Cyndir let out a half-strangled cry, burying his face against Sanzo's chest. The look in his lover's eyes bore through his heart like a drill through glass, shattering it before it could make a proper hole.
He slowly brought his hands down Sanzo's sides. He didn't want to hurt him...But Cyndir couldn't argue, not when Sanzo's eyes were so full of tears. Anything that would convince him that this was real. They were real. They were here together. After all...you couldn't feel physical pain in a dream, right? So then they knew they weren't sleeping. They had eachother for this moment.
He locked his arms around the taller boy's sides and slowly tightened his grip. His arms were tensed and ready to release should it hurt too much...But it had to be real. He needed Sanzo.
"We're still here..." he whimpered. "We're still here, right?"

Sanzo bit his lower lip as Cyndir's arms wrapped around his still injured back. The pain was nowhere near as severe as yesterday, but it was there. But it wasn't a bad pain at that moment, feeling Cyndir's hands smooth against the bruises was soothing. What was between the two of them was real, and Sanzo never wanted to lose sense of that again.
"H-hai Cyn-kun, we're still here...." The tears becan to stop as Sanzo relaxed in Cyndir's arms. "I love you Cyn-kun, I just....never want to lose you....I can't lose you." Sanzo pressed his lips to the top of Cyndir's head, resting his chin there while he squeezed tightly. "I won't lose you Cyn-kun, you're mine and I'm yours. I'll do anything to protect that Cyn-kun. I swear....anything"
A slight grin came across Sanzo's lips as he sat in Cyndir's embrace, holding onto him as tight as he could. "It doesn't hurt Cyn-kun, just a little longer please. Don't let go of me please"

Cyndir entwined his body with Sanzo's, keeping his arms locked around the taller boy's torso. He pressed his face against Sanzo's chest, seeking what warmth and comfort he could get from the contact. He couldn't bring any words to mind. Even if he could have thought of something to say,, he doubted he could have gotten it past the lump in his throught. He had never experienced such true devotion before...It was all the more startling that it was in the arms of another male that he was experiencing this.
He wasn't sure how long he was silent...But finally, he looked up, his dual-colored eyes shining with emotion he couldn't quite express. Not knowing how else to tell Sanzo how much he cared for him, how much he loved him...How much he never wanted to be without this feeling ever again, he leaned up and pressed his lips to Sanzo's. His hands finally broke their deathgrip around his waist and his fingers twined with Sanzo's. He hoped he could convey how he felt in that much. They say actions speak louder than words after all.

As Cyndir locked his hand with Sanzos, he could see how much Cyndir really did care for him. Words weren't needed as the last few moments with Cyndir had spoke to his heart. Sanzo really was in love with him, something he hadn't thought would ever happen to him. Up until Cyndir entered his life, every other relationship had felt empty. But Cyndir changed all of it, with his dual colored eyes and dyed red hair. Messy room aside, he couldn't hate a thing about Cyndir. Anyone else before this point didn't matter to Sanzo at all. All he cared for was Cyndir and the bond between them. Sanzos trip to detention had bonded the two of them together, and he welcomed the pain that followed finding his happiness in Cyndir's arms.
Sanzo looked deep into Cyndir's eyes and leaned closer, kissing him on the tip of the nose. "I love you too Cyndir....thank you for loving me."

Cyndir shook his head, finding his eyes damp. But...the tears were...happy. He was happy. He made a soft sound in his throat, and looked up.
"N-no...I should be thanking you...You showed me...I was hiding it for so long. I didn't realize...There's nothing wrong with being happy..." he nuzzled against Sanzo's side again and sighed. He wanted to stay there for as long as he could.
But time always seems to fly when you most want it crawl. His watch beeped, and Cyndir cursed in Romanian, something which he had done so rarely since coming to Japan.
"Zo-kun, I have to go...Why is it that time goes so fast when everything is perfect? Do you want to meet for dinner after my Band Practice?"

"What did you just say Cyn-kun?" Sanzo had a confused look on his face as Cyndir blurted some weird language. He unwrapped his arms and allowed Cyndir to get up from the bed. "After band is fine, you want me to meet you there or at the cafeteria? You could always come back here and wake me up. I was thinking of taking a nap."
Sanzo kissed Cyndir on his cheek before he got up to go to class. "No need to thank me. I love you Cyn-kun. I'm glad you're happy, because so am I." Sanzo smiled and tilted his head to the side. "Well you better be off. As much as I'll miss you, I'd hate to see you shocked for skipping class. I couldn't make you suffer on my account."

Cyndir made a face.
"I'm used to getting shocked. You know how many times I snuck up on that old ogre of a math teacher when I had her? And people wonder why I dropped the class. It's not my fault no one heard me coming."
He chuckled, and grinned. "And it was just some random curseword in Romanian. I doubt I could even speak the language fluently anymore, but you never forget the profanities it seems."
His fingers toyed with a strand of red-tinted hair before tucking it behind his ear. "I guess I'll come back here and get you then. And hey, it's Friday. Not much longer. I swear if we didn't have weekends I think I would have gone mental by now." he grinned once more, before reaching for the doorknob. "Ja ne, Zo-kun, see ya after classes."

