With the devices, re-affixed a clearer picture came into view. His cases of blood loss had resulted in a form of anemic reaction. With the blood transfusion bag of which was removed prior returning to place, this would recover but the heart rate monitor would still show a slow beating. One of said medications was intent on restoring the boys other levels which had been thrown out of whack. Kagerou's kindness towards the boys dislike of being attached to all these 'life saving' machines was an honorable one but that did not deny that they were 'life saving' and in having removed them for her conversation had done more harm than good to Akito physically. Truth be told he'd have likely wracked his body again to remove them himself but one couldn't rest on the 'what would have happened' and needed to focus on what was happening now.
Akito faded in and out as Kagerou attempted to reach him, only signified by the partial peeling back of his eyes only to close again. Kagerou seemed to have backed herself into a corner. She pressed the emergency button, but no one came. The heart monitor was clear, his heart was failing. However, in the moment that Kageou would prep for what was to come and ready herself for treatment weighted with the additional 'don't screw up again pressure' on top the door opened. A boy. Green hair not unlike Kagerou's with a darker shade stepped up towards the bed and almost if immediately knew what was wrong. He said no words and with a single hand with fingers together 'stabbed' at the boys chest. Akito's chest would jump if just having been shocked with a Defibrillation. Kagerou hesitated to use her abilities because she was taught to pride traditional methods above ninja-magic, but this very well may have been the death of the boy with what little time he had. Ah, but Kagerou wouldn't know what little time he had exactly unlike this boy who had just entered the room.
His smile was not unlike Kagerou's and then as if on cue the heart monitor returned to reveal a normal heartbeat. Once he'd look at the boy and ascertain he was stable he'd return to rest the hand to his side. His eyes unlike hers were blue pools, calm, collected, not unlike Kagerou's own usually. Then, he spoke. His voice like a wisp that road a calm cooling air. "I came to see if our equipment had been damaged again seeing my indicators had stated they'd been removed. Are you the current tending medical professional? Please do not remove anything from the patient. Any damages caused to the equipment by medical personnel would make the hospital directly responsible and likely ruin its reputation, thus ruining the reputation of the Nikkyo Pharmaceutical Consortium." The calm aired man who seemed rather aloof if anything regarding the situation looked at the now unconscious sleeping Akito his gaze and face never shifting.
"This patient has caused a great deal of damages requiring several equipment replacements." he'd re-affix his blues on Kagerou slowly turning his head towards Kagerou. The way he looked at people. While calming in nature was also...detached. As though he didn't see people as individuals but rather saw all things as equally just as prevalent. The look he'd give a chair as an example would be the same he'd give a person. A look that disregarded social statuses. "Unfortunately said damages are not covered under the patient's medical insurances. Thusly payment for said equipment will need to be paid out of pocket. Seeing as you are the current presiding medical professional please do deliver this to the patients kin. Seeing as one is currently incarcerated I would recommend delivering to the other." The boy with his robotic expression and demeanor in a puff of smoke unseal a paper. Said paper was an unraveled scroll containing billing information. Indeed 'someone' had to pay for Akito's rampages. He'd deliver this scroll unto Kagerou where in if she read it after looking past the extreme amount of charges she'd see a new name. Akira Ken. A cousin? A nephew? No the last names were all the same. Of course Peroperosuke was on the scroll as well, clearly, the boys reference to the 'incarcerated' one. But what was the saddest of all was...these were the only names on the list."To my recollection said individual lives outside the village. In a settlement known as Kemonoten. That said, do refrain from further tampering of the equipment or you may be held personally responsible with this provided warning." he'd say politely nodding to Kagerou before what seemed like blinking for the first time. He'd then begin to calmly exit the room less he was stopped for whatever reason.

Defibs in hands, Kagerou was just ready to treat Akito... Then help arrived. She smiled, ready to thank him after Akito had stabilized, but he got the first words in.
Oh.

Akito had another relative?
Mood unfazed by the distantly smiling twin, Kagerou relayed her gratitude, "Thank you for your assistance. I hope the rest of your work goes well," as he left, but otherwise did nothing to keep the clearly busy man from his work.
She had no hard feelings about what how he "scolded" her (if his flat voice could be called that) for her rash decision. He was right.
