Rocking back on her heels, America tried not to get her hopes up at Shiloh's gesture, but totally did anyway. The girl continued her people watching and her eyes landed on Sasha for a few brief moments, and wondered if the creeped-out feeling she was getting was coming from her or if Lawrence was lurking somewhere nearby.
Then, noticing the covert and not so covert glances sent that way, checked out Cee's butt as well. America gave an approving nod, girlfriend musta been doing lunges recently.

Tuck lifted Heidi's hand up to his lips to press a quick kiss to her knuckles before shooting Evan a look that promised retribution.
"Yeah, I remember. s**t."
There was color high on his cheeks, and he was half-tempted to disengage so that he could find Stormy.
"Oh yeah, Id' totally be jealous good call." She stated as she pursed her lips as if she was acknowledging a simple fact. She looked around watching everyone moving around and talking. She watched as the small brightly colored girl pushed her way through the crowds. She chuckled and shifted herself to the side so she wasn't facing Zascha but wasn't could see him and keep an eye on everyone else easier. "Well, I could do that." She commented as she grinned at him, she was certain that he wouldn't be a big fan of that though.
She shifted her weight and then looked around. "I know, you're right." She nodded as as she looked down at her feet kicking the dirt a little as she did. "I wonder when we're getting this show on the road." She laughed and looked around. "Maybe some one around here knows?" She looked up as him, she knew he wouldn't have the answer to that question but at least she tried.

He had to hold back a grin.
Zascha didn't see anyone that looked like they were in charge at the moment standing about. So until then he really had no idea when things were going to get started or what it was that was waiting to be started. "No clue. And probably not if they all came here after receiving the text. I believe we should expect an appearance here really soon though." He hated just standing around.
Plopping a gloved hand on top of Harlow's head he gave her a reassuring smile. Even if she couldn't see it from her position. "I know its horrible only having me to hang around with. Perhaps you can come up with a group activity or something later. What do they call them now a days? Soda pop socials?"

"Why thank you," America drawled, pleased she was no longer a shivering, pained thing in a sad little infirmary bed. "It's nearly my anniversary, you know. Almost a year since waking up here." A bright smile, "Can't say I regret much about it." Just the one thing, really.
She looked the woman's figure up and down, noting the new coat, "And I see you're due a congratulations in turn. Gotta say, at first I figured you were already ranked up, given how thorough that thrashing was." America rocked on her heels as she spoke, no anger at recalling the spar. It still filled her with a certain unease, but the actual loss was just one of many, so very many from when she was a trainee.
"Oh, well. I do adore sparring. We should go again sometime, hmm? What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger, wouldn't you agree?"
Sasha had the quick, obscene thought that she much preferred America in the confines of her infirmary bed. This robust and confident America was not nearly quite as appealing as the bed-bound, battered girl had been.
"It's been so very lovely chatting with you, America. Do be safe, won't you?"

Al was present, silent and blended into the crowd, but there. He was watching. He was also thinking.
Noemi took a moment to look at everyone, but then held her arm tightly around Milo's, just in case he thought about leaving her with the large group of incoming strangers.
"This is Milo!" Noemi offered quietly, looking at Heidi to which earned Cee a hand squeeze. Another girl. She was cute too and very pretty and much...oh yes like an Elf! like Lord of the rings elf!
Instead she did her best impression of using Milo as a fullbody shell. Yes.

Sasha blew the man a kiss as she disengaged herself from America.
About to return the sentiment in kind, America caught the motion and finally noticed Lawrence. Pleasantries frozen in her throat and expression wary, she instead gave Sasha a wry little smile and vague, "Stronger indeed."

