She always had that look about her, that look of otherness... ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
He didn't seem to notice her, not at first anyway. When he did finally realize her presence, he was sto startled by the fact that she had appeared to actually process any of the words that left her mouth. Not to mention he nearly jumped out of his own skin and came rather close to losing his head because of it. "Careful there." She told him in that honeysuckle voice of hers, though she wasn't sure if he had actually collected himself enough to hear here yet. After a moment he came to enough to throw a couple of questions her way. Giving a shrug of her tiny shoulders she spoke again. "Well just now." She answered his first question rather simply, but there was a playful smirk dancing around the corner of her lips as she continued. "Well, I just walked... that mad dash of yours made for quite the distraction... Granted, there were still a few close calls." She said, raising her hand up and giving him a thumbs up as she mentioned his sprint across the courtyard. "Kinda fun though really."
After a moment some device of his gave a little ding, which startled him nearly as much as she had. The whole sniper situation seemed to have gotten his panties in a twist, but she figured she probably should keep that thought to hereself. He wasn't exactly paying attention to her anymore anyway. The little sound had drawn his attention back to his own gear. She watched him curiously for several moments as he grinded up various substances and mixed them together with her head tilted slightly to one side. After several moments of this, she did a near saumersault from her pillar to crouch beside him behind the tree. Peering over his shoulder at whatever concauction he was working on, she spoke very close to his ear. "What is it you've got there?"

" Glad i could be so entertaining to you..." he said with an undertone of sarcasm.
as he finished mixing he actually noticed the girl moving this time as she she somersaulted behind his tree.
Ren felt a chill down his spine as his personal space was once again invaded by a stranger as she spoke close to him. He prevented himself from being haughty once more as he reminisced about the murderhold that Abigail had him in previously and decided to try and be nice and responded.
"... It's my method of escape, you'll see... butterscotch?" he asked as he offered the open candy bag to her and popped one into his mouth. putting the bag down after she took one.
The adrenaline rush he had experienced was finally wearing off and the candy helped calm him too, he seemed to be getting a bit more calm and collected once more.
"11 Lien worth of materials going into this..." he thought as a frown flashed across his face for a moment.
Ren pulled out a pack of thin aluminum foil in the kit, normaly used for packing gunpowder and filler for certain munitions, he had another plan in mind for it.
He began folding the foil over on itself several times until he had a somewhat sizable flat sheet, the then began tearing it into small squares and placing them within the mixing bowl. this only took a few moments to finish. he then proceeded to take out another long section of foil and dumped the mixture onto it before spreading it out flat. He pulled out the grenade detonators and place the three of them equal length along the foil and tied string to each of the pins, having them meet up into a single strand. he hands moved quickly with his work as he drew and arrow out of his quiver and wrapped the foil around the head of it, making sure the grenade pins were sticking out the bottom with the string before taking out some heavy tape and firmly securing thew payload to the arrow.
Ren took a few moments to put all his tools and implements away and closed his toolkit, placing it back on his back.
he tore up some grass and dropped it, checking the relative windspeed and direction, then he spoke to Zylah.
Well, I'm getting ready to walk over to the cafeteria to finally get something to eat, would you care to join me? he asked with a grin on his face.
He pulled his bow out of his quiver and unfolded it, no fancy auto change mechanism on this one. he knocked the laden arrow into the bow and placed the string in his mouth that led to the grenade pins and drew back the arrow, aiming it upwind, he appeared to struggle somewhat with the draw strength required for the bow, but seemed to manage.
Ren was aiming the bow at an apparent empty patch of sky. After he seemed certain of where he was aiming, he turned his head to tug at the string, which in turn pulled the pins on the grenade detonators. after about a second passed, he let loose the arrow which flew into the air. After a few seconds of flight, when it had just about reached it's apex, the payload exploded. A massive thick black cloud of smoke and chaff with a strong smell of butterscotch erupted out all directions from the explosion and was drifting downwards over the courtyard, with the breeze pushing it, it would more or less roll over the entire courtyard towards the school, allowing anyone who wished to simply walk into the smoke screen and hopefully walk with it to safety. though it would take it a few moments to reach where Ren and Zylah were.
Ren looking smug with himself, gave an affirmative nod to the explosion with a strange glint of joy in his eye at his success. He folded his bow again and placed it back in his quiver before turning to the girl again.
" So, since we've got a few moments, I'm Renier, what's your name miss?" he asked with a calm demeanor and smile. Whatever panic and anger he was showing before had all but dissipated. working with the tools always helped calm him down and settle his mind.