The bill was more worrying for her, but alas, what could be done about this? He made sense. Business was business. Kagerou would need to find a good way to bring this up and ask more about Akito's past when he met this Akira Ken in the Kemono Village. This Akira Ken who shared the same surname, and was a relative that had not been ousted with Akito and his father. She wondered, perhaps, a grandfather? Or perhaps... was Akito's earlier outburst about "if I did have a dad" meant to be literal rather than a metaphorical refusal? Well, wondering now wouldn't change anything. Perhaps, she should open with the bill and then find an excuse to continue the conversation?
Kagerou looked over at the stable Akito. Right now, he needed his rest... So what she did was gently pick up one of his mittened hands and pull out a permanent marker. On his hand, she wrote a short message, "Don't die. Wait. I'll show you."
Then, on his other hand, she turned the mitten into a simple-looking sock puppet. He couldn't full open and close his hands with the bandages, but he could sort of move them, so he could shift the mouth of the "face" a little bit.
Then when she was done, Kagerou returned the permanent marker to where she found it and placed the medical bill nearby. She memorized the name and then... poofed away in a puff of smoke.
The original Kagerou gained the memories and knowledge of the clone. She would, however, await for the response of one of the two she spoke to before acting on the new information.

After a much needed pat on the head, Akoto would lean onto Kagerou and close her eyes. She had never really dealt with a patient content on seeing the end of his life with such tenacity. To be honest with herself, it scared her. The concept of accepting that one's life would end soon, be it by their own means or outside ones. Her eyes opened at the sight of another person stepping into the room. She watched as Kagerou was busy talking and interacting with all of the important people that she needed to do, being head doctor and all. Imagine her surprise when Kagerou invited her to tag along on a little trip outside of the village. "S-Sure. I'd...like that....My natures are Suiton and Doton, Kage-chan."

"I see," Kagerou mused aloud at Akoto's answer. She could have sworn something felt new about the girl, but perhaps she had been wrong all along. Mm, no use muddling through about it. Her tone taking a more chipper tune, Kagerou moved things along with a clap, "Alright, let's get moving. I have some final business to attend to. Akoto and Zai, go get yourselves ready and meet me at the village gates in about an hour and a half. Zai, I'd highly suggest getting a few techniques under your belt before coming along. We are, after all, leaving the safety of the village. Akoto, you're perfect, but get yourself washed up and find someplace to rest until it's time."
After giving these instructions, Kagerou, as she implied earlier, left to get her business over with. Her last words were a casual, "See you soon," as she breezed through the door.
There was official business to handle. She gave the medical report of Akito to the front desk, roping poor James into typing it out for her since the reception area was back to a leisurely pace. At the same time, she stated her intent to take Akito and Zai outside of the village with her.
James stared deadpan at Kagerou.
Kagerou smiled lightly at James.
In the end, Kagerou won... Well, at least she came back to Arashi and faced whatever punishment she might get for not going through the proper channels to take genin out of the village. Technically, though, her reasons weren't too far fetched. For Zai, medical reasons pertaining to his difficulty with handling crowds and sensitive ears handling the change in pressure badly. For both of the two, Kagerou wanted to take them down to a more ideal training location since Zai was a patient and Akoto was a former member of Kirigakure like her. Again, Zai had been recently suffered from the sudden atmospheric changes so somewhere on the ground may prove to be a better location for him to train. As for Akoto, she had stagnated at genin for this long, so it was likely she needed a change of pace to break through to her next level.
Following that, Kagerou popped into the emergency room to let her clone know that it was time to go. Said clone poofed into nothingness voluntarily.

Some time after finishing the song, the real Kagerou stepped into the break room, bells a-ringing upon her wrist. She gave Sonyo and her clone a light smile before waving her clone into nonexistence and gaining its memories. Filled with the new emotions and images, feelings of wanting to just give Sonyo a few days of good rest, Kagerou blinked and looked away. Ah... She felt guilty now, but still, it wasn't to the point that her smile disappeared.
