Kailani took another deep breath and nodded. "Yeah... we can do this together.." she repeated, forcing a smile as they were both overcoming a fear together.

As Moira reached into the hole, she could feel ridges lining the inside like large hilled bumps that were smooth and almost a bit fuzzy, they bended with her arm, and odd feeling none-the-less. After her arm was a good ways in, she could feel a spherically object in the back of the hole roughly the same size and feel of the orbs she had collected before.

As Moira moved to pull it out, it ripped against the bumps, causing the bulbs of wild mushrooms to be pulled from the stems, agitating the spores within that shot forth from the hole and into Moira's face, her eyes burning harshly. She was only able to catch a glimpse of the yellow and brown swirling orb that they had been looking for before Moira's vision faded and she was unable to see any longer.

Kailani gasped as the spores poured out and kicked up in the wind. Being short enough she was able to close her eyes in time and turn her face away. "Moira!" she called out, "Cover your face!" she instructed in a panic, just trying to hold on.

As she pulled out the orb, she smiled wide, though as the spores from the mushrooms in the hole blew into her face, her left arm moving too slow to cover her face. Trying to stay on her feet, her left hand gripping her face, her top right arm holding the orb, the bottom right hand touching the wall, she took in a shaky breath and trying to look around. Seeing literally nothing, she closed her eyes and let out a loud, pained scream.

Kailani was coughing, but still had her face covered with one hand as she was trying not to panic. The orb was getting brighter, and illuminated further with Moira's scream that sent chills down Kailani's spine and caused her eyes to tear up as she gripped tighter. "Moira! Moira, are you okay?!?! MOIRA!!!" her voice was becoming more distance as Moira felt like she was falling but never hit the ground.

It was dark for a very long while, and silence was the only thing she could hear before the distance sound of rushing water started in quietly then built to steady pace, rushing then receding, then once again. There was a faint song, one that Moira could recognize that Kailani was singing. Moira could now open her eyes again, albeit blurry at first. The moon was large but just along the hill ready to descend behind the mountains as on the other side, the sun was about to rise. Moira was laying in the warm sand on the beach where they had first arrived and Kailani was sitting next to her, looking out over the ocean calmly. The stone that Moira had been holding was gone and she now had four arms. Kailani had her knees pulled to her chest and her arms wrapped around them as she stared out solemnly at the crashing waves of the sea. Beyond that, it was quiet, and there was no lanterns to guide the way back to the village now. Just the two of them and the dock not too far from there with the boat they arrived on still tied to one of the wooden poles.

As she started wake, Moira's breathing was slow and soft, though as she started to open her eyes, her breath hitched as a few tears started to well in the corners of her eyes. Taking a moment to just stare up at the sky above her, she sat up slowly and looked down at her fourth and final Arm. Turning to look at Kailani, she smiled softly, "Hey..."

Kailani turned to look at Moira, her face showing obvious signs that she had been crying while waiting for her to wake up. "Moira... you're okay..." she spoke, her voice cracking as she forced a smile and rubbed tears from her own eyes. "I was so worried about you..." she leaned to hug her. "I never thought the tears of ithil would give you four arms... they said strength.. but who knew.." she half-joked, laughing through a fragile voice. She took a deep breath and sat back down in the same position she was in again and looked out to the horizon. "You did it... you actually got all the stones..." she commented with breath of accomplishment as she was proud but her tone was sorrowful as that meant it was the end of the adventure they were having on Treles. "...I knew you could do it..." she whispered with a sad smile.

"...now you can go home.."

Using her lower arms to prop herself up, her top right hand running through her hair and looking at the girl as she hugged her. Pulling her closer into a much warmer embrace, clearly having grown very fond of Kailani during their adventure. "I didn't think it'd give me four arms either.." Moira laughed softly, "But it wasn't just all me.. you helped me... you're the one who helped me get through this..not just my own strength.." as she spoke, she closed her eyes and let Kailani speak further, though as she mentioned going home, she frowned.

"You can come with me...expand your horizons...see the world...or just..stay with me?" She smiled, opening her eyes and looking down at the girl.

Kailani smiled as she gave her credit for helping Moira get through it all, that her strength was both of theirs. It endeared her heart but also pained her.

Her smile slowly faded as she talked about going with her. "I don't want you to leave, Moira... And I.. I want to go with you.. But I can't." she spoke softly, coming to a stand and moving towards the dock. "We should ready the boat, the sun is about to rise...." she instructed quietly, pain in her voice like she didn't want to see her go. Kailani desperately wanted to say yes, but there was something still holding her back for some reason. "I'm sorry Moira... I wanted to say yes to you..."

Watching Kailani stand, she stood up as well, "Can you at least tell me why, so I'm not wondering if there was anything I could do differently..?" she asked as she moved to stand as well, all four of her arms hanging at her sides. If she left the girl without getting to know why she couldn't, Moira would end up wondering what she could have done differently, anything to make it so she could leave.