Guess she didn't need protection. As soon as Dusk would tell Z that she was perfectly fine on her own, Z let off a sigh, gun in hand. Okay fine. Just be careful, okay? You never can be with snipers. He said, as he was ready to fight. It was then that a sniper and someone else was going up high in the air fighting with anywhere the supposed gunman was at. Zed would help out with Dusk, but they seemed to have taken care of it. Soon enough, Z felt something at his left and saw a blonde male with his hair in a ponytail and a girl with white hair with one over her eye. One was pretty worried as was normal, while the other had originally just walked on over like it was nothing, casually avoiding bullets like they were nothing. What was even weirder to him, is that she somewhat seemed familiar to him, but couldn't remember where. Huh? Z noticed the male was doing something weird and soon enough suddenly had a bow and arrow. Maybe it was his weapon, but he would shoot it up in the air before firing it off and smoke would cloud over them, covering some of the students from the gunman's sights. Whoa, that's really smart! Dusk, now's our chance! Z would tell her, before he would make his way over to the two. You guys did that? Smart thinking! Z would tell them before letting off a sigh of relief.

Amélie's first shot hit true to target. The bandit near the front get let out something of a squeal, as the tracking device collided with his body. He was not hurt. He was still alive. But there was on problem. A sniper was no good if his targets knew where he was, and even worse, could now see him. There was a look of anger on his face, maybe mixed with a fear. He had half the mind to launch another flurry of bullets at that teacher that had gone off and fouled his plans. However, he decided against it as that wouldn't actually help him right now. He was thinking over a strategy, a plan B, when something else caught his attention. A large explosion coming from the courtyard. He watched as the strangely sweet smelling smoke settles into the courtyard. Smart. Seeing as no the students in the courtyard were hidden from few. The other two snipers were rendered momentarily useless. However, this bandit had a new plan. Climbing down from his hiding place, he made his way into the courtyard shifting the sniper he carried into what looked to be a massive warhammer. There was a twisted smirk on his lips as he approached the smoke. A smirk that said he knew something the rest of them didn't.
As he approached the cloud of smoke that was no drifting over the students, his body flickered for just a moment, then split. When his body become a solid entity once more, there was now six of him, rather than just one. The clones could not cause any real damage, rather they were an illusion meant to cause confusion. In the thick smoke visibility was far from clear, which made the clones that much more useful. Telling which one was real and which ones were not would be even harder, impossible even. The only real way would be to destroy the copies, which meant a battle. Meanwhile, the other two snipers had dodged Amélie's other two shots. Her first shot had acted as a warning her need for speed had altered her aim. They remained hidden, watching over the courtyard, but until the smoke settled their shots would not be of any use.

