well hidans powers are very interesting. his head gets chopped off then put back. when i read it i was very creeped out and shocked then thought it was interesting and cool for a guy like him. im preatty sad if asuma dies though. usually if a major character like dies or gets injured very badly kishimoto does a thing where it talks about their past and about them a bit more. if it does happen im just wondering what will asumas past be like. my friends keep on telling me that most likely naruto is going to come and save him but hes too late and sees him dead. im not sure if thats going to happen though. it would be interesting though if he does come and asumas final words would be about naruto and the conversation with the chess game that he played with shikimaru. probably not happen but its gonna go to my theory box for awhile to see whats gonna happen 3nodding

wow i thought asuma was gonna die for a second. wait a minute why is the leader of akatsuki there?! im soo confused and he does look like a punk kind of person. i thought he was gonna look sophisticated since hes like the leader and all. sweatdrop weird...cant wait to read what happens though.

I kinda like this chapter.

Concerning Asuma, I think he is going to die. However, since they said he still has a pluse left, there is a possiblity that he'll live. If he lives, that might be.. err.. okay with me I guess. I wouldn't be too happy though. Like imogen said, if he lives, it wastes all the "Asuma will die!" build up. However, if Kishimoto is planning to use Asuma later on in the series and this battle with Hidan was just develop, then I can understand why Asuma would live.

But right now, I think it would've okay if kill Asuma since it would help Team 10 gain more development. Also, I think there's a very small possiblity for using Asuma later. I mean, the story right now is focusing on retrieving Sasuke and I'm pretty sure Asuma isn't going to be a part of rescuing Sasuke. ..Now that I think of it, maybe there might be some use for Asuma later on. And that is fighting members of Akatsuki or specifically, fighting Hidan again. Because eventually, they have to kill of Akatsuki some time in the series. And during Asuma's rematch with Hidan, he could win.. and then die. ... Or maybe I'm just thinking to much.

Anyways, like I said before, I think he is going to die in the next chapter or the next few. And at the beginning of the chapter, while Kurenai was watering the flowers and then the flower broke.. maybe it's a clue that he will die. Hmm.. I just thought of another meaning for the broken flower but I'm pretty sure it was suppose to symbolized lost.. and Kurenai looked like she had felt Asuma die.

Also, to finish this up, yay for Ino and Chouji making an appearance. Hopefully team 8 will make one sometime soon. Maybe they'll end up with a conflict and after their conflict is solved, Kishimoto will move on to Team 7? (or Gai's team then Team 7.. which a bit unlikely to me.. I'm thinking too much again)And.. is that seriously the Akatsuki leader? He looks different from what I imagined. Oh and the crow thingy move.. that was really cool.

Eh. I personally think, after taking the time to -- mentally -- put together the small bits of his face we've been graced with so far.. he's a rather ugly man.

-Red/orange hair.
-Swirly eyes like Kurenai.
-Nose piercings.
-A goatee.

Yeah.. I'm not liking him for his looks right now.

And you know what I don't get? Why Kishimoto has come this close to revealing the 'AL' without showing us that blue-haired member. Because you know, usually.. the leaders of the villains don't show up until the last possible second..

Wouldn't that be just awesome if the blue-haired member turned out to be the leader? Think about it, a female leader.. that would certainly be a surprise..

But it makes sense now. Why else would part of the Akatsuki uniform be nail-polish?

Perhaps Kishimoto isn't much of a sexist after all.. or maybe I'm just thinking too much. -.-;

327:i think that maybe that asuma might survive this one. again not sure but its a maybe. anyway i think it would be cool if the akatsuki leader was a girl. that would explain why everyone is wearing nail polish. kairi.nin i do agree with you that maybe the leader might be the blue haired member.
