Nysa had been sitting rather patiently as those surrounding him chatted amongst themselves, some more aggressively than others. The code, as it had introduced itself, was a rather intriguing thing to observe, even from afar. Many seemed to cluster close to it, and several individuals seemed to linger on the sidelines. One individual seemed to prickle at Nysa's sense of manners, considering how loudly he was snoring. It was rather rude considering all the information that was being offered by a simple magical scroll.

For each nugget of historical knowledge that the scroll shared, it was questioned. It was logical, considering how every single person present had been torn away from their daily lives to participate. Many seemed intent upon gathering every ounce of information they could before moving forward in an effort to bring the balance back to status quo.

The origins of the youma left a sour taste in his mouth, but he did not let such linger upon his calm, peaceful expression as he continued to listen. The compassionate made themselves well known with their questions, and the barbaric also made themselves well known. It was all a matter of wording.

The Code was polite, if anything, attempting to gather all the questions asked of it and to reply as accurately as it was capable.

However, rather suddenly, the Neptunian Knight found a young lady draping her arm about his shoulders as if she was familiar with him. Glancing to the dark skinned woman, the lad was quite certain he had never met her before in his entire life.

"...I beg pardon, Miss..." he started, accent lingering upon his words. "Do you make it a habit to style the hair of young men you have just met?"

He had clearly noticed the fingers already weaving themselves through his ponytail.

He was, however, a gentleman, and was not going to ignore her legitimate questions. "I have not fully decided how I feel about the situation. I prefer to listen to all sides, to the pros and to the cons, before making a decision."

Themiscyra was raising her brows at those around her. Was it just her, or was everyone starting to get a little... extra huffy? Perhaps she shouldn't be talking though.

"Can't please everyone," she sighed, listening to voices pipe up about different aspects the Code was trying to cover in response to their questions. Her hand dropped from the shoulder of the Knight next to her when he continued his snapping words, and another was calling the name of Templar into high question. "....someone must not approve of Assassin's Creed or Dante's Inferno."

Had no one else bothered to pay attention to that darkened image of the Earth? Or that their Templars could purify? Or that the Code was effectively giving them a pass if they found so many Chaos agents who wouldn't align with them?

The Code had answered her questions about this Beryl with enough of an explanation that she didn't feel the need to push further--though she did have to bite back a groan to hear something about a Prince of Earth. She could gripe about royalty crap later. This wasn't the time nor the place to question this further. At least for now. Someone she knew was going to get an earful of a rant later though. Someone. Anyone. At least she had her identities somewhat straight now.

Her attention shifted back to Kairatos, finding herself... not exactly disagreeing with him. Not that she'd met every Negaverse agent out there, but the few she had encountered hadn't exactly seemed bubbling with joy at the concept of shaking hands with a knight. Another knight, one she realized wore rather nice pastels which was new to her (Sarras) spoke up and all but took the words out of her mouth. Still, when Kairatos confirmed most of the Negaverse likely wouldn't be signing up at the door to swap sides, she gave a snort, nodding to the other knight he'd been speaking to with a look of approval. "I'm not seeing the problem here. If they're willing to lay down their weapons as agents of the Negaverse and pick them up again as knights, then all's well. If they're comfy exactly where they are and clearly pose a threat to the safety of those in and out of uniform, then take them out by whatever means necessary." Get in line or get out of the way. The Code wasn't saying they shouldn't eliminate Chaos threats if possible. It was just making suggestions for how to deal with them. If the best way to guarantee the safety of the people of Destiny City and Order was to take out some of those agents...

Themiscyra blinked, wondering for a moment why she wasn't feeling nauseous at the thoughts she was having. But then someone was talking about being a family and she made a face. "I've already got a family. I don't need another one. Mine's already chaotic enough as it is without involving cosmic powers." She wasn't looking for a place to belong. Had that, thanks. She was ok with making friends and allies, though. Comrades, allies in arms, that sort of stuff. People could take that "family" talk right on away from her.

