Page Necromanteion

A shiver ran through the Page as he answered the pull. "Oh... That's... that's a lot different then I thought it would be. He glanced around, both at their surroundings and the large number of people both human and... otherwise, grouped together. Was that normal? Wait. Where those...

Aliens?

Oh boy... Necromanteion wasn't sure what he expected, but Alien's wasn't very high up on that list.

"Ah... I suppose I should have asked this sooner but... Is there anything I'm suppose to do? Or is it pretty much... Listen and chime in if I've got something to say?" Necro stuck his hands in the pockets of his jacket, suddenly nervous. "...Can we.. not tell them what I was?" He wasn't sure how people were going to react, and he definitely wasn't ready for that kind of fallout just yet.

Eternal Sailor Metis

"Always a lovely thought, and something I keep in mind I swear, but it is fun to run into you at times like this," she quipped back, bemused at the notion of summoning him. She couldn't help but respond a bit playfully. Though she wasn't a fan of the dark, empty void that sat in her mind's eye, Metis herself didn't hold much distrust over the alien any more. Caedus had made them an offer, and had come through on his side of the deal. He'd not caused problems, and from all accounts she'd heard, had been nothing but kind. Even Realta liked him. But she wasn't going to tsk anyone for their doubts--it was healthier than to just blindly accept things, even in their magical existence.

The new look Caedus was sporting had a brow quirking, though. Military? Interesting. "Certainly an upgrade, I suppose," she murmured, curious about why such a look, when Athalia voiced his objection to being, in a way, summoned. She smirked slightly up at him. "But you don't take issue with me effectively pulling you somewhere. That is what you just said I could do," she teased. "And just wait till you go through an illusion that makes you think you lived an entirely different life for a while..." Those were... rueful awakenings when coming out of that.

Before she could agree with his wariness, though, he nudged her, and his wording made her head tilt sidewise slightly as she frowned up at him curiously. "Oh, sure. Yeah. Just let me know when you're free? If... things end alright here, we can speak after, even?" Her brow furrowed, somewhat hidden by the blindfold. The sudden request to talk made her... antsy. Nervous. Mostly because as she tried to wrack her brain, she couldn't figure out what it might be. He didn't seem to be stressed about something, or preoccupied with thoughts on something else. So what... Metis took in a slight breath, internally shaking herself to nudge off the uneasy thoughts. They'd speak when they could, and she'd hear whatever was up, then. Stressing about it now wouldn't do her any good.

"You're not wrong though," she gave him in reference to being pulled in by something, voice losing its teasing tone as she looked back to the collection around the void. "This isn't the first time Order has found itself... called to Caedus. I'd actually like to learn how he does that. I think he has valuable information and technology we could learn from, but..." The Eternal shrugged, frowning slightly. "Just because things turned out well before, doesn't always mean it will continue. Though I certainly hope for a positive outcome again." At least, in her mind, the attack on the Negaverse, and taking out one of their leaders, had been up there for a positive outcome...

But she was entirely biased.

As Caedus began to speak, she went silent, listening intently. The quick recap she recalled from the previous time of meeting the alien. But then he began to mention them, and they, and something moved against the void of the dome in her vision. Another, larger figure. Identified Commodore Lyndin. She sucked in a sharp breath. "...spirits guide us, there really are more alive." The words were a slip of the tongue, a seepage from her time spent on her asteroid. Awe, delight, curiosity, all twirled together in her head. But she couldn't focus on that for long. The man was speaking. Mention of a Vanguard. A world of other living beings. Her mind was reeling. He'd been unsure, she thought she recalled, if his people were still alive. At least one was. More, if she were to guess by the Commodore's language.

Her hand went to Athalia's arm, gripping firmly as a wide grin spread across her face.

The joy didn't last, though. It faltered, the smile falling away as the Commodore spoke. She couldn't see the screen or its contents, but she heard what he was saying. A weapon that could break into the Rift, attack Metallia herself. Energy from the Earth, a comet. Take out the Negaverse. Even if they didn't help, the aliens would keep working towards their mission. She felt... sick, sort of. Joy and hope warred with unease. People began to speak, tossing out their questions, their concerns, their votes of approval or disapproval.

