Yes, yes and yes! Lol let's skip a year... They are talking about coming out as a couple but Lotor's abuser shows up and causes problems?

Lotor and Gabriel’s relationship settled somewhat over the course of a year. They had their ups and their downs. A few small fights… a few large fights… Lotor had been pissed when Gabe ended up in the hospital with a bullet in his shoulder from a robbery gone wrong… Gabe hadn’t been on duty, but had stepped in to try and apprehend the suspect. He had been reckless and ended up shot. Gabe got to deal with the pain of a bullet wound for a week before Lotor used his medical expertise to heal him… said he needed ‘time to think about his actions’. But they managed to talk things out in the end.

There bond mellowed out as well. Gabe didn’t feel overwhelmed by their shared emotions anymore. But it didn’t feel any less special that it did when the bond was new. Gabe still loved to brush their marks together when they made love. It was the best feeling in the world. They learned that distance put a strain on their bond, almost like stretching a rubber band too far. Luckily, distance wasn’t something they dealt with often. They usually stayed in the same city, and usually returned to the other at night.

But where they would return for the evening was starting to get frustrating. Keeping their relationship a secret had been hard, and having two places of residence wasn’t helping things. Gabe had to return home often enough to keep up appearances, but Lotor’s home was better fortified and protected… not to mention it almost was bigger and just felt cozier… And that was just the living arrangements. Gabriel was starting to learn the limits of his possessive personality… almost daily, people at work would talk about Lotor. At first, it was with suspicion… but now, it was out of curiosity… and sometimes, lust. The first time Gabe had heard someone talking about his bonded like he was an available piece of a**, Gabe nearly clocked the officer. Girls at work talked about him… Gabe had even caught the soft whispers of interest from some of the male officers… those where the worse… Some men were just crude when they talked about sex. Gabe just wanted to scream, ‘He’s mine! You can’t have him, so STOP!’

It was one of those days. He had caught Officer Brook talking to another officer in the lockers about Lotor, how’d he’d look bent over his desk. Gabe slammed his locker shut, instantly irritated, frustrated, and angry. The sudden onset made it impossible to stop his feelings from vibrating through their bond. The officers shut up quickly, looking at Gabe stricken… they probably thought Gabe was upset at hearing them talk about his impromptu partner like that… if only they knew the full extent of that train of thought. Gabe stormed out of the precinct, done with his shift for the day. Slamming the door shut of his car, he briskly demanded Anne to drive him home… muttering an apology for his rough words a few minutes later. His anger, however, didn’t dissipate on the ride home. As soon as the car parked in the garage, Gabe was rushing out of the car, slamming the door shut.

He stormed into the lair, pinning their bond to find where Lotor was. It was easy enough to find his mate. Gabe didn’t even under a hello as he stalked over to Lotor, pressed him to his chair with a hand to his shoulder, threaded his other hand through Lotor’s hair to grip and tilt Lotor’s head back so he could crash their lips together. The kiss was rough and Gabe didn’t give Lotor the option to dominate the kiss. He demanded complete submission as he bit at Lotor’s bottom lip under he opened up for him. It was a couple minutes before Gabe pulled back, panting heavily. “Mine.” He growled. “You’re mine.” He leaned in, climbing into Lotor’s lap, burying his face into the crook of Lotor’s neck. “Damn it… I’m sorry… I just…” he muttered against the lilac column, punctuating his words with nibs and kisses.

Hearing Lotor confirm his claim clamed Gabe down a bit. He settled his weight onto Lotor’s lap, face buried into his mate’s neck and shoulder. He huffed, molding himself against the taller man’s frame. He nodded a bit, then shook his head at Lotor’s first question, unsure how exactly to explain. It had been a fine day… until the end… stupid Officer Brook! The thought of the other officer alone had Gabe bristling again, muscles taunt and tense under Lotor’s hands. Lotor’s comforting voice and energy through their bond kept Gabe from becoming enraged again, but, s**t, he was tired of this s**t!

Gabriel pulled back, sitting up so he could look into his mate’s eyes while he spoke. The light concern and love he saw in those blue orbs made his heart skip a beat. Studying Lotor intensely, he cupped one lilac cheek and ran his thumb over a prominent cheek bone. “You’re mine. I’m yours… you know this, I know this… I’m tried of everyone else on this planet thinking your single.” He huffed. Saying his concerns and frustrations out loud made him feel a bit childish. He was just acting like a child, wasn’t he? He deflated a bit, a light flush of embarrassment dusted his cheeks. “Some officer at work… he was talking about you in the locker room…” Gabe glanced down, eyes trained on a particular spot on Lotor’s shirt as he tried to remain calm and not embarrass himself further. He was pretty sure it was a lost cause. “It was not a polite conversation…” The hand resting on his thigh tightened into a fist as he remembered the words he had overheard. “They think you are available… romantically… and they think it gives them a right to talk about you… you’re – you’re body like, like you’re some kind of…” he bit his tongue, angry and frustrated. He closed his eyes tightly and bowed his head further.

“I nearly punched him into stupid mouth…” he growled. His other hand, at some point, as trailed down Lotor’s neck and now was curling and uncurling around the collar of his mate’s shirt. After a moment of calculated breaths, he opened his eyes and looked at Lotor sheepishly. “Sorry… I think, maybe, I just… might have… over reacted a bit.” He said, trying to down play his reaction. He didn’t want to become a burden and surely his extreme reactions would create problems for Lotor.

Gabriel actually cracked a small grin imagining Officer Brook’s reaction. But that probably wasn’t the best way to make their relationship known. He should probably give his chief a heads up first… then from there… maybe a date like Lotor was suggesting? Lotor was popular enough to not go unnoticed in a crowd. Someone would snap a picture of them, and word would spread. Then maybe they could do one of those social media announcements? That all sounded like it would take too long. Gabriel sighed and relaxed into Lotor’s comfortable grip.

Gabriel was frowning at the reminder of the sex doll as Lotor lifted his chin until they were looking at each other. A year ago, the letters and videos were funny… but now… Gabriel couldn’t help but feel jealousy. He tilted his head, keeping eye contact with Lotor, and kissed the male’s hand. His hand lifted up and grabbed Lotor’s wrist, to keep the appendage close. “Mine.” He mumbled softly against lilac skin.

The human followed Lotor’s hand a bit as it ran through his hair. He closed his eyes, more relaxed and content now. “We were hiding because of me too, Lotor.” he sighed softly and opened his eyes again. “Yes, yes, yes to it all.” He said with a smile. He leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss to his mate’s lips. “Tomorrow? Ice skating sounds like fun.” He said, still smiling. He pressed another kiss to soft lips. His hand trailed up behind Lotor’s head and into his hair as his other hand pressed his mark against Lotor’s clothed chest. “Now… I’m hungry… be my dinner?” he asked, teasingly.

((I'm doing great! Super busy! Getting married in 2 weeks (eloping), graduating in 2 months, searching for a job! So ya, busy but good!! How are you?))

((It's ok! Eloping works better for our wallets and its more of what we wanted anyways! I hope you find some peace throughout your struggle. Dealing with mental stuff is hard, especially when the people around you don't understand it. I'm been/go through that too sometimes. I hope you have support around you! Good luck with everything!
