The bolt of electricity struck the grombie mainly in the eyes, blinding her instantly. She flailed backwards and fell on the floor, where she stayed, temporarily stunned.

Lady Evangeline found herself screaming as blackness surrounded them all. She hated the dark, she was afraid of the dark. And now they couldn't see their attackers.

Minty had been running through the threads since leaving Monster in Chitter Chatter, not caring about direction. It finally seemed to her that it might be safe enough to stop and take stock of her surroundings. Besides, she was quite out of breath anyways.
"Addy's Slumber Party?" She looked around the snack, pillows and blankets abandoned, a group of people seemed to be huddled in the other side of the thread, Charming, Voltari...and Lady Evangeline! Perfect! There was one other with them that Minty didn't recognize, when Voltari zapped them and the lights went out...someone screamed.
"Fantastic." Minty's sarcasm unharmed by the events. She rummaged around and pulled out the blue paper lantern she'd been gifted during Easter. Clicking on the electric element, blue light illuminated the room, giving everything an eerie pallor.
"Everyone okay?"

"My apologies for startling you, miss. I don't believe I've had the pleasure. My name is Charlie, although my friends call my Charming. I'm sorry we couldn't meet under better circumstances, or lighter ones for that matter."

He said, hugging her close and nuzzling her hair in the dark,
"And I'm glad you are you and not a grombie, although I shall be happier if we can find a more way too keep that status quo."

"Ah, Miss Minty. Illuminating as ever."
He chuckled at his own joke,
"I believe we are all alright, aside from the unfortunate grombie. Which we should probably deal with before they regain their feet."
Volt was surprised when the lights went out. Usually that only happened when she hit an outlet or something. Though it'd come rashly, she was sure she only zapped the impending grombie.
"...Did I do that?"sweatdrop
Thankfully, a newcomer came to shed some light on things."Well that's a little better."Volt said, taking inventory of their new situation. The grombie was stunned, though it likely wouldn't last too long. Those lil' buggers were persistent!"Oh uh, I'm Volt by the way! I probably should've said that from the start but better late then never!"she introduced to Evangeline and Minty.

(Sorry for disappearing guys! Life got in the way...)
Orrin woke up from a long nap in the corner, as a strange rabbit was sniffing him in the face. "Whaa...? How did you get in here?" As he tried to pick it up to carry outside, its eyes turned vicious, and it hissed at him. Stumbling backwards, he noticed that the place was crawling with them. "W-w-what is all this?" The grunnies payed little attention to him, as if they thought he had already been turned. Looking around, he noticed some people a bit further away. Slowly, he made his way towards them, dragging his tired body along.
Sciurus mumbled a curse as he stubbed his toe on a piece of furniture. After someone explaining what the hell was going on, he'd gone off to raid some medical supplies only to get stuck with no lights. "Voyager, headlights please.""Sure thing." The big Plymouth van beside him stopped for a second, then his high beams were on and grunnies were everywhere. "O.O What the...?" Sciurus breathed a curse. "s**t RUN!" The surgeon bolted, aiming to be anywhere but here. Cleaver and Scalpel flashed as he hacked furry-killer-rainbows away.
A Grunny smacked into Voyager's windshield & he went nuts until a wiper smacked it away. "GET IT OFF!! Doc!" He swept up the surgeon into the drivers seat, looking for a way out. A mob of hissing grunnies gathered behind. Sciurus reached over and pushed the lock on the door; the doctor couldn't have been paler if he tried. "Um, Doc... Um.... HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!" Sciurus frantically tried to get the key in the ignition.

She was grateful for the lantern and nodded at everyone around. Minty she did know from before and was glad to see her safe and sound. "I... I'm Evangeline. It's n-nice to meet you both anyway." She said, hopefully they would all see it through this.
"W-we're all okay, um, I think.." She said and shuffled her feet a little, her eyes moving over to the doorway where three more grunnies were making their way inside, attracted by the people no doubt. Her bottom lip quivered, "B-but we might not be for long..."