Good, strong points were brought up to be cautious of the tantalising promise set before them. To be rid of Metallia once and for all... even just to weaken her... Metis squeezed a bit harder on Athalia's arm. It was something she wanted, so <******** badly. If Metallia was gone, perhaps the Negaverse could fall, or be easier to take apart. Senshi wouldn't be needed. They could have their lives back-- but people made points even her optimism couldn't wriggle away from.

When Athalia began to speak, though, she tensed, hearing his sharp words and snarls with a wince. Mostly because she didn't like that she could understand where his concerns were coming form. She leaned into him a bit, listening still to what everyone was saying. She heard Ganyemede clearly, and smiled slightly. To Athalia, she said softly, "We should come back tomorrow, or the day after even. I'd like to hear more from them about the comet, and this weapon. Mainly how they think they can ensure this weapon can't fall into the hands of another. Or how they know where to strike to hit Metallia herself... or why hitting her here will help their world, or--" She broke off, closing her eyes with a deep sigh. So many questions. But closing her eyes did nothing, it was merely a physical reflex that couldn't block out her sight of the gathering.

And, somewhere in all the din, she realized there was a particularly bright light that stood out against the voids in her vision. She blinked, staring towards the source (Kurma), brow furrowed as she stared in his direction rather blatantly--well, if one could notice beyond the blindfold. It was white, brilliant energy, a stark difference to anything else in the area. She'd only seen that really in things like fire, or magical blasts. Not so much in a humanoid shape. But... among the overpowering brightness, flickers of copper tendrils weaved. Something tingled at the back of her mind. Recollection? Metis gave a faint snort through her nose, shaking her head slightly in wonder. She remembered this. Something from years, and years ago. Her first time up in space. "Will wonders ever cease?"

Kepler - Super Senshi of Words

Honestly she hadn't meant to zone out as hard as she did for as long as she did. Kepler was just assessing everything and everyone, trying to figure out if she knew anyone here at all.

The answer was no, she still didn't know anyone, and that unsettled the super senshi a lot. She used to know so many people.

With a start she had realized people had been introduced to her, but she'd missed the chance to properly introduce herself because these aliens, Caedus and Lyndin had started talking. She only just realized there was a second alien right there, but that made sense. Where there was one there was bound to be more. Even with the Eyes, one was active right now, but the other two were somewhere.

They were talking about tearing into the rift, furthering the end of the war. To completely cripple the Negaverse. She had a thick feeling in her stomach that made it ache slightly as he the pair of them talked. It sounded way too good to be true. She put a finger to her lip as she started to think, before switching to one of her thumb nails, worrying it with her teeth.

She had nothing to add. Not really. Nothing but 'what if it doesn't work' or 'what if they're lying and they're trying to help the Negaverse', or even 'what happens if the weapon backfires? What damage would it do to them, and earth?' So for now, Kepler stayed quiet. Not exactly trusting, but she wouldn't be getting in anyone's way.

Wait and see what happens next.

Lepus, Eternal Senshi of Rabbits + Mauvian Etoile

Lepus wasn’t exactly the smartest at times- she was very much a act now, maybe regret things later sort of person- but there seemed to be something going on between the Leporis twins, that they were now trying to cover up in her presence. Judging from the contemplative noise Etoile made from atop her head, Lepus could be certain that the tiny Mauvian had noticed something was off, too… even if she didn’t know Alpha and Beta that well.

Of course, Lepus wasn’t exactly an expert on mediating things, as much as she was causing problems, and she was seventeen and not, uh… well, she couldn’t remember how old she was when she first met the twins, but having been a senshi since she was nine years old, the general point was she wasn’t a cute and innocent kid anymore! Not that she’d ever entirely been innocent at any point in time before or after becoming a senshi, but details.

Point was, Lepus wasn’t exactly… an innocent cute kid that could get away with causing potential discourse with her words, not that she had let that stop her before, but this time was different, somehow. Mostly probably because she wanted to try to do some sleuthing to see if she could deduce what was going on, and also because aliens. So on one hand, she wanted to call them out for being bad actors (because if anyone was an expert on putting on an act, it was Lepus), on the other hand… well, hm. The teen could get info out of them one way or another. Maybe she’d have Etoile do it. People couldn’t resist telling their secrets to a cute sweets-loving kitten, right?

