Harry gazed at her for a moment. There was a wonderful tingling sensation on his cheek where she had kissed him. Oh . . . wow! he thought. And, she hadn't made fun of him. He gazed into her eyes and, after a moment to bolster his courage, he put one arm around her waist, eyes soft. He began to lean down towards her but stopped jerkily, suddenly unsure of himself.

Adele shivered for a moment when she felt his arm slide around her waist, and tilted her head a little to the right. Her breath seemed to refuse to come to her when he began to lean down, but when he suddenly stopped, she smiled slightly. ...Adorable. She slipped her arms behind his neck and looked up at him with a certain gleam in her eyes, waiting for what she expected to happen soon.

Harry smiled back at her, the tingling following Adele's hands around his neck. He barely stifled a shiver and slowly bent his head down, cautious, not knowing what he was doing, but knowing what to do somehow.
His lips met hers, softly . . .
((want to let you have some fun with it too; my experiance, first kisses are usually a peck if it's the person's very first kiss, but do whatever you'd like 4laugh ))

((xD In my limited experience of first kisses, they're always rather awkward. But I'm not sure how to incorporate that into this, so...-thinks quickly and types-))
Adele touched her lips to his, letting them remain there for a few seconds, before she moved a little away from him. Her cheeks were extremely red, and her grin rather silly. She had no idea what she was supposed to do next, and figured that Harry would be having the same problem. "Wow." she simply murmured, still marveling at the heat she felt radiating off of Harry. It only took a couple more seconds before she succumbed to a little attack of giggles.

Harry nodded in agreeance. It was amazing. A moment after she started giggling, he couldn't help but chuckle a bit.
He looked to the sky, calm now, and gazed at the stars. The night sky was always more beautiful in the Nightshade fields. He pointed almost lazily up at a constellation.
Drake and Alion, the dragon and human lovers he said quietly, gazing up at their forms embraced forever in a kiss.

Adele looked up at Harry, her arms still draped around his neck. She smiled at him before following his hand and looking at the constellation. "...Aren't the stars so beautiful?" she asked, being brave enough to lightly lay her head on his chest as her eyes darted around to look at the other stars.

Harry smiled and slid his other arm around her waist, then rested his head lightly on hers. He smiled as well; he had never been this happy. They are . . . he said, just barely cutting himself short from a really corny line. So, he gave it a moment's thought, and came up with something better, that still said what he wanted to. But they're so far away . . . the brightest star I see here tonight is you Yes, it was still rather corny, but not as bad as what he was going to say "They are, but not as pretty as you".

Adele smiled again at the pressure she felt on top of her head, her cheeks flushing to what he stated. "...That's so sweet of you." she murmured, moving her head out from beneath his and looking up at him with happy eyes. "What would I do without you?" she asked, her arms moving from his neck to wrap around his back as she gave him a hug.

Harry smiled. Probably the same I'd do without you he said, not hinting at all as to what that would be; tonight was a time of being positive, not talking about bad things.
Harry's mind somehow managed to drift. What was it that Broken had said the other day? That the adult drakes could take a mate? Good god, how would he ask her that? He sighed softly and just enjoyed the moment.

Adele thought about it for a moment, smiling up at him. "It'd be very boring, that's for sure." she said, not willing to release his torso just yet. She rested her head on his chest once more and sighed softly as well, simply enjoying the sound of his heartbeat. 'Twas quite comforting, and she found that she never wanted this night to end.

Harry smiled again; he always smiled around her. He sighed again. He had to bring it up somehow, he was sure of it now. But how? How to ask her to be with him forever? He had no ring, as was the human custom. What did the dragons do when taking a mate? He had no idea.
Adele . . . he started, nervous again. He swallowed hard, and continued. I . . . I really love being with you and . . . I don't ever want to be without you he said, pausing again. Come on now, I can do this . . . he said to himself. I guess what I'm asking is . . . Good god . . . this is hard! Focus . . . Err . . . will you be my mate, my companion, my friend . . . forever? There, it was out. Now his nerves really kicked in; what was he going to do if she declined???

When he first stated her name, Adele leaned back and looked up at him with a furrowed brow. As he spoke, though, her eyebrows slowly relaxed. Her lips spread into a smile as her eyes began to glisten. She moved a hand away from him to lightly cover her lips, going over everything he had just told her. ...Is this even real? Is this a dream? she wondered. It all felt real. She could feel her hand touching Harry's back, and her other touching her face. And so, as she moved her hand away from her face, she said the only thing that she was now thinking. "Yes. Yes, a thousand times yes." She wrapped her arms tightly around him again and brought her lips to meet his in a soft kiss.

Harry kissed her with all the excitement he was currently feeling. She had said yes! They were going to be together, forever . . . maybe even raise a family some day. They would be everything he had hoped for and more.
A random thought occurred to him. If they were going to be mates, would they still live in their separate houses, or live together in one? He'd have to build a house and gift it to her, to them, to their future. He was so excited about everything, he could barely hold it in.