"Sonyo... I'm sorry," Kagerou softly intoned, as if it had been the real one, and not the clone, that had been singing just before, "I'm glad I was impulsive, but still, I owe you an apology... I'm glad to see you're alright and just the same as ever, but really, I fear that I may have just dragged you into a new war zone... We will talk more later, about a lot of things. I especially want to hear about your dreams." A sappy line had just been given. However, what Kagerou really meant was that she wanted to hear about a specific dream of Sonyo's. The dream of a sanctuary. Now wasn't the time to go into those details, however, and Kagerou didn't pause before giving her next words, "However, right now, I need to go to my home in Water Country to make some preparations. You are welcome to come with me if you'd like. If... you do choose to stay, however, despite everything you may have to face here, I do have a personal request. A certain patient I have been evidently inadequate in treating."

Sonyo closed her eyes for a moment as the real Kagerou appeared through the doorway. She was quiet for a moment, taking the tea the other version of her friend had poured her and sipping at it. This was a moment to think, a moment to weigh her options. She wanted to get back to Uzu, to help them there but she couldn't walk away from this place either. Not without helping all that she could help here... even if she was possibly signing her own death sentence. She carefully held the warm cup in both hands, then opened her mouth to respond. "There's always another war..." The word slipped quietly out of her mouth, as if it was a secret, as if she didn't want to say it.
Sonyo took another sip before placing the cup down and standing-- her hair fell in to her face and she annoyed-ly pushed the locks away. "Regardless, you know I'm always ready to help." Crossing her arms and gripping them, Sonyo moved back over to Kagerou. She forced a smile on to her face, taking a deep breath. "Tell me about this patient, my friend. It must be one hell of a case if you couldn't crack it."

__Awakening again with a start Nohea looked around only to find that Belamos hadn't yet arrived. Frowning the little girl threw off her blanket to make her grand escape. If he wasn't going to come to her than she would just have to find him again damn it. Trying to shurk his duties and I thought he was supposed to be the adult.
A flash of light burst from the entrance to the hospital as Belamos seemingly appeared out of thin air. He pulled his coat on as he walked through the sliding glass door and into the hospital's atrium. When he requested to speak with the most senior medical shinobi he was led back through the well-lit hallways into the medical staff's break room. He was gestured inside and nodded to the nurse in thanks as he proceeded in. He found two women, one seemingly deep in thought and the other reclining in a seat. The standing woman was breathtakingly beautiful but had rather sad eyes while the other was quite thin and had deep green hair. She also seemed quite nervous- as if she were tense and ready to break.
Belamos nodded to the two women, trying to keep a professional but friendly demeanor. His eyes flitted between the two but lingered for longer on the dark-haired woman before he spoke "I apologize for the intrusion- I'm looking for a medical shinobi of high skill" Just then a piercing mental howl tore through Belamos's psyche with such intensity that he flinched in real life. Son Goku roared internally and beat his chest, a clear sign of agitation. It was as if the demon was scaring off an opponent. "Shukaku! That maniac is here! Look out Belamos, he is crazy, even by our standards!" Inwardly, Belamos processed the mental images flooding his mind from his partner and developing a strategy to defeat this monster. Outwardly, he did little more but smile and wait for a response.
[For the record: 1.5 antnadoes, 7.5k normal green ants total, sealed in a scroll. 63 green giant ants sealed in Kagerou's chakra.]
Kagerou could only nod in understanding, to everything Sonyo said. There might be no time, but still, Kagerou wanted to speak with Sonyo as a friend for even just a little longer. From her pocket dimension of a chakra manifestation, the green haired woman carefully selected a silver hair pin that she though would most suit Sonyo. She offered this gift with the words, "When all this is over, Sonyo, please find me again, and if you ever find yourself trouble, don't hesitate to summon me, or summon yourself to me. I cannot guarantee I will be in a safe place, but I will at least take responsibility for bringing you into our fight." The hair pin held out from one friend to another may never hold a candle to the beautiful piece that once adorned Sonyo's hair, but for now, it would at least keep her hair out of her face.
She paused, disappointed in herself that this was all she could say. Sonyo needed peace and time to recover right now. In the end, Kagerou could only burden her further. The child raised for the battlefield naturally didn't know how to simply ignore the call of military duty when it came.
When she spoke again, it was to answer Sonyo's question about the patient. She would, through the course of their following conversation, reveal everything Sonyo would like to ask about Akito.
