Cyndaquil had paused and shuffled off into the nearby grass as something caught his eye. "Hey, where are you-"”CYNDA!”Sebastian began, blinking and quirking an eyebrow as Cyndaquil reappeared with a second Quick Claw it’d found, now holding both the original one he’d been given and the newly found one up on its head, giving an even fiercer… well, Sebastian thought he was trying to be fiercer… squeaky roar as he stomped like some sort of two-horned Rapidash.
Sebastian watched for a moment, whether he was amused or confused it was hard to tell, before he knelt down and plucked the new found Quick Claw away from Cyndaquil, causing the pokemon to squeak in surprise, glaring up at Sebastian with disdain. ”Cynda! Cyndaquiiiiiillll.”
"You can’t have two." Sebastian frowned. "I don’t think it works like that anyways." He started putting the second Quick Claw away, pausing and instead finding some string and giving it over to Mareep. "There actually. This’ll work just fine." Cyndaquil stomped in agitation, while Mareep just mewled, for a moment nomming the string holding the item in place before spitting it out with less enthusiasm.

Sebastian and his pokemon wandered in the grass for a bit, a Bellsprout appearing after a bit. He couldn’t tell if it was the same one from before or not but before he could make a determination, Cyndaquil had waddled forward, squeak roaring and ready for battle. Which was perfectly fine with his trainer, who also felt a bit bad about what he was about to do.
"Alright Cyndaquil, Fire Blast it."

Another Bellsprout unnecessarily burnt to a crisp. Sebastian gave a nod of approval, the sound of rustling from the trees above catching is attention. Another wild pokemon appeared; one he’d never seen. It looked a lot like a purple monkey, save the rather odd hand-looking part at the end of its tail. Sebastian frowned and pulled out his pokedex, quirking an eyebrow as it identified the Aipom.
"Well that’s … definitely new…," He glanced back at Mareep, gesturing it forward to fight. "Alright your turn." Sebastian watched the pokemon mewl, rushing forward in response but not quite quick enough as the Aipom struck first, slapping dirt up into the sheep pokemon’s face in response.

The Aipom had given Sebastian some concern, with how tough it’d looked; but luckily it didn’t seem interested in actually trying to attack, instead pulling cheap tricks like dirt flinging and tail whipping. Luckily, Mareep wasn’t fazed either, instead ramming its little wooly body into the monkey type pokemon with exaggerated force whenever given the chance.
Once the Aipom had fled, clearly upset that it’s cheap tricks had gotten it nowhere, another wild pokemon wandered in. Another Bellsprout. If it were possible for a guy like Sebastian, his sympathies for the plant pokemon would’ve been completely diminished by now. Luckily for it, and probably a majority of the pokemon on the face of the planet, his sympathy pool was vast and would likely not deplete any time soon. Well… except for ghosts. Ghosts got no sympathy.
While it would’ve been better to finish it off with Cyndaquil, he kept Mareep out to handle it instead. "Alrighty, go ge-," Sebastian blinked and glanced around, looking over his shoulder and frowning at the sight of Mareep nomming his tail end. He yanked it lightly out the pokemon’s mouth, holding it of reach and pointed at the Bellsprout. "Stop it and go tackle that Bellsprout."”Mareeeeeep!” The pokemon mewled, slightly distraught before following the order and charging for the wild pokemon in question.

Wow. That had to be the first fight ever that one of his pokemon had taken a hit. Sebastian honestly wanted to be amazed… maybe the other Bellsprout’s would’ve done the same if they hadn’t been burnt to a crisp… but of course Mareep did not at all seem happy over it. With a sort of hurt pride look is walked over, eyes wobbling with tears and it plopped down next to him.
"Aw… don’t be sad. You beat it, didn’t you?" He frowned, kneeling down and digging in his bag for a couple of potions. Mareep still looked sad, immediately nabbing Sebasitan’s hair and chewing at it lightly as though it were some sort of comfort toy. Sebastian frowned and sighed, shaking his head and just using the potion’s to get Mareep back to a proper healthy state, the pokemon seeming to sober up from its unnecessary sorrow as he did. Spade just watched the interaction and twitched, Cyndaquil too busy pretending in its own universe to apparently be some fierce beast, the huffs of smoke he'd producing randomly at some point becoming actual small spouts of embers. Sebastian was fairly certain he'd just learned a new move.
”Hey mister!” A voice suddenly chimed, from close-by. Sebastian blinked, glancing up to spot what looked like a young boy, his arms crossed over his chest with his hat backwards, a sort of smuggish grin on his face. ”Those your pokemon?” The boy inquired.
"Hm? Oh… yes they is." Sebastian responded, standing up a bit, though not too well with Mareep still clamped on his hair, Spade pretty much clinging to his leg with the arrival of the boy and Cyndaquil being Cyndaquil, giving a squeaky roar and holding the make shift horn on his head. The boy grinned, eyes seeming to gleam. ”They don’t look to tough you know. I bet you just started, huh?”
"I don’t know, they’ve done well enough." This kid was a little rude, wasn’t he? Not that he wasn’t accustomed to such things. He tilted his head a bit. "Well yes I did kind o-"”Great! Want to battle?!” The boy interrupted, the gleam in his eye all but shining full force now. Sebastian quirked an eyebrow. Well, his pokemon were healthy, Mareep as well from the potions. It’d been a while since he’d battled another trainer though.
"Alright. Sure." It was good practice after all, and he needed it.

