Velris smiles grimly. "I caught up with that priest I was hunting. He didn't want to go peacefully, so..." The gray elf draws a line across his throat with two of his gloved fingers. "But, I got the book the Church wanted, so I'll get my reward."

DarkHayama I run my hand through my hair a bit, letting it fall back onto my shoulders, and then shoot a big smile to Nerezza "Perhaps what you need isn't to find a place that makes you relax and enjoy yourself. Perhaps what you need is to find a traveling companion who can make you feel that way, well as much as you can when in the middle of a battle with orc raiders of course." Nerezza smirks to herself and grins outwardly. " Perhaps. But I have not yet met anyone who would want to travel with me."

stare "Hey, never said my job was glorious. It pays well enough and pretty good benifits to boot. No need to be nervous around me, that is unless you're on my list. At that point, and I mean no offense, but business is business. But none of you would have any reason to have a hired assassin after you now would you." stare Give a short laugh.

Velris looks up at the mention of assassins but returns to his quiet counting of the money the priests gave him for the return of their precious book. He takes a sip of his ale and sets the mug down on the table.

Leaning back a bit and tilting his head up to stare at the ceiling, Ziggy acts as if he's reminising but whispers the next out of the corner of his mouth, stare "No need to be tense at all people with blades tend to be targets but some are left alone for one reason or another twisted ." stare

He takes a sip of his ale and sets the mug down on the table. " so did you catch the title of the book that rogue priest had" drinking a yellow liquaded from a flask " you ever hear of a drink called juma? this crazy looking robed man solid to me and now the world is all bendiy."

after another drink, I have to jerk my head to move my hair from my face. I then look back at Nerezza, a look of surprise on my face. "Now, I can't see how such a vision of beauty would have trouble finding someone who would want to travel with them. It would be a blessing to travel with someone like yourself."

"Yeah, the book was entitled Secrets of the One-Handed One... I think it might have something to do with Vecna. The Church of Pelor likely was keeping it out of the hands of someone who could do great harm with it... It's no matter to me, though. I just made a cool hundred platinum." Velris laughs softly, and then motions for Cross to pass him the flask of juma. "Juma juice, you say? It's been a while, but I too was once given a flask of this stuff. Some black-robed man who could lift rocks with his mind sold it to me for two pieces of gold and a few coppers."
