Not seven hours ago she was telling him that she trusted him, and right now, he was having a hard time believing that. Nicholas just went back to eating his cereal but when Tegan began to gather her things for school, he looked back up. "Do you need a ride?" He asked, and pressed his lips into an irritable line across his face when she told him that she didn't need one and proceeded to walk towards the door. No. He was not going to do this. Getting up, the male followed the blonde to the door and closed the door just as she began to open it, keeping his hand firmly planted on the wooden surface as she turned around. "Don't do this," he told her. "This teenage angst, or whatever this is - I don't do it. I'm a twenty five year old man and I like to talk about my problems like an adult. So, tell me what's wrong." He connected his eyes with hers, his nice guy persona completely out the window. What he said was more of a demand than anything.

♡ Right as Tegan turned the door knob to open the door, she turned to see Nicholas right behind her. Shaking her head, she cracked open the door getting ready to leave and walk to the bus stop until Nicholas pushed the door shut. Turning towards him, she gave him a death glad and squeezed her hands into a fist. "Let me go." She said through gritted teeth, looking up at him and connecting her eyes with his wild ones. He was mad too, and when he raised his voice at her, she huffed and crossed her arms again. He wanted her to be an adult through this, so Tegan needed to be one too. Her stubborn, bratty teenage self didn't want to act like an adult. But she knew she'd lose Nicholas if she didn't soon, "Fine," She gave in, "I feel like you're lying to me about your ex texting you." She admitted, moving her gaze from him and to the floor. "My last boyfriend cheated on me, so I'm scared." Tegan sighed and took her back pack off, dropping it on the floor.

He couldn't believe that Tegan thought he was screwing around on her, let alone this early in their relationship. They weren't even official yet. "You don't have to be scared, love. I'm not that kind of person. I was in a stable relationship for eight years, and not once did I ever even think about cheating," he said, chuckling lightly at how ridiculous her statement was. The man cupped Tegan's cheek before dipping his head to kiss her lips. He pulled away after a moment, giving her a warm smile. "You see how easy that was?" Nicholas then grabbed his keys from the hook and opened the door, prepared to give her a ride.

♡ Looking back up at Nicholas, she pressed her lips into a fine line and let out a quiet sigh and nodded her head. "Just give me some time to think about this." Tegan told him, connecting her lips with his. She believed him but still had her doubts, she needed to talk to Amanda and Daisy about this, get their advice. They knew a lot more about relationships then Tegan did, she'd only been with two other guys and they were her age, Daisy dated an older guy for awhile so she should know what's going on. "It was easy." Tegan lied, giving him a fake smile, knowing it looked real. Grabbing her backpack from off the ground, she put it back on her shoulders and headed out the door and towards his car. She was going to let him give her a ride because she didn't want to be late to her first period and the bus had already left. If she walked she'd be late to her second class and would get detention for having too many tardies. "Hurry, I'll be late." Tegan called out.

His beautiful blue eyes connected with her hazel ones, the expression on his face sincere. "There is nothing to think about, Tegan. I am telling you the truth, and if you can't accept that...I don't know what to tell you." He shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly, before starting up the engine and pulling out to begin driving down the street. He knew that if Tegan couldn't get over her insecurities, there was no hope for them in the future. They hadn't even begun dating and already she was accusing him of having a relationship with his ex girlfriend that he hadn't spoken to in months.

♡ Getting into the passenger seat when Tegan heard the sound of Nicholas' car unlock, she quietly sighed while getting buckled. "You're right." She lied to him nodding her head while she moved her eyes from his to the front window, keeping quiet through out the car ride. It was awkward but Tegan wasn't sure what to say or if she wanted to say anything. Getting to her school, she waited until Nicholas got to a full stop and pushed her phone into the side pocket of her phone while stepping out of the car, ducking in it so she could pick it back up. "Thanks, bye." She thanked him not bothering to kiss him goodbye while avoiding any conversation that could pop up while putting her back pack on and shutting the car door. She wasn't sure what to think about his ex girlfriend texting him, although there was some doubt in the back of her mind that he was lying. Tegan trusted him but her mother and one of her ex boyfriend's caused her to have many trust issues. She needed to talk to her friends about this, they'd have some more information. Walking away from the car, she headed towards the table Daisy and Amanda sat.

