Shun was about to continue his assault when someone had latched onto him. He was about to try and throw them off of him when he noticed it was... Gene? That was Gene right? He nearly didn't recognize her with all that... treasure. He still pushed himself away to give himself some personal space.
"That thing came out of Amrita. She's gone now, as far as I can tell."

Gene stared in silence for a while, eyes widening behind her sunglasses. "Th-that's Amrita...?" She stammered, sitting on the floor in shocked silence. As if she wasn't exhausted already...
"So, it's just like Xiu again." She finally sighed, attempting to stand up. This whole ordeal was really wiping her out. "We'll be saving her, in a way."

He took note of Gene's state, furrowing his brow and looking her over. Shun glanced between her and some of the others in the room.

The Doppelganger paused for a moment to consider if Shun was talking about her attire or her well being. She opted for the latter. "I got stuck in the maze for a while.. and took more treasures than I should have. I hardly have any FEAR left." She sighed, also looking to some of the younger ones.
It was against all her moral grounding, but... she would do so much more than they, to end this abomination.
"They won't make it anyway, will they."

Well that explained all the random bits Gene was now wearing. Granted, he wasn't certain what compelled her to take so much. It seemed to him all that would just weigh her down and make things more difficult. But his train of thought shifted as she brought up the younger ones. He knew what was going on in her head.
"Probably not, no," he said in a neutral tone, then looked back to the shadow creature that had consumed Amrita, "Sometimes, sacrifices need to be made."

Still carrying his cup of water, he wandered, determined to find the others and tell them all about the fountain, and the oddly heavy cup in which he carried some of that water.
He found the statue of the strange reaper again and frowned. He sighed at it and shook his head. "… I just really want to find my friends please, alright? I realize that it's a sign of insanity to talk to truly inanimate objects… but it felt like it worked in wonderland and to be fair I've been questioning my sanity since that point." He told the statue, before turning and continuing on his way.

He, and his precious cup found the treasure room once more, or perhaps it was a different one? he was having a hard time being sure he was so tired, and so HUNGRY. He considered walking out again, but… but there were really quite a lot of pretty things there. He shuffled form foot to foot before picking up a coin and, with heavy steps continued on his way.

He was alone.
He was alone and he didn't like it, he didn't like it at all. Llyr held the torch tightly in his hands and wandered aimlessly down the passageway, wishing he had not lost his new found friends so easily. The water was a soothing respite, and he lingered in it for a few moments too long before finally dragging himself away to try and find the way out of this wretched place.

The ache in his stomach was horrible. Llyr pressed a hand to it and tried to imagine other things, things like Merope and Erebus and people that he liked, like that new ghoul that had said hi to him, and water, and other pleasant things -

He stumbled, nearly fell, and almost dropped his torch, Llyr fumbling in the near darkness to make sure it didn't catch his robes on fire. He held it aloft and continued walking, his heart in his throat, and wished, not for the first time, that he had listened the first time they had told him not to go through the door.

He stumbled into the room and immediately wished he hadn't. Llyr fell to the ground and backed away on his hands and feet, scooting backwards until he hit a wall; and then he drew his knees up to his chest and wrapped his arms around them, staring in horror at the thing in front of them.
"No," he said decisively, "No, no, I don't like this, I don't like this - "

Another treasure room, he blinked at the glittering contents and shifted again from foot to foot, indecision warring with want before he gave in again like a scaled and starving magpie, he still wouldn't relinquish his treasure. He grabbed a sword and stuffed it through the leopard skin and continued on his way.
