Taking a half step away from Enomu, Kanda’s attention slid to the winged one of the group, Leto. She gave him a wave, then pulled out her notebook. Then blinked as she realized that he’d called her by name. ”You know sign?” she questioned. ”I-it’s nice to meet you,” A bright grin lit up her face. She'd hadn't met many people who spoke sign. It brightened when she saw the vespercat in Enomu’s arms. She was glad he looked happy with his new pet. Maybe there were more around?
Kanda scanned the floor, looking for any other familiars in the area. Her ears perked up when she caught sight of something. She was quick to scoop it up, only to discover it was some sort of beetle. Hmm, well that was disappointing. She tapped on Vega’s leg, drawing his attention, then she plopped the new bug into his hand. It was questionable whether she did it to startle him or because she wanted him to hold it. Either way, she flipped open her notebook to a new page and wrote in it. ”May I pet your coatl? I’ve never seen one before and it looks so interesting!! PS. Don’t let my dad see your flitterrat.” She turned it around to show him.

Topaz saw Amber topple and rushed forward with a look of concern. She heard a strange sound, like a bleat and the clopping of hooves much tinier than hers against stone. As she reached Amber's side and kneeled she noticed a dust-colored kidden trying to regain its feet. Some of the worry left her face and she smiled a bit. "Are you okay," she asked. At Amber's nod her face relaxed and she chuckled quietly.
"Looks like you made a new friend," she commented, and indeed, the kidden had regained its feet, same as Amber, and was now curiously sniffing the Baphomet/Kirin hybrid's fur. Topaz eyed the familiar as it sniffed Amber's tails. "Best be careful, kiddens are loads of michief," she warned, then straightened back up. As she did so she caught a glint of color from the corner of her eye. Frowning slightly, Topaz turned. There, by the wall. The light was falling on a hole in such a way that she fancied something was sparkling in there.
Curious, she nonetheless turned to Amber first. "If you want to explore a bit that's fine. Just make sure you're always in sight of someone and stay behind the ropes," she cautioned before going to investigate the little hole in the wall. She peered this way and that into the darkness, wondering how on earth light got far enough in there to reach anything reflective. Her imagination, perhaps? Well, one way to find out. Topaz cautiously inserted her fingers into the hole and began to delicately probe about. Cool, rough stone suddenly turned smooth. She encircled the smooth object and pulled it out, bringing it close to her face to examine. Ah, a piece of tiger's eye. It was quite lovely!
Amber got over the shock of the fall pretty quickly. It wasn't like she'd hurt anything, and having a fine coat of fur all over her body did wonders sometimes when it came to preventing minor scratches. She was more worried about the fallen kidden. "I didn't hurt it, did I," she'd asked her mother anxiously, but got a laugh, assurance that the kidden was fine, and a warning to make sure it didn't try to eat any of her tails. And indeed, the kidden was sniffing at her and did seem pretty interested in her tails. Amber pulled kept them out of the way as best she could, smiling and giving the kidden an affectionate pat as she did so.
Her mother's attention had wavered back to the wall and its murals after she gave Amber permission to explore a bit more. She set off down the passage to see what else was down there, hearing the tiny hooves of the kidden as it followed her. That made her smile, and she had to frequently reach out and pet the adorable thing trotting next to her, as well as occasionally flick a tail away from its curious snuffling.
This place was so big! Amber found herself gazing at the wall pictures, and at how high the ceiling seemed and how many hallways there were. What in Below had something this big been used for? Had it housed an entire city of people? Lost in her wonderings and staring at the wall, it was for the second time that day that Amber suddenly felt an obstacle before her feet, cause her to go tumbling to the ground. She went down in a tumble of fur, squeaks, and yips. When she finally stopped moving she was covered in dust. There was something fuzzy laying on her stomach that was wiggling and emitting more confused yipping sounds, and she could hear the hooves of her kidden off to her side approaching. She also noted some bright colors that didn't seem to match with the ruin colors she'd been seeing so far just above and to the side of her. Amber blinked and turned her head. Apparently she had not only tumbled over a fennekit, but had come within a hair of taking out a Baphomet junior as well. It was an somewhat comical thought, the small fennekit taking her down and her taking down a junior, though for all their sakes she was glad it hadn't actually happened.
She sat up, patting the poor fennekit in a reassuring manner and groaning a little as her body protested all the tumbling. "I'm sorry," she said to both fennekit and Baphomet. "Are you okay?"

