Just a note ; I'd push him up to 18 since he probably wouldn't be more than a cabin boy if he were too young ( trying to keep some touch of realisma ;p ) Then again , pirate , but the pirate ships started out as CAF ships so some of the crew may have once been officers and the like . Oh , and the ship would be the Absolute Bearing unless someone steps up wanting to captain another pirate ship - but we'll chat about that c: Roy and I are trying to decide whether or not we destroy the Sanglante Ruth right out of the gate ~ giggles manically ~ Oh aaaaaand ; Toby Regbo , Evan Peters ( would make a great pirate ) , young Gabe Mann ( still maybe too old )

Phft! I was liking the second one better! Typical of me! (I like the first for the coat, the second for the overall pose and feel of the picture. So either is good for me.)
I was just bumping him up to age 17, but 18 is perfectly fine. (I just figured, pirates being pirates, if someone shows the skills for the job, age probably wouldn't matter to them! He could possibly still be treated like a cabin boy to some extent, until they ask for direction! mrgreen )
Working on profile. When it comes to the details, I'm very adjustable.

I am excited about the new profiles and definitely ready to get the ball rolling on starting this roleplay. I haven't been around quite as often due to work stuff, but I'm going to try to clear up my schedule for the next week or two so that I can devote some time to developing things. Hopefully, anyway!

Oh , I thought the story page explained well . Okay , so basically there's this metalloid called kalydium that was discovered outside Banbury-in-Dorchester and years after its discovery they started making engines with it . People were into using dirigibles for air transport but with the kalydium they can just straight up make a maritime ship fly c: Buuuut , side affect - and we're still working on the specifics - the kalydium messes with people's DNA after long periods of exposure under certain conditions , resulting in magic-like mutations . So that covers sailors and wizards ;p Now pirates - because the kalydium is this power future-controlling resource , and also because a lot of people are unhappy about the shoddy state of the mines , there are pirates . So we have the Coalition Air Force ( the good guys . . ish . . . the military ) and we have the Pirate Armada ( the bad other good ? guys . . . wait what ? ) - well actually there's only like 2 ships . . so far . . . and they're both after a fountain of youth wellspring mine with vast amounts of kalydium - the stuff that makes ships fly and gives peeps magical powers C:

I haven't been on much, so I'm popping into see how the progress is going. Glad to see we've got more players coming in!

Well , I wouldn't say definitely on either . We could certainly use more Coalition peeps , given the numbers and the likelihood that some of our Neutrals may end up aboard pirate ships . . but there's positioning that need filling all around ( though Roy and I have chatted about ways to fill in the gaps if we're still in a place of desperation when starting ) . If you want specifics , double check the ic page , um , 9th post - the Shipwright's Plaza = it has a list of the ships and who's crew on them . The Atlas and the Seaboots aren't in play ( they are backdrop ) so we need Grogram crew and captain , Bearing captain . . could use Bearing and Ruth crew ( although we are probably destroying the Ruth very shortly after the game begins)

I will almost certainly be coming aboard the Grogram unless something totally crazy happens. I may or may not be creating someone to stay on board the A.B. Most of the runnings of the ship will probably take place in the background at the hands of NPCs, mainly because I don't know anything about steering ships. Other than that an equal balance between the two would be preferable just for posting/response reasons.

If I may ask without seeming rude, any idea on when you think you'll be opening the role play up? Just wondering overall. (As long as I'm informed it's open when it opens, I'm happy.)

I think that's ultimately up to Trance Harper. She has put everything together and done most of the legwork to get the thread set up. My schedule is very absolute, so I will always be around during the same times, IDK if she's got more down time at one time than another. Other than that, we just have to wait until we have a very solid idea of everyone who's joining and for their profiles to be done. I will be working on a pirate captain tomorrow!

I'm on every day, for at least some portion of the day. Depends upon how fast paced of a role play do we want. Probably something we will have to feel out as we go, cause we don't want to "post" people behind in the role play.
pirate Make him someone worthy of being called capt'en. Someone Gerald will trust... (Which would be anyone whom treats him nicely... Not that hard to do I guess.) I'm already guessing that Gerald and Fleur will probably get along fairly well. Similar personality and viewpoint on the whole Piracy thing. (Turn a bind eye, we really don't care. And we each aren't good at combat.) Gerald reads wind, she reads radio waves... (Completely accidental!) We'll have to keep an eye on those two. See if they argue with each other (too similar) or what... ninja William and him, well, depends. Would he see Gerald as a kid?
This could be an interesting assortment of a crew we have going so far. I'm impressed!

He probably would , depending on how long the boy's been on the ship and like , I dunno , whether he'd killed anyone or not or been drunk or sleep with a girl ( or a boy , I guess we should be inclusive in this roleplay ) But honestly I he thinks of him as a kid he'll be a hell of a lot nicer to him ;p

So now that we have a wonderful cast of characters , still a few more to come ! ( so exciting ) We can expect the game to begin soon . With that in mind , please throw some character plots around with people you think your char might either get on with fantastically , have a romantic backstory with , totally hate and consider a nemesis , etc , etc . Best to figure it out now than while we're trying to game c: Don't forget to quote people , the only kids that check in here regularly w/o summoning are Roy , Thorn , and myself .
