Caught by surprise was an understatement. He didn't expect Feng to turn on him so suddenly. Nor did he expect to fall to the ground. Their leaders methods were...erratic. She was harsh but made her point. At least she had the decency to instruct whilst not being pursued. At least for now it seemed they weren't being pursued. Her eyes would meet with his, and despite her assault she'd find no fear in it. Perhaps it was his faunus instincts, his eyes narrowing, into the snake of which it represented as he saw the girl as not a being but a blob of heat. He'd stand once more to dust himself off. Despite her brazen methods there was wisdom behind it, wisdom that implied the girl did different than him when and his master and himself came to Vale. Suffice to say the way she spoke produced a pique of interest. As he would address the elephant in the forest. "From the way you speak. you're not indigenous to Vale are you lady Feng? Of that I can relate. Though the master prohibits me speaking from of from whence we came. Though might I inquire where you hail from as we toil?" The way Jentel said the following was somewhat shady and suspicious. Likely making Daenerys question all the more about him and his alleged master. True his master cared about Jentel, but WHO, was he, and WHAT, was he doing in Vale. He certainly was the shady type if anything based on the few calls and texts alone.

Jentel had long begun fashioning a sling with some left over elastic-bandage from his survivalist hand bag, and a y-bar shaped piece of wood. Multi-tasking. He'd produced a short but functional lasso with the remainder of the vine he was fashioning earlier. If he could get it around a neck it would suffice. "I know of fashioning archaic traps and weaponry myself from those travels, but our preferred method of survival was always to avoid conflict." He sighed as he removed something else from his bag. A three flints. Before he began looking out to the distance hearing what sounded like animals. "We'd best be careful I know little of the others. Although I caught a very slight wind one may have a semblance for nature. That's purely assumption. But if so, we're already at a disadvantage." He'd approach Feng who was readying her weapons. "I only have one steel starter, but I've plenty flint. We may find more simply within the forest. We can create small fires to attract attention when ready, or misdirect the other teams into traps. Ah, but lest avoid being to careless with flames." He'd look to Daenerys giving her a nod. If that DID happen for any reason. "I think it strategic if we all posses one." After handing them out Jentel would return to work. Procuring a sharp headed rock he'd begin fashioning three wooden javelins, though they were far from perfect as they were made hastily. But he did not stop here. He was a craftsman and what he intended to do next was spend the rest of the time, carving smaller pieces of wood...although these smaller pieces of wood...they would crudely take on the appearance of the instructors teeth. True they were crude and made of wood but in the heat of pursuit and battle...where one lacked in strength, they had to compensate for in intelligence. For now the fruits of his labor would yield, one crude lasso, three wooden javelins, a makeshift slingshot, a collection of hard seed for ammunition, and four faux teeth.

Ora would turn to Zed. Everyone seemed to be dispersing. That was fine, the prey she wanted wouldn't hide for long. Ora knew this forest, and Ora's true weapon that she had was not able to be removed. In fact, she was stronger outside of her armor then she was in it. However, the first thing was to straighten Zed out. She would walk over to him, and reach for his shirt. However, if he didn't let Ora grab his shirt, that would be fine, if he did, Ora would bring them down to eye level, which wasn't too far, as Ora was only an inch shorter than him. "Zed, if you are going to spout that kind of bullshit, quit now. You are going to be a hunter, everyone around you, including yourself is going to die a horrific death. There is no and if or butts about it, one day, you and the people that you work with are going to mess up, and end up losing either a limb or their life. Then what are you going to do?" If Ora had his shirt, she would let go of it at this point.

Ora knew her words were going to hurt Lena, however, they both needed to hear it. "Now, if you want to survive, we should find a stream, and some mud. Covering ourselves in it will stop faunus with smelling abilities to distinguish our scents." She would walk towards the forest. Sure the teacher was no longer there, but Ora was dressed to fight now, and she was ready to do it. She had prey in mind.

She would look back at her team. "Also, we are hunting team HARE. I call dibs on the horned one." She knew that Zed didn't know the name of the one with horns, so she pretended that she didn't know his name. She was going to butt horns with him, like true horned creatures that they were.

Henryk thought on Chloris' requirements for an area. He had seen no such things on his way here, and given how he felt about the forest in general on his way here he was not eager to go back that way. He would merely give Chloris a nod of acknowledgement at that, hoping they would find one along the way. Though he wanted to talk more with his new teammates, he understood it was probably best to wait till they had a safe area to do so. Thinking on what Remus had said, Henryk casually put his arms behind his head and scratched the back of his neck. As he did so, the tooth would slip from his fingers into the back of his shirt, tumble down into his pants as he would adjust the belt a little, and then fall into his boot since his pant legs were tucked into it. It was a handy little sleight of hand trick he learned when he needed to hide something small, it had served him well in the past and he hoped in the future. It helped his clothes were baggy, so the tooth could probably not even be seen as it fell and traveled through his clothing. 'And no one has caught me yet.' He thought to himself happily.

