When he wasn't focusing, he felt himself kind of get a distanced gigglyness, but it was so subtle it wasn't really alarming.
"Smells..." He stopped his own melody to say. The kitchen was filled with aeromas, from the tomatos, the garlics, and the earthy tones of the herbs. It made a mix hard to achieve out in the wild, where the wind tended to whip smells around and away. He didn't finish his thought, but a blissful smile was turning up his lips, indicators enough that he found the smell pleasant.
Soon enough, the table was set before him, a plate of spaghetti set before him. He stared with curiosity at the yellowed noodles topped with rich red covering and white spots of cheese. "Juice...please." He said, awkwardly picking up the fork, but soon remembering the right way to hold it. "Thank you." He added, as he waited for her to join him before he tucked into his food.

Juice. Another broad term. "Apple, Orange, Grapefruit, Strawberry. Mixed fruits.. Blueberry..." she eyed the door and poked her head in. "I'm having apple." A glance out of the corner of her eye had caught the blissful smile.

"Ahh..." He faltered, never knowing the proper names for all of those fruits. "St...Rawberry?" He faltered on the name, but shrugged. Whatever would be good for him. He wanted to try something new though. Strawberry sounded unusual to him. A'Hallei quietly watched the steam waft up from the spaghetti in appreciation. It looked, and smelled fantastically done. Would he like the taste? Would he ever eat Sphagetti again? Oh, the suspense! He glanced up at Nakshidil, waiting for his cue.

She nodded and hurried to por them each a glass of their liquid of choice. She het a large glass full of the pinkish-red liquid in front of A'Hallei, and seated herself. "I hope you enjoy." she said, and picked up her own fork.

Finally seeing her settle in before her own plate did A'Hallei allow himself to eat the food. Thankfully it was still hot. Tendrils of steam still leaked from the food and snaked upward toward the ceiling before dissapating. A'Hallei stuck his fork in the mass of pasta and began to spin it, trying to knot the noodles into place on his utensil. Having looped up enough of them did he finally eat it, locking his teeth over the fork.
It was an explosion of food heaven in his mouth. For something so simple...It was so unique, such a blend, so exotic, he could hardly believe it. The texture was an oddity in itself, with the delightful chewiness of the noodles and the thick but smooth sauce. It could have been his ravenous-ness speaking, but he hadn't had food that good in years. He let out a little sigh of pleasure as he eagerly reached for another forkfull of this 'Pasgetti' or 'Sapgetti' or however it was. He just decided to call it delicious, and leave it at that.
The juice was an odd, but welcome sudden sweetness to the hearty salts of the sauce and cheese in the food. He switched back and forth as he ate, pleased as punch.

She smiled, pleased by A'Hallei's obvious enjoyment of something she would consider simple. It was rewarding to see, especially for the chef in her. "You like it?" she asked eagerly, watching him eat. "I have more. Eat all you want." she nodded solemnly, nodding her head back towards the kitchen.

A'Hallei curled protectively over his plate as he ate. His long hair spilled over his shoulders onto the table, off the table, over the chair, everywhere really. It grew much too fast. It literally would regrow its entirety in days. In a fit of frustration he hacked it all off once, but it had regrown within the week to the exact legnth it was before, and that was steadily becoming longer. Between Samsara and he, he always had the shorter hair, it never once hitting the ground when he stood, but it was getting close, uncomfortably close. It was a daily ritual now to hack it off at his waist, so he wouldn't sit on it. He'd missed his last cutting though, so now it was down to his calves. His braid was heavy. He kept the silver locks safely away from his spaghetti, to keep from eating it, as the speed of which he forked up the food would hardly allow him time to discern it before it was in his mouth.
It took him a while to realize she was staring at him. He bowed his head and slowed his pace, nodding to answer her question if he liked it or not. Madame, he wanted to say, It is divine! All that emerged however was a satisfied, "Mmmmmm!"
Between the juice and the richness of the spaghetti however he filled up quickly. He wasn't used to eating large amounts of food, so the one plate was more than adequite for now. He used his last reedy noodle to try to sop up as much sauce as he could, because licking your plate wasn't permitted, from what he remembered. As soon as it vanished he grasped his napkin and pressed it against his mouth, grinning into the soft fabric as he leaned back. "Very good. Very very good." He mumbled through the napkin.

Nakkie was intrigued by that waterfall of silver. Her eyes kept watching, and when she finished eating her small helping of the pasta, she bent down, lifting the cougar off of the floor and onto her lap. She offered the kitten her plate, letting the pink tongue lap over the remaining juices and meat and tomatoes. She didn't let her have much though. The animal wasn't used to something so rich, and she didn't want any unfortunate accidents.
She smiled gently at the ivory-skinned male and stood, setting the cougar down on her chair. "Would you like me to take your plate?" she asked gently, lifting her own and preparing to go drop the dishes in the sink.

A'Hallei took his napkin and pressed it to the corners of his mouth, though they were as white as his skin, they were pulled away with red stains from the tomato sauce. He remembered that bit of courtesy. As she spoke, he nodded to her. Vitalani hopped from the chair to the table, plodding across to him. She stumbled into his lap, and immediately attempted to finish off her meal with his hair.
He fished the pale threads from her maw as he waited for Nakshidil to return, unsure as to what to do next. He decided since getting a tour was likely out of the picture for a while, he'd talk to her for a bit. "Where is everyone?" He queried, not able to come up with a better picture. He knew there should be many more people about. Not looking forward to seeing- per say, but he had been expecting them. The absence was worth a question or two at least.

She rinsed off the dishes she had used to cook, and the ones used to actually eat, and loaded up the dishes in the washer. So sue her, she hated doing them! The scene she returned to was amusing, and absolutely adorable. "Well," she answered his question, "I'd say mom is in the music room, she's probably got a student. Crout is asleep; Lae at work; Naira's probably out with the dragons. Laramie in the library; Kael is always in the garage, playing with his toys. And Kamil is probably in the dance room." she lived with a lot of people, and didn't even think about rattling off who would be where. "And the inside pets probably went out with Naira."
Except for Mara, who was lurking above the door to the kitchen, watching Nakshidil feed their guests and debating the things she could do to them... but Nakshidil was well-versed in the ways of that demon cat, and would be well able to beat her off. A swift kick to the ribs would send Mara away for a bit.
"Anyways, how is your leg?" she moved over to A'Hallei and hopped up on the edge of the table, looking down at the injured bodypart critically. "Need anything else?"