“College, huh?” Lepus said, playing along for now and commiserating with Alpha, “Ugh, I bet it really sucks- Crystal’s bad enough, having been my prison for these past few years- I don’t even want to think about college.”

(Even though she graduated from Crystal next year.)

At Alpha’s question about the news, Lepus tilted her head thoughtfully, while Etoile hopped down and shifted to humanoid form, for ease of having opposable thumbs. “Oh yeah, the aliens? I didn’t catch much because I just got here, but it sounds pretty interesting so far.”

Was she truly paying attention? Sort of, but with all the conversations going on around them, Lepus was going to have to ask for the abridged version later.

Princess Ganymede

Lyndin’s reassurances were not as inspiring as they might be to some of the others, if only because Ganymede could not stop watching Caedus, could not help but make note of the fact that Lyndin did most of the talking, and Caedus seemed content to let him do so, despite the likelihood that Caedus’s word would hold more sway with the assembled group. Perhaps the dynamic was entirely innocent, and Ganymede was merely projecting, but she remembered, many centuries ago, being a quiet young man with power and authority who nonetheless allowed bolder, more physically imposing men to speak on his behalf.

Back then, it did not always end well.

She was less concerned about donating energy. Oberon’s demonstration would certainly convince others of its safety, but Ganymede, being Transcended, would have an easier time recovering from the drain by going to her homeworld, should she choose to donate, and thus had no qualms about that aspect. She cared more for how it would be used than how it would be acquired.

Through all of it, Ganymede did not fail to take in Valhalla’s words, his expression of loyalty. She turned to him and smiled.

“Come with me,” she said, “when I speak to them. Your restraint might stop me from causing too much trouble.”

That he called her Princess was a rare thing. Ganymede could not determine what sort of feelings that invoked even when she spent time examining them. On the one hand, she knew what he meant by it; on the other… she was still just Ganymede, regardless of her power.

“I’m not asking anyone to follow me, even you, I just…” She hesitated, searching for an appropriate explanation. “They watch their movies and read their fairytales and try to apply that logic to this war. The s**t about balance…” For that split second, she sounded more like herself, less a Princess, more a tired young woman as lost and confused as the rest of them.

Ganymede took a breath, let it out, got her thoughts back in order. “Metallia—... Chaos doesn’t care about balance, and so balance can never be achieved while that power exists. You can’t equate Chaos with evil. Evil will always exist, with or without Chaos as we know it, but Chaos itself… that’s a power that can and should be neutralized.”

Somehow. The question was always how. Ganymede did not know that an alien weapon was the answer. Chances were, it wouldn’t work. It seemed far too simple.

But they would discuss that with Caedus and Lyndin later. Tomorrow, if that was Lyndin’s request.

There were more people around than Ganymede noted when they first arrived, talking to Valhalla, or lingering on the periphery.

Ganymede turned to the Knight of Saturn (Asphodel) who had approached to speak to her husband. “I’m sorry. These meetings always devolve into…” Suddenly it seemed wrong to say “chaos,” so she settled with, “... madness. It’s nice to meet you.

“And you,” she called to the Page nearby who wore her symbol (Tikal). “You’re a Page of Ganymede. There seem to be a few of you here tonight. This is Agrippa, and Folkvangr. Venice is just over there.”

Empyrean, Page of Jupiter

“I think our alien friends seem relatively self-sufficient and probably won’t require lodgings,” Empyrean answered his wife.

She was kind and fair and welcoming to all, but in doing so she could occasionally be a bit too enthusiastic.

Not that Empyrean was complaining. He’d only ever benefited from it. He simply thought it best to caution her every once in a while, so she wouldn’t over extend herself.

As for the lasagna…

“Who doesn’t like lasagna?” he asked.

Some people, he was sure. He was also sure they’d change their minds if they only tasted his wife’s.

Empyrean was quite biased in that respect.

He kept a careful watch on Oberon before, during, and after his energy donating demonstration. Oberon was an adult and could therefore do as he wished without looking to his parents for guidance or permission, but Oberon, much like his mother, could fall victim to his own enthusiasm. Empyrean could only worry, even if he also trusted his youngest son.

