Caiden was busy looking for his twin in the crowd. Admittedly that was probably not going to be the easiest job in the world. Just how many people wanted in this school anyway? Jeez. He hoped it didn't take him forever to join his sister here... He blinked when he realized someone was talking to him. And had apparently bowed. Um. Okay. Was he supposed to bow back? Yyyyeah, that wasn't gonna happen. Hopefully he wasn't breaking some kinda school rule or something. "Uh, yeah, that would be great actually, I was just looking for my sist- oh, there she is," he said when he heard her call his name. He grinned back and waved her over. "Good question, Cade." He turned to the one who'd offered to be his guide. "Mind if my sister tags along?" he asked. She'd be the one who would benefit from this tour more than he would. Well, right now anyway. He'd work as hard as he had to in order to be able to make the cut next time. "Oh, yeah, I'm Caiden, by the way, and this is my twin sister Cadence," he said and grinned. Sometimes they still managed to confuse people - especially when they used Caid and Cade as opposed to their full names - but this guy looked smart, so he shouldn't have a problem.

[NEW STUDENT LOOKING FOR A TOUR]
Desta wasn't sure what she got herself in to when she joined the crowd. Just that she was in it and people were jostling and yelling. Excited chatter. She felt like she should of stayed at home but then she was drawn to glancing toward what everyone was wearing. Commenting on it in her mind.
Mostly she kept her eyes downcast and her tail against her body. No need to cause problems early on.

[ NEWBIE STUDENT LOOKING FOR TOUR ]
Needless to say, Quillan arrived very very very very late to the open house. Or to be more accurate, he'd arrived at Amityville Academy early, eagerly anticipating to doors to open and had gotten distracted wandering around the perimeter of the campus. He'd neatly torn off the beginning pages of the little notebook in which he kept all his ideas and observations that had been filled with old concepts he was ashamed to admit he'd even written, and yet within the span of that day, Quillan had written twice as much as he'd ripped out. There was just so much to note, from architecture to students he could see beyond the gates. He finally made his way back to the entrance, much of the day gone, and as he waited patiently in the entrance line, all he could think about were the possible stories he could create with what he had so far. And the best part was, there was much more to see!
Quillan hadn't even noticed he'd made it to the front until someone from behind gave him a shove (he didn't consider this rude at all because he'd been holding up the line). Someone else kicked him, and now he was feeling a bit irritated because he didn't think holding up the line warranted that much physical abuse. Looking down, Quillan saw a garden gnome for the very first time in his life! It waddled off, and he chased after it, calling as he tried to not step on it, "Mr. Garden Gnome, can you tell me what it's like being that short? Mr. Garden Gnome? Mr. Garden Gnome!"

"I always appreciate a well put together outfit," Siddie laughed. "May I ask where you're from? Ah, my name is Obsidian, but you may call me Siddie if you like. I'm a living shadow, a monster." She offered her hand for a handshake.

Face your demons Yes, and VERY sorry about that lapse of reply, my muse redirected itself elsewhere again... This time into Photoshop ;3;' The sphinx blinked, staring at the boil, then looked back at the ghost. Bones but those bells were tempting still... His tail flicked as he looked mildly embarrassed. "I think others were having the same dream, really..."At her suggestion, he shrugged. "Sounds as good a plan as any!" Placing trust in her, he closed his eyes and waited.

Merry smiled a very knowing smile as she directed her gaze down to the bag of spookies the grue was holding. Delightful, just delightful. "Ahm is so thoughtful," she'd purr, pressing ever closer before the presence of another had her blinking up curiously into an unfamiliar face that was now looming over Ahm's shoulder. He asked a question, reaching for the treats before anyone had had time to answer, and Marry just stared in awe because you did not just steal spookies from a grue. Lips pursed, the Chimera straightened, stepping back half a step from the cloaked figure as this strange boil mentions his tail and offers to demonstrate. Strange, strange boil. Arms crossing, the chimera slipped back to lean against Nahm's side, watching the undead as he chewed on the pilfered spookie. Brows arched as she waited for him to do whatever it was he meant to do with that long tail of his.

Ahm blinked at the rotting fellow that pilfered his liberated spookies, then the twins 'discussed' how to deal with the situation. Normally they would have mauled someone stupid enough to pull that sort of stunt - you do not get between a Grue and it's food, seriously a bad idea - but if the undead opossum proved amusing enough... Ahm's expression matched that of his twin; Merry returned to Nahm's side and he shifted closer to the pair, so that he was not blocking the view when the tail-trick(s) happened. "Oh yeah, give us a thrill with your tail, dead boy." he said, snickering with his twin like they were in stereo. Saliru Careful there, the twins are not known for dealing kindly with having foodstuffs taken! :3 Luckily, Ahm is in a good mood~

[QUEST]Slaughter licked every last crumb from his hand before his attention slid back to the others. A flash of sharp teeth presented itself as he returned the smile. Oh goodie, fiends~ Slaw hadn't really met a grue before, let alone two. He wasn't really sure what to expect but he obediently turned around, presenting his back end and after lifting his long pink tail, began arching it up and down in actual waves along the length of it. When that got old, he decided to sharpen up the edges into a zig-zag and finish with a tight roll to his back. Keeping it rolled, he turned back around with a flourish. "How was that?"

