[25/25 | EVE]: making an offer/suggestion
"Some of you know the other candidates better than the rest of us do, so don't feel obligated to vote for a certain person," Eve followed up with. "The important thing is we don't let Melany get her way in Court. With that said..."
She tapped the side of her face, which was completely covered with her mask.
"I'd like to trade masks with whoever becomes our council member. As a little sign of approval from a Moonwalker, and along with that... it might throw Ezra off guard to see it. He has some kind of emotional attachment to me."

connor hill - 25/25 - helping???
"As someone who barely knows what the ******** going on beyond what I've heard over the past few hours...Whether or not my opinion matters, I agree that Adoelle should be the one." He gave a half shrug of his shoulders.
"If it's what she wants, and if weakening this cage is supposed to be advantageous to us in some way, than ya, it makes sense."

Lady: 25/25 "You have no time to investigate that," says Lady. "You need to be in the silver hall, trying to influence who gets chosen to make the decision--and failing that, who is tithed." Nestled between Eve, Leila, and Finn, she seems to feel quite safe. "I should go to the hall soon," she says. "My fetch will be there."

Chris Watts || 25/25 || Ready to go
Chris glanced at Lady when she spoke up, glad that she seemed to look better, before finally looking back to the room. It felt like some form of agreement had been formed, even if small and slight.
"I think if we've all made our choice, it would be wise to go now. It sounds like most of us are in agreement for who should be tithed as well," He said, feeling antsy. Uncomfortable, like he needed to do something.

"Anyone whom would be more comfortable trading masks with me, let's do it quickly, and anyone else as well...we'd best get to that Hall."

Marcus 25/25 The man smiled at Gloom and remained quiet as a few began to voice who should be their representative. "Alg is a good choice." He mused, looking around. "But perhaps not the best choice. You're deeply invested and deeply focused in our goals. It's likely they anticipate our and your personal aims and while normally a very good trait, you're loyal to what you stand by. That said, the best candidate to represent humans is one who is unpredictable and one they belive they can manipulate to their cause just as we will try to persuade them to our own." Marcus shook his head, pulling out the scotch for another sip. "If we send someone who they think will not bend, they will be on the defense. Our chosen representative must appear to be malleable and open to suggestion as much as they are. They are playing politics. And in my experience, government official types are the literal worst." He finally settled his gaze on Shun. "I'd rather send in someone who's had to dance to the tune of egotistical face saving officials with ulterior motives before. Thankfully, you're the type with a decent integrity." He meant it as a compliment. "Plus you're not a spy." He was pretty sure at least about the last part. Like, 70% sure Shun wasn't part of any 'special' group.

Shun KurodaIt seemed like they had a general consensus, which was good. Hopefully whoever ended up being a part of the council will be able to follow through with this plan. Otherwise all of this would end up being a waste of time. Shun didn't get up just yet. He wasn't in any hurry to get back into the Hall. Though, when Marcus decided that he wanted him to be on the council. "I doubt Melany would want me taking a seat in the council. It would be difficult for me to get her to agree with anything, even if I somehow was chosen."If Marcus really wanted to follow through with that, it wasn't as if he could stop the guy. But he didn't think he was exactly good candidate for the matter.

algernon mercer || 25/25 || okie Alg was welcome to mostly anyone being the representative and not the type to vote for himself but if the others thought it was best he could certainly perform the task. It was obvious he was invested, even more so now than when the ball had even begun, but he felt it would truly be to their benefit to have someone with an actual opinion and some knowledge representing them. It was why he'd prefer someone like Chris, Eve, Leila, Shun or even his husband (if there wasn't a chance for seizure) to unknowns or regular civilians. "If you all would like me to, and I'm chosen, I will." Alg nodded, " And our decision is to have Adoelle be the tithe. It does seem to be something of a vote so we should perhaps spread the decision around in the event one of us here isn't chosen by the masses." Everyone hopefully could agree on that much. That seemed to be it, people drifting away to go to the hall and make their choices. He did pause with Eve though and gave her a bit of a sheepish look, "I can't actually take my mask off, if it does end up being me. It's my glasses," He'd be blind. "But perhaps Jeremiah could change the appearance for me to duplicate yours." cibarium about the mask just in case

Lady rises from her people-nest. "It's time for me to go," she says. "I wouldn't wait around, if I were you. Lady Melany loathes tardiness." With that she departed. Council nominations will end on Wednesday night at 17:30 PDT View the current score here
