Hi everyone. I'll be a beginning freshman at UC Berkeley this fall, and I plan to major in mathematics. I enjoy reading about physics in popular science media; in fact this March I went to see Stephen Hawking give a lecture on cosmology at UC Berkeley. During the summer I'm going to try and get as many calc 2 and 3 concepts under my belt as I can so I won't have to study as hard when I'm taking the actual class.

hiya everyone! im a first year mechanical engineering student over in australia. I have been into physics ever since i can remember... mainly mechanics and nuclear/quantum physics would be my favorites! unfortunately, i aint the best when it comes to elecricity and magnetism, but i am trying hard to get the theory of them stuck in my head! wel talk to you all later!

Hello all, I am Lexy (yes a girl with a male avi... this is one of my secondary creations) I am 20 and a junior majoring in Math and History. I live in the US in Montana to be precise, but I am in love with the East Coast, specifically Annapolis xd . After I graduate (in two years, yay for the 5 year plan... compliments of the double major) I am going to head east to become a grad student specializing in military history. I love to study Greek history, especially that of the Spartans (hence the spartan avi and his profile xd ). I tutor math and physics at my university. I have a love affair with calculus and I do it for fun. My favorite hobby is theoretical physics, which I realize makes me a total nerd (as if having licence plates on my car saying math didn't already give that away.)
I love reading and writing. I love being outside, I love running. I love calculus. I am a movie whore, I dislike TV for the most part. I am a car girl... especially classics. I scuba dive. I adore football, even though my team always loses. I am an amature art photographer. I listen to every kind of music. I am passionate about POW-MIAs there are still to many unaccounted for from past wars and there are many more now in Iraq. Well thats me in a nutshell, I probably forgot a lot but as you can see I am a passionate person and there is very little in the world I don't enjoy. (and if you didn't notice I love talking xd and I can be very verbous)

poweroutage that's a pretty interesting assortment of things, is math useful for your history of military stuff? It can be at times, mostly just in that I can see patterns easier and do quick comparisons based off of percentages. One thing I am interested in doing is trying to find a way to utilize more math in history. I know some people use basic projectile equations and the like when analyzing battle fields.

Hi i am a student in year 10 from Australia. I like physics because of all the cool theories surrounding it and its interesting to find out how stuff works. I plan to go to university once i finish high school but i`m still not sure what i want to get a job as, maybe something to do with computers or physics. I get around 95% in my physics tests in school and 65% in my math ones. I`m gonna practice maths more because i want to do good in my exams next year. I think physics and maths are the best subjects because unlike other subjects you can workout the answer you don't have to remember it, like in history, you ether know the date or you don't. I don't like any other type of science besides physics because chemistry is to hard to remember and human bio i haven't done yet but i bet it will be hard.

I am a thirteen year old student. I will be in the ninth grade next year.
I am self teaching mathematics, physics, and computer science. For math, I am using Kolmogorov and Fomin's Introductory Real Analysis; for comp sci, I am reading Cormen's Introduction To Algorithms; for physics, I am reading Young's University Physics.
I am fascinated by the intricacy of nature, and all things mathematical. I firmly hold the belief that integrated mathematics is flawed, and that math in schools needs to be placed on a rigorous foundation.
I find children at school dull and spend most of my day on sci.math.
Nice to meet you all! I hope we can be friends 3nodding

Well, I'm Jetje, 17 years old, and just graduated from high school here in the Netherlands. next year I'm studying physics&astrophysics in Utrecht, probably with eather math or biologie as an expansion... I'm not really a nerd in physics, but I like to learn and to talk about it... besides that I like sports, reading, puzzeling, gaming, chatting, being creative and watching movies.

Hi i'm Ali. I'm a 17 year old high school student in Texas. I am just coming into my senior year in high school. I am a total science geek. I like physics, but my real passion is chemistry. I have taken AP Chem and AP Phy B, and this year I will be taking AP Bio. I want to do medical research.

Hey, my name is Tom. I took physics my senior year in high school. I barely studied redshift for one of my chemistry projects, and I heard about the coldest form of matter created using electromagnetic fields and lasers