Judging by her tone of voice she still wasn't pleased about what had happened earlier, and there was nothing he could do about it. He said everything he needed to say. He chuckled dryly and just shook his head before stepping on the gas and driving off, not bothering to say anything back.
Before he knew it, two o'clock was approaching and Nicholas picked up his phone to check if he had any texts from Tegan. Nothing. Assuming that she didn't need a ride home, the man simply put his phone down and turned to lay across the couch, lacing his fingers across his abdomen with a yawn. Part of him wondered if pursing a relationship with Tegan was the best idea. She was seventeen years old while he was twenty five, with eight years of relationship experience behind him. Though on the other hand, he liked Tegan very much. He loved her feisty demeanor. He loved her smile and her eyes.
Perhaps she was just too young for him.

♡ When school got out, Tegan headed out towards parent pick up so she could go home and avoid him for the rest of the day. Looking around the area he always parked, she groaned and pulled her phone out to call him. She was mad because her friends twisted her mind and made her think that Nicholas was talking to another girl while they were slowly building up a relationship. It was upsetting because she was sure she trusted him completely, her friends made her not want to trust him anymore, but she still did. Although she believed her best friends a little more. As she went to press the call button on her phone, a familiar voice called out he name and waved her over. "Tegan! You need a ride?" He called, standing by his car, Jason always parked in the parent parking lot because it was closer to his classes. Turning her phone on sleep mode, she shoved it into her back pocket and headed over to his car, getting into the passenger seat.
Getting to her house, Tegan let Jason into the house and the two ignored Nicholas while laughing up the stairs. She asked Jason for some advice too and he wasn't done talking to her so she invited him inside to help her out.

Nicholas eyed the two a bit as they entered the house and made their way up the stairs, before returning his attention to the television and grabbing his phone from the table. He replied to a few messages and a few hours later headed upstairs for a quick shower, passing by Tegan's bedroom on his way. He and his friends would be catching a movie tonight and then they would most likely go to one of their places to hang out. A bit tired of dressing up, the man threw on a pair of black sweatpants and a grey zip-up hoodie, leaving his hair a damp mess. He did, however, trim up his beard since it had begun to look a little bit shaggy. Nicholas snatched his keys off the hook on his way past the hanger and put them in his pocket, slipping on his shoes at the foyer. He had roughly fifteen minutes to get to the theatre which wouldn't be a problem unless there was traffic. Though, at this hour, he highly doubted it.

♡ Walking down the stairs behind Jason when he decided it was time to leave, Tegan followed him to the foyer and watched Nicholas put his shoes on out of the corner of her eye. Following Jason out the door, she waved goodbye to him as he pulled out of her long drive way, her parents texted and told her they'd get it fixed when they got home on Friday. Walking back into the house, she closed to door and watched Nicholas shove his car keys into the pocket of his sweatpants. "Where are you headed?" She asked with a warm smile, Tegan wasn't upset with him anymore, Jason talked some sense into her, making her realize she was acting like an idiot. He gave some good advice and didn't even try to hit on her or try to touch her. Maybe he was drunk when he touched her at the party. He was a nice guy, just had a huge harassing crush on her.

Her tone was warm and sweet and she had a smile on her face, which was all quite the contrast to what she had been like this morning. "Oh, I have eight o'clock reservations with Evelynn at a restaurant. You know, my ex that I haven't spoken to in nearly a year. The one that lives in <********> California," he said angrily, making his way to the door now. "Bet you feel like a bloody idiot now, don't you?" Nicholas said rhetorically before making his way out the door, towards his car in the driveway.

♡ Her faced softened when Nicholas told her that he had reservations with his ex girlfriend, Evelynn. Tegan knew he was only say it to make her upset with herself. "I'm sorry, I'm not mad any more." She apologized, following the angry male out of the door. "I do feel like one." She admitted truthfully, making her way down the front porch steps, still following him. "Nicholas, please stop." She pleaded, her eyes filling with tears, she tried her hardest not the blink so the tears didn't fall down her face, ruining her make up. Stopping Nicholas from closing the car door in front of her face, Tegan held onto the door. "Just listen, please." She begged him, stopping a tear from running down her cheek. "I'm not mad anymore, I realized that I made a mistake."