It was then that they set off, him having allowed Remus to take the lead. Perhaps Henryk should have taken point, he was team leader after all. But, with how creepy the forest felt and how he was pretty bad at traversing it, coupled with the fact that Remus was fairly good at it, it seemed the better choice. 'Plus this way if I freak out, they won't see it.' He thought to himself. Though he was given team leader for it, he felt no need to be assertive on it. After all, they were a team. 'Everyone deserves a voice and whoever is the most qualified should take over.' He thought to himself. He didn't mind sharing the role as things happened honestly. 'So long as I get to add a bit of style to everything.' He thought to himself with a smile. As they traveled, he noticed a blue mist forming and continued following Remus even as he began to get a little hesitant. He was curious and slightly worried about it, wondering if the forest was deciding to finally finish off the job and kill him when he suddenly saw a bunch of rabbits and bird run/fly off. He stared in wonder for a moment, seeing them as similar to the one given to Ella. 'This is so cool!' He thought to himself excitedly. He wished he had a semblance like that. And then, something he didn't see before, two wolves appeared to guard them. "You have such an amazing semblance Remus!" Henryk couldn't help but blurt out. Being able to make animals like that out of thin air to help was so cool. He didn't know how close to the actual animals they were, but assumed they would not be hostile as he tentatively pet the wolf beside him before continuing on their path. The wolves disappeared at one point and began to bring sticks oddly enough to Remus. He wondered why they were doing this, but as he spoke of finding it he suddenly took off. Confused, he ran after him.

The run was a lot longer than he thought it would be. At some point along it, even though the path was clear and easy to run, Henryk began to add some acrobatics into the run. Swinging off trees and bouncing off them while keeping up with the others until they came up to a wall of brush and thorns. As Remus began, speaking of Chloris clearing the path a little and making weapons, Henryk had an idea of own. While her using her semblance would help the others get through...Henryk was sure he could do so himself. With a smile, he would speak. "Last one inside has to give the cat a bath!" He said cheerily and a small laugh before he would quickly, and looking rather easily, begin climbing up nearby trees to the thorns before moving into the area Remus wanted to go into. Working for the circus had its perks, and he was a skilled acrobat.

She had to admit, Ora was telling the truth. As it hurt a little to hear it was the life they chose and one that didn’t have a happy ending most of the time. Looking at the tooth in hand and around at the others she held her hand. "Teeth, give them here. They can’t take what you don’t have nor what they can see. So hand over your teeth." It was an idea, an idea to win. She looked to Ora. "I'll use my semblance to keep them away from others. Without my harness my hand to hand skills are at a minimum." Looking to her team, hand still hanging there to receive what they had to guard. "I'll just need to hitch a ride is all."

Chloris was quiet for the most part as they would leave for their destination, other than the replies to the scroll. Praying for their other teammate's safety, she would soon be distracted by the spirit animals? She didn't quite know what they are, but she found them most intriguing to say the least. Looking to Remus, she scowled a little. "I only strayed a little," She grumbled as they made their way into the forest.

Though she knew she had a tendency to wander, she understood right now would not be a good time to wander off. Sighing softly, she smiled a little as she walked with her new, crude staff in-hand. The group seemed rather quiet though as they went deeper into the forest, following a trail that didn't really have any clear markings from what she could tell at least. As she was kept from straying by the wolf spirit when it wasn't going off somewhere, she was made to focus on her steps over the lush and greens before she'd hear Remus' voice after a bit.
"Wait for me." She sighed as he bolted off, following swiftly behind.

Now at a run, she really didn't have troubles keeping up; she had harder times chasing her siblings in the bushes back home. Looking up, she sighed when she'd catch a glimpse of their team leader monkeying from tree to tree, but has to admit, that it was swift travels. She stuck to just running though until they were quite a ways inside the forest...and then she saw the beautiful briars that ranged from as tall as herself to taller than Remus.
"Oh my...this is pure beauty," The petite nature-lover whispered, in awe of the sylvan loveliness before her.

Shaking her head to clear it, she looked around to take in more of their surroundings before frowning at Henryk's childlike remark.
"No one needs to bathe Ciara besides me," She retorted casually. Smiling and shaking her head she would look to Remus as he'd suggest her to make an opening. Blushing softly, she'd nod before stepping up. Though it would take about a count of thirty seconds, she'd concentrate on a certain spot, her aura glowing a pale green, as the briar vines would begin to writhe and slither apart slowly to make a slight if not crude, opening to the clearing beyond.