There was probably something wrong when Mark showed up first, though for those who didn't know him or really, know how to look out for him, it was just another addition to the motley party of slightly less hygienic peers.
Oz and Zoe showed up next, both of them carrying what looked like an oversized icebox between the two of them, dropping the whole thing on the sand with a small thud. It remained sealed, and neither of the two seemed at all interested in opening it, both of them instead taking seats on top, Zoe making sure that not a single bit of bright sunlight reached past her darkest umbrella of darkest night.
It was about 10:15am before it was getting to be pretty late, as Mark kept on nervously checking his laptop and cellphone simultaneously at the same time. At around 10:30am, Zoe had propped open a second umbrella, and at around 10:45am Oz was helping himself to a second layer of SPF 50 sunscreen, and the Death assistant had somehow disappeared, laptop, cellphone and all.
At 11:00am, finally, the Death lead showed up, looking pretty much like whatever it was Death leads of the decade looked like. Despite his blatant tardiness, it was pretty obvious he still thought he was in the right (as usual) and was sure everyone assembled did not fit the competent bill at all (as usual).
"I want everyone to form small teams of two to five Hunters," he hadn't even explained what the mission was before snapping orders, and it didn't seem like he was in the mood to entertain why they suddenly had a buddy buddy system, "groups should be no larger than five Hunters. Our more competent teams have already secured all Hunters contaminated into holding cells. It is you and your team's responsibility to neutralize them. Each team is responsible for one holding cell, if you ******** up the correct order, if even a single ******** contaminant escapes, then your team will have singlehandedly caused a global viral outbreak." Count on Caelius to be extremely optimistic.
"I requested competent Hunters because anyone with weakness will be highly susceptible to virus infection. During your escort, if one of your team shows defects or if your given prisoner escapes beyond your control, it is your responsibility to neutralize them in whatever way possible. Consider weapon tablet retrieval the next priority, as well as any retrieving supplies carried. If you see a ******** threat, resolve the ******** threat. I hope I make myself very clear."
There were actually still a lot of gaps in the explanation, other than the extremely detailed recount of how much viral apocalypse would happen if one <******** up, there was no actually explanation of why this was even happening, though perhaps that was part of the competency regiment. As it already mentioned there was a team prior, it meant quite a few things, for example, that it meant this current team was far more disposable than the one prior, though it also terrifyingly explained why there were infected Hunters in the first place.
Without another word, the Death lead turned to leave, Oz and Zoe belatedly in tow with the giant box of whatever it was or maybe just a really large coffin between the two of them, Mark nervously looked at the rest of the team before entering as well.
They arrived in a large, well-lit hallway, dank however, and very old. Paint was easily crumbling off the cement walls, there was the obvious smell of mold and mildew, and it was obvious in some places that there was no floorboard but simply large gaping holes of where floorboard had been. The current room would have been even more lackluster had it not been littered with rows of rusting metal beds. Just the frame of the beds, some of the beds stacked in a corner, others piled in half-rows. There were two windows to one side, too high to reach, sealed with rusting iron bars. There was also a grate on the same wall as the windows, just in case people really liked grates for some reason.
"Over here!" Mark, and a few distinguishable Death and Life Hunters were pouring over a large panel, a series of five displays. Each of the screens on the display showed a different room. He wasn't talking very loud, but his voice carried across the entire room easily. "All right, so we're here." He pointed at the screen in the center, which displayed diagram layout of the entire area, conveniently labelled.
"This is the surveillance room, room A on the first floor, and the decontamination room is room B. So we're gonna do floor one first, one cell at a time. After all those cells are cleared out, we'll move to floor two." There was a loud muffled bang across the room at the far exit wall, and he licked his lips nervously, "So decontamination process has two parts, you have to move them to room C first, that's the freeze room, it'll slow them down so they don't like, destroy all our equipment in room B. Once you've walked through room C, you'll get to the actual room B, where you just like, tether them in this holding container here," he pointed to one of the screens labeled Room B, which just had an empty cell. "Once you have them secured, make sure nobody else is in the room, press the button and wait for the door to open. We programmed thirty seconds for you to get out, then the doors will close behind you, and anyone in the room will be hosed down and decontaminated, and then we'll repeat the process once they're taken out of the room."
The Life Hunter next to Mark kept on making weird faces at him, and it was obvious she was trying very hard not to correct his slightly less accurate terminology every third word he said.
"And last thing, before you guys get into your groups and stuff," the Death assistant continued, obvious to the fact that he definitely wasn't going to get a date with any Life Hunter anytime soon this century, "you know this is like, well, you gotta like not touch anything. If you get scratched or bitten, let one of us know immediately, the virus only takes thirty minutes to spread into your body with the first symptoms and two hours tops before it's uh, you know-" he scratched the back of his head nervously, "I mean like, if you're healthy and like your Fear shield is okay, which I don't see why it wouldn't be, there's no problem at all, just like take turns okay. But yeah, let us know on the camera, signal to us or something on the screen whatever room you're in just in case you got bitten and start coughing up blood and umm, bleeding from your eyes, skin peeling off," he started trailing off very quietly as he listed continuous worsening symptoms including eating the flesh off other Hunters, "but yeah! It's not like that would happen or anything." Nervous cough and then awkward silence. "Just follow the instructions ok."
There was a loud buzz in the room, and the doors swung open on the far end. It was their cue to start.
"Don't forget," Mark's voice squeaked over the speaker system, "teams of two to five. Pick one cell at a time. When you're ready, and the team before yours is done, I'll open your cell. Stay there until your cell number called. Stay there until your cell number is called."
OOC: DECONTAMINATION
PART 1 : DECONTAMINATION
exclaimWHILE THERE IS A PROCESS TO EVERYTHING DURING THIS PHASE AND THE PHASES FOLLOWING RANDOM GM ENCOUNTERS AND EVENTS MAY HAPPEN.exclaim If you see yourself quoted by me, just rp accordingly with that character to this new event to the best of your capabilities while handling all the steps below. You can do it.
gaia_star STEP 1 : Pick a team of 2-5. If your Hunter is alone, at the top of their post IN BOLD RED MARK IN OOC THAT THEY ARE SOLO . This will let a Hunter group with less than 5 people know to either pick you up (quote you in/ icly interact) OR for solo people to get together to form a group (just interact/quote that other person). You may cross out/ edit your post once you are not solo if you find a team. If there is still someone posting solo for a long period of time, a GM will try their best to group you into an existing group. PLEASE BE AWARE you may have an addition to your group as so we don't have people straggling and feeling left behind! This will happen ICly via instructions (ie: Mark being like so and so go to X cell to help out).
gaia_starStep 2: You may pick any room from [ Rooms 1 - 25 ]. Seriously, there are 25 rooms, so don't be too concerned with claiming the best room number ever. Everyone on your team assembled at that room should IN BLUE STATE WHAT ROOM NUMBER THEY ARE IN AT THE TOP OF THEIR POST. This is to let other rpers know that that room has been taken/ etc etc. Once everyone is gathered in that room, they will only be able to interact with people from that room for this portion of rp. When you are doing all the steps below, make sure you still STATE WHAT ROOM NUMBER YOU ARE HANDLING until THE STEPS BELOW ARE COMPLETED. When completed, just mark that you are BACK IN ROOM A and you can mingle with anyone else done in room A. When your team is ready, you guys can go ahead and step into the room, or just step into the room whenever anyone is online and start moving forward. Make sure to help your team members out you mark at the top of your post in ooc [ YOUR ROOM NUMBER - YOUR CURRENT LOCATION ].
gaia_star Step 3: Once inside the room, your can start the "quarantine" process. ICly this happens at different intervals unique from each other. So, even if room 1 is posting their quarantine rps, and a team member afks or they stop posting, you can still, as room 5, press onwards. ICly they will be considered separate rp incidents isolate from each other ie: room 1 already went, and now you are going as room 5.
gaia_star Step 4: Your team will consist of MULTIPLE HANDLERS and ONLY ONE NAVIGATION GUIDE. Multiple handlers will make this easier. The room itself is an isolate room and inside is a infected patient chained to the chair. First, you must remove the chains so you can move the patient out.
gaia_starAll Handlers must roll 1d4 to remove the chains: There are four chains on each side, so you need to do this four times, spread between your rpers that are handlers. Match your dice roll to the results below:
1) You remove one of the four chains and you hear a loud snap, as the infected patient begins to foam at the mouth and convulse 2) You remove one of the four chains and the infected lunges towards you, snapping their teeth at you. They have lost all coherence and continue to salivate 3) You remove one of the four chains and the infected coughs, spitting blood all over you. Hopefully you didn't get any in your mouth.... 4) You remove one of the four chains and the infected stirs, repeatedly repeating the word eat over and over and over. They seem to have lost their mind.
gaia_star Step 5: Room C
Next the navigation guide will listen for instructions. Once the chains are secured, the whole team, holding the chains for security, will move the patient to room C. At room C, there is a quarantine check. They must stay in the room until the patient slows down. They need to roll 1d4 and check to see how bad the patient is, reporting to the camera. The temperature in this room is very, very cold. Keep on rolling until you get the 4. If you have to roll more than 5 times, you can just auto skip to the next part.
Roll 1d4 until the patient is subdued. 1) The patient is not subdued and talks about a great hunger. They try very hard to gnaw at their own arms. 2) The patient is not subdued and begins to convulse. 3) The patient is not subdued, there is something wrong with their eyes, which are a sickly green. 4) The patient is subdued, their movements have slowed down. It is time for them to move to quarantine.
gaia_starStep 6: Room B
The next part involves both the navigation guide and the handler(s). Both need to tether the chains down to the floor as the navigation guide presses the button and sets the countdown as the doors open. As they turn to leave, this may excite the prisoner in the room, as they struggle against the chains. All occupants in the room must roll 1d4.
- If anyone rolls a 4, the prisoner snaps FREE! Shave 5 seconds of the countdown as you try to tether them back down. - If the countdown hits ZERO, you will have to redo it again from 30, and the people on the speakers will be mad at you for keeping up the line okay, be a professional here.
gaia_starStep 6: Room A
Once you are done, you can go back to room A with your team and your characters can clean themselves off a bit and relax. That's half of the job well done
Have fun and good luck! The next post will be in 48 hours from now! Haven't posted yet? No problem! You can just start and try to find a group from here!

