Well, no time like the present if she wanted to try being brave.
That had gone... much better than Shiori could possibly have hoped for, actually. Maybe this whole 'making friends' thing wasn't as hard as she'd been making it out to be... she just needed to have a little bit of courage and the willingness to approach and chat with others. Still, one time wasn't enough, especially if Zombelle wasn't really going to be around past the party. (Which was... weird... but not the weirdest thing she'd seen.)

Arimina Wolfgang Arimina continued to squeeze and play with the girl in her arms, struggling as Miki was, while watching Shiori out of the corner of her eye. "Alright, my dear," Arimina released Miki with a final grope, "purification complete! Come back again if you feel anything strange!"Darting away before the stunned, embarrassed girl could respond, Arimina approached Shiori again. "Hello again, dear. You seem... Better. Made a decision, did you?"

Zombelle showing up had been something of a distraction, and Shiori hadn't been paying attention to much right before that, but this woman's voice was... a little familiar? On the other hand, 'dear' was... hm. "I guess you could say that. And you are...?" Shiori asked, not quite sure what was up with this... grown shrine maiden?

 The Hibaversary Halloween Monsters' Ball
(Trick or Treat Candy Basket Surprise Raffle!)* The Candy Basket Raffle is a 1/4 odds draw to receive an unknown prize from the mysterious host of the Halloween Monster's Ball!
* This raffle is limited (currently) to one roll per-RPer, but may be expanded later! You may choose the character who rolls.
* When you roll, make a post having your character reach into a mysterious jack-o-lantern shaped candy bowl glowing ominously by the door with a very serious-looking sign that says 'TAKE 1!' by it. Take one wrapped surprise, pull it out, and open it to see what you may win. You must roll a 1-4 roll during this turn, and should do this INSTEAD of your 1-100 roll. This still counts as one of your 5 posts for the day.
* Each roll will have 4 options: Nasty Trick (a result sure to make you wince), a Playful Trick (a silly item with strange side effects), a Neat Treat (a mostly-commemorative but potentially useful something), and a Sweet Treat (a result sure to make you howl with glee)! But which number correlates to which result will vary for each person...and you will only know after you've rolled!
* Secret Trick! If you include in your post the phrase 'Sweetest Treat' and your character says something that they REALLY wish for in the same post, your Sweet Treat...should you roll it...will have a chance to upgrade to the Sweetest Treat!
* No character can be killed by a Trick. That is all I can promise if you are so lucky as to roll for a Nasty Trick.
* After you have rolled your trick or treat, wait with that character until your response is delivered! Other characters of yours, however, may post as usual.

Lillica practically leapt out of her skin as a mysterious individual appeared....quietly pressing a piece of paper into her hand. Before she could respond to his offer, they only left an ominous clue... and she looked at the ticket..
"O..Okay then.. she muttered quietly to herself, before starting to find her way off the dance floor...Looking at some kind of Candy bowl...
"Huh..? Oh, it's a Jack-o-Lantern!" she remarked lightly, before smiling lightly, and reaching in.
She did like candy.... And, hopefully, it would be a treat, not a trick...

 Halloween parties are always the best time. Because, it is always the time were everyone relaxes and puts on their favorite costume and gets to party with everyone else. Ghouls and ghosts and goblins and other monsters were the outfits of choice among people here, and a few real ones possibly hidden amongst the midst of people. And for this one, the spirit of dance that was on the dance floor easily infected and moved along the body until synonymous with everyone else around. Was the costume worn unique or stand out best? Maybe, maybe not. But to be true to one's self, that is all that matters.

 The Hibaversary Halloween Monsters' Ball
(Roll Results - Lillica Tanimura)There was a twinkle of something...magical in the hand of the mysteriously dark young woman as she opened the wrapper of her candy. But the surprise within wasn't razorblades as your mother might have warned you. Instead, it was an orange light...shimmering, dimming, and eventually, taking shape into the form of something...a shape? A cube! Within her hand, a black candy...strangely dark but yet deliciously sweet, like black raspberries. It called out to her to eat it, to devour it, and...wait, why did she hear something calling out to her from...the candy...there's no way that it could be alive, right? Of course not. That's silly.
...Yeah, silly.
Yet...
Somewhere, many universes removed from her own, many eyes watched from the darkness...and a figure clad in yellow felt his lips curl into a mischievous smile.