To see Feng react in such violent ways was nothing more. They didn't refer to her as a tiny terror for nothing. Cute little kitten, but kittens have claws and Feng was certainly never afraid to used hers. However, this was different than her normal attacks, flicking and tossing chunks of sand. This wasn't just some angry lashing lashing or that of the tiny captain growing bored. This was purposeful, each move and each word held instruction behind it. Dani watched wide eyed as Feng leaped on top of the much larger Jentel, fearless as ever. She was slightly taken aback by his own words. It made her wonder all the more just where he and his so called master were from... but more so, what exactly his master was up too. He wasn't exactly open. Their conversations were always brief, secretive, and at times insinuative. She never got the chance to inquire much. He always popped in when he wanted and popped out before she could get a word in. She had never seen him face to face, but the event at the beach made her think that he must have eyes on the outside. He seemed like a decent enough guy... he obviously cared about Jentel, but he was quite mysterious. Dani couldn't help but wonder what exactly she had gotten herself into, but she wouldn't go back on her word either. She would do what she could to help Jentel. He might not be able to view her as a friend, but that's what he was to her.

Lost in thought as she was, she couldn't help but flinch slightly as Feng made her way to her. With her weapon, Dani wasn't completely useless. That is, if she wasn't completely out of her mind nervous. Rather if one were to watch her on a training field whilst she thought she was alone, one might witness just how graceful the faunus could be. When there wasn't the fear, the anxiety, or the eyes of judgment, when she didn't choke up, she did exhibit some of those traits Feng spoke of. She could move like water, she had the ability, but she'd lost even the small amounts of nerve she had when her parents died. They burned away like her home, her island.

Even so, that was only with her weapon. Dani was always timid, always nervous, and that made her clumsy. When she was in her own comfort zone, like she had been on her island, like she still was when in the water, those clumsy and timid tendencies faded to an extent, but that, she had never quite mastered the skill of hand to hand combat. She was actually quite terrible at it. Initially as Feng poked, pried, pulled, and guided, Dani was stiff as a bored. However, towards the end her limbs became more limber and she allowed for Feng to show her just what to do. Their captain had a point. As small as Dani was, Feng was smaller, so if their captain could be a force to be reckoned with, so could she. It would take time, practice, and some sort of confidence boost, but for just a fraction of a moment, she actually saw that possibility. For a moment she didn't see just an impossible path before her, but rather the potential that it held. Her entire time at Beacon she had felt she was chasing after an impossible dream, but for the moment, it felt within her grasp. Still out of reach with a long journey before her, but still, something she could hold on to. Something to get her through the trials and challenges that were sure to come. "Thank you...." The pink haired girl murmured, quiet as ever, as Feng sighed and walked away from her.

As Jentel busied himself with his work, and Feng worked over the branch Dani had failed with, the girl was back to feeling rather useless. She was clueless when it came to this stuff and couldn't offer much help, but instead she watched over Feng shoulder. She had offered to teach and Dani wasn't about to miss out on such an important lesson. She wouldn't always have her team to make sure she didn't wind up maimed or killed. Still, as Jentel spoke of their need to be resourceful, relying on intelligence and playing to their strengths rather than rushing head in, a thought occurred to her. Lifting up her hands, she gently pulled both her gloves off and tucked them carefully under her belt. She almost always kept her gloves on, even while she was sleeping to avoid being startled and accidentally stinging someone. She would have to be careful to avoid contact with Feng and Jentel, but she could already feel the stinging cells within her palms and fingers reacting to the adrenaline pumping through her veins. It wouldn't kill anyone, but the sting would be significantly painful. At the very least it would fend someone off long enough for her to get out of reach. If it came down to that.

She couldn't help the warm color that filled her cheeks when Jentel looked to her with a nod, expressing a need for care around the flames. He was not wrong in his concern, especially when it came to her own tendency to constantly accidentally hurt herself, but she still couldn't help the embarrassment. "I'll... do my best." She murmured again. That seemed to be the phrase she kept coming back to, but it was all she could really promise at this point. She let him drop one into her hand, but kept her skin far out of reach of his. She didn't want to risk accidentally stinging him. They were already at a disadvantage, that would only make their odds worse. Then again, what they lacked for in vigor they seemed to make up in other ways. Jentel was just as resourceful as he had always proven to be, not only with the plans of fires and raps, but the fake teeth he was in the process of crafting. She watched both him and Feng with violet eyes, trying to learn what she could and ready to jump in and offer a hand if the opportunity presented itself.

