It began as a joke, but the more he piled them on, the more addicting it became.. Who thought a mold of abs was a good idea for a snowman contest, anyway? Did they not realize what trouble they were meant to cause? Did they not realize how unstoppable a force abs could be? Gabby patted, and hummed to himself quietly. Quote: 11. After multitudes of abs were finally piled up, set by set, on this long and elegant looking snowman, Gabby finally gave it a little lamp to hold, and fashioned some hair to flow in the wind by blowing on the ice until it froze just perfectly. There. It was him... if he had three sets of abs. He was strangely attracted to it, but said nothing.

Done with the Jolly Obstacle Course, Ruilin decided that she would stop by to check out a booth or two before making her way back to her room at the Monster Dorm to shower and freshen up some. Curiosity piqued at the large and flashy ice sculpture that one didn't need any form of visual aid to spot from a distance, the kirin approached it tentatively. What was that? Was that one of the owners of this particular booth? It looked like a bird yet none of the ones that she knew of looked or even remotely behaved like that - flopping onto its belly to slide around on the ice.
Weird.
Before she could move away however, the pingu had already spotted her and came over, a hammer and a chisel pressed into her hands following which she was led to the adjacent field and to the nearest huge block of ice. Work? What work? For a moment, she looked a bit puzzled as to what the pingu was alluding to, only finally figuring out what was requested of her when it stepped forward to slap the block of ice repeatedly with its flipper before striking a pose with an expectant look on its face. How cute. She smiled to herself, nodding obligingly as she began chipping away at the ice block with the set of tools that she had been handed.

Merope walked in a way that was almost as if he was stomping, but not quite. He clenched his hands in his pockets as he walked away from his creation and the abominable swoleman booth, fuming. As soon as a pingu offered him a hammer and chisel he all but snatched them and set to work on a block of ice.

Malik followed soon after, worried he had done something wrong to the undead boil. He needed to apologize for whatever he did, that was the only logical thing. But also building ice things....Apparently today was not his day when it came to ice sculptures, so instead he would build a snowman. Yes, it would be best.

Within a few strikes of his hammer, the block of ice was reduced to a pile of ice shards. Earlier, Merope would have felt guilty over the fact that the pingu was severely disappointed in what happened. Now Merope had something else in mind. He scraped together the ice shavings into its own pile, setting them aside before he began scavenging for parts. Intent on his current task, he didn't notice that Malik had followed him. Maybe this would be better. He could collect parts and help Merope out or something! The boil would surely forgive him then. Or maybe he'd think he was trying to compete against him....he wasn't too sure either way. He just hoped he wasn't mad. Though the carrot monstrosity was not exactly what he planned on making. Part of him wondered why there were tomatoes in the area. The other part of him realized that he could use it for... yes... A sly grin crossed Merope's face as he stashed what he found alongside his pile of ice shavings. He was starting to get several ideas. Okay, maybe not. Merope held the carrots uncertainly, one in each hand. He shifted his gaze from one to the other, then with a shrug he added them to his slowly growing pile. At least he had more than enough twigs this time -- those gave him trouble the first go-around. Round two of scavenging and he could only hope something would work out better than the last attempt. "Yesssss!" Merope hissed as he held aloft the ab-mold. He flashed a triumphant smile towards Malik as the younger boil waved at him. He was going to show them. He was going to show them all....Or something like that. Merope was too caught up in the fervor of building a snowman to think clearly at the moment. Merope perked up as he found another broken lamp. He bounded back towards his pile of glowing trinkets, comparing his new lamp to the one he found previously. They weren't an exact match, but maybe... The lamp was added to the pile as Merope turned away, practically skipping through the snow as he searched for more items.
