The angry expression quickly melted away to be replaced with one of obvious confusion as Michael mentioned a brother. He tilted his head in curiosity, blinking as the words clearly made no sense to him.
"Brother.... but... My brother is too old to come here... I don't underst---" But after a moment, Rei did understand. Mamaoru... he was passing himself off as his brother? But why would he do something like that....unless he was planning on getting out more and more often. Rei remembered the empty pill bottles he had found in his room earlier, and his stomach clenched convulsively with apprehension. This didn't bode well at all.. In the back of his mind, Rei heard condescending laughter, and it was more than clear to him who it belonged to.
Rei looked to Michael again, smiling as he once again denied any sort of sttraction to this feminine looking stranger. For the moment, that kid and Mamoru both were forgotten, and Rei smiled at his boyfriend before launching himself at him, wrapping his tthin arms around the other's neck.
"I'm sorry, My-kun. I shouldn't have jumped down your throat that way... I just... I guess I have a pretty nasty jealous streak, ne..."

"Well," Miacheal resumed his grinning features, "I guess I just know not to leave any question for you anymore. Believe me, I don't mess around, okay? I'm yours, and only yours."
He kissed Rei's cheek lightly and nuzzled him affectionately. "You're so cute."

Reiku blushed. No matter how understanding Michael was about it, Rei still felt impressively childish about his behavior. It wasn't a good way to keep someone you loved close. Quite the contrary, it tended to push people away. Rei felt as though he'd presented more than enough crazy for Michale to deal with... he didn't want to add anymore that would tip the scales out of his favor. He sighed heavily, blowing his bergundy bangs upward witht he action.
"Cute... well, that's not the word I'd use. But you can, if you want. So.. So he didn't do anything to hurt you, ne? mamoru, I mean? He didn't hit your or... anything, right?"

"Well," Michael began, "He did bite my leg, but it's not like he broke skin or anything. What about you? Is your chest bruised, what about your cheek? Is everything okay there?"
Michael had almost forgotten the possible damage he could have caused in his frustration last night.

Reiku emitted a slightly strangled sound as his cheeks flamed with color.
"He bit you? Where? Oh My-kun, I'm so sorry!"
troubled chocolate brown eyes travelled up and down his boyfriend's lithe form, searching for any markings that would match up with his bite. nervously he ran his tongue along his teeth, but could find no tell tale markings on arm or face. Holding his breath, he even ventured a peek at Michael's neck, hoping upon hope that he would not find it there. The teen breathed an audible sigh of relief when he did not.
"Where did he bite you, My-kun? Did he leave a mark. Oh, I'm so very sorry... You know I'd never... I mean... Gomen nasai..." His eyes stung as he felt embarrassed tear start to well. Mamoru was going to make this relationship very tough, at best, but Reiku wasn't willing to give up on it just yet. He lowered his thumb from between his lips and crossed his arms tightly before he managed to force a smile into place...still his eyes didn't quite meet Michael's.
"N-ne, My-kun... weren't we supposed to meet Ariko and Shinohara-san for breakfast? I wonder if they're up yet...

"Goodness, Rei-kun, you act like you're poisonous or something. Or like a vampire." Michael giggled as he stared off into space for a couple seconds, his mind picturing an angry Reiku snake with exagerated fangs trying to snarl, but it was too commical to be frightening. Then he saw a Reiku vampire with a black bat-wing cape and a tuxedo, acting in Dracula fashion.
He couldn't help himself, he simply burst into laughter. He doubled over laughing so hard, he wasn't even sure exactly why. The images had been funny, but not that funny. But he laughed even harder, crying with giggles. "Itai... Ha-ha... Y-yeah, hehehe, I think we do. Hoooooooh," he squeezed out as he recoverd, still giving off the random giggle that hadn't quite escaped.

Reiku blushed as Michael laughed harder and harder still. Had he said something funny? He had no idea... but he did really like the sound of Michael's laughter. It made him feel all warm and tingly inside. It was a nice laugh.
"Well, uh, do you still want to go?"

"Yeah, let's head out!" He seemed excited. "Sorry about laughing, just an image in my head. It was a little funny." Michael got up and took out another pair of clothes. he began to strip down and redress.

Rei blinked, his eyes growing a bit round behind his mussy bangs as Michael began changing his clothes. He giggled a bit nervously under his breath and dropped his gaze to his lap. He was still so unsure how to act around his boyfriend, no matter how comfortable the other seemed to be around him. Should he look? Not look? Turn his back? Make no big deal of it? Wait in the hall? He began to once more gnaw on the back of his thumbnail as he sorted through his options. One would think being alone with the object of his affection would make things asier, but most times he was more confused than ever.
Sighing, he dicided to follow his boyfriend's lead. If Michael wasn't embarassed, then really there was no reason for Reiku to be, right? Well, it made sense in his head at least, but he suspected it was something easier said than done as the warmth refused to recede from his cheeks. He made his way over to the doorway and slipped his sneakers back on as he waited for Michael to finish up.

Michael watched Rei out of the cornor of his eye. He felt a little guilty about doing this, but he wanted to use it as a test to se how Rei really felt about it right now. He tried to hurry some.
Once he ha dzipped and belted his pants, he picked a shirt out and turned, with an ambiguous look on his face. "Rei, I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable just then, I didn't really... mean to." He blushed himself a little and looked to the window. He hated lying, but surely this couldn't hurt. He didn't want to seem vindictive because he wasn't, just curious.
((What's the weather like anyway? And the month?))

"Iie iie," muttered Rei with a flap of his hand. He bowed his head in an effort to hide his flaming cheeks beneath his naturally rumpled hair. "I-it's no big deal. I mean... you're supposed to be able to do those sorts of things in front of me, ne? And, this is your room. Yu don't have to apologize to me."
He lifted his head a bit so that he could peek at Michael bashfully through his bangs. He saw the other looking out the window, gnawing mildly on his thumbnail.
"You might want to put on a sweatshirt or something. It's pretty nice out, but it's still early, so there's a chill in the air," he supplied helpfully.

"Yeah, looks pretty nice. Do you know if it's supposed to rain later? I just wanted to be prepared if it happens." Michael pulled out the green sweater issued to him by the school and slipped it on, the baggy garment completely masking his slim figure.

Rei shook his head in negation.
"I don't think so. You should be fine, it's supposed to be sunny today. It's actually supposed to get warmier, according to the weather center. You'll probably be able to take off that sweater. I just get chilly easy. So, you ready?" With a small, shy smile and a pinkening of the cheeks, he extended his hand to Michael, waiting for him to take it in his own.

Michael looked toward Reiku, a warming smile across his face. He took Rei's hand and did a dancing spin around him, kissing him on the back of the head and his cheek.
He let go and ran to his shoes donning them and gathering his ID and key card. He opened the door and looked back to Reiku, bowing and saying, "After you, lovely."

Reiku's head dipped a bit lower, but not quickly enough to hide the obviously pleased smile that adorned his fne pink lips. Lovely... He couldn't say that was ever one the words directed towards him. Mean, anti-social, stuck-up, stupid.... those were the terms he was more than familiar with. He'd heard it just as much at home as he'd heard it since enrolling in Matrimony.
But Michael... Michael never had anything but kind words for him. Reiku wanted despertately to be worthy of them. his hand squeezing Michael's slightly without realizing, he led the way toward the cafeteria, wondring vaguely if Ariko and his girlfriend had made it there yt or if they were still sleeping.