Akito Ken, a Kemono Shinzo from a village that prided themselves in their race and found hybrids to be "filthy." Akito, with his defined human features, was labeled a "Mimistake." Something that shouldn't have been born. He was bullied and nearly killed by people from his own hometown. He escaped with, as Kagerou understood it, his parents. His mother died along the way. His father was jailed for killing pursuers from his village who came all the way out to Arashi to find and attack Akito. Why they were so against letting him leave, Kagerou admitted that she had yet to learn.
It was fairly obvious Akito blamed himself for everything, at least Kagerou thought. Showing no defined hatred of those who did him ill, and yet clearly not a saint. She suspected his willingness to die came from a low self esteem fostered by a lifetime of bullying and his desire to die came from exhaustion with the only way life he knew as well as a loss of hope.
He was incredibly adamant about dying, threatening to harm even the hospital staff. He would repeatedly pull out and throw around the various life support devices hooked up to him, and they were necessary life support devices. He had hurt himself far too much, driving his body into a weakened state.
Kagerou admitted that she struggled to form a connection with Akito. However, she didn't dwell on her own shortcomings for more than a sentence, maybe two.
She moved on to the many mysteries surrounding Akito. Peroperosuke was the incarcerated "father," Kagerou knew of. However, another name, "Akira Ken" had come up. Kagerou didn't know the connection between Akito and Akira. However, Akira Ken evidently still lived in Kemonoten, and Kagerou mentioned that while she was sure Peropero was Akito's father, she couldn't help but shake off their feeling that their relationship was more complicated than that.
At the end of it all, Kagerou could only give a single-syllable laugh and, half in jest, half seriously, say, "At this point, I'm wondering if I should start studying law on top of medicine. A lawyer-doctor. That'll certainly shoot up my marriageability rating, at least?". Jokes aside, she could only shake her head, a rare frown creasing her brows. Akito would be in capable hands with Sonyo. Of course, Kagerou still didn't enjoy leaving her patient at such a critical moment. What she wanted to do was go to Kemonoten and learn more about Akito. Instead, however, she had her responsibilities. To abandon them would be abandoning those she needed to protect.
She had only just finished giving her report when a stranger suddenly entered. She watched him flinch. Ah, no. Not a stranger. Though, Kagerou could hardly say she really knew him. The man, famous as Otogakure's God-King. To Kagerou, she considered him more the husband of a woman she once held in great respect.
She met his smile with, of course, her own smile and gave a polite nod as she stood up. "Lord Belamos," she spoke properly in a respectful voice. Tsuki had been her friend while still alive. She wouldn't try to take advantage of that relationship with her late friend's husband, however. As propriety dictated, she gave him precedence, and answered his question first, "My companion here is a skilled medic who will be able to assist you. I summoned her here just now, so I hope you will be able to put in a good word for her once you see her skill."
Words carefully chosen behind the relaxed visage. Avoiding Sonyo's name to allow herself to take a new one if she saw fit. Recommending her to an important figure so she could quickly assimilate into the village, lest she get mistaken as an enemy and hurt in the cross-fire.
Kagerou turned to Sonyo and, more freely but with no visible difference in demeanor or voice, introduced Belamos. "Sonyo, this is Lord Belamos, originally from Otogakure, now one of the leaders of Arashigakure. He is the late Lady Tsuki's husband. Tsuki was a medical kunoichi of great skill. She is, while she lived and even now, a woman I greatly admire and respect."
She turned back around to face Belamos. Earlier, what was that flinch? She could sense some sort of strain in the air… Her? Or Sonyo?... Well… If it was her, then she would be leaving now. Right now, actually, as she gave her excuses, "Unfortunately, I have prior engagements I need to attend to now, so if you will please excuse me…" and bid farewell. If it was Sonyo, then such matters would be handled far better in her capable hands. A "victim" of it herself, Kagerou knew and trusted well the power of that gentle charisma Sonyo. People were always inevitably attracted to her.

