10th Division - Third Seat Nara Ellerose Nara arrived at her apartment, if it could be called that, at a little after sundown. It was dangerous for most people to walk alone after dark here, but not for Nara. Her very presence seemed to drive the criminal element away, much to the appreciation of her neighbors. Nara chose to live here, in the outer districts of the western rukongai. She had other choices, but she had grown up here, and was fond of the people, the neighborhood. She liked that the people here called her "Nara" and not "Ma'am". She liked that she knew where the best hole in the wall was to get a cup of tea and a sweet roll, in an alley off one of the side streets. Nara slowly removed her helmet. It was heavy, and her neck muscles screamed their thanks at the sudden relief of the burden. She set the helmet on a table beside her bed, and began to unlace the straps of her armor. Removing a full set of scale mail was an arduous task, but Nara set her jaw, and herself, to it, as if it were another of her duties. this was the way she approached many tasks. She had a lot to prove, for her own sake and for the sake of Clan Ellerose. After about fifteen minutes of hard labor, the pieces of Nara's armor hung neatly on their rack, each piece precisely where it went, with a level of attention beyond the capabilities of most in Soul Society. If Nara was one thing, it was a perfectionist. She approached every task as if her honor depended on it. In many ways, it did. When Nara was fully out of her armor, she replaced it with a more comfortable outfit, a kimono similar to that worn by most other shinigami. The normal shinigami outfit was far too casual for her tastes, and offered no protection. She lacked the skills in the demon arts that many shinigami used to protect herself, and so she relied on a more primitive protection: steel. She looked warily at the pile of paperwork that had amassed on her desk and once again, set her jaw and herself to the task before her. Nara hated paperwork. She had never anticipated that she would spend more time as a shinigami with a pen in hr hand than a sword, but that was the very situation she found herself in. Even so, she set herself to the task with the same diligence she had with any other. Most of the paperwork was trivial, the kind of thing that could be entrusted to the third seat, and didn’t need the eyes of a captain or vice captain for approval. These papers ere mostly simple requests for funds for various projects around the seretei. She put these requests aside for the moment and sifted through her papers for projects dealing with the improvement of the Rukongai. There were some districts that did not have working water, some that had shortages of food, or simply they were too poor to afford it. These were the places where Nara felt she could help the most, the places like where she had grown up. Quote: 500 + 530 * 3 words = 3090 words total

10th Division - Third Seat Nara Ellerose Nara spent the next few hours reviewing paperwork, signing off on what she was authorized to sign off on and putting aside the things she wanted to kick up to someone with higher authority than she had. She didn’t want to overstep a boundary and invite the disapproval of her superiors. After a long while of diligent work, her eyes began to grow heavy, and she soon fell asleep dreamlessly, right there on her paperwork, snoring lightly. When she awoke, she didn’t know how many hours had passed, It was still dark, and there were no birds to be heard, meaning it was not fully morning. The lamp on her desk was still lit, the flame flickering lightly, casting dancing shadows on all of the walls in the small apartment. She imagined the shadows were hollows, monsters from the sands of Hueco Mundo, surrounding and descending upon her. In her minds eye, she grabbed her sword and carved through them like butter. Like one of the hero shinigami of old. With a sad sigh, she pushed the idea from her mind. She was not worthy of her position. Her family name brought her low before all others. She was an Ellerose. Clan Ellerose had once been a high and mighty clan, the wealthy family of a great military leader. Her uncle Aarendor had ruined their name in his lust for power, and they had lost everything. She was tainted by her own blood. An Ellerose could never rise up to be a hero again. Instead, she would have to file paperwork until she retired, she knew. She looked over warily at the shiny, unused sword, in its scabbard where it always was. She had never even drawn her blade to fight a hollow. She had never killed anything with it. It was as if freshly forged, without blemish or scratch or sign of use. Nara sighed again, and stood up, wiping a bit of dried drool from the corner of her mouth. She went across the room and retrieved her sword, strapping the scabbard to her hip. She did not wear her full armor, but instead donned the kimono customary to shinigami. A simple walk did not require a warrior’s armor. And a walk is just what she needed. The night air was brisk and cool, as a wind blew in from the east, rattling the cheaply-made windows of the outer rukongai houses, if they could even be called that. She knew her own window rattled relentlessly unless she stuffed a cloth under it. From the sound of it, the other buildings were much the same. There wasless people out and about than usual, mostly drunks and vagrants at this hour. Both types steered clear of Nara, recognizing the robes. She made her way to a local tavern she enjoyed. The Hurling Hollow was a run down hole in the wall, little more than a single small room with a few taps in a wall. This was Nara’s preferred place to drink, on the rare occasion she did. Nara ordered a pint of ale and sat at a table waiting and watching as the bartender poured her drink. She was the only person here at the moment, and she was glad for it. When her drink came, she drank deeply of it, and tried to put her foolish dreams out of her mind. Quote: 500 + 530 + 570 * 3 words = 4800 words total

