"Well, alright..." Em said, feeling somewhat self-conscious as she lifted the red whistle to her lips... and blew a solid breath into it, her eyes steady upon Crick.

Pales Annjette quietly glanced over at her father at mention of the pirate man and the artifacts and Voltaire seemed to consider it long enough to shrug. Father was at least equally as curious as the daughter was that was sure.
"If it is fated we find him and be in that direction we will be there, if we do end up in Hedriken's area ... Don't go alone, let me go with you." Voltaire said quietly. He knew a thing or two about pirates. While not all were bad they weren't all good either.
Annjette frowned but nodded a bit and looking back at Algonya and smiling a bit grasping her now faintly glowing hands in the air and responding, "The good and the bad molds us into what we are meant to be. Cannot have one without the other. Sometimes, though, I wish there was to protect myself and those I care about from all of the bad things..."
The swan-girl paused a moment before speaking again, "Algonya? May I give you a hug?" Annjette seemed to think it proper to ask before acting. Were her eyes not twisted with those of a birds, Algonya... would have cried at the touching request. Instead, she merely cowed down upon her knees, regaining her balance, and pushed her taloned arms through the dark material once more, out in a wide V to accommodate the hug that the child would give her.

Emelyn "Well, alright..." Em said, feeling somewhat self-conscious as she lifted the red whistle to her lips... and blew a solid breath into it, her eyes steady upon Crick. The sound that came from the whistle could not be discerned from any other than a meij-hearer... and so, simultaneously, all the Banyas within the two caravans began to scream and call and be rather distressed with the call to the meij. Soon, a few would take their displeasure... and turn them into fortunes. But one creature heard the call and was not distressed- but rather, it yawned itself awake and flapped out from beneath the eaves of an older wagon near the back of Esperita's caravan. It flew up to where Crick and Emelyn stood, and landed atop Daggerheld with a blink of its eyes. It was a Harkcall Owl, and it had responded to the call for a familiar. It woul stay with Emelyn and her family, and Hark the Calls of the Meij.

Oqaia Were her eyes not twisted with those of a birds, Algonya... would have cried at the touching request. Instead, she merely cowed down upon her knees, regaining her balance, and pushed her taloned arms through the dark material once more, out in a wide V to accommodate the hug that the child would give her. The girl didn't hesitate at all, as she stepped forth into Algonya's arms and embraced the twisted woman. If the girl thought the woman to be ugly or disfigured obviously it didn't show, but then again for all the woman had done for the child...Annjette obviously saw Algonya differently. Even if Algonya had done nothing but speak with the child in kindness Annjette would have still felt the same.
"You are a beautiful and wonderful, in my eyes, I think you always will be." The girl murmured quietly and she slowly then went to release the embrace.

Oqaia "Oh, blessed day," the young wagonmother said, her voice honeyed with happiness. "That he should find his way home." She stepped back, admiring the length of him, and his regal beauty. Valelldia did not make eye-contact with Silver's daughter- she was still afraid that the child had ill-feelings for her. ...And with good reason. "Silver, can I possibly burden you with something? You are such a good mother... could you watch over Stefan until the meij gives us a sign as to who is meant to take care of him? I will petition the meij in a few days- it should answer us then. If it's not too much of a trouble?" "I wouldn't mind at all, Val. I'm sure Ais and Khevashi wouldn't mind the company either." Ais nodded, but didn't say anything. She still wasn't sure she could trust Valelldia, despite her mother's kind and forgiving words. Khevashi merely sat on Aisrhan's shoulder, unmoving. He didn't have any reason not to like this woman, but there was an uneasiness between them that he could not place. Being the animal that he was, he merely stayed where he felt safest, perched on his sister's shoulder. Silver, however, was smiling broadly. She was more than happy to take care of the caravan's lost child. She hoped she could help him feel at home once again. He was such a gorgeous, calm animal as well - whoever was to become his new parent would be quite fortunate, indeed.

She felt the child leave the embrace, and sat back upon her legs, flattening her talons to the ground so as not to spear herself. She was too overcome to stand so soon, and so, merely looked up at the girl from her kowtow. "There is good in the world- and there is evil... but truly, the meij is not one or the other. Sometimes, we like to think of what happens to us as good or evil... but the meij cannot separate itself. So even through the hard times, the times you feel the most angry and alone, just try to focus on your power, and in gaining more- and in understanding. If the meij will not see you through..." her eyes turned to Voltaire, "I know there are others who would give their lives to see you there." Algonya stood to her feet, wobbling for an uncertain moment before planting her talons into the untilled earth. "...Do you have any questions for me, child?"