You are allowed to have a mirrored amount of your total ninjutsu slots exclusively for sensory. In addition, you are able to discover things such as demon chakra, or the type of technique that is about to be active (Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, etc.), even specifics such as Bloodline type and rank from any active sensory technique. This discipline allows the user to be able to sense their enemy’s ninjutsu attacks and their composition, which grants a -1 rank deduction to dodging with the dodge mechanic X-ranked skill so long as it was used within the range of the user’s sensory abilities. • Kiritani Heritage - The Kiritani, the maternal side of Kagerou's family, have a long tradition of serving Kirigakure from the shadows and high standards to match. Being able to cast techniques without hand signs is what they consider the bare minimum, and they expect no less from Kagerou despite her Uchiha surname. Kagerou can replace hand signs/seals with equivalent gestures and motion from the wrists or fingers of one hand. • Hippocratic Oath - Whatever it takes from her, Kagerou is determined to save every life she can, more so than taking any. When a healing eiseijutsu is used, a single healing or situational eiseijutsu of lower rank can be supplemented onto it for no extra cost in chakra or activation. This includes augment techniques. • Nightmare Veteran - There's really no place like home. Even genjutsu struggles to match hellish nightmare created from the mind of an exhausted Jack, and this experience, along with several others, has left the already naturally calm Kagerou even better suited to remain composed in the face of any pressure. She is adept at seeing through genjutsu, and even when she can't (or if the horror turns out to not be genjutsu at all), she's still incredibly difficult to ruffle to the point that once Kagerou recognizes the genjutsu, it loses much of its potency. A recognized genjutsu of lower rank than Kagerou cannot inflict real injuries on Kagerou, and while her physical body within the genjutsu is still affected as normal--being pushed, pulled, bound, or what have you--emotional and other strictly mental sensations have no hold on her. • Inkapocalypse - You thought this was a pun on Inka, but it was me! Dio! Bad jokes aside, the PA really isn't about Inka. Dissatisfied by her cluelessness during the Sero pod event, Kagerou spent days researching sealing, and through sheer repetition, it's become easier for her to use seals. The jinchuriki listened to kagerou, nodding every once in a while to let her know that she was still listening despite not speaking any words. She was quiet, focused, taking in all the details she could. Akito was the patient's name, an outcasted member of a clan who had suicidal tendencies and a whole mess of other mental issues to boot, not to mention any physical injuries he might have. Sonyo twirled her new, beautiful, pin in her hands as she thought. The woman could understand why her friend was having issues connecting to this patient; understanding was a huge part of helping people, at least in her book. Kagerou was sound of mind, she had always been. She didn't know how it felt to not want to live, to be so tired you didn't want to keep going-- but she did. Maybe she could help.
Undoing a lifetime's worth of damage wouldn't be easily done in a few days, she would most likely have to come back several times or leave a clone in order to help with the recovery of this patient. Already she was ticking off in her mind the types of eiseijutsu she could use, or which medicines would be the most effective. Using medical jutsu would allow her to heal his body to allow his mind time to heal, but might be overall rejected by the patient. He would need to be sedated during this portion, while she undid any damage done by the stress or even himself. Then long term antidepressant medication might be better than constantly healing his body, along with counseling... and although she wasn't the most stable person on the planet, but maybe he just needed someone who could understand.
The voices started whispering in her head, even before Shukaku stirred at the presence of one of his siblings approaching. Sonyo tensed, suddenly on edge, probably an expression that Kagerou might have never seen from her. She was glad her friend wasn't paying attention, because when the presence made it's way through the door, it was a face that Kagerou recognized. His name was Belamos, and she recognized the name. What might have been registered as aggression by anyone who didn't know her slowly faded from her system as she relaxed-- this man was a friend and not an enemy. At least not for now. Sonyo let out a soft sigh, closing her eyes for a moment as Kagerou recommended her to the tall male and left.
Forcing a smile on to her face, Sonyo moved over to Belamos and gave the other jinchuriki a deep and respectful bow, and she was glad when the new pin stopped her hair from messily falling in to her face. "Belamos, I know that name. I've heard it on the tongues of refugees everywhere." She straightened up, clasping her hands in front of her. "I have to thank you for what you did for my old home, I was once a resident of Otogakure myself. You did was I was too weak and cowardly to do, and you saved many lives. I only wish I had been able to help and not distracted by losing my late husband. Many months were spent grieving when... I could have been doing many other, more productive, things."
