This might have already been mentioned.. -glances at thread pages- but is Mello s'posed to be catholic? Or something? o0
It seems like it, what with all the crosses and.. the virgin mary images. [x][x] AND STUFF. -stare-
.. just wonderin'. D:
I think he just likes the scary/wierd/cool image it gives him. Don't satanists and stuff wear catholic trinkets in a gothic looking way to make em look scary?

Im sure Mello hasnt been around recently because he's been plotting some wicked amazing scheme that will totally pwn Light's a**. And since his absence has been so long, when Mello does return, he probably has something amazing to say as well. In the end, Mello will probably end up as the only one alive in a barren wasteland. He and Mat will have to restart civilization all over again!

Im sure Mello hasnt been around recently because he's been plotting some wicked amazing scheme that will totally pwn Light's a**. And since his absence has been so long, when Mello does return, he probably has something amazing to say as well. In the end, Mello will probably end up as the only one alive in a barren wasteland. He and Mat will have to restart civilization all over again! With the mentioning of Mello pwning Light's a**... it made me think of this reason for Mello's recent absence: He's just too busy pounding Mat's a**!

Well, a lot of crosses are in Death Note, really... probably just for looks.
As for the Satanist angle... I suppose it depends on the type of Satanist you're talking about? Or if you're just meaning some rebelious Christian/Catholic trying to be a devil worshipper?
Now as for the whole Catholic thing-- Well, Mello... Oh come on people. How could anyone suggest this and not realize what's going through my head... and also not suggest it themselves?
Mello's crazyness has finally found and explanation! It's true roots are in how those Catholic priests gang raped him when he was little!
... *falls over giggling* ... hmm... I wonder if they got to Near and L too?
