Sweetling, ohana means family. You are family to us now lovie. And I'm not upset about the dress. I am worried for my love. I had hoped he would be back before I woke. She started playing with Solis' hair. You have beautiful hair, did you know that?

"Oh yah, Miss Daisy told me that when we played hop with rocks." Her ears twitched as she played with her hair."Thank you Miss Starr, Solie likes when you do that." As the elder woman spoke, the neko's tail slipped around her wrist for comfort. "Sorry I woke you up."

Continuing to play with her hair, Star reached back into her bag and pulled out a comb and some elastic bands. She combed the locks of beautiful purple hair and proceeded to place it in an intricate braid. It's ok sweetie, perhaps it was time for me to get up and going.

Her ears dipped low as she frowned. "Where are you going?"

Just grabbing a few things from my bag, I got an idea that I think you might like. Star replied excitedly. As long as she was doing something for Solis, she wasn't able to concentrate on Vince's not being there.

The neko girl set still awaiting Star to finish what she was doing. She began to hum, a song she had her a long time ago but couldn't remember where.

As she braided, she recognized the humming that Solis was doing and started singing, Listen children, to a story that was written long ago, 'bout a kingdom on a mountain and the valley-folk below....

Solis froze in disbelief. Her head turned as did her torso. "How do you know that song?"

Pausing long enough to answer, Star said, I heard it once upon a time...
She picked up the song again:
on the mountain was a treasure buried deep beneath the stone, and the valley-people swore they'd have it for their very own.

Solis was somewhat perplexed by the fact that this woman, in this strange new land knew something that meant so much to her. She hummed along as Star sang.

Not even realizing she started belting out the chorus as she always did when singing this song, go ahead and hate your neighbor, go ahead and cheat a friend. do it in the name of heaven, you can justify it in the end. there won't be any trumpets blowing come the judgemtn day, on the bloody morning after.... one tin soldier rides away.
Near the end of the chorus, Star finished Solis' hair. Would you like to see it?

Nodding, she set quietly waiting for her to be done with the song. Smiling she nodded. "Yes please."

Continuing the song for Lil Solie, Star danced back and forth on her feet as she sang:
So the people of the valley Sent a message up the hill, Asking for the buried treasure, Tons of gold for which they'd kill.
Came an answer from the kingdom, "With our brothers we will share All the secrets of our mountain, All the riches buried there."
Go ahead and hate your neighbor, Go ahead and cheat a friend. Do it in the name of Heaven, You can justify it in the end. There won't be any trumpets blowing Come the judgement day, On the bloody morning after.... One tin soldier rides away.
Now the valley cried with anger, "Mount your horses! Draw your sword!" And they killed the mountain-people, So they won their just reward.
Now they stood beside the treasure, On the mountain, dark and red. Turned the stone and looked beneath it... "Peace on Earth" was all it said.
Go ahead and hate your neighbor, Go ahead and cheat a friend. Do it in the name of Heaven, You can justify it in the end. There won't be any trumpets blowing Come the judgement day, On the bloody morning after.... One tin soldier rides away.
Go ahead and hate your neighbor, Go ahead and cheat a friend. Do it in the name of Heaven, You can justify it in the end. There won't be any trumpets blowing Come the judgement day, On the bloody morning after.... One tin soldier rides away.
Once the song was finished she held out her hand so she could lead her back to the bathroom to see her hair.

Solis followed Star, holding her hand as she walked through the big room. She had never seen anything so big before. She felt even smaller then she was. Looking up into Star's kind face she purred. "Are you a Queen?"