Sonyo caught herself, always oversharing. She looked down, letting out a soft hum of disapproval at herself. She needed to get better, always better... Hazel eyes darted back up at Belamos, making eye contact. "I'm a good friend of Kagerou's, and almost equal in her medical prowess. How can I help you?" A soft smile worked it's way on to her face, but her hands were gripped tight, almost white knuckled. She could feel the tension in the air, and she could tell by looking at this man that he was much stronger than her. She used to think of the Jinchuriki as a family, Nari had taught her such, but recent events had broken that fragile illusion. Any one of them could attack her at any moment-- she carried shukaku in her after all, one of the most hated among the bijuu.
She was absolutely screwed if Belamos was a foe and not a friend.

Belamos stood as Kagerou spoke and introduced him to the other woman, his hands placed at the small of his back as he nodded in reply to her praise "My wife spoke fondly of you, my lady. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." As Kagerou informed him of her unavailability, introduced him to Sonyo and then begged his pardon, Belamos nodded and quickly stepped to the side "Of course. Good-day, ma'am" Once she left, Belamos was left to contend with Sonyo alone. He let her speak first, remaining passive and silent as she introduced herself yet again and informed him that she had been a member of Otogakure once before. It was then that her name struck a chord within his memory. Horace had once ordered him to track and kill a number of, as he put it, 'defectors' and her name had been one of the one's on the top of his list. Looking upon her now, though, he was quite glad he had never found her in such a way.
The normally composed but distant shinobi found himself oddly disarmed by this woman. He suspected it was here eyes; they were kind and yet belonged to someone who had known true loss. One who, like himself, had been undeservedly given love only to have it taken away in the most cruel of fashions. And, based on her speech, she also blamed herself. He reached out and lay a hand on her shoulder as she rose from her bow. While, normally, the move might seem rather forward in this moment he felt is was perfectly acceptable. Looking into her eyes, trying his best to convey his similarity of mind, he spoke "Lady Sonyo, we all have our own races to run with our own hurdles to leap. You were, and are, exactly where you were always meant to be."The loss of a loved one...it is not something that can be explained and so Belamos did not elaborate nor try to placate the woman's continued grief. He did not reassure her that everything would be alright, for normal was gone. All they could do was to try to manage. Just get back. No, normalcy was long gone for people such as them. Thankfully, Belamos still had Aurelia- the point of light that kept him in the Sun while the darkness grew ever closer.
Retracting his hand, Belamos drew his lips into a thin line and nodded to Sonyo before gesturing to her to take a seat before taking one himself "Madam, I don't presume to know your allegiances or background but as of now I do not rightly care to be frank. An enemy is approaching, one that goes by the name Kogarashi. Are you aware of them?"

The eyes that stared in to hers and the hand that laid on her shoulder held nothing but sympathy for the loss of her husband, and whatever tension was left in her body melted away like ice in a desert. Her eyebrows drew together as Belamos spoke, she could hear the hurt in his voice... he had lost someone too, someone important, someone who meant the world to him. That kind of pain was never easy to get over, the past couple of years had taught her that. The old god-king made his way to a seat and sat down, gesturing for her to do the same. Sonyo seemed to stop for a second and think before she made her way to her chair and sat as well. The jinchuriki's lips became a fine line when he mentioned Kogarashi.
"Yes, I recently had a run in with them in Uzushiogakure. I was there as a guest for Lady Chie before..." She trailed off for a second, looking down at her hands, once again fiddling with her hands as if they were a puzzle that could distract her from her failures. "I helped the people there fight against one of their leaders, before helping them evacuate the village. I've become familiar with their tactics at least some what. It makes sense that they would be coming here." Sonyo's jaw set as anger slowly slipped in to her veins, warming the icy feeling often there. She hadn't felt anger like this in some time, not since she had gotten a handle on the bijuu inside her.
"They aim to destroy the shinobi villages, after all. I would assume I'm in Arashigakure then? My friend failed to brief me on exactly where she summoned me, I'm afraid." She couldn't blame Kagerou after all, there were more pressing matters after all... like an incoming war. Sonyo finally stopped messing with her hands, looking back up at Belamos. "I'm sure your village has more than enough healers for the coming battle, but that's not why you're here, is it Belamos?" The anger had faded now, and the hazel eyes staring at the male were steady-- ready for whatever he was to ask of her.