She always had that look about her, that look of otherness... ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The guy clearly wasn't as amused with her words as she had been. Not that she blamed him, she had a bad habit of not taking things seriously. A sniper attack on the school didn't really do much to change that. Honestly, even if it had been actual enemies of hers, and not the bandits she was secretly a part of, she would have acted just the same. Quirky, and constantly making unnecessary comments with that smirk plastered across her full lips. The only real difference would possibly be the fact that she might just fight back a little harder. Still, the girl decided against pestering him further, instead plopping herself down just beside him. She was tiny enough that the tree still acted as a sufficient barrier between her and the sniper-fire. "I would say more helpful than entertaining... it made my job a lot simpler." She commented, but as predicted her corner's twitch up slightly at her thoughts drifted off. "Then again... it wasn't the most boring thing I've ever watched either. I mean that in the best way of course."
He seemed lost in thought for a moment and Zylah sat back, crossing her legs as she watched him work, her crystalline gaze following his every movement. She crossed her legs as she sat on the pavement, once again looking far to casual for the situation. If not for the chaos around her, one might think she was simply lost in thought in her room, rather than in the center of the courtyard surrounded by sniper rifle. When he offered her the butterscotch, her blue eye, the one not hidden by her hair, lit up almost like a child's. Nodding happily the reached out, taking one from the bag and popping it into her mouth. The girl was a sucker for anything sweet. "Yes, please." Tucking the candy away in her cheek, she leaned forward, resting her elbow on her nee and her chin in her palm. "Candy and a surprise. I think I'm going to like you." She teased, winking playfully and flashing him that playful smirk.
Zylah enjoyed her candy patiently, letting him work in peace as he put the finishing touches on this contraption of his. However, it wasn't hard to see both the excitement and the curiosity growing in her expression as he finally began collecting his tools and putting them away. Once he was finished, he looked to her. Looking around the courtyard at his question before giving a small shrug, she returned her gaze to his with a small smile. "Well, I'm not doing anything else. So why not?" Pushing herself lithely to her feet, she watched as Ren raised his bow to the sky. She blinked once at the explosion, watch as the thick cloud of sweet-smelling smoke crept over the courtyard. A wide grin spread over her lips as she turned to Run, nudging him gently with her elbow. "Smart and handy. I'll go back to my previous assessment, in I think I'm going to like you."
He seemed significantly calmer as he turned to her with a smile, taking the few minutes the smoke would take to reach them for introductions. "Zylah." Not even a moment later, two other students approached them. At his question she shook her head lightly, silvery locks brushing over her shoulders. "Nah, that was all him. I just chose the right spot at the right time." She said, gesturing over at Renier before her gaze flickered between the white haired male and the darker haired female. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed another figure waking its way onto the courtyard. A bandit approaching the cloud of smoke. Only he almost instantaneously became a group of six rather than the singular as he made copies of himself. "Hey, Ren, if you still want breakfast I suggest we get out of here pretty quick."

Lunia Alexandria Yatomura "I'll make you all proud of me one day.."
- - - -
Lunia stood up, she looked at her only teammate to show up - that meant something to her. "Thanks for coming Charl-" before she could finish her compliment, a bullet flew right past her right cheek, cutting some of her hair with it.
Lunia instantly entered a defence stance, she scouted the area and raised her head to look up. "Sniper's, be careful... " she said, standing beside Charlotte. Before long, smoke enveloped the area, making it difficult for the snipers to see.
Looking at the new students around the courtyard, Lunia walked to join them, her blue hair flowing behind her as she walked. She stuttered in her walking, her leg still badly damaged and effected from the previous explosion, the bandage was evidently soaked in blood. She recalled back to the previous week, her siblings telling her she wasn't ready for Beacon, she should just go home and be a scholar. Her father's disappointment at her injuries from the explosion, not having access to the family semblance yet hindered Lunia greatly.
But she was a strikingly determined young woman, she looked it right now as she stood with her weapon's at her side, watching the shadow come from the smoke. She watched the illusions split up, and prepared to fight for her life again. Lunia knew her damaged leg could cause issues, she was an easy target - but she had Charlotte and the other students with her, they were a fiery force to have together.
Charlotte swayed ever so slightly to the left as lunia spoke. Just dodging the bullet without even realising it was there until Lunia flicked over to a defensive stance. Her own eyes opening a little wider as she spun around. Her umbrella opening and dropping behind her as it seemed the more likely area for targets to come from.
Charlotte's attention flickered back towards lunia as she started walking. Well more like limping away from her towards the main group. That motion itself made her elicit a soft sigh as she spun around and made her umbrella close up again. It's not like she had any ammo. Or a stabbing weapon at the moment as it was still damaged from when she killed a bandit before…Well saying she was totally out was a lie. She did have six larger caliber shots in her revolver. But that didn't count did it?
Charlotte was then ‘alone’ as everyone moved into the crowd. She could swear in the smoke that one person multiplied as well. Though possibly she was just seeing things in the strange smelling smoke of stuff. With a small twirl she put the umbrella tip towards the floor. Her right hand on the curved handle as she waited for anything to come close. She no longer knew who was hostile or not she she was treating everything in the smoke large enough to be human as hostile and would react in kind. ”Frack it..” she whispered quietly to herself as her left hand moved under the waistband of her shorts near her tail to grab the revolver from there. She did not reveal it yet. So her stance was a little bit weird with one hand behind her back. Though her tail had moved up next to her head to lash out at targets. A large group of people in smoke still stood out and any sniper had a chance to hit any target in the group blind firing. Least that was charlotte's logic in her stoic single minded mind. She was ready for anything coming out of the smoke in her limited area.

