 Matilda leafed through her textbook, keeping her eye out for anything that looked interesting. About half way through, there was a picture of a coastal city that caught her eye. The trendy purple hybrid read all of the information about the little city eagerly, her hand shooting up so she could share her discovery. "I found a city called Port Conch, it's on the south west coast of Euros. The textbook says that it's a small fishing city that mainly trades all sorts of valuable shells and pearls and coral, and that it has some super special sea creatures that live only there, because of the shape of the port and how deep it is. I want to go there because I want to see the pretty shells and a real pearl up close. It is also super pretty, and the picture in the book has a nice sunset on it, and the beaches look really neat."

 Dianthe was very excited about this assignment. It meant she could find out new places and the history behind them. She combed through the textbook, trying to find a city she hadn't read a little blurb on. It took a while, but Dianthe came across a city that piqued her interest. She scribbled down notes as she read, as she wanted to remember the key facts when she was presenting to the teacher. "I found a city called BoneBriar. It was discovered by a group of Fallen explorers up in the east of Boreas, past Death's Kiss. They didn't stay there for long when they first found it, since it was so cold. What was really cool was that they found the bones of ancient familiars there, and left soon after finding a couple to go get more explorers and better supplies and equipment. Some of the bones were bigger ancestors of the Flitterrat and the Jackalope! I would want to go there to see if I could find ancient familiar bones, but I don't think I could stand the cold for that long."

 Samara stared down at the quiz in front of her, and realized she was in trouble. She understood maybe....two of the questions, and that was being optimistic. She knew next to nothing about history, having little interest in it. She decided to just start circling answers and making things up. Maybe improv would save her somehow.

Wow. As Samara looked down at her glaringly red quiz, she took a moment to feel a little slighted that improv has so badly failed her this time. Tethys didn't seem amused; he seemed to be under the impression that Samara did badly on purpose. Okay, so she had done so badly it was almost comical, but Samara took pride in being smart and would never deliberately goof up a test. With a sigh she picked her pencil up and proceeded to once again show how little she knew.

Was she in trouble? The stern look she was getting made Samara feel like she was in trouble. She locked her hands behind her back and tried not to fidget or fade. The temptation was great, but Tethys was a Geist too and he was probably wise to any tricks she might pull. Nope, time for good old honesty. Samara admitted she didn't get much schooling in history from her family. Her reward for her honestly? A ton of homework and studying, and she got to take the test again tomorrow. Ugh.

For the first time Samara was legitimately a bit scared. Okay, she probably should have studied a bit harder. It wasn't like this was a surprise. At least she'd done a bit better this time! Still, as she walked up to Tethys' desk to turn her test in and wait while he graded it, she started bracing herself for that disapproval face adults sometimes put on around kids. She also seriously considered going entirely invisible and hoping he wouldn't catch it while he was looking at the paper, but since she wasn't confident she could pull it off unnoticed she stuck it out and waited.

Samara sat at her desk, face pressed against the wood, and considered skipping some of her next classes so she could get some sleep. She'd pulled a serious all-nighter studying in order to retake the test a final time. She'd also had an older student tutoring her to make sure she didn't slack off again. She reflected on how she'd done as she waited for the teacher to finish grading. Not a perfect score, but this time she was at least confident she'd passed.

 Laurel filled out the paper, feeling pretty confident with her answers. She spent a lot of time going through history books, fascinated by all varieties and not just on the few bits of Grimm lore she could get her paws on. It was a good thing too. She was still feeling light headed from her cold, and wanted nothing more than to nap. As soon as she handed her test in she went back to her desk and laid her head on her arms, drifting into a light dozing state.

T'kani crammed her brains out for this test, worried that being her least-liked subject, she'd completely bomb it. So much that when the grades were being handed back, she didn't dare flip over the paper immediately, just staring at it for a few agonizing minutes.
Eventually she willed herself to accept whatever grade she had received and turned the paper over, her expression turning to one of shock at the grade. 88%? That...that was awesome! She gave it a quick look-through, frowning a bit at the missed points on some of the harder questions, but she could definitely live with a passing grade for this class.

 Janine smiled as she turned in her exam, it hadn't been too terrible though she had to admit that she hadn't had a great time studying. She was still a bit iffy with some of the terminology from the book and she would probably have to either get a study buddy or talk to the professor for the next exam. But for now, she was extremely content with the work she put in.

 Popple wiggled in her seat excitedly when she found out what they were doing for class today! But... she was now facing a dilemma! She didn't want to just pick one person! There were two persons she looked up to! Nodding as she decided, she got out her drawing stuff and started on her assignment, humming and kicking her feet back and forth as she drew.
When she was done, she stood up and held up her picture proudly. "These are my daddies! They are the best daddies in the world! One of them cooks, goes to school, works, and helps me and Effie with our homework! The other one does all the same stuff, but he can't cook... so he cleans instead." she said with a giggle. "Me and Effie get in a lot of trouble sometimes, but our daddies still love us, lots! That's why I look up to my daddies!" and she took her seat again, smiling as she looked at the picture she drew, then hugged it.

 The assignment made Ezra have to think for a moment or two. He had a few different persons he admired, but never actually sat down and thought about who or why, really. Settling on someone, he began to draw as best he could. It was a bit frustrating since he never felt very confident in art skills, but he gave it his best.
Standing up after he finished, grimacing some at the sub-par art he created, he talked about who he admired. "I admire my dad. I have two of them, and a sibling, but I don't really know those two much just yet. My dad works really hard and helps me with my homework, too. My favorite thing is when he sits down and reads with me. We have 'adventures' together like that every night. He brings home a new book almost every week! He's a good dad."

 Oh gods! Another test today? This was not the kind of day that Sepphora was expecting to have at school. Granted math went very well for her, but social studies was an entirely different animal! Taking in a deep breath, she flipped her paper and began by putting her name up top. Starting on the rest of it was a little flustering, but... well here went nothing!
Some of the test came surprisingly easy for Sepphora, while other parts she struggled with. She certainly didn't remember some of the test from the study guide. After she turned in her test, she waited anxiously for it to be graded. 86... that wasn't terrible! Not an A grade like what she was hoping for, but at least she passed!

 Gwen sighed having forgotten to take Social studies last month, darn it, but she was here now and ready to take the test.. She got her pencil and looked at the paper, hoping she could remember everything she studied. Gwen sighed as her brain blanked totally..