10th Division - Third Seat Nara Ellerose A few hours later, Nara was well in her cups. The pub was empty, the bartender wiping down a dirty table with what appeared to be an even dirtier rag. Nara let out a tired sigh. Being a shinigami was nothing like what she imagined. She had always pictured herself as some noble hero, defending the week with zanpaku-tou and spell, but instead she was relegated to filing paperwork, and only unimportant paperwork at that. Her master had trained her to follow her heart and to do the most honorable thing, but there was no honor she could see in papers and pens. At this rate, the name Ellerose would always be something to be ashamed of, and her family would live in poverty forever. Nara raised two fingers to signal for the barkeep to refill her ale, which he did promptly. Nara looked down at her hands, weathered from hard training, buth in the seretei and in the rukongai. Becoming a shinigami had been her dream, and all she had to show for it was a gaudy robe and a stack of unfinished paperwork. Another sigh left Nara’s lips as the barkeep returned with a full mug. She, again, drank deeply, finishing her ale in one go, and rising unsteadily to her feet, laying 10 ryo on the table and walking out of the pub, and back towards her apartment. XXX It was true that Yuisis was wounded from a knife wound to her back. However she was not in an awful condition. "I'm fine. It's nothing serious." she would reply to her childhood friend. A soft blush formed across her cheeks as she was moved to rest on his shoulders. A figure whom she did not recognize burst through the door, and challenged the sitting captain of the eleventh division. Grey eyes would widen quickly, and she wondered if the group wanted to be around to witness the brawl. It was then that Kazuki would mention the group needed to clear house as they did not want to be around for whatever was about to take place. An awful aura filled the room as the Captain reveled himself. However something much more worse happened, she was picked up by Kazuki. Shortly after the action, he was met with a glare. Though at the time she knew that it was best not to give him much resistance. With great effort she was able to restrict her emotions as much as possible until the pair had arrived at the Northern Rukongai. A bright red blush was plastered across her cheeks that not even her caramel skin could hide. Frustration and embarrassment had been stewing since they had left the Eleventh Division. Why he was even carrying still now baffled her, and she simply could not take it anymore. It made her feel vulnerable, and was often the reason she disliked it whenever he picked her up. "Kazuki.." His name would dance across her lips like a growl. While still in his arms her fingers would curl into a fist. That same fist would be set into motion of a collision course en route straight to the side of his cheek.