Dusk was just about to follow Zach,(Zed) when she hears something she moves to hide and sees one of the shooters jump down. This shooter weapon was changing to a big hammer. She moves to follow him just to see the one man become seven. Shoot which one was the original? did it matter? As she follows the man she changes her guns into twin swords she wouldn't let this man hurt Z, he even if he wasn't Zed reminded her of him. She just hoped she finds the right one or maybe all would be good to fight?

Cherry Woods
Cherry was too into following her bird and swaying it away from the bullets that she didn't really know what was going on with her body. It wasn't shoot that would pull her mind back in an instant. Instead, it found one of the shooters just as the time limit was up and Cherry snaps back to her own body. It seemed like something was different it was hard to see, was it a side effect? No this didn't happen before. Then one of the other students must have done something. Good thinking whoever was shooting would need to come down but it was harder to see, and that meant she didn't want to bring out her big guns. Which left her with only had her bag to fight with them. Hopefully, she could just stay hidden as the fighting happened.
Hmmm? Renier responded to Zylah half distracted, his eyes were focused where she had just spotted the bandit walking into the smoke. his focus quickly snapped to Zed. he answered him warmly with a bit of craftsman pride in his voice. always nice to be appreciated!
He raised his arms over his head and stretched as he began walking towards the Cafeteria. " Well, shall we get moving then? i don't much fancy the idea of still being here when the smoke clears." he turned his body a bit somewhat to look at Zed and Dusk as he walked. " And what of you two? Will you be joining miss Zylah and I?"
That voice in the back of Renier's head chimed in again. "Hey... How much do you think that ruffian's weapon was worth? Something that big with moving parts could fetch a decent bit of money if sold... not mentioning whatever other goodies he might have..." "But safety and food await us in the cafeteria." "True... but we could afford pizza.... WITH STUFFED CRUST!!!"
Ren suddenly stopped walking, a smile crept upon his face, but it wasn't a normal smile, it was a strange smile with an expression that showed a strange sense of glee and almost a look of sadistic hunger.
Ren unsheathed his short sword and began walking towards where the bandit had been spotted. "On second thought I'll catch up with you guys in a few minutes. There's something I want to. . . take care of first."
Ren seemed to disappear from the other's view as a thick plume of smoke seemingly engulfed him as he walked. the poor visibility didn't bother Ren much, as he knew his target would be just as disabled by it as he was. Ren walked quietly through the smoke, listening intently for anything around him
So... I'm thinking a meat lovers stuffed crust with extra cheese...

so it was a good time for a break, with the smoke keeping them clear of the sniper fire. Of course, it seemed weird to Z that both he and the girl known as Zylah were just content with not giving much care to the matter. Have they been in situations like this as much lately? Still, Z kind of agreed with them. Eh, sure. I kinda skipped breakfast. Z would tell Ren, according to his proposal. Dusk was pretty quiet in the back, but he knew her to be that way. As long as she was okay, that’s all that mattered to him. It was soon that a bandit had come down and changed the sniper rifle of his into this war hammer like weapon, which made Z tense up a bit. Guess it was time to fight. Those clothes... Soon, it came back to Zed that this same bandit was actually one of the guys from when he was kidnapped and made to join them. That guy was basically what Zed would be like if he stayed. Shaking the thought, he noticed that the three near him has their weapons drawn. Let’s get this ready. I’m really hungry! Z would say, as he would rush in the second Ren had disappeared into the smoke.