He looked up at her finally, frustrated and, admittedly, hurt. "I don't care, Tegan. Whatever we had, it's over. You're too young for me." He shut the door with that and backed out of the driveway, driving off. Maybe he had been speaking in the heat of the moment, but he was angry and had every right to feel that way. At least as far as he was concerned.

♡ Three days later, Tegan was still as much of a wreck as she was on Tuesday afternoon when Nicholas broke it off between the two. It was barely the stating of a relationship but Tegan really liked Nicholas and thought she'd finally be in a serious relationship with someone. She didn't go to school on Wednesday because she woke up too late because she cried the whole night. She knew her friends would make fun of her because she was crying over a boy that she wasn't even official with. Thursday she managed to get through school, she didn't talk to a single person and teared up a couple of times in the bathroom. Now it was Friday, Tegan didn't know what day it was due to being sleep deprived. The bags under her eyes were so bad they were noticeable under her glasses. They were so big you could fit your keys, phone, and wallet in them. She'd gotten maybe 8 hours of sleep within the past three days, she was up all night stuck in her thoughts.
Getting off of the bus, she walked down the street to her house while checking her phone. She'd checked her phone at least a thousand times these past three days, just to see if there were any missed calls or text messages from Nicholas. She even texted out a couple of text messages to him but always decided not to send them so she deleted the texts. Unlocking her front door, she walked in and locked the door behind her. Kicking off her slippers, she set her back pack on the dining table and headed up the stairs. She hadn't bothered to do any homework for the past three days either. She was getting behind and would have to catch up soon because her Anatomy grade was plummeting. Tegan was wearing baggy sweat pants, an old tattered sweatshirt and her hair in a messy bun. Heading up the stairs, she went to her room and laid in her bed, planning not to move for the rest of the day unless she had to use the restroom or was hungry.
Hearing the front door creak and shut, Tegan sat up from the bed and quietly and stood at the top of the stairs to see who was in her house. Seeing the back of Nicholas' head, she ran to the bathroom and splashed cold water on her face, trying to make her look not as tired then she actually was. Walking back down the stairs, she adjusted her hair and kept her distance from the male. When he turned to see her and asked if her parents were home, she shook her head no. "Is it already Friday?" She asked him, surprised to see him here.

x x ▐█▐█▐█XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXN I C H O L A SxS A L V A T O R EWhen Nicholas got back home late that night, he packed up his things and left a note for Tegan saying that he would be back on Friday for his money. The girl didn't listen to him anyhow; she had spent the past three days lying and going out behind his back. Taming teenagers was a trek that Nicholas wished he had been more prepared for.
He spent the next three days doing work related things, such as studying for the entrance exam that he was due to take on Monday. This exam would decide whether or not he would be taking up an internship at the hospital and he wasn't worried in the slightest. Nicholas knew what he was capable of - he had been studying the material since before the start of college, thanks to his wealthy parents who had gone out of his way to order him university-level textbooks to study from.
Friday soon blew in and around five o'clock, Nicholas decided to head over to the Wheeler household to collect his money from Tegan's parents. They said they would be home by six and he hoped they hadn't arrived early, otherwise he would be in huge trouble. He pulled up beside the curb and stepped out of the vehicle, taking a moment to admire how magnificent the home was before heading up the walkway towards the porch. His house back home, in Manchester, England, was a lovely Federal Colonial house that was built on a small hill that overlooked a beautiful lake.
His father was a major business owner that owned franchises all around England, while his mother was a housewife that did her work on the computer; she was a journalist.
Nicholas headed inside and hung up his coat on the rack, looking around a bit. The house was quiet until he heard Tegan move around upstairs. He turned towards the stairs as she came down and slid his hands into his pockets, walking towards the girl in a leisure manner. "I suppose your parents aren't home yet?" He asked, nodding when she answered. Thank ******** Christ. He nodded again as she asked what day it was. "It is," he answered, taking a few moments to look at the girl. "You look like hell," he mentioned softly, feeling sort of bad for the girl. He may not have shown it, but he hadn't taken their little breakup too well either.