Kazuki Muramasa [ HP: 550 | SE: 230 | Clarity: 50 ] Without thinking, Kazuki had collected his wounded friend and used shunpo to escape the wraith of his Taicho. He didn't even notice the soft blush forming on Yuisis's face as he stepped to and fro.. and not stopping till they were in one of the inner districts within the Northern Rukongai. He hadn't thought about why or where he was bringing his childhood friend. "So.. it seems your nursing an injury there... have you been to Fourth Division yet?" He would ask mid transit, unaware of Yuisis's darkening blush. It wasn't till the Eleventh Division Vice Captain stopped moving that he realized the mistake he had made. The low growl of his name was all her heard before the female Shinigami balled up her fist swung. It was an attack he saw coming, but was unprepared for as he was still holding her when swung. To say it was a marked improvement based on the last hit he took was an understatement. Even from her unrooted position, Yuisis struck him with enough force to remove his feet from the ground, and send the pair of them tumbling head over heel backwards. After a few rotations, Kazuki comes to a stop laying on his back with the cute, tan skinned Sanada resting over him. Her face in his chest and straddling his lap. A soft blush crossing his face as one of his hands is pinned between the two of them. "Urgh... I deserved that. Though, Yui-chan did not use a honorific well addressing me. So dangerous...." He would then let out a hardy laugh and smile sweetly towards the female Shinigami. That was till he when to move his hand, and realized that he held... something... squishy in his palm.[ Spd: 100 | Str: 30 | Def: 50 | Sta: 40 | Int: 50 | SP: 160 ] Word Count: 795 + 290[x2.5 Interaction: 725] = 1,520

XXX It was simple to say that when the hit thrown by Yuisis caused Kazuki to fall back was nothing more than surprising. The intent to make the impact hurt was indeed present. However if she had known that the end result would be the pair tumbling across the ground she would have rethought her actions. As she felt the both of them falling, she attempted to reposition herself. It was all for naught considering she was still in his arms. After they had rolled a few times she found herself on top of Kazuki with her face buried in his chest. It was a warm feeling that made her almost not want to move. He would tease her about dropping the honorific in his name. His ability to make light of most situations was truly an amazing feat. "Forgive me Kazuki-kun. I won't let it happen again." she replied softly. It was then that she felt his hand attempt to move as it was pinned against her chest. Her eyes would widen, and the blush on her cheeks would deepen once again. With haste she would remove herself from him, and standing back up. Her arms would cover her chest as if trying to protect herself. "Captain Lane has already tended to the wound. Though she did recommend that I rest." Her words were quick to respond to a question previously asked. It was an attempt to change the subject from such a provocative situation. "However when we defeated the enemy at the Seirreitei... He bragged about Karakura being gone. Of course it could have been I bluff. I would still like to investigate it, and I was hoping you would join me." she would speak while offering her hand to her childhood friend.

Kazuki Muramasa [ HP: 550 | SE: 230 | Clarity: 50 ] It was truly a talent lacked by the more serious natured Shinigami of the Gotei Thirteen, but why would one look at the negative... like being laid out, or one's closest friend calling you out with no honorifics. Though when called out on her lack of use of them, Yuisis did apologize stating she would not make that slip again. "Nah, it is okay. After all, it is just us and while Yui-chan is cute... Yui is just as lovely a flower." His heart raced in his chest at there closeness, a fact that his friend would likely realize as she laid on his chest. This two was ruined as the brash fighter went to move his hand, and ending up cupping something else entirely. Before he could even think to breath an apology, Yuisis was up, and covering herself, her guarded demeanor returning, and leaving him in a daze on what to say to her. The cute Sanada even deftly changed the subject back to her injury, and how it had been treated but the Fourth Division's captain already. "That is good... that you got treatment, but don't you think you should follow the captain's orders?" Still a threat on the Earth would mean countless damages and possible risks to the Soul Cycle, but if his friend was told to relax she needed not to dig into more combat. "How bout this... while we are lets get lunch. You need to relax, and I know a good noodle stand."[ Spd: 100 | Str: 30 | Def: 50 | Sta: 40 | Int: 50 | SP: 160 ] Word Count: 1,520 + 250 [x2.5 Interaction: 625] = 2,145

XXX To say that the conversation concerning the topic of more familiar usage of names was most certainly uncomfortable. The childhood friend did have a point that perhaps it was okay to talk more familiar when others were not present. "Ok... Kazuki." It was much more difficult to accomplish when she was specifically trying to drop the honorific. "I guess that means you can call me Yui." The nervousness was getting under her skin, and she could feel her heart pounding in her chest. Even though she desperately tried to push away the events from brief moments ago, the thoughts still persisted. When Kazuki suggested that they get some food together, she did feel more relieved. There was nothing like a hot bowl of noodles to fill the soul. "That's not a bad idea." she would agree to his suggestion. "I just find it hard to sit back and relax when such a threat is made." she would attempt to defend herself even though she had agreed to join him for lunch. The fact that Kazuki was concerned about her well being was a nice touch that she would not forget. "I'm already starving. Lead the way Kazuki."