As the six bandiits, five clones and only one real, went further into the smoke, they began to split off from each other. One of which headed towards the blue-haired girl, Luina with a devilish smirk upon his lips. She was a tiny little thing, but the way she was standing stiff backed with such determination upon her face was almost cute. Leaning back slightly, he brought the massive hammer up and behind his head before swinging it towards her with the entire wait of his body.
A second of the bandit clones was approaching yet another female student, the dark-haired one, Charlotte. He was approaching her from behind, noting her hand reaching for the pistol holstered on her back. He kept his steps silent, noting just how on edge she was. The girl looked ready to attack anyone in this fog, friend or foe. Wielding the hammer in one hand, the man reached out with his free hand, moving to grab at her wrist.
Yet another of the clones, or possibly the original bandit, approached dusk. It seemed they would have to defeat all of the clones to find and defeat the original. As she changed her pistols into swords and prepared to fight, the bandit raised his hammer over his head, swinging down towards her like he was playing an over-sized game of whack-a-mole.
As Ren entered the smokey battlefield, yet another bandit approached him. He tilted his head slightly to one side as he looked upon the boy, a smirk stretching his lips. "So, I suppose it's you I have to thank for this smoke." He might sound sarcastic, but the bandit was quite serious. The smoke might have inhibited his snipers, but it made the rest of the game all the more interesting. Twisting the hammer around in the air for a moment, the bandit let out a harsh laugh before taking a swing at Ren.
The fifth of the bandits was waiting for a target, using the fog to his advantage. When Zed ran into the smoke, it seemed the boy didn't even see him standing there, so he stretched his leg out, tripping him with a wicked grin on his lips as he watched the student fall the the ground. Some say its wrong to hit an opponent while he was down, but these bandits didn't seem to have much in the way of morals, so the bandit raised his hammer and began swinging it towards Zed while he was still on the ground.
As Zylah made her appearance, raising her sword and effectively blocking the fifth bandits swing at Zed, the sixth one approached, ripping her back by her hair before she could lay her blow on the other bandit. He laughed as the petite, silver haired girl let out a slight yelp, stumbling backwards. He watched her topple to the ground, circling around her with a smirk on his lips. He knew Zylah was actually on their side, but he wasn't going to hold back now. It would look suspicious. Besides, he'd been looking to get a good swing at her for years. He'd had about enough of her attitude. Raising his hammer, he made a swing down towards her, only to have it met with her claymore. The blow was blocked, but only momentarily. He would only have a moment to get up as the bandit was already swinging once more, letting out an irritated grunt as he did so.

