our show this last year was The Gates...boring title but really cool show. had these huge gates all around with people marching through and around them. we only played one piece, but it was a full 8 min. it was called The Chairman Dances. it won us a northwest championship smile . we've won that 5 out of 6 six years...band directors are upping it tho, were going to florida next october for a competition. scary, and expensive. lol.

our band director sucks...
i don't even want to talk about it... i'll start raving.
but... yeah.... omg.... i wanna puke/
it was hard to control myself when she said she was sending in her resignation... i almost jumped up and danced.
its fun to annoy her though. shes really short so we always make shorty jokes...
and one time she comes to class... and she cries "I solved the rubix cube!" *holds it up proudly*
and i stand up "I solved one of those when i was five!"
and she just glared at me...
and we crashed her wedding.
we had a sign in the sax cabinet that said ____ days till bow chicka wow wow! (cuz we all new she was gonna get laid that night)
so we got her a card that sayd "marriage is great"..."it makes everything you want to do decent and legal"
and a ribbon that said "I Did It!"
it was great.
it so fun to torture her though.
she sucks

my freshmen year our show was all right. we got the drill/theme from a college in indiana or something. it was a dave matthews theme.
opener - too much
ants marching/what would you say
ballad - the space between
closer - stay
there was a trumpet trio in the space between and it was really awesome, we had a scatter drill at one point for like 32 measures, it was always funny to see people running around one another.
last year's show pretty much sucked, i don't know what my BD was thinking, but none of the song's had ANYTHING to do with each other and he wrote the drill himself, needless to say it sucked and the trumpets and clarinets had to switch numbers like three times.

closer - karn evil 9
yeah, i don't know what that was about. in caelum, then some disco-ish song, then a ZORRO song, then something by emmerson lake and palmer! it was such a lame show. stare
hopefully this year'll be better, but i'm not too thrilled about doing another "70s/80s band" themes. we're playing the music of chicago, i just don't remember what songs, cassell hasn't handed out the music yet. it makes me so mad, this time last year we already had our music months ago as well as two new drum majors. hfjkdshfka i hate my BD..

we're doing wicked... i need to watch that.
we use marching band concepts as our music and charting (wich sucks, their pirates of the carribean is totally stupid!)
OMFG.... we are getting a new band director... last years absolutely sucked... this one has had over 10 years teaching experience, 20th year in music. highschool drum major and all that good stuff. i am so excited because she knows what marching band is about.

Skye of Thunder Hehe...poor Masq...I'd probably do the same thing... Let's see...our show for this year is an "Animal Rock" theme....We're doing Crocidile Rock, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, Rockin' Robin, and Hound Dog...a pretty cool show I guess seeing how we just got a new BD coolio my band teacher is leaving this year.... crying i'm not actually sad though sweatdrop cause i'm a freshman and this is my first year..... but i had like five different band teachers in seventh grade and a diffrent one every year in middle school... yup my middle school was retarted sad

Ours this year is called Snakes, Lizards, and Dragons.
It's not lame. Trust me.
We have 300 people playing the thickest music that flies by at 180 beats a minute. Our music and our drill are specially written for us, we don't go out and use shows other people have done. And we have so much choreography it's not funny. Jazz running, dancing...all that stuff. And it's all arcs and follow the leaders in Snakes...just like a snake. C:

SubHumanRemains our show last year was the incredibles. ours next year is pirates of the carribean. i'm an aspiring drum major and i'm a freshmen. oo... good question anyone go to U.S.A. camps? (united spirit association) i'm going this year as my first year hopefully if my parents allow. i'm doing military. its impossible but ill do it.
I mean when I was in eighth grade I was a student director and got the directors' award, so I mean I'm already on my way there!!!

Just yesterday night, we had our third game. We won 41 to 6, we totally killed the other team! Our show this year is Jekyll & Hyde, and we are pretty good. Our BD is awesome, he can get 3 sets a day out of us.

I just came back from our FIRST INVITATIONAL!!!
We got fifth place out of seven, but we would have gotten higher if we were further into our season like the other bands.