"You're too kind," he blushed blue faintly but his stunted wings fluttered happily at the compliment. "Fantastic- I've never met a sentient living shadow!" Al shook her hand enthusiastically, "It's lovely to meet you Siddie! I'm Aloysious, if you want, you can call me Al- I don't mind either! I'm a demon, obvious I guess, but my family's all monsters." His ears flicked back nervously a brief second as something short blundered by, and he watched a gnome shove past nervously, "Ah- have you been going to Amityville for long...?" The demon scootched a little closer, as if the shadow ghoul would protect him.

Now, Molan wasn't particularly a person to judge. And by saying that there needed to be a pound and a half of sarcasm. He judged everyone. So when he saw a student NOT wearing a pass among the guests after returning from his own little venture. He could only stare. And stare rather hard he did.
He wasn't doing anything but looking as lost at the guests. Molan had been roped into this, the least other students could do was pull their weight. Which was why, after a moment of debate, he decided to approach him, looking down at the harpy. "Is there a reason the guests have more of an idea of what's going on than you?" It was a fair inquiry, and a lot nicer than he could have been. Look at those proper manners trying to do their job. SUCH AN ATTEMPT!Magician Arcana Prepare to get judged hard for being a failure student. /shot

Alex was simply waiting in the group, waiting... waiting...... waiting... Okay this was getting stupid. How long was he going to have to wait? Huffing, the Harpy contemplated flapping to the creepateria for a shakey when someone approached.
White hair, fox ears, a look of clear disdain... Why did this guy remind Alex so much of someone? His words were also sharp and icy. There was a hint of restraint to him too... If this was nice, Alexis did not want to see mean.
"Well, erm, uh.... Look, dude, I really don't know the school well enough to give a tour." Sheepishly he looked at the ground. A meandering gnome shot him a grumpy look before herding visitors to the proper lines. "I just started recently and haven't had much time to adjust so I was hoping... Someone would give me a tour?"
Giving Molan a lopsided grin he continued, "Whatcha say, bro? Help a harpy out?"

Dude? Did that guy just- No. No. He was going to let that go. Aside from the twitch his ear gave. Uhg. He was not a 'dude.' He'd heard enough of that silly speech in the game. Escaping should have rid him of all those folks. Why was it cropping up again? Regardless, he calmed himself enough to pay attention and shove it all down. Be the bigger demon. Be the bigger demon. "I see." That calculating voice that said he wasn't impressed.
At all.
"I have a brother, you are not him." He stated rather simply, still trying hard to hide the fact he was working overtime not to let the outright disappointment with his fellow student show. Slang. So much slang. Where was the proper, brought up with educated parents, speech that was so needed? Oh right, he was a monster. Sometimes this happened. Goodness. And he tried so hard not to judge by race. "I suppose I could do that. So long as you can bother wither a proper name." He added, only pausing briefly to take a breath and sooth the words he might have had down. "Which would be Molan. And youself?"
He'd agreed to help with this thing, even if it meant showing someone around who SHOULD know the way. Really. Just really.

If there was one thing the harpy deplored, it was being 'proper'. Just thinking about being all "How do you do, lovely weather. I heard your cat died, wot wot" made him want to scream totes in the air ten times. All right, maybe not that bad, but Alex hated the feeling that he was masking himself and his feelings. It was very clear, though, that Molan did not share a similar ideal. If anything, the fox was chaffing under the lack of proper decorum.
Well, if there was one thing the game taught him, it was that at times you had to change your attitude to work with others. Taking a deep breath, Alexis extended a clawed hand to Molan and nodded, "Nice to meet you du - Molan. I'm Alexis. You can call me Alex." He gave him an appreciative grin, hoping that his attempt at being ~civilized~ didn't go unnoticed.
"Uhm, thank you. For agreeing to help me out. It's really nice of you and all."

Molan, on the other hand, thought that the ability to manage and control ones emotions and random urges was to be applauded. Which was why he cringed at someone so painfully casual as Alex. Though it seemed that perhaps his words had made a dent as, despite the near slip up that caused his eyes to narrow a bit, the harpy managed to pass 'acceptable for work' level. Because this was a duty.
So after the words he extended a hand, shaking his with a mild nod. "Good to make your acquaintance." Yes, Alex. He was a piece of well looped up hoity toity. Deal with it. "Though you don't need to lay it on thick." He added, noting that the uhm suggested that, perhaps, the harpy was digging for words at that point. He didn't want a parade. He just didn't want to be 'one of the boys.' Because he wasn't. Father would never have accepted such a thing.
Silence a moment as he stared at the harpy and mentally sighed, part of it actually following through externally. "Let's get this going then." He turned, feeling rather silly to be leading a fellow student along. Not even a guest. This felt, perhaps, a bit like a failure in itself. He was supposed to be helping guests.
Oh this harpy was now dragging down HIS image as well. Even worse.Magician Arcana Fap along now bird. /shot so much

[A.V.] Gaia says your pm's are disabled! If you're still interested, want to set up with Mayya ? ;D Aloysious sensed some tension building amongst a few students or guests and decided he wanted to not be around to see what happened. He clopped his way away through the clumps of guests and tour-givers and tripped into a pretty ghoul, "Oh Jack!" he hissed, "I'm sorry! There's just- SO many people here!" He was... actually pretty estatic about that, since the excitement, anxiety and overall energy of the crowd was wonderfully intoxicating. It was almost kind of hard to focus on where he was going... obviously... ...he realized he was still staring at the ghoul and laughed, "WOW- Your wings! They're so PRETTY!" he gushed, grinning stupidly.
