He took a breather and tried to wipe his brow before remembering that he was wearing a helmet. He knew they didn't have much time and would get close to pushing the limits before they used the last of their oxygen for their return.
So he fired again.

Ugh, Kim's arms were tired, this was the best work out she had, in a long time. But the heart, the beat was changing, and so was her own. What was doing it to what? Her heart felt like it was slowing. She was feeling dizzy. Lack of O2, lack of... no don't think just keep doing. 'Getting a tad dizzy here..." she said, making sure Melvin knew there could be trouble. "This.. heart beat is, making me feel weird." Her's, or it's? She missed completely though. Not good..

Kimberly took a deep breath and tried to keep her mind focused, it was a matter of ignoring the beat. Which as anyone knew would be easier to think of doing than to actually do. No matter how she tried, it was getting to her. She was starting to feel like she was self harming.

When for the third time in a row she failed to even hit the heart. She found herself stepping back. She looked down at her hands and a wave of dismay crushed her for a moment. "What is wrong with me?"

"It....must just be a side effect. Or....or just are close proximity to the heart. We're almost there. We can do this just......just keep going." Melvin too felt winded, and there was a strange sense that if he did this, if he kept going, then it would be final. Despite wanting this, there was a sense of dread.

The thought of throwing up in the suit actually was enough to make Kim start giggling. She hoped she wasn't going to end up hysterical. She managed to end up snagging a tiny hit on the heart. Well she wasn't completely useless. "This ... Never... ends..."

Strange that she was only now taking note that the water was a bit murky with blood. This giant thing had to be hurting but it wasn't thrashing to get them out. Distracted again. While she was distracted she managed to take a selfie of her and the heart, with likely others in the background fighting. >.>;; Photo diary.