The young boy smirked, pulling out a pokeball. ”Alright! I’ve got six pokemon.” Sebastian stared blankly a moment. "I’ve only got four." He remarked back, causing the boy to give him a sort of ‘are you serious’ kind of look.
”Well then I guess this’ll be easier than I thought.” Sebastian just sort of frowned, folding his arms over his chest. The boy threw out his first pokemon; something he didn’t recognize. He whipped out his pokedex and learned about the Chinchou, a frown crossing his face as he squinted at the strange looking pokemon. It had crosses in its eyes, like what’d you’d see on batteries, but it looked like a fish…? Did that make it water or… he knew there were dual types out there. Maybe this was one of them?
Not wanting to risk it he looked back and gestured Spade forward. "Alright Spade, start it off. Use Crunch!" He ordered, the Mightyena giving a twitchy nod and charging the odd pokemon. Unlike with the wild pokemon, Sebastian had no intention of going easy on some trainer, especially one who for some reason seemed to think he’d be an easy win.

- The boy just frowned, returning its swirly-eyed fainted pokemon to its ball. ”Beginner’s luck.” He remarked in a tight tone, just receiving a frown and a raised eyebrow. Sure, beginner’s luck… except he wasn’t really a beginner. He kind of knew what he was doing. He had a feeling this kid didn’t however, but he was going along for the ride.
The boy pulled out another pokeball, tossing it out and releasing yet another pokemon Sebastian had never seen. It looked like a sort of… fairy? But made of rock. The little headdress on its head with the diamond pink diamond was actually rather eye catching. The pokedex said it was a Diancie. Sebastian tilted his head. Okay that had been a tough one. Spade was both twitching and wincing from the battle with the Diancie. Sure, he’d grown stronger, but that still didn’t help against the throwing of rocks that had occurred.
The boy was gritting his teeth as he returned the fainted pokemon. He seemed to consider something a moment, eyeing the pokeballs on his belt before grabbing another and tossing it out. Now this was a pokemon that Sebastian recognized. An Abra and a week looking one at that.
"Spade, take a rest." He called, The Mightyena twitching and glancing back at his trainer with a nod, moving back. Sebastian looked back at Mareep, motioning him forward.
"Okay your turn. Just tackle and get it over with." Seriously, this Abra probably wasn’t going to do much. ”Mrrrppp!” The pokemon remarked, spitting out the hair and galloping forward and at the Abra with proper zeal.

It was a breath of fresh air taking down the Abra without any problem. The boy returned to pokemon, unphased by the situation. Sebastian was getting the feeling that the last of this kid’s pokemon were either something to fret over or not that amazing.
”Don’t look so confident! I’ve still got some good pokemon you know.” He remarked, unleashing another pokemon. Once again, another one that Sebastian didn’t recognize. The pokedex called it a Whiscash. Another fish looking type… that apparently wasn’t fully fish. This was actually getting a tad bit agitating. Still, he opted to keep Mareep in the battle. Really, that was the pokemon he needed the experience on.

Another pokemon down. Almost done. Sebastian had started easing up over the battle; this kid was clearly all talk, just looking to pick on helpless newbies. At least… until his next pokemon showed up. Sebastian could’ve sworn the air got heavier the minute the gigantic pokemon appeared, hovering in the sky like some menace.
Cyndaquil had stopped stomping around like some dragon to stare, Spade just twitching as he lowered to the ground and stared up in what looked in a disturbed manner. Even Mareep seemed slightly, startled, backing up a few steps and mewling at the sight. Sebastian almost missed what his pokedex called the thing, too caught up in wondering where this kid had gotten his pokemon from. He looked back to the screen briefly. An… Yveltal? Had it mentioned something about destruction? Was this kid running around with a world ender pokemon? Now who let that happen?
”Impressive, huh?! You scared yet?” Sebastian didn’t really have anything to say; he wasn’t sure what to think. There really were a bunch of new pokemon weren’t there? Who knew a decade could change so much. He stared at the information a moment longer, looking over at Mareep who was looking back at him with uncertainty. It was rather small compared to the boy’s dark-flying pokemon.
He just focused his gaze on the sheep, giving a sound nod. "Use Thunder Shock."”Ma…reep?”"It’s fine. You’ll be fine. Just go ahead and use it." He replied, not a sound of doubt or even concern in his voice. He really didn’t know what that was after all… he just needed to defeat it.