“All that time in the Boy Scouts was clearly a good idea.”

Caedus looked at Scylla apologetically and, unable to completely shake his ‘kicked-puppy’ demeanor, he smiled. It didn’t reach his eyes, but he was trying. “I am sorry, Scylla. You are not wrong, I know this. I am tired and cranky. It is unbecoming, I know. I trust you. I have faith in Earth. I cannot imagine doing anything to threaten it.” One hand rose to his chest and he confessed, “I did not realize those thoughts could make my heart hurt.

Lyndin might have said something to respond, but another flash of light from behind the barrier once more drew his attention, and it seemed that he could delay for no longer. “You must forgive me,” he said apologetically. “I wish I could stay and talk more, but I have a long list of tasks to complete. We’ve had a long flight and I might be able to push myself, but I won’t ask them too. I’ll touch base with the rest of the Vanguard, but when we’ve secured everything and have a functioning base, we’ll be more available. I ask that if you take issue with our mission you bring it up with me. I will do everything in my power to see this mission succeed. I know you want to keep your people safe, and know that I feel the same for mine. I will not respond well to threats or harm to any of them. They are here because Caedus asked for our help. They did not come here to be abused or harassed, they came because their hope is yours: a safe world. I hope we can get along and become strong allies.

He smiled then, something radiant and warm.

You give me hope that one day we’ll be reunited with our world. That we’ll be able to rekindle the sparks of life. For as long as we’re here, we’ll lie low. We’re not here to cause trouble or draw attention to ourselves. I hope you’ll give us a chance to prove ourselves. I think we could be good for each other. Caedus,” he said, and nodded to the dome like he thought they should return together.

Caedus returned the smile but stayed put. “I would like to stay out for a bit longer, please.

Doubt briefly crossed Lyndin’s face, but if he had any protests about the idea he kept them to himself. “If you need anything, we’ll be right inside.

I know, thank you. But I trust them.

Once more, Lyndin nodded; he bowed his head just slightly to the crowd respectfully. “I am sure I will see many of you soon. I look forward to it. Have a good night,” he said, and within three steps he had disappeared into the dome.

Caedus watched his retreating form; it wasn’t until after Lyndin was out of sight that he turned back to the group; his eyes settled on Myrrha only briefly as she looked at the shield, but he did not seem to think anything of her closeness to it.

Despite his nervousness, he still looked hopeful. “I am sorry,” he began. “I know this is a lot. I do not blame you for the questions. I know this is a dramatic thing to request. I did not think we should try to do it without your knowledge. I do not mean to offend or upset anyone. I know this is your world. We do just want to help. And I am appreciative that you have all come to listen. Thank you. For everything.

Eternal Puck, Senshi of the Woods

Puck laughed. "Nah, it's just I haven't seen you powered up in forever," he smiled in response. It was true: seeing his housemate and friend powered up as Eros for the first time since his return from London was a rare treat indeed. "And you gotta mind that curiosity, love, it'll get you every time." He tossed her a teasing wink.

"I'm... actually kind of game to support him and his mates, you know? I think it might work this time. I mean, it almost worked last time..." His expression grew thoughtful. "There's more of 'em this time, and they seem better organized. Caedus said all it takes for us to help is sacrificing a little bit of extra energy -- not even all the energy we have, just the excess. Not like the Negas." Out of the corner of his eye Puck saw first one, then another go up and accept a crystal from the alien. Seemed others were game to try it, too.

"I might just do it, Eros, I might just..."

With that, Puck squeezed Eros's hand and headed back up the hill to face Caedus. "I don't want any harm to come to the people of Earth," he said, face set in a grim, determined scowl. "That's all I ask. I'll give you some of my energy freely. What do I have to do?"

