Physical Description: Faldora is an average girl all around. She stands at 5'6, isn't terribly fit but isn't overweight, has shoulder length brown hair that she typically has pulled back in a tail, light brown eyes, and fair skin. She has a few scars here and there from life in general, the newest one a scar from Thread on her shoulder. Her favorite color is blue and she tries to wear as much of it as she can when not in her riding leathers. Her sense of style is practical, much preferring function over fashion.

Personality: Dora is a strung-out ball of anxiety. She's constantly worrying about something, whether it's little or huge, and has a few nervous ticks to show from it. If she has the room she'll pace back and forth, but if she has to be seated she'll chew on her nails until they bleed or will jiggle her leg. She double-checks everything she does to ensure it's done right and she has an incredible eye for detail, although her anxiety will often times make her do something over and over even if it's nearly perfect each time. She strives for perfection and will only rest when something is done to her satisfaction.

The only time she can relax completely is when she's in or near the sea. Water is incredibly soothing for her and listening to the waves on the shore is one way to make her ever-churning mind rest. The color blue is almost as calming to her and wearing it or seeing it helps her decompress when she isn't near the ocean.

Having her coping mechanisms by her side allows her anxiety to settle down so she can get work done that she has to do. When she can focus on the task at hand Dora is second to none when it comes to her work ethic. She is passionate about learning new things as well as teaching others what she knows, even if she has a difficult time speaking to more than a few people at a time. She prefers the company of animals to humans but can appreciate each individual for their own strengths and weaknesses.

History: Faldora was born in Western Hold into a working family. Her father was a fisherman and her mother a seamstress, both of whom worked hard day in and day out to make ends meet. She was the third born to the two and became the baby sister of a six year old brother and a four year old sister. As she grew Faldora showed more interest in learning her father's trade than her mother's which suited the family just fine. She began to accompany her brother and father out on their fishing trips, and it was then that she discovered her love of the sea.

Rivers were nice, but the ocean was fantastic. It had a life of its own, teeming with fish and other creatures, the waves making it ever-moving. It as vicious in a storm but could be calm and gentle a few hours later. Faldora loved being on the water more than anything else and it became evident to her family that she was destined to be more than just a fisherwoman. Her father took great pains to find someone who would take her as an apprentice for something other than simply riding on a boat and tossing nets into the water, and that was how she met Derrit.

Derrit was an older man who spent his time at Black Sands Hold studying dolphins and trying to better the bond between them and humans once more. Faldora was fascinated by the creatures and took an instant liking to them and her tutor. They'd spend hours out on the water, both in boats and swimming, as well as indoors reading old books and studying as much as they could. Faldora was more than ready to shift from apprentice to a true master of the craft around her twenty first Turn when an oddity occurred.

A Weyrless golden dragon had chosen the warm black sands of their island to lay her clutch. Everyone was quite excited at the prospect of little dragons running around and Western Weyr was quick to oversee things to ensure a happy, healthy hatching. They brought in their batch of Candidates to Stand once the time had come, making the island even more bustling and active than it normally was for a few weeks. Faldora, curious and eager to see a Hatching, had gone along with the group of islanders to observe the event. It was rather chaotic and quite a few of the Candidates were mauled by an incredibly aggressive brown dragon who completely disregarded those trying to Impress and made his way towards the spectators. He was making a beeline for Faldora who was too startled to move when a little blue barreled into his brother to knock him off his path. It send the brown tumbling towards a Candidate which he eventually Impressed, and in turn the little blue curled up around Faldora's feet. He told her not to worry any more, that he was here to keep her calm and safe, and from that day on the two had become an inseparable pair. Paanith was true to his word, helping the naturally anxious girl stay calm where only the ocean had been able to in the past.

Training at Western Weyr was both a blessing and a curse. She was much closer to her family and they would visit from time to time, but being blocked off from her mentor, the sea, and having to learn so much in such a short amount of time frayed her nerves to the point of frequent panic attacks and mild bouts of depression. Paanith was there for Faldora as much as he could be, his calming, soothing vibes helping her to stay on task. The exact schedule did help Fal keep some sort of sanity about her, knowing what to expect every day, and the Turn dragged on slowly but methodically. Graduation came and went and they were finally able to return to the sea. Time went on and they did a bit of training here and there just so they could fly together, but they mostly swam in the sea and continued their research on dolphins. Paanith was more than pleased to talk to the other creatures and they carried on long conversations while Faldora listened with interest. It was while they were out at sea one day that Thread returned. Thankfully it only fell a bit in their area and thankfully they were in the water, otherwise Faldora and Paanith both would have surely perished from the Thread that hit them. Thankfully they both escaped with scars and nothing else.

To this day the two remain at Black Sands Hold, studying the dolphins of the sea.

Physical Description: Paanith is an average sized blue, well-proportioned and decently in shape. Since he's not involved in daily drills like other dragons at the larger weyrs he's not heavily muscled but he gets enough exercise to keep himself trim. His watery hide is the perfect camouflage for when he's swimming, allowing him to sneak up fairly well on anything else in the water.
Personality: Paanith is a very laid back and easy going dragon. He enjoys swimming, taking naps in the sun, and going on leisurely flights with Dora. His presence is one of the few things that can calm his anxious rider and he's become quite adept at soothing her frayed nerves in the worst of situations. Paanith is a lover of all things beautiful and serene, be they sunsets or dolphins or other dragons. A true lover, Paanith is slow to anger and quick to forgive. He loves to eat and enjoys seeing new places, although his favorite place to be is by Faldora's side on the beach or in the water.