Kazuki Muramasa [ HP: 550 | SE: 230 | Clarity: 50 ] It was easy to pick up that the way that Yuisis spoke now was a bit more on edge as she was actively trying to cut the honorific from his name as she spoke. It was so cute, then she gave him permission to speak so closely with her. "Yui..." He would say softly, just letting her name roll sweetly from his lips. He wanted to hug her, but kept his demeanor considering his slight just moments ago. His attention was pulled from his own head as his friend spoke up on liking his idea to eat, and that she was starving. "Right on!" He called out as he reached for her hand while leading the way to the stand. It was a nice, quiet, little hole in the wall style place, and the smell of its rich broths and cooking meat filled the air well before the booth was in sight. His crystal blues turn to glance over to his friend once more before chiming in, "I get that... but we do not help ourselves or others when we do not take care of our bodies... and that says a lot coming from me... cause you know I love a good fight." The pair would soon arrive at the shop where Kazuki would push open the door for her and yell off to the back, "Hey pops~! Can you put on some tea... for two today!" He smiles warmly to his childhood friend, "The man who runs this place got all of his cutlery made by my father, so we use to come in here often, and I believe that you will like it."[ Spd: 100 | Str: 30 | Def: 50 | Sta: 40 | Int: 50 | SP: 160 ] Word Count: 2,145 + 275 [x3: 825] = 2,970

XXX Shortly after telling Kazuki to lead the way to the local restaurant, her friend would take her hand. Grey eyes would widen as she opened her mouth to protest the action. However she would stop any words that would leave her lips. Delicate fingers would interlace within his. A blush would form across her cheeks as she felt his warmth, and should give his hand a soft squeeze in response. It was then that her childhood friend would respond to her restlessness saying that he understood the feeling as he was always looking for a good fight. "It has nothing to do with that." she would reply quickly. The young woman was much more of a protector than a fighter. If she could stop anyone else from feeling the pain of losing the ones they loved then she would. She could only imagine the carnage that a being like the assassin could deliver to earth if left unchecked. The anxiety that she had felt would be pushed to the back of her mind as the smell of broth assaulted her nostrils. Saliva would begin forming in her mouth as a natural response. "Ah it smells so good. I think I'm starving more now." Kazuki would call out to the owner of the establishment to make two cups of tea. It would seem as though he was excited to not be eating alone today. Almost reluctantly she would let go of his hand before finding a place for the two of them to dine. Her interest was peaked when he mentioned that his family had made cutlery at the establishment. Yuisis was well aware of his family's profession as it was how the two of them met. Blacksmithing was a hobby of hers, and anytime she could speak on the subject she would. Although it may be more accurate to describe it as a borderline obsession. "That reminds me. I would like to make something with you someday. It would be fun."