16: You hear tiny footsteps, growing louder. Is it a ghost? A monster? Oh -- it's just a familiar! You may pick 1 familiar.
Aben agreed to split up and continued to wander the passageways. Turning down a hallway, he froze, hearing a clopping noise. The first one he ran from but this one sounded like it was around the corner. Taking in a big breath of air he gathered his courage and walked down the short passageway before peaking around the corner to see what had made the noise. He relaxed when he saw it was a little Kidden trotting across the stone floor. The echos of the narrow walls had made it sound larger then it was.
"Hello, are you lost?" he asked the little creature who eyed his held out hand hesitantly before walking over to nuzzle his fingers. Aben pet the cute little creature, happy to have finally seen one.
Munching on his candy he decided to continue down the hallway. It had already produced candy so it should be safe right? However this didn't seem to be the case. Horus wasn't sure how he missed it but even with the flashlight on and lightning up some of the way he still missed the hole.
So of course his foot hit said hole at the wrong angle and twisted, giving out and causing him to hit the ground. Luckily he was pretty sure nothing was sprained or broken but he did, crawl over to the side to wait out the throbbing from said ankle.
“Kanda is our freshling roommate. They told us their name around the time we introduced ourselves. I know sign due to my dad.” Leto replied to Vega’s question and then nodded towards Kanda when she asked if he knew sign. She’d probably have to write in the notebook for the other members since he couldn’t constantly be translating but he had seen the bright smile when she had figured it out.
It was then that a light caught his attention. The fact that it was coming from a hole in the wall was a bit suspicious but ah nothing ventured, nothing gained. Plus their Bakeneko companion had a point, and so Leto looked at it.
Nope… Nope. Just a nasty wicked looking spider Leto was not going to think about. He was just going to back up slowly and go back to looking at this nice mural on the wall. Yep think of the mural. Ugh… was it crawling out of the hole. If it came any closer Leto was killing it with his canteen.
Vanna had been pretty amused all morning. He certainly hadn't expected His cherub roommates reaction when he finally had sat up.he briefly did wonder was it because he was a chimera, rather tall compared to the cherub or some mix of both. Still other an a brief amused and slightly confused look he didn't bring attention to it since he definitely didn't want to embarrass the cherub and got ready for the day.
Amusingly enough though they all ran into each other again, this time quite literally. Vanna was a bit distracted however since apparent the familiar in the cherub's arms came with a friend and said friend was sniffing and pawing at his leg. Vüsala seemed to have the situation under control so Vanna crouched down to pet the vespercats head,
When the junior pointed out the winged Naga, Odessa couldn't help but stare up at them for a little while. She did her best to write down some of the symbols that she saw since they were up too high for her to do rubbings. She thanked the junior for showing them to her, but as she turned the junior was gone. Perhaps, she had spent more time looking at them than she had thought. As she looked further she thought she saw a light of some sort but found that it was a spider. It spooked her at first, causing her to jump. She hoped it wasn't poisonous!

Kiessi had looked at the winged Naga pictures for a little while. They then mumbled a good bye to the woman who had joined them in the chamber, though they weren't sure that she had heard them. Still, they did their best to be polite before following the rest of the hierogylphs around the corner. They noticed that the vespercat had seemed attatched to their side and they were happy to have at least one companion on this journey, though they weren't sure if they should keep them being that they had so many already, maybe it would make a good gift for one of their younger sisters. They thought about this until they realized that they had made it to a corridor that didn't go anywhere.

Cass was still rather getting lost in his own thoughts. A lot of things about this trip had him frazzled, but that had been the reason he had gone in the first place. He needed time away from his new family to actually do some thinking. He hoped his sister and Tuila were okay since he had left. He drew in a deep breath, trying to get his barrings again when he thought he had heard his name? How odd? It almost sounded like Brilla... No, that couldn't be, he was obviously hearing things that weren't there. Maybe he should turn back before he started witnessing other strange things he couldn't explain.

Placing the stone in her pocket, Anu went in search of the rest of the group and heard some trip over something. Turning in the direction of the sound, she was about to head over to see if she could help when something on another wall caught her eye. Slowing her pace, she stopped to stare at the carvings before her. Nagas had wings..? She thought, only to shake it from her head, figuring it was just symbolic representations.

That's so sweet of him lol! And he srsly needs to watch his step. First rule of exploring any ruins. Well, that and don't open/read any books/chests. x:
Odessa finally finished looking at the hieroglyphs when she decided to finally move forward. She decided to go left and stumbled a little when she felt her foot hit something solid. She winced, not sure what it could be since it was so dark in this corridor. So she leaned down to pick it up. It was smooth and slightly heavy, a rock maybe? She was a bit unsure if she should really take it, but the thing had nearly taken her out. She could get a better look at it when she got to a room that wasn't quite as dark.