Trying to keep herself from joining the preaching and the huffing, she turned back to the Code. "Why did you bring us here, anyways? Why Mars? Not that I'm complaining, mind you. But there's only two here who can normally access the planet. Did you have an actual reason for the mass summon or was this just a history lesson?" She was skipping over nearly all her questions she had for the Code even with that string. But it had mentioned something that she decided to cling to for the moment. "If you're here to guide us, then how would you guide us in rebuilding, if that's what we decided to do? Any suggestions where to start?"

Like Sherwood, Newgrange found himself met with many strange names and terms. He did not react with hostility or question, just curiosity. He didn't know who to trust or what was fact, but this was the only information he had to go off of so far, and he was going to accept it until someone had something better to work with.

Though he listened to the concerns of the other knights, he did not feel like here was anything he could even try to argue. He was just happy to know that there were so many knights—and that now he had some direction to try and work towards.

Sherwood's voice caused Newgrange to look from the scroll in front of him to her. In a way, he was worried that she'd drawn attention to herself—and him, at her side—but in a way he couldn't help but be relieved that she'd asked.

You couldn't get answers if you didn't ask, and though he stood a little straighter after she spoke, he seemed more relaxed, now.

Leaning close, he gave her arm a little squeeze with his own; it was no more than a silent attempt to reassure her.

Other knights spoke, some with concerns he found himself quickly agreeing with. Themisycra's question of why they were here--and more than that, he wondered how they were here.

She may not have been TRYING to preach, but Kairatos certainly took it that way, with a sigh that indicated his idea of 'long suffering' of such affairs might be about... ten minutes.

"Hey, if YOU want to waste your time trying to recreate an model of training that has clearly failed before, to forces that the nice voice we're supposed to assume is telling the truth tells us we're supposed to keep in balance.... THAT'S YOUR HEADACHE. We know barely jack about it, we don't know the details of the failure, we don't know that they wouldn't have failed anyway given other flaws. If you want to tell everyone you're restarting things because it'll TOTALLY GO OK this time, that's still your headache. Training is one thing, but trying to recreate a failed structure on the word of this..." He gestured at the scroll. "Dubiously truthful whatsit? I'm not in. I will chat with your guys who think they wanna switch until they are bored to tears, but I'm not signing on board to anything just because a powerful magic piece of paper and an very ambitious lady suggest it. If it takes of... fine. Consider me an unaffiliated private tutor."

He shook his head, adding. "Still gonna be a hard sell, 'fraternity' or no. Most of the officers were kids, and there's probably good reasons the negaverse picks em up easy. The idea of power and family that lets you out at all hours... plays nicely to anyone who's already angry at the world."

He should know. It had worked with him.

The word 'Templar' didn't ring too many bells with him, he'd never been good with history, but Bablyon's description didn't make it sound terribly flattering. Neither did Themi's tone. He'd have to look it up later.

"So..."

Alfheim just looked distraught and confused. He didn't have extensive knowledge about Chaos or corruption and whatever Zia knew, she didn't tell him. When he asked he was usually rebuffed or greeted with the same wishy washy double talk he felt they were getting from the Code, and that made him instinctively tense up and worry, although he had listened with interest and wonderment and pondered about things like the academy and his ancestor and what she might've known.

He remembered, though, the few Chaos agents who had taken a moment to speak to him. They were either confused as he was or trapped in a fantasy world where their actions didn't cause harm or kill people. That was a form of coping with a weird brand of pain, and one he didn't wish on anyone even if it wasn't actively harmful to the society they lived in. They were hurting, and their existence in that state hurt those around them and the people they victimized.

The Code telling them they weren't supposed to win had a nauseating effect in direct juxtaposition to his personal experiences.

"How is Order overwhelming Chaos just as bad? We don't break starseeds, we don't hurt people or turn them into monsters. Their entire organization is participating in the war, if they lay down their weapons and leave they would have to leave their faction. You can't be Chaos and not participate in the slaughter?"

It was mostly distressing, and confusing as hell. Balance seemed like nice words but the more he thought about it the more it all fell apart and rang hollow.