                                                    ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Remus turned his head to look up into the trees that reached up out of the tangle. He hoped that this area actually had enough trees growing close enough for Henryk to actually get to the clearing by jumping from tree to tree. If not Henryk would figure something out. Most likely jumping down into the opening Chloris makes for them. Following Chloris through would be the best option for Remus. He'd rather conserve his energy. Plus he was going to take a break from his semblance. Henryk took off ahead and Chloris was up front now so he didn't think either of them noticed but the vivid titanium blue companions they had been traveling with had dissolved away in a swirl of light like dispersing mist.

He took a deep breath as the full force of his aura returned to his own body. The energy coating himself in an invisible defensive coat just like everyone else's. He never knew all that many people that project their aura away from its defensive duties. Well outside of those that regularly use weak amounts of it to fuel their weapons with bullet like attacks. He paused for a moment and took one look behind him before following Chloris along her path through the briers. it was rather amusing to look back behind him again at random as they walked to watch the path close itself back up. 'Almost could pity anyone who tried to force their way through here without the aid of Chloris.' He looked back ahead and studied her back a little and the moving plants before softly muttering, "It's like watching the plants make a path and bow down before their beloved goddess..."

After they reached the clearing Remus looked around for Henryk. The second thing he did was hand the bundle of sticks to be made into weapons over to Chloris. "We should be well out of sight and safe for a while so here are these. My semblance will be ready to go again and I can put out sentries in a bit. Til then and while you are working on these and familiarizing yourself with your local green subjects I'll help Henryk with setting up the extra perimeter defense and trap points." He took off to join Henryk just as soon as he was sure Chloris had hold of everything. It would be a thousand to one bad luck odds but last thing they needed was to accidentally drop the biggest of those sticks on one of their foots and cause some kind of injury.

XXXWhile thoughts were few and far between with the woman being in her predatorial state, she still felt confliction from the events unfolding. That mostly being a torn mentality on whether or not she should have warned him to run. After all... If she hadn't warned him, she would already be enjoying a feast unlike any other. Normally when Rachel had entered such a state, it was when she was hunting animals or grimm, or just eating on her own. While she always became more aggressive when it happened, it had truly been years since she felt a desire to hunt one of her own companions down in cold blood. Not to mention the last time it happened, she still had more control of herself. Perhaps it was the withdrawal from tasting the blood of man after so long. Or... Worse for thought, it could have been that the stronger she got, the less control she in fact had.

... Not that a single thought like this would run through her mind, that was all too complicated. No no. Instead, she'd let out a beastly growl after her teeth clamped down on nothing. With a force meant to crush bones and warp steel, her jaw would throb in pain for but a moment. Missing her target, she'd dig her nails and heel into the loose dirt, ripping up grass as she skidded to a halt. In untamed movements, her head would dart back and forth as the students scattered into their own individual groups to begin the exercise ... There were so many potential preys, but the one with the loudest voice and most potent smell would still keep her attention; Lancer. Her maw hung open as a low toned growl resonated deep in her throat, drool seeping and dripping between her teeth. Crimson irises would follow his frame into the forest, and she would kick from the ground once more to launch her into a full-on a pursuit after him. Each step was heavy, ripping up tuffs of grass and kicking the dirt behind her. While she stood on two feet now, her frame was still tucked low to the ground with her arms dangling at her sides. While they were free moving, they were ready to snap up at any moment. Displayed as she darted around a tree in pursuit of Lancer. The wood would crackle against the force she'd slam her wrist against the trunk to propel herself away, bouncing like a pinball as she entered the forest.

Past the first row of trees, the outskirts instantly became a maze. For the students that were less familiar with the environment, it would certainly become more difficult to navigate the further they pressed into the woods. Actually, Rachel herself would've been hopelessly lost from her own poor navigation skills. It was only because she had reverted to more primal instincts and followed the scent of Lancer's blood that she was able to continue her hunt for the man. If it had been any other student, Rachel would've already been upon them with a deathly maw. If that happened, she certainly would've lost the little credibility she already had a student. Now though, she acted as a prime example of both a hunter and a survivalist ... And she was unwilling to let her prey escape her. Perhaps his taunts were exactly what she needed. Once they passed the first row of trees, his taunting words would rattle in her empty mind just as her body bounced back and forth between the trees. That was the thing, she gave up her element of surprise. Perhaps the hungry girl was just trying to be nice before she could RIP his damn face off, and his taunts only fueled her more aggressive self. "Grrrr..... Ya really gonna pull that on me?!" She shouted as she watched him around a tree, but her aggression was already at a boiling point. Rather than rounding it herself, she instead took the tree head-on with the full force of her body and tore effortlessly through the mass of wood. The sound of crushed and splintering wood would echo through the woods, followed with the toppling of the natural structure as it crashed against the ground. "Just wait you ****ing t**t, I need those toothpicks of yours when I'm finished with you!" Then it happened again, slamming full force into a tree until its mass toppled before her. This time, though, as it fell she would leap onto its trunk to ascend the descending tree. It all happened so fast, and she would kick off the falling trunk towards a high hanging tree branch that she would meet with an open maw. The branch would swing her momentum forward, and with a killer bite, her maw would tear the branch right off the tree and launch her forward. As she touched down, she briefly saw a figure out of the corner of her eyes... With horns and polka dots. Fortunately for whoever it was, Lancer still had her focus and she would race past without a second thought.