She paled slightly. "F-from Monster?" That couldn't be good. Why would he want to give her something if he was safe? She took the letter with trembling hands and slowly opened it, trying to stop herself from crying before she knew the contents.
Without thinking, Evangeline read aloud.
"My dear Evangeline,
By the time you read this, it will be too late for me, but I want you to know, even in death, how much you mean to me. Your smile alone is enough to bring out the sun in the dark of night, your breath a soothing wind on a summer's day. My golden-haired maiden, stay safe, eat your vegetables, and know that even when my heart is unbeating, it will still be a vessel for our eternal love.
Till undeath do we part, Ogilvie "Monster" Hedgehog
And if this message doesn't wind up in the hands of my beloved, a message for you, survivor:
Keep up the good work at the whole surviving thing. You did better than me, at least."
By the end the paper was getting ruined with her fallen tears which had slipped without her noticing, his handwriting was getting smudged from the water. "No! No!" She sobbed, probably too loudly but that was past her concern, "Not Monster...." The very idea of coping through all of this without him was unbearable. What if he was gone forever? What if they were never able to cure them?
She sagged slightly, leaning on Minty. "Th-this is so... so unfair." She said, through her sobs, not even caring about any nearby grunnies or grombies.

It was the sound of someone crying that attracted him at first, grombies didn't cry. He managed to get rid of a few grunnies along the way, edging along the dark wall along the hallway leading towards the room the slumber party had been held in. It was lit up by a blueish lantern - convenient for them, although it also offered a view of the dangers... and Minty.
Finally. And she was safe - or at least, not turned. His heart sank in relief and the royal let out a breath he was unaware was being held, thank heavens.

All of Cae's attempts to harm anyone had, thus far, been unsuccessful. She was left aimlessly wandering the halls, until the sound of footsteps and a faint human figure alerted her to the presence of someone else. The scent was of someone still-living, so the starving grombie trailed behind.
Eventually, she caught up with her target and, with a tackle driven by hunger and frustration, knocked him to the ground. With the knife she had held on to since the last hours of her life, she stabbed the royal in the shoulder, with even more brutality than normal. The scent of blood filled her nostrils, and in her frenzy, she bit the wounded area and tore off a chunk of flesh.

He was completely taken aback, thrown to the ground. Prince hadn't even heard his attacker and his face slammed into the dirty floor, disorienting him briefly. He groaned and made to move away when a searing pain passed through his shoulder, before he could stop himself, the Prince cried out with the affliction.
His world began to spin, breathing in the smell of his own blood the brunette felt teeth sink in to his back and groaned slightly, trying to stay as quiet as possible. The last thing he wanted was the people in there to meet the same fate - although that wouldn't be the case for long. Not now. Xavier knew he had been infected, it was only a matter of time.
He turned his head to see who had done it - although the stabbing had already given him his suspicions which were only proven correct. "I thought it would be you." He muttered through gritted teeth and with the strength of his other arm he pushed Cae backwards and into the wall.
His sword and crown had both fallen onto the floor with a loud clatter when he had first been attacked. The noise had been bound to alert the people in the room at some point. although he would have rathered it didn't.
"Don't come any closer!" He said, sitting himself up and leaning back on the wall, clutching his shoulder. "Cae's here, she's got a.. knife and she's a grombie..." The last thing he wanted was them to meet the same fate, although Xavier knew that he wouldn't feel that way for very long. It was only a matter of time.

"A c-cure.." Evangeline said, wiping her eyes and trying to compose herself. It didn't do to cry in public like this. But her heart wasn't in her words and when she heard the noises that attracted Mintys attention she glanced over, but she didn't care about their source.
What was the point anymore? She may as well just give up and get bitten. If Monster couldn't survive or outrun these, then what chance did she have?
(I have to run, so if you like just say Evangeline followed but kept to herself and was quiet and crying or something! )