"If things are supposed to be equal, and balanced... what about the people on the other side of the equilibrium when balance is achieved?" That was where his concern eventually settled. "Are we supposed to leave them there and stop trying? For the sake of balance? Aren't we supposed to be fighting for Order?"

He glanced to his side when he heard a familiar accented voice and glanced to his side at Nysa and the visible distress on his face from seeing someone on his own side who had attacked him previously deepened. Someone mentioned the historically legacy of Templars and that sounded like an equally unpleasant factor to being a knight, and he was wondering if he even cared about being one anymore. He decided to just stand his ground and hang back here with Hara.

It felt like nothing was cooperating with the logic he had been operating off of. He just wanted to go home.

Pompeii listened to the questions and arguments swirling around her. So much depended on herself and the others. It was daunting and rather funny if you thought about it. How could a bookworm like Pompeii do much to dispel the dark miasma that was the image of the world the scroll showed? Pompeii was pulled from her thoughts by the argument between one knight and others. Apparently the knight was once a negaverser who had become purified. She wasn't much of what you would call a cue picker upper but to her it seemed like he was bitter... as if no one understood or cared too... as if he was alone and yet knew that he couldn't do any better. With out thinking she opened her mouth and said quite loudly, "'The whole course of human history may depend on a change of heart in one solitary and even humble individual - for it is in the solitary mind and soul of the individual that the battle between good and evil is waged and ultimately won or lost.'"

Her face flamed as she realized she just practically yelled out the quote from M. Scott Peck. She quickly changed subject and hoping to distract everyone from her rather odd outburst, quietly asked the scroll "If the universe requires balance, as all things truly do, then what happens if the balance is restored? Or if light over takes dark? Since the universe is much like yin and yang if one is too far out of balance the other must take corrective action. But what happens if it can not be fixed?"

"...I... What?" Kairatos at this point would freely admit he would loose the cool quote competition, and he wasn't even sure how to TAKE that one. Was it supposed to be encouraging, or criticizing? She couldn't possibly be implying he was somehow the keystone of this mess. He was too much of a mess himself, with memories of a thousand years ago being more clear and more 'real' than the ghosts left behind from purification.

"I... I have no idea what we're even getting at now. I just don't like this. I don't buy being a sell sword to whoever the under dog is in the apparent cosmic unicycle act this thing is selling. Maybe that's half what went so ********' wrong and instead of trying to repeat it because it plays to our egos... cause you gotta admit there's gotta be some dark little corner in most of us that wants a little bit to be some world shifting impartial judge-god team... maybe it's time to tell tradition to suck it. I mean I'm pretty sure just in the planets history there was a lot more going on than retro fashion and Maybury sunshine forever." I'm still not on board. I'm just not. I hope I'm not the only one who's not... but I'm.... gonna hazard a guess I'm not the only one here with doubts.

Hara:

"It... it doesn't make sense. We stood at the surrounding, like... like others did before us to PROTECT people. From creatures of CHAOS. Creatures that wiped out people like... like sweeping your hand over s counter filled with toys! I can't picture them ever having been NECESSARY. Death may be necessary, but that's ENTROPY and decay, natural things! Change! There's even a kind of order in that. WHAT COULD EVER BE NECESSARY ABOUT PEOPLE WHO DO WHAT I SAW THEM DO?"

Hara started out venting her anxiety to Aelfheim, but her voice swiftly became louder, angrier, and crackled with pained emotion that broke her tone and washed outward in a flood, like the sudden tears that rolled down her cheeks, making them red and splotchy, as she sniffled and tried to claw her own emotions back into check.

"How could they ever be necessary? I don't believe you. I HATE YOU!" She sobbed.

Falias nodded "You have a point there" he admitted to Aventine. "None of the youma I've come across as human-like either" hounds yes. Some other sort of creature? Yes. But something human-like? No.

"I do kind of wonder why we're getting this all this information now though" he admitted to her. "And why not when or close after we started being Knights." After all Falias personally couldn't see what was so important about this particular day and why it was more special than any other day.

The Code was speaking again, although Falias was disappointed that once again the thing seemed quite open-ended in its answers although some of the information that he was gleaning seemed to be quite useful like the fact that Senshi Princes and Princesses seemed to be able to purify things as could Templars - which meant... "Which means that Camelot has the power to purify Nega-agents" he murmured not realising he was speaking his thoughts aloud.

