Edge would climb as well, as fast as he could. The crowd would roar as they saw something risky coming up. Given the fact the ladder in the corner was about a foot taller than the ladder in the center of the ring, Edge would have a height advantage as he got to the top. He'd await for Abyss to turn his attention to him!

Deciding to take the risk, Edge would launch himself off of his ladder, trying to SPEAR Abyss off of the other ladder! The crowd was amazed as they knew they were about to witness a moment for the history books!

Abyss was taken off of the ladder he was on and takes a DANGEROUS fall to the canvas from the spear and is laid out.

Edge's risk would pay off as the crowd would give a HUGE pop for his extremely dangerous move that could've backfired had Abyss countered with another brass knuckle shot to the face! Nonetheless, Edge would remain on the mat, breathing heavily as it had taken a lot of energy for him to pull off his stunt.

Abyss was down as well, the brass knuckles having fell off his hand, and he was on his back.

Edge would slowly recover his bearings, albeit at a snail's pace. He'd slowly crawl towards the ladder. The crowd would chant "EDGE! EDGE! EDGE!" repeatedly as he had taken a huge risk for the crowd's entertainment. Edge would place his hands on the bottom rung and slowly work his way up.

Edge would finally reach the top after a slow climb up the ladder! Once at the top, Edge would attempt to reach for his title and unlatch it, probably ending this match once and for all!

Abyss would crawl to the opposite steps on the ladder, while Edge was still climbing. He pulls himself up and starts climbing after Edge opposite of him, catching up in time and throwing a couple punches at Edge's midsection to stop him from grabbing the title.

Edge's intentions to end this match were stopped by his opponent! He was punched and was unable to keep his arms up, being that he would favor his midsection!

Abyss climbs up another step so now he was at even height with Edge on top of the ladder, with the title within both men's reach.

Edge was surprised to see The Monster there! He realized he was too slow to pull it down! Edge and Abyss would start fighting at the top!