With the branch in her mouth, her movements became severely jagged and awkward. Curving around the next tree caused her branch to smack against the trunk, loosening a few of her teeth into the branch. Once she squirmed past, she hissed as she skidded to a stop and pulled the large branch from her mouth. "Get. Back. HERE!" Aiming the branch tip forward with several teeth sticking out of it, she arched her arm back and readied it like a spear. Her fingers curled into the wood before hurling it forward and releasing. The spear of a tree branch would pick up a spin as it whirled through the air, and threw a piece of shrubbery to try and pick off Lancer from a distance. "I just want a bite is all, IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?!" She'd scream as she ducked down to begin her assault once again. Rachel was relentless and would continue to chase the man down until the taste cycled from her palate, or he finally confronted her. Either way, she'd come barreling after her branch-spear to continue to close the gap.

Henryk had a little issue once he had scaled a tree and was entering their area of choice. The thorns were even more prevalent on the trees he was climbing as he passed overt the wall, leaving very little space for him to land on without stabbing himself with thorns. He had to slow down a bit in order to navigate through, hearing as the other were making their own path into the area. He didn't even hear Chloris' comment of only her bathing her cat, he was too focused on trying not to die by thorns and the excitement of going through this. The tooth in his boot was not helping things either. It was pinned to the side by his ankle, and while not stabbing into him, having something so sharp there was far from pleasant. He did his best to ignore it though as a misstep here would be far more painful. Finally, he passed through the worst of the thick briars and vines to a tree near the center of the area that had at least some sitting room along its upper branches. Once there, he would strike a leader pose, at least what he thought was one, as he looked down to his two teammates. Remus seemed to be giving Chloris sticks, maybe for the weapons he mentioned earlier or perhaps to start a fire, Henryk was not sure. It did not matter currently for what he would say. "Time for our master plan. If anyone comes for us, they won't know what happened to them. We have to make Ella proud and hold out in case she rejoins us!" He would exclaim, loud enough for them to hear but not much louder. He liked the bluster of it and pretending to be completely stoic, though he did laugh a little after it.

He would take out his scroll and rest his back against the trunk of the tree to make sure he didn't fall. 'We don't know if anyone followed us. While we can talk normally between us, for our defenses we should type it. I'm going to set up the top part of my traps, Remus I need you to do the ground part when you can, though you may be better off finding good defense points or places to hide ourselves well. Chloris, let us know if you need anything and we'll all help get this base set up together.' He typed to them. Smiling to them all, he would get to work in setting up his traps. He had to vary them, because once they saw one they would be looking for others. Which suited him just fine, he liked originality. His first trap was a simple looped rope one. He covered it up in leaves near the south end of the base, and if anyone stepped on it they would be hilariously hanging by a leg. Thankfully, the area was pretty littered with leaves so it would not be too obvious. He hoped it would not be him at least. Before he went to make the next trap, a thought suddenly occurred to him. 'if I don't tell them where it is...one of us may get snagged...' He thought to himself. As he went about making his next trap, he kept an eye there and would speak up if they were headed towards it. His next trap was a bit bigger, in case a group happened to be walking together. It also didn't depend on them looking down at the ground, but rather up into the tree line itself to notice. He gathered, with or without help, as much loose briar and thorny branches as he could and placed them all in a net placed between branches of some of the trees, leaving leaves at the base to give it a little bit of camouflage. It was directly over the center of the small clearing they had, with the rope holding it up from falling training along the branches of the tree with less thorns where it was tied up at the base. One tug and it would give way to a very painful rain of debris over anyone unfortunate enough to be in the way.