He heard one of the Knights querying the use of the word 'Templar', although Falias was willing to personally reserve judgement. Whilst the Knight was correct about the Templars of the Crusades, he personally couldn't see Camelot up and acting like that, not from what he had experienced of the older Knight.

His thoughts were caught short at the sound of a strident-sounding voice, turning to spot the blond Mars Knight (Kairatos) further up ahead and closer to the 'Scroll'. Code he mentally corrected himself. Falias had missed the whole conversation about former Nega-agent, but there was something almost familiar about the blond that had him frowning slightly as he stared a little harder than he probably should have.

His attention was briefly distracted at an outburst from a blue-haired Page (Hara Berezaiti) close to where Alfheim was, but then he found his attention tugged back to the blond Mars Knight. It felt almost as if he knew the blond from somewhere.

Pharos had moved with Camelot and the other's towards the misty looking scroll, watching in wonder as other tried to get it to open and her eyes lighting up as it started to talk. She was content to listen and moved back to make room for other's returning to her seat next to Celsus and grabbing the other's hand while watching as the scroll talked and nodding.

She was sure she had heard the call for some time, she believed for the longest in the fantastical and for a while being a knight was like a dream come true, but of course people were constantly trying to kill her which once in a while put a damper on that.

She looked to Celsus as it gave them options so of which contradicted one another and frowned, "it sounds a little confused," she said softly, "I thought we should be working together but its saying choose the path right for you and your wonder."

Everyone was asking questions and arguing, but Pharos stayed quiet. Until the code showed the earth darkened except for Destiny City. Her jaw dropped and she was slightly confused. Was that why there was so many bad things happening constantly in there world, were people being to influenced by the influx of chaos across the globe.

"Chaos exists outside of earth yes, we have been attack at the surrounding by space whales of sort, hell bent on trying to kill us. And things come to earth and try to take over at different points. So would it be okay for the earth to be all or mostly order, or does the earth itself have to maintain a balance in and of itself."

Lyceum whom had been mostly antisocial, not to happy about the heat on mars or having been whisked away was intrigued by the misty scroll and did move from her space in the far back to one of the rows closer, but didn't feel the need many of the other's felt to crowd around it.

She sat back listening and watching ever the appreciate one of information that might finally help her come to some sort of affirmative stance in this war. The more information provided to her however the angrier she felt.

"This is ridiculous," she said standing up, "you said you've been calling to us for however long and you, the code or whatever has been around watching all this time and letting it happen and you choose now to whisk us away to show us all this! A power which I assume you've had all along. What stopped you from helping the knights when this Beryl woman went apeshit! Why now when we are fighting a war its seems we have already lost!"

Her face was severely frowned up and she had a sort of no bullshit stance, not currently caring what the other's though. "You show us a darkened earth, but outside of our city, I do not see this war we fight. In my civilian life I travel frequently to countries all over the world and yet is only here why I have to fight for my life and where other's are trying to kill me or convince me to swap sides. Everything seems pretty peaceful and normal outside Destiny City!"

Shang chose to hang back with the injured Andronicus giving her a small smile and trusting there was enough other knights to investigate the scroll that had just appeared. He watched in amusement as the other tried to open it, some very silly methods and other's sort of serious, but the scroll sort of did nothing at first before it unrolled and it talked.

Shang blinked, of all the things, he expected when being brought here, a talking scoll, the Code wasn't one of them. He looked to Andronicus briefly to make sure he was really seeing this before turning back and watching and listening to scroll and the other's around him. It was a lot to keep up with even for him who was use to emergency situation in the hospital and people calling out stats, direction, medicines and all sort of things.

He tried to take it all in especially the story, was it even true and the picture of the globe that made no sense to him. He'd felt much safer when he lived in England and he had to nod and agree with some of Lyceum's angry words in that aspect at least.

"I live in England for six months and saw nothing of what I see here," he said softly.