"Ooooh...!" she cooed softly as she looked at the candy.... and some part of it beckoned her to eat it.
....
Wait, was it actually telling her to eat it?! Part of her worried.... But, at the same time, she really wanted that candy...
"Well..Fate's Fate, I guess." she called to herself, popping the candy in her mouth to eat it.... Wandering back out again.
'Oooh...Raspberry!'

"My chosen...my lovely, little, chosen. You heard my voice within my gift. A sign that you are...special, indeed. That you see beneath...to the beautiful horrors within all things."
Suddenly he took her hand, before she could protest. Raising her palm up towards the sky, he lowered his head and swiftly pressed his lips upon her palm...a feeling of freezing, burning pleasure twisting at the spot in a way that was almost...wonderfully horrifying. And then slowly, almost agonizingly slowly, he pulled away...his eyes watching hers, never leaving...drinking deep of the horrors now hidden deep within them that few could withstand but himself. It was all so...satisfying.
"I'm spoiling you, I know..." he told her with a grin, "But I'm quite fond of you. So don't hold it against me." Releasing her hand, she could look at the palm now...a black symbol, not unlike an Egyptian Ankh resting at the palm...but at the heart of the symbol there was a slit...like the eye of a serpent. And it shined, for the faintest of moments, a fierce gold and green, before returning to its plain, stark black.
"I hope you enjoy this...gift. And if ever you wish to speak with me again, merely whisper my name...into the crawling dark," his voice began to fade as the dark enveloped him...like a thousand grasping, writhing black hands embracing him into the void, "Yag...ni..."
...And then, with a shimmering red eye and a final, white smile into the dark, the God's surreptitious slip into the realm of Universe 10 was over. As the girls spoke, Shiori casually reached into a large candy bowl and drew something from it. "Just call me Niko." Shiori said, not quite sure if the other woman was being honest or not. Wolfgang wasn't really a Japanese name... was it some kind of character she was cosplaying? Japan had so many characters that Shiori wouldn't be surprised if she missed a few of them through simple ignorance. "So, how does a... Miko of Purification... deal with Halloween?"

Why... Why did I wear this again?
The party had a nice atmosphere, and everyone seemed to be having fun. But one person just looked out of place. Yes, he was dressed in a costume as a black cat, but... he was just worried that others were staring at him. "Please... hopefully no one is staring..." Kensu spoke to himself as he glanced around to try and see what was happening. As he glanced, he had saw a bowl full of candy, and that someone gotten one from it. "Hopefully it is alright to take one..." Kensu said to himself as he walked over. Reaching in, he went for one piece, without looking, and seeing what his result would be.

(Roll Results - Shiori Niko!)Opening the wrapper of the candy, there was an ominous single-waft of dark-violet...something from within, but distracted as she was, there was little likelihood that Shiori would notice. Instead, talking with Arimina, she would absent-mindedly plop the candy onto her tongue and continue her conversation...
...For about 5 more seconds before the realization hit her.
This. Candy. Was. BITTER!
Like, SO DAMN BITTER! An explosion of bitterness on her tongue, staining it black, filled her mouth and immediately the saliva in her mouth went to work trying to purify the unholy thing that she had placed within her mouth! It was like...black licorice and dirty bathwater! Or volcanic dirt mixed together with raw coffee beans! Oh my GOD it was bitter! She worked the spit around her mouth and yet no matter how she tried, it couldn't get the taste out!
Then, in frustration, she had no choice...but to turn over her shoulder and spit in the general direction of the nearest trash bin!
...Yet as it struck perfectly in the bottom of the bin, there was a strange sound...was that sizzling? A single trail of steam rose up from within, catching the girl's eye just long enough to distract her...from the fact that the bitterness in her mouth was finally, slowly, decreasing. But not quite fading away entirely. Quote: Playful Trick - Bitter Tongue - The ability to spit a slightly-corrosive substance which will inflict 3 turns worth of Low Damage Burn effect (but is not affected by Fire/Burn Resist) on an enemy or target hit by her spit. Can be used once every 3 turns. Tongue will turn black for the duration of the day after used.