He was such a gorgeous, calm animal as well - whoever was to become his new parent would be quite fortunate, indeed. "Thank you. I can always count on you and your family to be... acommodating, and kind." Her eyes did fall upon Aisrhans... for a mere moment. She couldn't decipher the look in her still so snake-like eyes- but she did not add forgiving to the list of traits, nonetheless. She didn't expect the child to forgive her so soon. But she feared what that feeling of betrayal would do to the girl, and what it would mean for her future. And there was Khevashi. ...Valelldia sometimes forgot that the child existed, so fitted was he to his niche of illusion- he had completely hidden himself from her upon the wagon ordering ceremony... his name had not appeared on her list, however bolstered it had been with magic. And that change had caused the wagons to be ordered in a way that Illusion and Delusion were directly upon one another. That had caused a rift in the balance, Valelldia knew- but before she'd had a chance to correct the order, the meij had attempted to fix the situation itself, giving the final wagon in the caravan- A Light in the Dark- the ultimate balance- Light... against Shadow. Oqaia had told her half-sister of the shadow-creature that had sprung from its item stage quicker than any other, and how there was already havoc with poor Heather's family because of it. ...The fortunes were grim for that wagon, speaking of a great family rift, and rivalry that may create yet another Ash Forest, one day.... And all for the sake of this bird- so quiet, so still. Did he even know what he- or his element- had done to the wagon? Valelldia did not know- but felt uneasy, wondering on the future of this family.

Annjette smiled as she listened to the woman speak. She had done a good thing today, she felt. She glanced back at her father-figure to only see him lightly smile, but it was a smile of approval. So she knew she had definately done something good even if she didn't really need to see it on anyone's face, it was encouraging.
The swan-girl knew that her father would give his all to her just to see her thrive no matter what path she took, but hopefully he was strong enough to lead her down the right path and correct her when she strayed.
Annjette's hands clasped before herself as she thought about questions she could ask, "I have two questions, one I can word more easily than the other...Will I see you again?"

Oqaia ((Sorry about that, your person just got unoccupied ^__^)) Trabor waved goodbye to Caroline and her wee daughter as they disappeared off with one of Cerces Banyas... and then, the cheetah-man looked about, pleased to see that there was a beautiful woman not far from him- with yet another Fortunette daughter. The redheaded man strolled forward confidently, his cheetah tail switching with a staccato nonchalantness as he went. "Semita! ...The meij must smile upon your caravan- so many of you with Fortunettes! Not even half of us have been yet blessed." The man bowed. "I'm Trabor." [It's ok, I still love you <3] Leshya'e nodded to the man that walked towards her, "Yes...The Meij has been very good to us...I'm Leshya'e...This is Anezka..." Anezka curtsied to Trabor and then leaned and tilted her head to get a better look at his tail. Leshya'e chuckled softly and then bowed her head at the man, "It's been so long since I've seen another caravan...The same cane be said for most all of us, i bet."

"If the meij permits it, I would love to see you once more, Annjette."

Trabor saw the little one's eye movement, and laughed, switching his tail grandiosely for her benefit. "Isn't it a beauty? It's one of the few things I have truly left from my days of animalhood. That, of course, and these..." he put his clawed hand up to his face- not only showing them off, but also, pointing to the dark marks about his eyes and the spots that seemed to be sunkisses upon his skin.

In silence and with wide eyes, Mirela watched as Esperita bestowed a gift upon her son. The whole thing was simple, yet elegant – one that left Mirela wondering how so much power and so special a thing could be continued passed on with such ease.
“Thankyou Esperita” the younger gypsy replied, bowing her head in further thanks for the Esperita’s gift. A thoughtful expression passed across Mirela’s face, followed moments later by the question – “Why Tafari? Surely there must be other Fortunettes more deserving of such an honour”

There can be no other reason, than his birthright."

Remove Heather took Vanna and Amkia clapped happily. She smiled at the boy and then looked at Lor. She never believed in love at first sight, maybe she had seen them kiss without actually taking it in, no, must have been her imagenation.
"I won't be far Lor, just in case Vanna wants to come back." She then turned holding the two children. amkia trying to play with Vanna as they moved and Kala at her feet. Lor smiled at her as she wandered off a little, then turned back to Leax. The entrancing... spell that wound around her left her mostly oblivious to all the other commotion - the owl, Annjette's new-found power, Stefan's return. Her eyes focused back on Leax, and she smiled.
"I do think I'll consider it..."
Vanna, meanwhile, adjusted uneasily to being separated from Leax. She squirmed, playing with Amkia only halfheartedly. Something seemed to be.... different in the air, now that she was further away.