Henryk, with the help of Remus, added a few other rope hang traps but most importantly, left around a fair amount of dud lines and ones to help the others climb. He figured, once they saw one trap, they would either target the ropes or know to be wary of him pulling them. It may not work past the first one, but he hoped he could use it to bluff. What bluff he would pull, if he were even able to, he did not know. It was just a backup in case things went wrong. The last more inventive set of traps he had nicknamed 'Natures Wrath'. It was a very simple one and also fairly obvious if one were to be looking for traps, but in emergencies it could still work. The idea was to bend one of the more flexible branches back, and with a simple cut, the branch would swing very fast and hard back into place, hopefully catching someone unaware. His trap grid was now better set up. The slapping branches were only set up among the trees, while the hanging rope traps were primarily lining the edges. Only the one branch drop trap existed for the center, as he did not get enough net for more. Henryk made sure to show Chloris' and Remus the location of every trap, climbing rope, and every dud. He did not want anyone accidentally triggering any. "If you have ideas for any of your own, feel free to add to this and i'll try to chip in." He would say, and he would help them with whatever they needed if he were asked. Wiping his forehead with the back of his hand as he sat down among one of the branches of the relatively clear tree in terms of briars, he let out a breath at finishing his part of the work for his own traps and helping out any others if he was needed. "And with that, the stage is set. We only need an audience for my act." He would say with a smile as he paused before continuing. "I'll take center stage and initiate the main act if anyone comes in, though i'll leave any encores in your capable hands." He would say, making a small flourish with his hands and giving his best performers confidence in his voice. His traps were his section of the defense. He wanted to get them close to trigger them, and once that happened, he would need their help to ensure they kept things under control. Their semblances were far more useful than his, so he had to rely on his parlor tricks for his part and their own prowess for the rest. "Also, we are so keeping this fort for the future. I claim it for our team. Our own secret hideout!" He said cheerily, happy to have made a spot for themselves in the hostile and creepy outskirts where he felt safe.

Feeling eyes on her back, Chloris pretended not to hear the more than slightly embarrassing compliment that Remus made as she focused on the pathway into the briar's clearing while it closed up behind them with each step they took further in. Silently, she noted that it would be at least two yards of thorns to get through for anyone determined enough to try without assistance. The plant enthusiast quietly purred inside, thoroughly pleased with their location. "There we go, after you. Thank you, I'll take care of the weapons," She told Remus after they were through and they were now secured inside their so-called safe haven. She took the bundle and looked to each one with possibilities before walking off to the side to do her work.

Her mossy green eyes turned to their team leader, always seeming so lively. It was something that kind of reminded her of her little brother..almost.
"I'm sure she will be." The petite young woman agreed when Henryk mentioned Ella and her being proud. At least she would hope their other teammate would be. As everyone worked on their own projects to guard their new "fort", she looked to the first staff, setting her own stick beside her, she sat crosslegged under one of the shadier trees. "hmm," She hummed softly, enjoying the sweet music of the birds and rustling leaves of the trees. Holding a rather young yet thick branch, she closed her eyes and soon she would have a longbow with a taut bark fiber bowstring. Smiling softly, she would set it to the side for now before moving on to the next.

"That would be ideal. But I'd settle for just getting her back in one piece. Having to risk one our comrades for the sake of someone off doing an idiot's chore." Remus said, venting a bit of worry and frustration over it all, in response to Henryk. His fingers drummed against his biceps as he stood and looked off towards the depths of outskirts. 'I suppose I should put it out of mind for now. Ella is too smart to not feed the mouse some aura if they really need an assist. Don't need to worry about her being stubborn and getting in too deep like some people I have met.' His arms dropped from their crossed position to his sides after that and he got busy helping Henryk booby trap the place. He left it mostly up to the team leader though he would point out a few places where there were gaps in the tree branches. "Hey, you think we could rig up a few dead-weight swing traps in these gaps Henryk?" If Henryk wasn't sure what he meant by that he would elaborate. Describing a trap with plain old cut the rope and let gravity do the rest mechanics. Placed at choke points or just places you think potential enemies might be prone to stand. A big log or rock put up in a gap between the tree branches that once cut free would swing in and hopefully wrecking ball said enemies.

Other than working to try and set up those and giving Henryk a hand here or there with the more complex things he was making Remus spent time making some six foot lengths of basic 'rope'. It wasn't nothing that would hold a lot of weight or be counted on to keep a captive in captivity, but once tied at both ends here or there where tall grass of leaves obscured it they made for a minefield of the most basic traps ever, the trip wire.

Having finished rigging up the eighth one Remus noticed that it seemed Chloris had finished her first project. He went over and picked up the bow he had asked for. He played around with it to test it. "Not bad. Chloris you can do better work at this than expected. Even if the other knew about your semblance I would doubt they would expect it could turn out such good craftsmanship so fast..." Remus pulled one of the arrows from the quiver still on his belt. He nocked the arrow with practiced hands and swiftly lifted the bow. The bowstring pulling back to his chin as the bow came up to line the arrow up along side his right eye. The next moment the string made a soft twang sound which was followed by the thunk of the arrow head wedging itself into the trunk of the closest tree. Remus lowered the bow as he nodded. "Very good work indeed." He said with a broad grin. While he went over to pull the arrow free and return it to its home he got the bow settle across his torso so it wouldn't be in the way.