Things were getting heated. Correction, things were heated from the very get go, but it seemed there was nothing to be done to ease the tension. When there was an assembly of different kinds of people thrown together on a whim, there was expected to be some conflicting views. Sarras wasn't like his brother- Richard could enter an assembly and find a way to leave a positive mark, sort the order from the chaos, and make things work. Sarras' work was with paperwork and numbers, something human beings would never be. Yet why did this magical talking scroll pick him to be here, especially when all he seemed to be doing was making matters worse.

Though Themiscyra had his back, that wasn't making matters with Kairatos, and it was almost enough for Sarras to just want to slink into the back of the room and pretend he wasn't visible. He couldn't be reasoned with, and Sarras had a feeling that he wouldn't be the one to do it. He wasn't even sure why he was here, and the blonde-haired knight seemed to have his mind set due to his own experiences. Who was Sarras to convince him otherwise? At his outburst, Sarras let out a sigh, letting him know that he was backing down from their disagreement, or whatever it was that they were having. "That's your choice, then. It just would have been really useful to have someone with your knowledge and experience being the ones to help convince them when the time came. They're more likely to respect that than someone that looks like this."

Oh, he had not forgotten about this disgusting attire, and he had a feeling if he tried to approach any member of this Negaverse like this, he'd be more likely to cause them to kill over laughing than do any good. However, that wasn't Kairatos fault and nor would he push it on him.

He stepped away from the Mars knight to give him some space, listening as Alfheim brought up a good point. Order... it reminded Sarras that he had literally been dragged into this, and from he heard from the Saturn knight and others here, weren't they part of Order? It was all very confusing, but intriguing, and Sarras made a note to listen for the Code's response on that one.

Then Hara began to cry, her words and the intensity behind them serving as, yet, another reminder that he had absolutely no idea what had been going on in his city, or the world, or the goddamn universe, and it certainly had a way of making a man feel small. He didn't know what she was talking about, but he could tell that the emotion was real. Her sorrow and frustration was real... and maybe that's when it finally dawned on him that this was all real.

He reached for one of the ribbons at his side and gave the silky fabric a tug, ripping it off with little effort. He thought little of the act- it was dainty silk and who couldn't just rip it in two with a little effort? Without thinking, he approached her and held the fabric to her, trying to be kind or sincere with his words, like Richard might have, but feeling forced in his ears. "Here. Maybe some of them are necessary, but not all of them. And I'd think it's our job to help weed out the ones that aren't..."

“Wait,” Valhalla spoke up, quietly at first as the Code started answering questions. Something wasn’t lining up. Something seemed off, and the pride that had risen in his chest at being a knight began to deflate.

“You just said we should promote peace,” he said, glancing to the knights around him to verify. Maybe he’d just imagined it? “But…” He regretted speaking up the moment he trailed off, and lowered his head once more. Was this… Code… this thing that was supposed to be guiding them also promoting the murder of those consumed by Chaos…? Was it really that impossible to find another way? Or was it just allowing those around to offer their opinions and agreeing that anything was an option…?

“Nevermind,” he mumbled, shaking his head as he stared at the ground, wishing he had his gyrocompass to fiddle with. It was already evident that there were far more in favor of taking down Chaos one person at a time, and while he believed Chaos should be eradicated at its core, he didn’t think individuals were impossible to save.

“We try to kill those in the Negaverse and Dark Mirror Court, but then we also try to purify them…? Purification doesn’t seem possible when it’s forced… so in order to convince someone that it’s best to… not be in the Negaverse or Dark Mirror Court, we kill their friends and everything they’ve known, and expect them to believe we’re the better side to be apart of…?” He mostly spoke to himself, recapping everything that the others had already made mention of, but didn’t mind if those around him, like Alexandria or Ashur could hear him.

Valhalla held back an eyeroll at Babylon’s outburst, settling for a steadying intake of breath, instead. “Templars were mostly bankers,” he mumbled to Alexandria and Ashur, although he didn’t even know how knowledgeable the other two were on the subject, but having just finished a history class that covered the Middle Ages, he recalled a little about what they talked about in regards to the Crusades. “Only a small percentage were knights... much less who even fought…” But that wasn’t important, and he was a little annoyed that Babylon would speak down about a name that Camelot couldn’t choose for himself. No one harassed Babylon about his wonder’s earthen history. The Tower of Babel didn’t exactly have a happy ending.

