He got in one more attack before falling back, ignoring the alert from his Pokedex letting him know that his HP was running a little bit on the low side. That much was obvious, but at least he had done his part. Now it was time to regroup.
He kept his defenses up as he backed away from the Queen, glancing over to make sure that Inoke was ok before checking on Quinn, who'd gone quiet. "You alright?" He murmured. "I mean... As alright as you can be, all things considered?"
3/5 solos She was not going to go down without a fight, she was going to stand strong and keep fighting until her last breath. Or what the digital equivalent of that was. The Cheshire Cat Wraith snarled as she ran towards the Red Queen, she had no intention of slowing down, hopefully if she ran into her hard enough she could knock the other over. That would make her easier to defeat. Her reaction time would be slower after that would it not? Unfortunately it was not so, the queen was much bigger than Rhythm, a large imposing figure and the tackle that Rhythm attempted as barely felt by the monsters humanoid.
Rhythm slashed at the queen before dodging backwards, she didn’t want to get hit again, it would not take that many for her to be knocked out. She could not afford to take hits that she could avoid if she was focusing. She needed to stay alert to keep her head clear, focus on what was going on around her, focus on the battle. She had people who trusted her, who needed her, and she needed them too. She was not going to let them down; she would help them take down this monster and the monster behind it. The one who was pulling the strings of this crazy game dream. She would fight and claw her way back to the real world one boss fight at a time. There was a rhythm to the battle, dodge and then run around trying to find a good spot to attack from and then wait before striking, strike fast swiftly and powerfully to do a large amount of damage to the enemy and then to jump away fast before the other could retaliate. The rhythm, the tempo the beat of the battle was simple.
That however did not mean that the fight was easy, not it was very hard indeed. It was very hard, she was just barely dodging each of the attacks that the queen was doing to her, her moves where slowing down. She was starting to get tried, but Rhythm refused to slow down. She would keep going as long as she could; so long as she could stand she would fight. She dodged again and rolled to the side striking out her opponent’s feet as she did so. She was slower to get back to her feet than she had been before but she refused to miss any opportunity to attack, to miss an opening.
Her breath came in fast but short bursts, her lung heaving as they tried to take in enough air to keep her going. She would rest; soon she would have to rest. For the moment however she was able to keep going. And keep going she would, she would keep pushing herself to fight, she would find and test her limits if only because she had no choice but to keep fighting. Fighting for what she believed in, that no one had the right to replace them, that people were not replaceable.

McCowboy lashed out against the Red Queen with a fury of attacks, but he knew was not long for this battle. The Queen was wearing him down and his health was nearly drained. He did not want to go out like this, but what other choice was there? Any other option was just a fantasy – there was a high chance of his death either way, but at least this way he would die doing something that felt was brave and justified. He needed to see the Red Queen fall, even if it meant his own death.
He used a small moment in chaos to find some solace in hiding. He took a moment to think of home – his connections there. They were starting to feel like fleeting memories at this point. He thought of the new connections he made in Wonderland. Sure, they weren’t anything particularly deep, but they were other lives and he was fighting for them. He couldn’t let them down.
He emerged from the shadows of hiding and marched back into the fray with his weapon drawn.
“I will END YOU, Red Queen,” he barked at her, pointing his weapon at her as he advanced onward. The Red Queen smirked. He was not match for her.
As he charged forward, she lunged into him with her weapon, penetrating him through the gut. He gasped for air as the weapon crossed through him. His face went pale, his hands chilly and cold. He felt the life punctured straight out of him like a deflating balloon, falling, falling, falling…
The cowboy fell back to the ground, fatally wounded. He weak, too weak to do much more than flutter his eyes as he tried to inhale some air. He choked on his breath as his body trembled, his nerves sending out one final shock through his body as it went into a shutdown mode towards his death. It was the end, as easy as that – any chance of being a hero was stripped straight from underneath him by the cruel Red Queen. He was dead....
He was defeated. He had lost it all.