Not getting a reply immediately from either of the people that he had texted, Finn blinked slowly at his phone, frowned, and pocketed it once more. If either of the other intermediates arrived, he was sure that they would find him, especially with a tall beacon like Jack around to attract attention.
Glad that he and his cohort were on the same page when it came to the expending of effort, Finn gave a small nod of his head, but then found himself snorting at Jack's comment.
"Like you're one to talk." He grumbled, reaching up to rub at his face once more, before scratching at the stubble that he had been growing out the last few days. "I didn't sleep last night." He explained without really explaining anything at all, just leaving the subject at that before noticing the same woman wandering that Jack was watching.
His eye widened. He...recognized her. It had been months ago now but he was certain that it was the same woman....
She was wearing a full hunters jacket, so definitely not a newbie. And as she glided closer to where the two men stood, Finn regarded her with a steady, cold gaze that had narrowed considerably.
And then, just like that, she moved on. "Know her?" Finn asked, still watching her as she went about her business, interacting with others.
What had felt like ages had ticked by before any actual action began, Caelius finally arriving and giving them all one of his so very riveting and encouraging speeches.
Finally it was time to leave.
"After you, Jackie-boy." Finn gestured at the portal. "This sounds like a Life deal to me." Which was his way of saying, I'll follow your lead.
