As soon as Saint Clara spoke, her two Machinists moved into action. ERGO SUM was fasted and he burst forward towards Despair, curling into a ball and rocketing towards him again with the same ability he used against him before though this time is was faster now that Despair would obviously know it was coming. Meanwhile Shelle Crystal went for the others. Unlike ERGO SUM she moved slowly, walking towards Herald, Emma and Nasiga. She raised one of her arms into the sky and suddenly one of her blades shot right off of it. When it had reached a certain height the blade exploded in a flash of silvery metallic light. Slivers of razor-sharp metal began to rain down on the three of them. No sooner had she done so then she rushed forward. But this wasn't any kind of normal rush. She seemed to be in front of Herald in an instant, slashing him straight across the chest. "How in the -!?" Herald said in surprise as he jumped backwards. "Emma, get off and help me out, I need more maneuverability," he told her as he got into a fighting stance.





Abilities used:

1. Dark Rocket: After focusing for a moment ERGO SUM is able to curl into a ball and launch himself towards an opponent. This does not require movement on ERGO SUM's part and he can go from a standstill to incredibly high speeds in less than a second. A successful hit will often stagger an opponent as well as cause severe burns and ignite any flammable substance it touches (most notably clothing).




1. Gravity Latch: By focusing her resonance force, Shelle can "latch" it onto her opponent. By doing so, she's able to move towards them at an incredible speed, literally going from zero to sixty in less than a second. She can appear in front of them seemingly instantaneously. This allows her to continuously launch a barrage of attacks without ceasing.

7. Chaffe: Focusing her energy, Shelle can rapidly fire several blades up in the air, causing them to explode. They spread thousands of tiny pieces of metal into the air (about the size of short toothpicks). These extremely small shards can be breathed in by enemies whereon they will begin to slice apart the inside of their lungs. This will cause external bleeding as well as causing the enemy to cough up blood. It will also reduce their stamina and slow them down.

ERGO SUM attempted to dodge the blade that Despair threw at him, spinning and twisting in the air. The blade nicked him in the side as it went by, but even this was enough to send him spiraling out of control and onto the ground. But ERGO SUM was quickly back on his feet. The sword exploded against the barrier, causing ERGO SUM to stumble though the fiery wolf kept on his feet. As soon as the explosion was over ERGO SUM came at Despair again, relentless and single-minded in his pursuit of his target. He leaped towards Despair, seeming as if he were aiming to slam directly into his chest. But less than a second before the wolf made contact he suddenly vanished in a blast of fire. Another loud blast of fire could be heard from directly behind Despair, but that would be the only warning he would receive that the wolf had suddenly materialized directly behind him. In less than a second ERGO SUM attempted a second bite on Despair's shoulder from behind. If successful, he would attempt to try and drag Despair down to the ground, much as wolves do to their prey.

Becky seemed to slowly relax as the barrier between herself and Despair was put up. She stopped shaking and holding her head but she still seemed a little traumatized. She was pale and still shaking slightly but she slowly stood up, looking back towards her camera. It was her reason for being here. It was the way she could keep her focus. She scrambled back to it and adjusted it so it could capture the entire room and all three fights that were happening.

As Emma shot fireballs at Shelle, Shelle raised both her blades and deflected first one and then the other, sending them shooting off into the ceiling. Though she wasn't able to get in a position to dodge Emma's next quick attack and she took the hit to the gut, bending over almost double as the attack landed. She quickly recovered though and jumped backwards. All of a sudden Emma would be able to feel the slightest sense of tugging on herself. Shelle had attached her gravity latch to the neko. The pull itself was more of a sensation than anything else and it wouldn't affect Emma in any way except for her to know that she was now linked to Shelle by the girl's ability. No sooner would she feel the pull than Shelle would launch her attack, practically materializing in front of her using the speed of the gravity latch. She then made multiple rapid-fire strikes at Emma, attempting to slash up any inch of her body she could hit.

Meanwhile, Herald looked down at Saint Clara as he heard her from where he had her pinned against the wall. He felt the muzzles of the guns against him but didn't realize what they were until Saint Clara pulled the trigger. The explosive bullets blew him clear backwards and up into the air, causing him to land on his back further down the throne room and leaving a crack in the tile where he landed. He slowly got to his feet, smoke trailing off his chest where the bullet had hit him. They had obviously hurt. "A tickle, huh? Don't worry, when I'm done with you you won't be able to feel anything." He decided to test Saint Clara one more time before he changed. He took a deep breath and spat several bright blue fireballs at her, attempting a ranged attack to see how she would fair against it.

ERGO SUM
Augmentation(s): Like the others of the inner circle, ERGO SUM is augmented to stay young despite his age. His sense of sight and smell have been augmented to see and hear much further distances than a normal wolf or human. His body has been augmented to constantly be in flames and thus long range attacks are extremely ineffective against him. His biggest augmentation is the actual removal of his soul. This allows him to completely bypass any effects caused by madness, any attacks that directly attempt to destabilize his wavelength and any attacks that are supposed to cause any kind of irrational fear response. The current whereabouts of his soul is known only by Saint Clara and a few select scientists.

3. Death Bite: This ability automatically comes into effect whenever ERGO SUM lands a successful bite on an opponent. The bite wound will begin to leak black fire, causing intense pain and physical damage as well as draining an opponent of stamina until they are healed from it.

7. Incendiary Shift: Breaking himself down into flames, ERGO SUM is able to vanish in an instant and appear directly behind or to the side of his opponent. He cannot use this move rapidly and in succession; there must be at least a 10 second break between each use.