As Rachel followed him into the forest, hearing her growls and her very loud yet violent movements as she chased him, his earlier thought may have proved correct. Had he known there was a chance of this…well it would not have stopped him from challenging her to that game, but he would have been far more prepared for it. He hoped it was the taste of blood alone that caused it, and that if another student bled she would not suddenly diverge to go after them. It was part of the reason he was taunting her and ensured blood had flowed freely earlier, though he did not maintain it as much now. His attention was more focused on staying ahead of her till he could find favorable ground to face her. The key was finding that in this expansive forest. Yes, he had hunted in here from time to time, but things tended to look different when faced with an urgent situation. The subtle signs he usually had were lost, and he did not sight any of the major ones. The forest was large enough that it was entirely possible it was a part he had yet to explore before. Another loud, louder than usual as it sounded like splintering wood and a tree falling, and Garret knew his taunting hit home. Her mentioning his spears as toothpicks for the cleanup after she reached him was proof enough of that. He still had yet to find a suitable place to fight, as much as he longed to. Sure, she may not have been in the right state of mind and he was currently using his semblance, but a battle was a battle. It would not always be favorable or entirely fair. He would not count it as an official match against her as he preferred his duels to be fair, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t get some enjoyment out of this.

Then, the strangest thing happened. As Garret was running, he noticed a prone figure not to far away from him. Just laying here in the outskirts…He was also only wearing underwear. Garret couldn’t focus any longer on the person, didn’t even speak out in case that alerted Rachel to his presence. He hoped it would still be a suitable distraction to her and that the scent of his blood would continue to drive her to him. He did mentally mark where that individual was, and made a note to himself to check afterwards if he could find his clothes. Hearing the sound of another tree being toppled by her only confirmed that in his mind as he kept running. Strangely enough though he could no longer hear her loud crashing through the forest after, and hazarding a glance behind him, he knew why. Rachel was in the air…and then she was swinging on a branch and much closer to him than he had ever intended her to be. Though…she did seem far less intimidating with a branch in her mouth. Hearing her crashing again was a small relief as he could track her…until it went silent again but this time with no further sound. As she screamed at him, he glanced back…only to see a large tooth covered branch aimed straight at him, moving in a deadly spiral. With the size of it and its arc…he could not just duck. Rolling would not work either, Virtue was still strapped to his back and would totally prevent it. ‘Only one way to go through this then.’ He reasoned to himself. As the projectile neared, he threw himself off to his right side. He landed roughly on his shoulder and skidded into a nearby tree. He felt a slight burning from the skidding and the force into the tree was not pleasant, but he forced himself to ignore it as he quickly spun back up to his feet. In this time however, she was already charging him again. So, with an arrogant smirk as Garrets mind tried to process everything…He did the one thing explicit in his nature. Something that he could never resist. He answered the call of battle and charged forward, only having Heir out currently as he did. His mind was racing as he heard and saw her strength first hand. His speed may be his only advantage, though he may be able to utilize the environment if he were lucky. Another issue was that he could not let either spear break, but he did not know how long they could withstand her jaws. He would have to be reactive. Still, it didn’t hurt to plan ahead. As he charged, he his free hand reached into his satchel and took out a rose, luckily a red one. He would wait for the prime moment to pull off one thing before they clashed. It all depended on how she moved though. It would also be better to shed his bag, but he couldn’t currently. He just hoped it did not get caught on anything. For once he didn’t even say anything. He just wore his arrogant grin and let out a battle cry as he was on a collision course for her, spear leading the way.

After making a set of spears Feng began pawing at the ground and made a small pile of stones in varying size and shape, though most no bigger than a lemon. With her rock pile set to the side the tiny terror climbed a nearby tree, cursing around the sharp rock in her teeth as the bark scraped her and her clothing, and hacked away at a series of vines, sending them tumbling in a heap to the forest floor.
"No thank, Feng do what grandpapa do for her. She weak, he teach how to be strong without being big and muscley." she turned to look at Danerys with a wolfish grin "Come, you help, teach trick learn back home"
Rather than wait for an answer Fēngniǎo marched over to Danerys and tugged her over to where she was working. With careful deliberation Feng began to run the edge of the sharp stone in hand against the vines pulled taut between her foot and her other hand. Every stroke began breaking the vine down, shedding strips of it off and hacking it into thinner fibers before settign aside everything into individual organized piles. For a moment she disappeared before returning with several long plant blades and limp stems.