Kazuki Muramasa [ HP: 550 | SE: 230 | Clarity: 50 ] Letting a soft chuckle leave his lips, Kazuki gives her soft hand a warm and loving squeeze. It was an unusual softness from the typically brash man. He listened carefully as Yui, his childhood friend, spoke about how it was not about the fight.. and he knew that. Despite her power the Sanada woman was a gentle soul, or perhaps it was more do to her power? "I understand." He would reply as he closed his eyes for a mere moment. As the air filled with whiffs of broth and freshly prepared vegetables, Yuisis spoke up once more to state that the scents only made her hungrier. "Oh.. me too." The blonde male explained as he laughed softly, "Trust me, Yui, this place is seriously good." Upon arriving he let his friend's hand slide from his own as she found the pair a seat, and he soon joined after her. An elderly man peers around the corner as a soft smile creeps from ear to ear, "Eh? Not eating alone today? could it be little Kazuki-kun has himself a girlfriend? A pretty cute one at that." He vanishes once more with a hardy laugh after confirming the order on tea. Kazuki tries to laugh it off a bit, but his cheeks a painted a soft pink, "Haha... that is 'Pop' the owner of this place." His browsing of the menu stops as he glances over to Yuisis when she asks to craft something with him for fun. "That would be nice. XXX As soon as she sat down Yuisis would fold her hands in her lap. The young man she was sharing a meal with promised her that the hole in the wall restaurant was delicious. There was no doubt in her mind that he would steer them in the wrong direction. The pair had shared multiple meals together, and even shared much of the same tastes in food. Although that was hardly impressive as Yuisis was not one turn down a free meal of any kind. It was then that an older man would peek around the corner. The man whom Kazuki called 'Pops' thought the two of them were dating. He even went further to call her cute. A dark blush formed across her cheeks. "We're not..." she tried to protest but couldn't find the strength to deliver more than a whisper. Grey eyes looked to her childhood friend who was also blushing. Did they really look like a couple that much? Despite them being close for so long she had never thought about him that way, or how they looked to others. Kazuki tried to laugh the situation off. Even she could notice that. The young woman was also quick to push the awkwardness away. With haste should would pull out her phone. "I should text Grandfather. He must be so worried about me after the attacks." she would say quickly. Though it was an attempt to change the subject the words she spoke were the truth. By now he must of heard of them, and he was probably worried sick about both her and Yuki. Within seconds the text was sent informing him of her safety, and how much she loved him. It was then that Kazuki would ask what would she like to make together. "Oh we have a furnace at the manor now as well." she seemed pleased informing him of the new addition. It was added after Yuisis asked that one be built. Of course her grandfather agreed calling it a birthday present for her latest The furnace was placed in such a position so she did not have to walk very far from her room to reach it. XXX "Grandfather was uncomfortable about the phones at first. Yuki and I convinced him that it was vital to keep in touch." The truth was that he did not have much of a problem with the communication line considering there were not many of the Sanada left. When the subject of the forge was introduced again she gave a warm smile and a nod. That was until he asked if there was anything she couldn't get. "You don't have to say it like that Kazuki." she would reply with a slight pout. The young woman listened intently when Kazuki was brainstorming about what they should make. He suggested that they make something small, a pair of something. "Perhaps we can each carry one of them." she would casually mention continuing the brainstorming process. It was then that 'Pops' would arrive with their drinks and ready to take their orders. She would smile to the older man while he began to take their orders. Although it was already clear that he was a visitor of this establishment often, Pops asking if he wanted his usual was more of an affirmation to that. Grey eyes widened with glee as Kazuki said he wanted pork cutlet. "I love pork cutlet! I will take the same please." she would reply cheerfully. Delicate hands wrapped around the cup of green tea. "Maybe a pair of knives?" she would then ask.

Kazuki Muramasa [ HP: 550 | SE: 230 | Clarity: 50 ] With the order of the two pork cutlet bowls, 'Pop' smirks and heads back to the kitchen, "Then I will leave you two alone and get working on these." His laugh can be heard even as he enters the kitchen. Kazuki rolls his eyes and smirks as well. It was cute to think the two of them looked like a couple... he had never put much stock in the thought, though his heart would race when they hung out. "My old man keeps saying that he isn't a Shinigami, so he doesn't need their tools, so while I got him a phone, he has refused to set it up." He would state in comparison to Yuisis's grandfather's reluctance to the device. "Speaking of Yuki-chan... I haven't seen her around lately. Is she okay?" It was a question of general concern as he knew the two Sanada were close. Yuisis's pout and scold made his straighten up after he teased her of being a bit spoiled, "Sorry, Yui.. I was teasing.. that went too far." Though the question remained on what they should crafted. He wanted them to have something unique to just the two of them, then she suggested a set of knives. Kazuki would rub his chin a bit and smile, "Actually, that is a good idea. We can craft a sister set of knives. Even if we do not use them, we could still carry them on us. Then lets make knives."[ Spd: 100 | Str: 30 | Def: 50 | Sta: 40 | Int: 50 | SP: 160 ] Word Count: 4,090 + 244 [x2.5 Interaction: 610] = 4,700
