The hatching was proceeding incredibly well. The two greens tussled, but no one appeared injured. One green headed to the healers for a bit then picked a candidate. Vos watched the other green clean up as if the whole thing had been her idea. Silly vain creature, she thought so Tiaeth could hear.
He gave a rumble much like a chuckle. It never hurts to be clean, and one always feels better afterwards. Both he and his rider enjoyed the feeling right after finishing getting clean.
Luckily that one bronze hadn't been a fluke. Several more made their appearances and impressed quickly. "Quite odd, three bronzes and yet only two browns." Something about the sire, or just random chance? Still that answered the question without a doubt; blues could produce bronzes. Now what about golds? Wouldn't that be putting the eggs with the tunnelsnakes.
"Well hopefully the new weyrleader will follow through on her promises." Vosin would be watching closely. She gave a glance to Ra'fe, then nodded thoughtfully. "Aye." Were they ready for it? She glanced at her siblings and decided with them they were ready for anything. The last dragon was quick to make his selection and that was the end of the hatching. Vos stood up straight and give a spine cracking stretched. "Well! That was entertaining and all, but what say you that we go get a real breakfast now?" She grinned at those around her.

It was almost disappointing one or more of the candidates didn't get the bright idea to stop the quarreling greens. Still they sorted themselves out right enough and the winner brought the mangled remains of the cane over to one of the healers. Interesting. Several more down and newly impressed dragons demanding meat from their new riders. Kia dutifully brought them their buckets.
The sole bronze so far approached the tables and she plunked a full bucket on a table in the approximate spot where the pair would end up. Assuming they didn't deviate. Not that it mattered to her. Kia paused and straightened up to sweep her eyes over the candidates and dragons still on the sands. At last the end came and a lone brown wandered the sands. He seemed quite a bit more uncoordinated than the others. Eventually new dragons stopped coming over, and Kia double checked that those who'd Impressed earlier and were still hungry got another round of meat. Almost done then she could go get something to warm her belly too!
