So the vast majority of the people in here are either like waiting for the book or have enough will power not to succumb and read it immediately? I feel like such a bookworm having read it like a week ago... sweatdrop redface

Ai-ren Quinlan on Gentry Investigations message board had posted this there... Quote: Scary thought warning. Andais has threatened to bed Merry if it means having more power. What if Taranis intends to bed her in a double attempt to regain his fertility and impregnate Merry, thus gaining a foothold to controling both courts? Isn't that interesting? I have never thought of that! Good Goddess... that's a terribly scary thought eek
I've been making my library work overtime tracking down books for me ((It's a very small town library but they have an inter-library exchange program <3 )) They actually had the first two Merry books and they got the third one a couple weeks ago, I read it that night lol
They just got Nightseer in for me and they're looking for Incubus Dreams... I wonder if there's a shot they'd be able to find me A Stroke of Midnight too... ninja

I just spotted the new thread for spoilers and it's tempted me to crack open the book. Maybe I'll read just a little at nights when I'm home.. As the commercial said. First time I've seen a commercial for one of her books. Nice.

First time I've seen a commercial for one of her books. Nice. No. Commercials are not nice. It suggests that they want more people to buy it purely so LKH gets more money. That suggests that she's only going to be writing for the money. This is bad... Ver' bad... Besides which, commercials are just damn annoying.

I buy the books because I don't feel like waiting for thenm in a library and then I will continually read them over and over until I get bored, then pick them up a year later and read them alll over again.

Also, does anyone else feel as though the books in the Meredith series have almost become chapters because they just seem to go at that pace?...Did that make any sense? Not that I have a problem with the books going slow or anything. I mean I love the books and in A Stroke of Midnight there was actually a reason, but... gonk I want to know what's going on next...the suspense is killing me!

FenrisVollmond Livythia FenrisVollmond *quietly grumbles in the haven of uncertainty* Poor baby. Do you try ordering online? Maybe you could get it quicker through ebay or something? I ordered my copy the 12th and it arrived the 14th. I haven't started yet, other than the first two chapters on the site. I am going to finish reading the other stories in Bite before I move onto it. I'm gonna eBay in about a week. Maybe there will be a copy up. Never know until you try. *Grin* Going price on eBay, AU$20-$30 for the book. Hardcover. Plus extra for postage. Going to wait alittle more, I think. If lucky, it may hit the shelf at a place I know sells American copies as they're out in the US... Or I may just wait for price to drop on eBay.

I could finally say "Hey, I know that!" while watching tv with people who don't read the series. Writing just for money sounds bad though. Sorta makes me think thats why the Anita series is.. the way it is. I'm trying to remember where I noticed the commercial. Has anyone else seen it? And yikes, thats a lot for a book. When I was looking before it was released here I found it for like 14.95 with free shipping. I waited too long though ; I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Would it make you feel better if I stated the American dollar price? $15.50 - 19.50 ... then there are 4.95 shipping costs. Everyone I looked at (and I didn't look at 'em all) said that they'd ship worldwide.
I was only looking at the 'Buy Now' options... Bidding is too risky, too easy to get outdone at the last sec. lol