As the door closed, Sanzo rolled onto his side and took his glasses off. "Why couldn't it be the weekend, I don't want him to go." Setting the glasses on the desk above him and curling up with a pillow, it didn't take long for him to drift into dreamland. His backpain wasn't nearly as bad as it had been the day before, so falling asleep seemed to come more naturally.

After a quick stop in his room to drop off his belongings, Cyndir slowly opened the door to Sanzo's room and peeked inside. Still asleep? The boy grinned to himself, shaking his head. And he called me a sleepyhead? Well, I hope he feels better. All that sleep had to be good for something...
Cyndir closed the door behind him, pausing to let his eyes adjust to the dimmer interior of Sanzo's room before he made his way over to the bed. He sat down on the floor and propped his elbows on the mattress, setting his chin against his arm as he watched his boyfriend sleep. Boyfriend...the term still made Cyndir blush.
After a minute, he ran his fingers through Sanzo's short locks.
"Zo-kun...time to get up..." he said softly, leaning forward to place a kiss on his forehead.

Sanzo stirred slightly at the sound of his door opening, but wasn't close to waking up. His body loved being in the dream world of sleep, forgetting the pain that ran the length of his spine.
"Zo-kun...time to get up..."
The fingers in his hair combined with the voice that softly echoed in his head caused Sanzos eyes to flutter open. "Cy-....Cyn-kun...." He blinked a few times as his eyes tried to focus, well,....as much focus as he could really get.
He reached over his head and grabbed his glasses from the desk as he sat up. Sliding them on his face, a giant yawn gaped his mouth wide before slamming shut as he focused on Cyndir's face. "Wow,....sorry about that. I must have been really.....SEVEN!! It's seven already!" A look of shock crossed his face as he realized he slept most of the day away.

Cyndir pushed his heavy forelock out of his eyes and sat back on his rear, stretching his legs out under the bed. He grinned at Sanzo.
"Relax, Zo-kun. It's not like you had to go to classes." he leaned back on his hands and blew his bangs upward. "Besides, sleep helps you heal faster. Can't have you laid up for the Festival."
Cyn got to his feet and dusted his pants off more of habit than because Sanzo's floor was dirty. He never did understand how the boy could keep the place so immaculate, when he couldn't even remember to make his bed.
"So, Zo-kun, you hungry?"

"I guess I should,....." A loud grumble churned from Sanzos stomach as the thought of food passed through his mind. "....hmm, hungrier than I thought it seems." He stood from the bed and stretched his arms high above his head, groaning as his muscles straightened from the slumber state.
Dropping his arms to his sides, Sanzo walked to Cyndir and wrapped his arms around the smaller boys back. "I missed you,...." He planted a kiss on the tip of his nose, and squeezed Cyn closer to him. "I'm glad you came and woke me up. I might have slept all day, then I really wouldn't have gotten to see you."
He released Cyn with a kiss against the cheek before walking over to the chair and picking up his shirt. Gingerly sliding his arms into the sleeves and over his shoulders, Sanzo buttoned up the shirt and slid his feet into a pair of Midori green slippers. "Where do you want to go Cyn-kun? The cafeteria or the union?"

Cyndir looked up at Sanzo, grinning like a schoolboy. "And you call me a sleepyhead." he scrunched up his face at the taller boy and squirmed in his grip.
When Sanzo released him, he folded his hands behind his head, and rocked back on his heels. "I dunno, I'm not picky." he said absently, watching the boy dress. "You pick."
"Oh, you know that Inoue kid, that Ariko hangs around?" he asked, grinning. "I think he's got a boyfriend. This new guy, Michael. It's kinda weird...cuz the new kid is all open and outgoing, but Inoue never talks to anyone." Cyndir chuckled, remembering the look on his face when he hit him with that rubber band. "He was in Band class today, even though he doesn't play anything...he stuck out his tongue at me so I hit him with a rubber band...I knew there was a reason I stuck in my pocket the other day..."

Sanzo walked back to Cyndir and wrapped an arm around his back as he reached the boys side. "Let's try the union. I'm kind of in the mood for just some miso and a sandwich, maybe a cup of tea."
He kissed the top of his head and began to lead him to the door. "Really,....that is a shock. Inoue barely says a word to me when he's with Ariko. Speaking of Ariko, I haven't seen him since lunch time. I wonder what he's up to." Opening the door a crack, Sanzo moved his arm from Cyn's back and took one of his hands from his head, holding it down to their sides. "Ready?"

Sanzo taking his hand elicited a little giggle from the redhead, which in turn brought about a faint blush.
"Union sounds good to me. I kinda just want a smoothie anyway."
His stomach grumbled at that and he chuckled. "Well, maybe I just want a smoothie but my stomach wants more than that I guess. Sandwich it is then."
He pushed the door open the rest of the way and pulled Sanzo with him.