Kailani heard Moira still speaking, tensing up as she asked why and felt a deep sense of pain at the question itself before the second part that followed made her stop suddenly. She covered her mouth with one hand as tears threatened her eyes, a wind blowing softly over the beach as she turned to look at Moira with pained eyes. Though, when she dropped her hand that covered her mouth, she was smiling.

"...no... Moira, you did everything right... I'm so very proud of you..." she bit her lip as she spoke, having the hardest time even speaking now as tears slipped down her cheeks. "The only problem is that I can't even go back to Drisall with you..." she forced out through a quiet sob as she inhaled shakily. "I can't go with you. I know you wanted me to, and honestly, I would have." she sniffed, forcing her smile as she swallowed hard. "But I've been dead for years."

She inhaled deeply as she ran back towards Moira, hugging her immediately tightly as she started to cry. "The night of isil merende... Sigen proposed to me... I was so scared that I ran away. I got lost and died when I fell from the cliffside. Sigen... my parents.. the whole village looked for me, but I when they found me, it was too late." she explained through pained sobs. "My parents moved to Drisall with Sigen. Eventually, he died too... and my parents left."

She looked up to to Moira, her eyes overflowing with tears, "I was chosen as a spirit guide to lead you to the stones. To bring them back together to their rightful owner... their protector. The gods really picked a good one this time..." she forced herself to smile as she sun began to peak over the hillside and her form began to become transluscent. "I've been reliving this very night for centuries... the village in Treles hasn't even been inhabited since the Great War destroyed it....I....I'm so sorry, Moira..." she just held on tighter now. "While I can't go with you,.... I'm at least free now... I can rest at peace knowing the stones are safe..."

Her form began to fade until there was barely anything left. "I'm sorry that I never told you... I'm sure.. you would have made the best mom ever..." her voice was so distant now as the sun was now fully visible in the sky and Kailani was gone.

As Kailani spoke, Moira stood there, a hand reaching up to clutch at her chest as she could have sworn that she felt her heart breaking, more so when the truth hit. "D-dead....h-ha.." she mumbled, looking down at the ground, the tears starting to slide down her face and drip onto the white sands below. "S-so... what I saw was everything from your last night..." she sniffled a little bit, slowly looking back towards Kailani, a little startled when she ran back towards her to hug her.

"T-thank you.." Moira closed her eyes, doing her best to hold onto Kailani before she fully vanished. Once she had no longer felt the girls embrace, she fell to her knees, sobbing heavily, cursing herself for growing so fond of her.

After another hour, the sun now much higher in the sky, she started to walk towards the small dock and the boat that she had arrived on, her face still wet from her own tears. Even though Kailani said that her adventure was over, Moira had one thing she wanted to do, one last thing she wanted to check in Drisall. Clambering onto the boat, the trip back took her a little longer than the trip to the island, though once docked back at Drisall, she looked up the hill, hoping that the one thing she wanted to be there was there.

As Moira looked up the hill, there was the house that sat alone on the hill, surrounded by the same red poppies as before, the small gravestones and the two large headstones sitting off to the side. Mauna was at the graves as she set down a various array of flowers before bowing and turning to leaving the sight and noticing Moira. Her eyes widened as she hurried over to her. "Moira, that really you? Oh heavens, you got more arms than the last time I saw ya.. It's been so long, thought you'd gotten lost and died out on that island out there..." she spoke, completely amazed to even see Moira again like seeing a ghost. Mauna took a deep breath and smiled. "Glad ya came back in one piece... I'm 'bout ta open the shop if you want some coffee an' a bite ta eat?" she offered, a bit of concern on her face, not really sure what had happened to Moira since she had left.

Blinking as she saw Mauna, she smiled sadly down at her, "Hey. I uh, not just yet - wait, so long? How long have I been gone? It only felt like I had been gone only like, a day or two.." she mumbled, her lower hands resting on her hips while she brought her left hand to her cheek, scratching it a little bit.

Mauna paused for a moment, thinking, "Well, since I last saw you, been 'bout a lil over a month now..." she answered before tilting her head a bit. "You sure you didn't hit your head or nothin when you were there?" she asked with growing concern. "Took the boat a while back and just.. didn't come back.. well, til now.." she looked back at the poppies. "Yeah, last time I saw you this was about the same we were doin, weren't we? Talkin about how you were leavin and I was up washing the graffiti off tha headstones on the hill... yeah, sounds 'bout right.. Well, except no graffiti this time.." Mauna sighed and stepped a bit closer, frowning at the visible tear marks on her face. "...didya at least find what you were lookin for over an tha island?.."

Moira let out a long sigh, well - she at least knew how long she was gone, but it didn't make her feel any better. "Well.. yeah, I guess. I also lost something too." she pause and looked up at the hill towards the graves, "Do you think...it would be okay if I took some of the poppies with me?" she asked, looking back down towards Mauna, "I just want to be able to remember someone.."

Mauna frowned sympathetically, almost as if she understood the feeling of loss. Looking to the flowers, she began to smile. "Yeah, I don't think she'd mind that at all.." she spoke calmly then looked back to Moira with a reassuring nod.