And of course just like that, Yveltal was down. Well that was certainly easy enough; all his pokemon seemed startled by the act as well as the boy but really, what had he expected? Flying didn’t handle well against electricity, gigantic or not. The boy however seemed slightly horrified. How was some guy with braid beating him with a Mareep that ate anything, a twitchy Mightyena and a Cyndaquil who this entire time had been playing pretend? Actually no that was wrong, at some point, he’d briefly fallen asleep. Still. The kid only had one pokemon left.
Through gritted teeth he tossed his last pokeball, unleashing the final of his team. Sebastian hadn’t even bothered lowering his pokedex, learning about the Quilladin the moment it appeared. Despite the absurdity of it all, a majority of his team was being put to work and getting the training they needed. He ushered Mareep back, pointing at Cyndaquil and sending him forward.
"Alright, let’s finish this."”Cynda!” The Cyndaquil squeaked, stomping and ready to go. This would be over quick and easy. The boy could tell and so could Sebastian as he gave the order. "Fire Blast it."

Her arms laden down by bag's of supply's shes gotten for the journey it seemed. Most weren't to heavy on their own but put together and they added up fast. She wondered how the young girl had even gotten the bags here on her own. Helping to lift the bags into the wagon and setting them just inside the wagon by the nailed down table before stepping back outside to find a cheering girl dancing around once more. "So did you get everything you needed then?" Suddenly a flower like pokemon bolted from the near by bush's being chases closely by Milotic spraying a beam of ice behind the tiny thing and having a hard time catching the slippery little pokemon. Milotic was covered in red welted lines where something had attacker her looking quite annoyed in the whole affair. The flower pokemon lashed out with a long green vine missing only to be struck by the ice attack at long last and leaving the long serpentine pokemon to now loom over its beaten prey. Triumphant in her victory over the pesky pokemon, Milotic now teasingly tipped the frozen pokemon over before Ninetails intervened to melt the ice with a soft heated flame. Standing between the serpentine pokemon and the grass-type until it was loss enough to escape back into the under brush. Ninetail didn't even seem moved by the whole event and promptly returned to her place at the wagons wheels. Milotic on the other hand was joined by Dragonair who seemed quite annoyed in the marks left by the tiny grass pokemon.

"Well that was interesting" commented Sonoko who has taken to simply watching the short lived battle seeing no reason to intervene considering. She watched now as Dragonair lorded over her friends battle welts obviously concerned for Milotic who seemed more content in the attention she was getting then concerned for the welts. "Huh i wonder." She'd noticed this level of attention betwen the two before and had thought little of it, but it was becoming more and more common between them as time passed. The kid put up a massive fit about losing, which anyone else would’ve viewed as a mix of pathetic and humorous. Sebastian was too busy however, looking at his pokedex, trying to figure out about the pokemon the kid had had that he hadn’t recognized. He was still fairly certain the device had mentioned destruction of some sort…
He had half a mind to ask the kid exactly where he’d gotten his pokemon from and if maybe just maybe, he could get a proper scan of them in the event the kid was just a straight up liar about it. He was certain one of the professor’s would be interested in the data at least.
After some convincing and talking and another temper tantrum or two, Sebastian managed the scans for Diancie and Yveltal; both seemed to catch the focus of his pokemon the most and so he was relying on this instinct alone to judge their worth. The kid darted off in the opposite direction, shouting something along the lines that Sebastian would regret what he did.
"Alright then, thanks for the battle!" He called after, giving a little wave as the boy disappeared from view. This was certainly some way to start off his journey…

Well with all that said and done, Sebastian considered his next course of action. A trip to the pokecenter seemed like a good idea, but after some thought he realized that really only Spade had been hurt in the battle with the boy. Some potions would fix that up right quick and they could take a few more wild pokemon before actually heading back.
"Come here, Spade." He remarked, digging out a few potions as he knelt down, the Mightyena approaching and taking a seat in front of him, twitching and shaking his fur out as the healing potions took their effect.
Cyndaquil and Mareep seemed to chat with one another as Sebastian took care of Spade. A series of Mareep’s mewls and Cyndaquil’s Cynda-squeaks suggested some kind of dynamic conversation; maybe about the trainer battle? That or Cyndaquil was demanding the second quick claw back and Mareep was demanding some kind of edible compensation. Sebastian couldn’t quite tell; he didn’t speak pokemon very well and well… he’d come to notice the one’s he had weren’t the easiest to understand.
Oh well. Hopefully time would help with that. He gave Spade a pat on the head once he indicated he was all good to go, ushering his team along towards the grass again for further training.

It didn’t take long before they encountered another wild pokemon; a Mareep in fact. Sebastian’s Mareep didn’t seem too phased at the appearance of his fellow pokemon, too focused on trying to catch the braid once more once his trainer had stopped moving. Cyndaquil seemed confused, looking between the two Mareep with a look that seemed uncertain.
Sebastian just nodded, looking at Spade and giving him the go ahead. "Alright Spade, use Crunch and take it down." A twitch and a gruff bark and Spade was off to do just that.