She always had that look about her, that look of otherness... ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Zylah made a move to follow Ren to the cafeteria, ready to get out of this place. She recognized this particular bandit, and while they were technically on the same side for now, he didn't like her much. If she participated in the battle, he would have to go at her to keep others from getting suspicious. However, some of the other members of the tribe might try to fake the battle as much as possible. She doubted he would do the same. Quite the opposite actually. He would likely try to get as many good hits in as possible why he had the chance. She wasn't really in the mood to put up with his games today. Unfortuneately, Ren seemed distracted by the bandit and with a short explanation and a puff of smoke, he had disappeared to join the other students in the fight.
The silver-haired girl watched as Zed to rushed into the battle, letting a long sigh pass through her full lips. "Welp." She murmured bitterly, squinting with her one good eye to try and see through the smoke. She had have the mind to turn on her heel and find a nice cozy spot to rest in the sun. However, her disappearance from a battle like this would only cause suspicion. She supposed she could play it off as fear. She was tiny and fragile-looking enough that people might buy it. Then again, she was at Beacon to supposedly become a huntress, which meant that supposed fear was something she was going to have to deal with eventually. "Hmm... looks like breakfast will have to wait." She said with a slight edge to her voice. Granted, no one was around to hear her anyway.
Without further hesitation, Zylah headed towards the smoke. However, how the others had rushed in, she kept at a casual pace, that same near-skip in her step. She entered the smoke just after Zed. She might have tripped over the guy had she not been paying more attention or had rushed in blindly. With Zed on the ground, the bandit was making a swing with his war hammer while he was at his most vulnerable. "Hey now... I won't lie. I play dirty sometimes, but this is low even for bandit scum like yourself." She stated, her honey-like voice sounding much to sweet has it spoke the insult. Her lips twisted up, a mischievous smirk dancing around on her face and a slight gleam in her one visible eye. With lightning speed, she pulled her claymore from its sheath at her hip. The great sword looked much to large in her tiny hands and was greatly disproportionate with her tiny stature, but she wielded it with great confidence. She blocked the swing before it could hit Zed, giving him just enough time to return to his feet.
Zylah didn't have time to even recollect herself before she felt a gruff hand twist roughly into her hair and yank her back. She couldn't help the small yelp of pain that left her lips or the slight flush of her cheeks that followed. She was yanked back roughly, and tossed to the ground. She rolled once before catching herself on her hands and knees, glaring up at the bandit with her silvery hair hanging in her face. All traces of amusement were gone. The slight irritation had turned into a boiling rage. "Look at you. You think you're so tough." She muttered, a fire inside her blue eyes. "Picking on kids half your age and beating on a girl a fraction of your size" The corner of her lip twitch slightly upwards, something between a smirk and a grimace on her face. He raised his hammer again, making a swing at her wile she was still on the ground. Zylah blocked it with her sword, the fire in her eyes burning brighter. "Think again." She spat, her honeysuckle voice tainted with anger. However, the harsh words still sounded odd leaving her lips.pushing herself from her knees wile keeping her sword locked with his hammer. Balancing on one leg, she reached up with the other, kicking him sharply in the gut with the heel of her shoe.

Ren turned to face the bandit. And I have you to thank for talking and giving away your element of surprise.
Ren seemed to relax a bit as he rested his sword on his right shoulder, fiddled in his pocket with his free hand, and scanned his opponent for a moment before his deviant smile turned into a look of disappointment. It appears I got my hopes up for nothing... Your equipment looks to be about as cheap and disposable as you are...
Ren appeared to barely react in time for a parry as his opponent swing his hammer at him. Ren's weapon was easily overpowered by the sheer weight of the hammer and difference in strength. In a moment, Ren was knocked sideways into the air into a tumble and then tolled along the ground until he came to a stop some feet away.
*PLONK PLONK*
Sitting at the bandits feet was a pair of grenades, the moment Ren had been certain of his opponents attack, he had pulled the pins in his pocket, cooking them down a couple of seconds before nonchalantly dropping them from his pocket after the initial impact of his opponent's weapon. Ren had shifted his body and jumped with the blow of the hammer to reduce the impact somewhat and also to propel himself away, though it wasn't like he got away without any damage. It was Ren's hope that the somewhat theatrical looking tumble he took would distract and throw his opponent off juuust long enough that he would not notice the grenades until it was too late.

Lunia watched the figures disperse in the smoke, she looked around her, making her breathing as quiet and slow as she could in order to concentrate on her surroundings. From the smoke appeared one of the six bandits, he made it evident that she was his target. Lunia looked at his huge hammer and gulped, she did not want to get hit by that, the blows that it would deliver would most likely shatter bones, or worse.
Watching his movements carefully, he arrived within range for one of them to make the first move. Lunia knew what these men were like, he would make the first move, because they were all too quick to engage. It would let her assess him, even a brief second would do. She watched the hammer raising to the sky, higher than she could have imagined, and saw a potential opportunity. Running towards him, as he brought the hammer down she slid past his side low to the ground that would end with her behind him. Lunia saw that the bandit was holding no punches, and used his full body weight behind his attack's, this was both a scary thought but also a potential weakness for her opponent.
As she slid past him, she aimed a slice with one of her blades through his side, not wanting to stab him, but more slash him, causing hopefully a painful wound. Lunia for a moment forgot about her damaged leg however, and as she aimed the slash and to come back up behind him, she let out a loud groan as her leg pulsed with pain. If this slash didn't hit and stagger her opponent, she was in trouble.