"Family come from Mistral" Fēngniǎo said, finally answering Jentel's question she she showed Danerys what to do. Her fingers nimbly began tying and twisting the fibers she'd gathered into sturdy looking makeshift rope "Rich family , very big" she began tying the rope around a trio of some of the smoother stones she'd gathered up and began to tie the ends together in a monkey's fist knot. "Oldest family grandpapa, he love Feng because she youngest and smallest, play ball lots and sit on lap at meeting and dinner, rich people like Feng too because she cute and play music good. Make grandpa look even better and give family connection. "

Fēngniǎo held her jerry-rigged bola and gave it an experimental series of swings over her head before setting it down, satisfied and gestured for Dani to do the same.
"Grandpapa get sick and weak, Feng near him make him feel better, Feng play music make him happy. It make him feel good, he say he love grandbaby and song gift and he make Feng first heir" the tiny terror smirked as she began working on setting up a set of even longer ropes "Feng have good future, much money and land back in Mistral." She suddenly stopped working and sat back on her heels.
"Family hate Feng for that...start treat her worse. First just picking, then bully, they pull her hair, tear her robes, burn her dolls. Soon kick her when walk by and lock her outside in winter, give food to cattle and throw her in river. Feng too small so she stay by grandpa, things be worse when he gone."

The usual look of dismissive annoyance on her face was gone for once, replaced by a wetness that hinted at tears threatening to fall as she held out one of her small but strong hands and pulled up the hem of the long sweeping sleeve. Across the back of her hand was a series of dark scars, only beginning to fade with time.
"They try to take Feng gift away, think if she not play music grandpapa hate and make another heir. Feng saved by mama and she tell. Grandpapa better then, thank Feng music he love and teach her to trick cousins with toys like rocks and string, but also teach how be strong without be big. " she pulled her sleeve back down and wiped her eye with it while smiling slightly "Feng fight different, move in and out , up and down fast and jump like fly" To emphasize her point the tiny captain suddenly pitched her head backward and , against all logic, backflipped from her kneeling position onto her feet, and raised a knee while raising one hand over her head and another out, fingers pointed at an imaginary enemy like knives.
"Grandpapa love how Feng fight, he say 'Move like birds in garden that dance with flowers, and give Feng new name."
Suddenly looking stoic again the captain dropped back to her knees and began weaving the ropes once more.
"Fēngniǎo name mean, Hummingbird , to you. It fit, here look" seemingly having forgotten about her backstory and moment of vulnerability , Feng tied the longer ropes she'd made to one of the slightly larger rocks, this one maybe the of a disfigured orange, and threw it at a sturdy tree branch above after a few swings. The stone looped around the branch and, after a few experimental tugs, Feng began climbing the rope and perched on the branch above with a grin.
"Make tool and weapon ,if know how to use."

Hearing Ora's option to hide their scent, Zed would cringe at the suggestion given. Ugh... You can not expect me to rub myself with Earth s**t, do you? Zed asked, as he saw that Lena did it also. He would let off a sigh of defeat, before he would rub it off on his trench coat. Better that than all over his face. Here. Zed said, tossing the three teeth to Lena for safe keeping. Thinking of the entire plan, Zed would think of what can possibly be done about team HARE. He knew at least two of them were strong, so those two would be Ora and Zed's priority. We should set up an ambush if that's the case. Zed would say before cracking his knuckles. It's been a while since he fought with his bare hands before.

Ora would notice that Zed ignored what she said. That was fine, but what she said was the truth. The sad, ugly truth. They would all die to the hands of the Grimm. Though Ora was sure that Vale would find her now, and experiment on her, ending her life in a very different way than the other two.

Ora would look at Lena. She cared for the woman, and the woman was putting herself in harms way by shrinking. She didn't have her harness, and wanted to catch a ride. At an inch tall, the woman could be prey for any number of creatures. Ora would rather her stay this size, but she understood. The teeth would shrink with her, making it impossible for others to get them. There could also be the backlash of the teacher not accepting the teeth at such a size. It was a risk they would have to take. "If you are sure about that Lena, go ahead, you can stay in my hair." Ora know how dense her hair was. While it wouldn't protect Lena from attacks, it would keep natural predators away from her. In fact, if they saw combat, then Lena would be in a hole in a tree.

"While an ambush would be nice, it might be too late for that. They have a head start on us." Ora would go over to where they had started, and started to walk the path that they had started to go down. The dirt here was dry, and not really ideal for sloshing on your body to hide your scent. "Lena, when you are ready, tap my leg, I'll pick you up." She would then move forward, her skin having issues moving, which showed why she had such a difficult gait.