Alexandria's eyes settled on Valhalla when he spoke. The knight did make sense. How were they suppose to promote peace if this thing was talking of destroying chaos? "....We don't have to kill them.." He reminded the knight quietly. "We could find a way to make some sort of truce. Rebuild the academy like it said." If others wanted to fight and kill them, then let them do it. Alexandria would take his own approach to things. "You can have you're own way of doing things..."

The corner of his lip twitched as he watched the knight. The was beginning to get to him. And Alexandria didn't blame him in the least. "Cheer up." Me mumbled, elbowing Valhalla playfully. "You'll think of some way to handle Chaos."

Andronicus listed to the chatter and sighed softly. This sounded like a damn roleplay in World of Warcraft, with half the group being indignant and angry while the other half tried to calm them down. They were never going to get anything done this way, or allow the damn floating scroll to speak. She propped herself up with her free hand.

It was hard for her to understand why she'd want to work with the Negaverse (the Dark Mirror Senshi not included here) given what they'd done. But then... it hadn't just been the Negaverse. There had been Order in that fight too. You get a bunch of people together based on a single cause they believe their hearts in, and they could do some.... terrible things.

She glanced up at Shanga as he spoke. She gave a soft chuckle.

"Destiny City is a... focal point for it, I think. Like an epicenter. But you'd be surprised how many people just ignore what's staring them in the face. They disregard it, make excuses to cover it up, ignore what 'can't be possible'. People like to live in their bubbles, and when they're brought out of them," she gestured to the group of Knights in front of them, "they either spend their whole existence denying it still, or step into their power. You then get the ones who try to take leadership, if there isn't any for whatever reason, and the ones who follow them. And you end up with this."

Wise words for someone who'd not been around that long. "They get all huffy about working with Chaos, but I've seen Order do atrocious things, alone and along side Chaos... " She shook her head, trailing off as she glanced down to her casted arm. They thought themselves saints, when they bloodied their hands too.

She was starting to get very tired of being around this whole group.

To the reluctant page the Code unfortunately did not have many words of encouragement. "While some relish in the position of knighthood not all would choose this task if given the choice. You must simply find your reason to fight. The thing you want to protect. And band together with your brethren. War is a scary place, but it is far less scary then what will become if you do not stand up and fight this war."

The Cosmos page's question might have been a little less literal, but as the question sounded the mist shifted until a familiar image appeared. The same Colliseum they'd entered minutes ago, though this one did not suffer the stress of time, beautiful as the day it was first built. And slowly but surely, another film-like sequence began to play as knights filed in. Silent scenes of knights sitting and talking. Some of it quite passionately.

Some of the current knights might even have recognized a face in the crowd...

"This place is Olympus. It is a very special wonder. One that belongs to no one knight, but instead to you all."

"While the Academy was used for training and teaching the newest generation of knights Olympus was the place all knights gathered to meet and discuss. Whether it was keeping each other updated on the happenings of the universe, requests for assistance, discussions in strategy prior to battles, or even simply meetings to talk and reestablish bonds with fellow knights this place remained a safe haven."

"No weapons, no violence, an open space for knights of every homeworld and every rank to gather and express their thoughts and ideas."

"Though I do not currently have the power to let you all access it at any time you would like, as was possible in the past, I can call you here. Seperately or all together at once. And I will in times of dire need so that you may use it in the same way your ancestors did."

The Code paused at Babylon's question, though did not hesitate to answer. "Earth's history is littered with strife, though it is far from the only corner of the Universe that warrants my attention. I have felt the bloodshed of this millennia and all those before it. When I speak of Templars, I do not speak of those who would use the title to further their own gain. The Templars of Old, the Templars who abided by the Code, perished along with the Silver Millennium, well before their title was desecrated in the name of Holy Wars."