He could feel the anger radiating from her- she indeed knew of Kogarashi for their mere name to illicit such a strong reaction. He crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back in his chair, watching Sonyo carefully as she detailed the account of her past experience with them all well as elaborated on the light in which she saw the rogue group. The fact that the woman did not seem to know where she caused him to raise a singular eyebrow in surprise, but when the woman seemed content with the fate of dwelling in the soon-to-be-attacked city he relaxed somewhat.
When she finished speaking Belamos inhaled deeply and gave her a lengthy, considering gaze before finally speaking "I was in the Whirlpool Village that day- I had come to warn Chie about the coming attack hours before it was to arrive. Unfortunately, she disregarded my words and jailed me. I fought their leader, Sandayu, alongside Lady Kya. I-...I saw her die in front of me" Leaning forward in his seat and towards Sonyo, it was Belamos's turn to look down in shame "I owe you an apology. I should have stayed to help, but my daughter was in danger. She tried to help me and it nearly cost her her life. I just" He took another deep, but shaky, breath "She's all I have left"
Looking back up, he met her gaze once more as she questioned the reason I she was here. As she said his name, a slight grin was brought to the corner of his lips "It was" As he spoke the world around them seemed to turn a deep, all-encompassing, black. The only things that remained were each other, their chairs and the table that sat between them. Belamos remained calm as the nothingness was replaced with a new backdrop. Instead of the quaint hospital break room they were previously in, the pair now sat on a flat expense of rock. On one side of the plateau a cliff rose up to reveal an erupting Volcano. The mass sent plumes of smoke and lava into the air- blackening the sky and causing fireballs to fall in the area around them like so many shooting stars. Rivers of lava wound down the side of the mountain, snaking around the flat area they sat upon. If Sonyo were to turn around she would see a desolate landscape, charred and burnt as far as the eye can see.
And, peering down at the woman from over Belamos's shoulder was large red-furred money. He blinked once and lowered himself down into a cross-legged position as Belamos spoke "I'm sorry to take you to such an...unbecoming place, but he prefers it" He said gesturing over shoulder to the beast "This is Son Goku, the bijuu sealed within me. He tells me you bare one as well, the Ichibi, Shukaku" Belamos stood up and stepped to the side, making a sweeping gesture with his hand. As he did, seven other figures as well as miniature representations of their Bijuu appeared. The other Jinchuriki stared at the two. Some of them, like Kagami and Masato, Sonyo would recognize. Some, like Nohea and Toso, she might not. "I have met every other Jinchuriki at some point in my life. Hopefully, when this all calms down, I would like to see the demon's reunited one day" With a dismissive gesture they vanished as quickly as they appeared, with the exception of Sandayu and Kagami.
"These two are on their way here to attack. I originally came here hoping to find someone to treat the injured that comes off the front lines, an experienced combat medic. But. if you are willing Lady Sonyo, I would like you to join me in this battle. Sonyo flinched at the mentioning of Belamos' daughter, closing her eyes and trying to will away the thoughts of Taylor that rose up in her mind. He was gone, she hadn't seen him nor had anyone in Uzu since the attack. Chances were that he was dead, and she failed him again. Thin fingers gripped at her red hakama in her lap as she fought back tears, and her voice wavered when she spoke. "I... understand. I would do the same for my son, given the chance..." Her voice was lowered, hushed, ashamed. She couldn't bring herself to bring up details about it. However, her sorrow was short lived as Belamos began to speak again and the room around her was first swallowed up by an endless darkness, then morphed in to a place she did not recognize.
The young woman looked up, scorching wind whipping her hair over her shoulders as she stared bravely up at Son Goku. She had met only a few of the other tailed beasts, and they all seemed to have their own quirks. This was not the time to mourn, she would have that chance later when everyone was safe. She would mourn Taylor, and Kya, and Chie, and everyone else. She took a deep breath, it burned her lungs with ash and heat bringing back memories of the apocalyptic-like scene escaping Uzushio. Once again she was being called to the battlefield, and though she was so soul deep tired, she couldn't refuse. Not after failing Suna, not after failing Uzu.
