Critiquing!
Her backstory is very... lengthy and... random XD I suppose if you're going for the feeling of a "boring" person, than you hafta throw in random, useless information. Is that what you were going for? D: I mean it's good, and funny to hear about how she puked in kindergarden but when the entire story is made up of stuff that's not reaaally relevant, then I start to sorta look at the computer screen sideways.
Maybe you should focus a little more on her gymnastics ability? Talk about how she enjoys it, how she got into it, what sorta trials and tribulations she had since I see that you're considering using that talent of hers as a means to get on the island. That and out of nowhere you said she won a gymnastics competition XD; I didn't even know she did sports. Get my drift? Try to focus a bit more on the info that matters.
Saying that, I'd also like to hear more about how her parents' divorce affected her. It seemed pretty important when you mentioned it, but you didn't ellaborate much on it.
And I'd also think you could have a bit better explanation for your choice of animal, not that you have to really justify or anything. Something small could suffice XD

Because lengthy and random is not a good thing for a back story.

Just a quick comment, as rabid J already touched on what I was going to say. There is such a thing as too much detail. Knowing the exact time she was born and what the weather was like do not add to the story, they just make it less interesting.
If I'm coming off as harsh, I don't mean it.