Sava looked relieved when Ein arrived and it took all of her willpower not to take the Page’s hand into her own but instead she gave a small wave and nodded. “They’re talking about how they might be able to destroy the Negaverse once and for all...by taking some energy? To...take more energy from a comet...but it might spare the people who are under Metallia, but that’s just a might…”

She swallowed and shrugged, trying to act like it didn’t bother her. Like it didn’t matter, but. It still all made her kind of sick to the stomach. The idea of people who were her friends. Who she cared about so deeply being simply snuffed out…

“If I could know for sure that it would just be the chaos leaving them, I’d be all for this...but...I don’t know. Maybe I’ll have some words for these two at some point. I’m not...feeling like the mob here.” She gestured slightly, shrugging again. “I don’t want to either praise them or damn them right out of the gate but…” Sava swallowed and ran her hand through her hair, glancing over to Ein and giving a small smile. “...I’m glad you’re here. I’m glad I have someone to talk to about this. Thank you for coming…”

By the time they had found the spot that they were being tugged for, Keiko was tired and a little annoyed...but by the time they got in, by the time her brain had acclimated to the sheer number of Senshi and Knights that were there, she felt a little overwhelmed.

And the blue people. The aliens...that...that didn’t even bear thinking about.

There was simply too much to take in, and Keiko didn’t even know where to begin to dissect it. The idea of forcibly ejecting the chaos out of the Negaverse...that...would make her relationship with Lilith so much easier, wouldn’t it? She could do that. They could do that...it would mean that they could visit each other’s wonders...oh.

The idea made Keiko bite her lip to stop the smile that she wanted from forming. Lilith’s homeworld would be beautiful, she was sure.

She hadn’t noticed Belmont’s words for a moment, so lost in her dumb daydreams, and gave a small start, giving him a sheepish smile. “Nope! And I had no idea that there were aliens. I...this is all kind of insane, and I’m almost wondering if you and I didn’t get hit by a rampaging bear or something and we’re both having a shared last delusion as we bleed out in the park.”

It was Destiny City. Who said that it couldn’t happen?

Super Sailor Athalia

"You gained the right to 'summon' me." He hadn't missed a beat, replying immediately after her teasing remark. He was well aware that she hadn't meant any harm by it, but it was still a particularly sore spot for the man who preferred to be in control of his own faculties. Her remarks regarding an illusion though did make him cast some slight side-eye in her general direction though, after all he had lived in a false world filled to the brim for a while. It may not have been an entire life time but it had been enough to leave a lasting impression.

"I would however appreciate if it was sooner rather than later, if you don't mind," he admitted and shook his head. "I have been putting it off for a while now and it really isn't doing me any favours," he conceded. He did at least tilt his head towards Caedus and Lyndin again though, still affording them some level of respect in the sense that he was listening to elements of their conversation even if he wasn't on board with it.

What they had to say was hardly interesting to him at this point.

...How his companion reacted though, well that was a different story.

He peered down at the position she had taken and the grip she had placed on his arm with a grimace. She had a more vested interest in elements of this than he did. She had more questions than him and it seemed that the history she shared with one of these aliens and perhaps even her own peers meant that in terms of priorities this was something that really needed to be dealt with first. He would have liked to be entirely selfish, but he also had a weakness for allowing this particular senshi to meet her own needs first.

He sighed softly.

"Why not just ask them now," he suggested, though one of them had already slipped behind that shimmering curtain again. "Or set up an appointment to see them given that one has wandered off," he added. He knew she could see auras, but he wasn't aware that she couldn't see Caedus or Lyndin due to the fact they lacked them. "Acquire the most suitable time for you," he added with a small cluck of his tongue.

"If you know of this one then you are entitled to answers, particularly given you have prior experience, no?"

He could wait, he'd waited this long already, it wouldn't kill him to wait another day or two. For now though, he opted to slip outside of the veil himself and wait for Metis a short distance away from where others had gathered. It was safe to say that he had heard enough for now, even if Metis desired to know more.

Asphodel Knight of Saturn

“And here I thought the Negaverse meetings were bad,” Asphodel quipped at Ganymede with the barest hint of a smirk. Since the space had become bombarded by discussions on top of discussions, it was a relief to know he wasn’t the only one in the room who was barely following what was going on. He didn’t even have the mental energy to be properly shocked at meeting a senshi princess for the first time — not to mention said princess had done well at not making a huge deal out of it.

Consider his opinion of senshi improved.