The mist did not settle on a solid form, though it glistened in the air before the knights. "Once, Templars were renown through this Universe. They had many names, and many roles to fill. Regardless of the name they took, on this planet or any other, they were always Heralds of peace and balance. Shepherds for the lost, defenders of the downtrodden. When the Knights fell, there were those that sought to claim the legacy they left behind. No, the Knights Templar have no relation to the Templars of the Code, unless you give them credit for adopting the name when there were no others to maintain it. Great acts of evil were committed by men who thought they understood righteousness. It is a repeating cycle. No war is black and white, but it is up to you to judge what course of action to take. Chaos comes in many forms and pollutes the heart of men. Not all evil is evil you can see. Which is where balance needs be factored in."

The mist shifted again, taking on the form of a scale once more. "Chaos and Order are necessary," it explained. A large ball of white appeared on the left side of the scale, and a small, black orb to the left. Though they were varying in size, the scale seemed to be perfectly balanced. "But for different reasons. There is Chaos in all of you. Twisting in your hearts, hiding in the dark shadows. But you have overcome that darkness so far, and if you stay true to yourselves, true to your core, you will continue to do so. The good in you should always overpower the Chaos, but know that it is there. Know that it is a part of you that you must keep in check, or you will become as your enemies are. Corrupted and polluted, unable to decipher right from wrong. Chaos is not a single entity, and comes in many strengths. There are different courses to take when dealing with Chaos because only you will be able to determine the proper course. Some Chaos can be cured with words, with peace. Some Chaos swells in bouts of rage, or jealousy, or hatred. Emotions you feel on a daily basis, that can be cured through words or acts of good. But some Chaos…"

The scales rippled; the black orb representing Chaos grew, and the scale immediately tipped. The black form continued growing until it enveloped everything, and instead was replaced by a black haze, faceless, but inarguably menacing. "…Some Chaos requires force. Chaos is a sickness. If you cannot stop it before it grows, you will have to fight it."

It was silent for a moment, letting this information sink in. The mist continued to swirl, until it once again lost form during the pause becoming simply a mass, softly radiating a slowly changing mixture of colors instead of any true image. "Which is why I have brought you here and I will not keep you much longer." it finally said.

"Earth teeters on Chaos, but more so does the entire universe. With the homeworlds and wonders devastated years ago the powers on the side of Order have dwindled and Earth remains the final stronghold of good and order. The scales have so long been uneven that if nothing is done soon it may be too late to ever recover it. But you can fix this."

"The time has come for the Knights of the universe to rise once more."

"I speak with you now because in this hour, I finally have the strength again to do so. And I am here to offer you all assistance in your journeys. "

"The Code is inside each of you. It is within your wonders, inside every living thing that spreads across the stretches of the galaxies and universes. And you can harness that power, use it to help balance the scales once more."

"All the power you need to regain the balance of the universe is out there if you search for it. You have strength in your brotherhood and comradery but you each have your own strengths in your individuality as well. Every idea is valid, only you yourself and your personal connection to the Code of your wonder together can determine the best way for you to perform and carry out your duties."

"You must quest, be it physically or mentally for what is best for you and this world. And you must seek the power you need to do it. It is possible to unlock the power you need and you will be rewarded for your efforts. Because this war is not over. But my faith is unwavering in you. All of you. You can win this war. And I will do all I can to help you."

"Uphold justice and reclaim a world in which peace can flourish once again. It is the most important mission there is."

With that the mist began shrink on itself, slowly and deliberately before finally dissipating leaving behind a quiet Coliseum.

The appearance of the code had been startling and for once, Ys had been rather quiet through the whole even. With the big weird thing speaking to all of them and all the questions flying around, he'd been distinctly uncomfortable. This talk of balance and fighting chaos... all he wanted to do was protect his small place in the universe and live his life how he wanted to live it.

Glancing over at Luxor, the Saturn knight shifted and made his bells ring, tension standing out all over his body.

"I don't know about you, but I'm more than ready to go home." Ys said softly to his partner, reaching up to self-consciously tug his vest down. "All this talk about fighting and the universe and stuff... feels a bit above my pay grade."
