"Yes it is." he said with a smile before looked up at the sun a moment, "I'm sorry Ursa, but I must be going now. I'll be sure to eat the cupcake and let you know how it was. " he began walking off towards the entrance to the castle, and turned around to give her one more wave, "I hope to see you again soon sometime."

She nodded, "Goodbye, I hope to see you again soon," and with that, she waved back exaggeratedly and turned to then walk on into the depths of the gardens.

Session Plot: Equus finds Filix in the gardens.
Participants: Equus, Filix, Maggie.
Setting:

Maggie pulled earnestly at the rope that had been fastened to her collar as a makeshift leash. It had been so long since she'd been able to run, and Equus wasn't helping any. He stepped gingerly behind her through the tall grass - grass that could be home to a variety of tiny monsters. Keeping this fact in mind, Equus stared with decided concentration at the ground in front of his feet.

It was because of this that he barely focused on the Kitsu who was now throwing all her energy into getting away. With one last graceful tug, Maggie snapped her leash from Equus' hand and quickly bounced away from him. Equus cast a sidelong look at the departing animal and, knowing she'd be back when bored, waved his hand in dismissal and continued on his way. He might as well - Weasley had been bugging him for flowers ever since the ones she used as decorations died. Always so picky...why couldn't she just appreciate the dead ones? And so Equus drudged off in the direction of the gardens in search of flowers.

Filix stood in the sheltered garden that was home to large ferns, damp moss, and overgrown wild bushes covered in bushes. It wasn't neat and pretty, but Filix loved how wild and free it looked, how it had no aid in growing- it just had grown the way it knew how. The one problem with it, was that it sat side by side with the garden with the most flowers... as if it'd been designed to attract people like Rosa. Filix had to be careful while she was her and doing what she was doing.

She wasn't just standing here admiring her favorite garden though, Filix had come here with a purpose. She had been training with Eirnae for well over a month now, and hadn't spoken to many others, so intent was she in doing this. There was only one person Filix missed... but then, for some reason she was handling it quite well.

And it had nothing to do with any other feelings, Filix reminded herself sternly, and pushed her mind back to the sword in her hand. She couldn't let her mind drift along those lines, even though that had been partly what her mind had been drifting to for the past two weeks. She couldn't get her mind off Equus, but that was to be expected. But what had been on her mind just as much, the thing that Filix had NOT expected to be thinking in the first place... was Aesculus.

Filix growled, and put down the sword. She couldn't practice while her mind insisted on thinking about that boy. Even if he was now reaching her own age, even if he would be her own age... She couldn't think about that, and what of Equus? She felt for him strongly, why did her mind have to confuse her twice? Once was bad enough, and Filix was sure that she'd accepted her feelings for the Squire. Wasn't that supposed to be the end of romantic confusion, something she wasn't exactly fond of in the first place? And Aesculus had shown no interest, where as Equus had...? It was all wrong! Filix felt like a confused teenager again, not a feeling she liked at all.

But she did know one thing for certian now. And to make sure she remembered that, she had a bag with her. The bag had something wrapped in it, she'd been carrying it around for as long as she'd seen Equus last.

She stood up again, and started to go through her sword exercises with even more anger and strength than usual. And every time a fern, or a tree, or a prickly wild rose bush got in the way, Filix only lost more concentration, her mind confused her more, and she got even angrier with her technique ...

Equus quickly pranced through the grass - this was the time of year he liked. It was cool but not cold, and warm but not hot. Even the prospect of grass-dwelling beasts had been wiped from Equus' mind. He merrily landed in front of a bush of particularly healthy-looking roses. With a quick glance, he made sure Rosa wasn't around - he didn't think she'd appreciate his taking the poor flowers.

Bending over to inspect his newfound prize, he could swear they almost grumbled something at him. When he edged closer to the bush, the distinct whiz of a blade cutting through air caught his sensetive ears.

Equus dramatically unsheathed his weapon and ran heroically to the other side of the wall. There he stopped - for in front of him was not a moon court warrior, but...Filix! He gaped for a moment before starting forward. Apparantly Filix had not noticed his swift entrance. Peering curiously at the scene in front of him, he spoke softly. "Filix? What are you doing out here?"

Filix ignored the poor pruned garden, she had to continue training! It was better than thinking about anything else, she decided, while her mind finally went back to the proper set of mind that she'd been taught to have.

And then something shattered it... The sounds of running feet, a sword being unsheathed, and someone approching all meshing together and sending a rush of fear and adrenaline throughout Filix's body. She spun around holding her weapon up defensively, red and sweaty and her eyes wild with her green hair loose and untamed.

"Equus?"

She blinked at Equus, and sheathed her sword while she glanced away again. When she looked back again, her face had returned to the usual expression Filix had, save for the red face. She unhooked the belt, and placed it on the bench.

"Um... hello. I haven't seen you for a long time...?" Filix tried, glancing back upwards at the teenager, while trying to gather the long green hair back into a 'presentable' look. She didn't try and hide the sword, he'd seen it now.

Equus' strongest gift wasn't intelligence, but it didn't take a genius to figure out what was going on. He nonchalantly placed his sword back in its sheath and looked at Filix.

"Yeah, Weasley's had some relatives over for a while. They were quite...loud, to say the least. I'm sort of ashamed that we're related." Equus explained in a rather embarassed voice. He hoped silently that they were very distant relatives of his.

Stealing a glance at Filix's weapon, he came back to his senses and realized what he'd seen. "So...what's the sword for?" Equus questioned. His stomach churned uncomfortably as he thought of Filix fighting. The thought was pushed away, however, as his mind fought for excuses. She was simply tending to the gardens, that was all...

Filix glanced back at the sword, as she tied her hair back in a very messy braid, and her eyes landed on the bag. With Equus's gift! While he answered her, Filix went over to the bag and tugged out the wrapped gift.

"I'm sure that you missed that part of the blood, Equus. There's nothing loud about you." Filix replied, glancing up to give him a warm smile. She stood up, and stepped over to stand in front of him, peering upwards as she took one of his hands with one of hers, and gently put the fist sized present into the hand. "This is for you... I had planned on giving it to you. Neith helped me make it..."

She glanced away again when he asked, and shrugged. "Remember when I asked you if you would help me learn to use a sword...? Uh..."

Filix was lost for words for a few seconds, then she remembered that movie. And that beautiful girl she'd admired. Filix glanced back up at him, and repeated the one line that had really stuck in her mind. "Women who don't know how to use a sword can still die upon them."

((In the present:

It glows at night, they look like little distant fireflies, and it's like a little magic nightlight. ^^ Filix didn't get it for the nightlight part. xd ))

Hello Ursa. How are you this evening? *Lilium got up as she spoke to greet the young fey.* I find the gardens a lovely place to sit and contemplate things. What brought you here?
PostPosted: Fri Oct 15, 2004 12:22 am

Ursa blinked, but remained smiling, "I'm good thank you, yes, the gardens lure me here... To sit, intake the beauty and remain tranquil," her eyes met with Lilium's for the first time.

But when her eyes did meet hers, Ursa was wrapped in a almost -blanket like- cover of pain, she then wrapped her arms around herself as the pain ran through her body, a almost bright light was now casting over her, the light dazzled the gardens, the roses petals swaying a little, slowly as the light dimmed, there, left standing, blinking toward Lilium, was the teenage Ursa.

Ursa blinked at Lilium, smiling tiredly as the final lashes of pain swept away from her body. She remained in Liliums arms.