It was difficult to absorb everything, but he found himself cautiously in favor of the plan in spite of all the issues. “If your own people are volunteering their energy, that changes things,” he admitted to Caedus. “Sounds like we have different experiences with this type of magic. We’re used to it being violent, but to you it’s normal?”

At the same time, he still was unable to believe a mass-scale forced purification would be consequence-free. HIs wisp popped out of his sleeve and nested in his hair, almost as if it could detect his worried thoughts.

Transcendent Eternal Encke, Senshi of Plasma

Encke nodded to Commodore Lyndin to acknowledge that he saw the look he gave in his direction. He was assuredly curious; believed them, entirely, that the world they spoke of was dead and the remnant had no chance of spawning something new, and if it did they would find something else, but that didn't stop his insatiable curiosity. He wanted to know more about the composition, more about the history of the world if they knew it -- perhaps just to reflect on what had to happen for them to perhaps finally get something powerful enough to strike at Metallia.

"I hope we'll be able to help each other," replied Encke, earnestly, before Lyndin excused himself.

"I'm with you," he offered, to Caedus, turning toward him. Maybe that was obvious by the fact he had stayed almost firmly planted where he was near Caedus the entire time. "And I am transcendent, so I have plenty of energy reserves-- I just think it's a lot for everyone to take in. We've never had a shot at Metallia. And we're so ... used to everything going wrong. A lot of us are used to energy-draining only being involuntary and violent, too," he nodded to the Saturnian Knight (Asphodel).

He offered a hopeful smile.

"Hey, now that you're here, I do have some people to introduce you to. And maybe a place to take you to." He rubbed his neck. "Not right now, obviously," though he had abandoned Viatrix and Basiluzzo somewhere in the crowd, he realized. That was a bit of a mistake-, "but soon?"

Belmont, Page of Jupiter

Belmont did his best to keep a straight face for the majority of the conversation, and while he knew some of these things insofar as they had been told to him and he thought he was sort of familiar with the words, most of it felt like he’d stepped into the wrong lecture hall and was hearing someone else’s lecture.

He didn’t know what was going on, honestly, and maybe he should have been ashamed that he was so detached from all of this. Everyone around him was asking questions, but that didn’t mean he knew that they were the right questions, or why they were so important.

He didn’t think he was stupid, but he felt incredibly out of place with all of this. Of course he wasn’t going to be eager to let someone install a weapon here on Earth, but…

He didn’t know what the best course of action was. He felt like little more than a bystander in all of this.

“Shared delusion feels about right,” he finally said, and shook his head.

“All this talk about things going wrong makes me feel like I need to go out and practice fighting, just in case. I mean, yeah. I want the Negaverse gone. I don’t want people pulling starseeds. What’s a little energy, you know? I give blood. But I had my starseed taken from me. I want to stop that from happening to anyone else. But if things go wrong...I want to be prepared.”

Keiko made a face at the last bit of information that he shared, looking concerned and almost a little frightened. “You had your starseed taken? That...how? Why?” God. That must not have been any sort of a pleasant experience...It must have hurt, at any rate. That was like losing your soul. Maybe it was a dementor or something...a scary thought in itself...but…

“No, I agree. I want them stopped too. My...I mean.” She hesitated, glancing around and then lowered her voice. “My girlfriend is a corrupt senshi...and it would be kind of amazing to save her from that...you know? Like...she’s not bad...not to me. But I’m trying to help her...I hope I can help her decide to want to get out...you know. Just in case this turns into an actual alien invasion instead of the blessing that they’re trying to pass it off as…”

A shiver ran through Keiko at the thought and she looked up at Belmont, her expression going more worried by the moment. “...Prepared like, learn to fight better? Because, I’m totally down for that...if you um. Want to leave here and head back to the park? We can...well. I can show you my magic at the very least. It’s not much but...I’m hoping that the more I use it the stronger it’ll become? I doubt that’s how it works but...you never know. I could be like...a senshi pokemon hybrid and not even know it, right?”

Unlikely, but another funny thought.

Regardless, Keiko grabbed Belmont’s hand and drew him back out of the shield. “Being in there was starting to give me the creeps...let’s go...have our own powwow and figure out what we can do...that doesn’t involve aliens.”