Frostpaw would like to take a moment to remind everyone that he was mentally griping about a certain tiny bear. Oh yes he had.
So back to where he was. Ahem.
So about the land of cakes, sweets, and giant friggin' cheshires. As if a corrupted one wasn't bad enough, Alice. But that was for later, this was for now. He grimaced, striking at the queen. "I had to fish that Jello you know." He stated blandly, recalling the flailing legs as the bear had done a rather odd swan dive of sorts into it from a spoon. There was a warning sign there for a reason!
And it wasn't the first time he'd ended up in a pool of honey when he'd been shoved in. 'For his own good.' Of course. Frostpaw was still sure he had bits and pieces of honey and tart stuck in his tail. And it was only HALF THERE! ...who makes a bear that crazy, puts them in a game, and-
Wait was the bear really a player? Sure he had the name and all, but he might have been as batty as some of the NPCs. He may have paused to muse over it at that point, tapping a claw at his chin while those around him continued to strike at the queen. Moment of thought on the battlefield, great timing.
... ...
Nah. The bear had to be a person. He didn't want to imagine that there were too entities that crazy in reality. He was also now certain, after some musing, that his brother might have liked the crazy bear. If only for the fact that they'd come up with the same insane plots and drag him into them. ..such an alliance should never be permitted to be made. Ever. Never ever. He'd have to bolt his door shut. And maybe then go hide in the woods. Or find out how to prolong the invisibility card. Whatever it took to avoid their notice for all eternit-
SMACK!
And then the queen decked him for his transgressions and moment of thought. How DARE he not pay attention, right?
He grumbled as he pulled himself back up, his minipets once more darting to his aide as they pranced about in all their glory to patch him up. Good brightly colors fluffy things. He rubbed at his shoulder which had took the brunt of the force. "Rude." And then promptly dashed toward the woman with all the ferocity of a properly angered cheshire.
Because hey, why not?
And slashed her up a bit. And where was he again? Right. He still had honey caught in his half there tail. Dang bear. not to mention 'I BET THERE ARE OTHER ROOMS IN THE PYRAMID!' and... he wasn't going to discuss what they'd found. Such horrors were best left unspoken. And that poor, poor sugarcube. Who knew a bear could ingest that much sugar.
Well he did. Now.
What was he doing again? Oh right, properly thrashing the red queen. Well he still had griping to do for Alice. OH ALICE DID HE HAVE THINGS TO SAY! (507 Words)

He left the Temple and made his way to the battlefield, reluctantly, but he made it. The red queen froze Big in his tracks, and had might have stayed there forever had he not gotten a message from Blight. He responded quickly, keeping one eye on the queen.

Big extended his new claws at the queen, falling back as his attack shot forth. It was more powerful. That didn't make it any more frightening.

So moving on from the land of sweets, feelings, and harmony (with less elements.) Then came that raid. He had touched on that a LITTLE bit, but did she (Alice) realize what it was like to have to be in that place for that long with the bear?
No breaks? He wasn't even talking about the bosses, or being thrown into numerous walls, or the potentially permanent mental anguish. No, no he was just talking about hearing 'WE CAN DO IT GUYS,' and 'YEA!'
For hours. Upon hours. And some more hours. And how many times he had lost count. That bear was so perpetually happy. And he hadn't even let him get away from it by dying. Cruel and unusual much? He grimaced as he swung at the queen. No, Teddy had insisted on picking him right back up and making him be a beating toy for the boss and listen to the racket and-
Well he would have heard it on the floor anyway. He hadn't exactly been given a respawn timer.
...sigh. Alice, why did you have to go and do that?
Regardless, next came the Red Queen's castle. That one wasn't so bad. He'd hidden most of it. Until that time Teddy found out about the disguises. OH THEY HAD TO GO TRY THEM ON! ...how had Teddy know he'd worn a Tiara, Cthulu Mask, and a Garbage Bag cape? Because he insisted that he had to see it. That combination. Playing dress up with a giant child of a companion was a peculiar and rather troublesome experience. That lasted to long. He'd also been proclaimed the King from Below. A title he was going to just let die in this game. No one ever needed to know.
But Alice, oh dear Alice. It was your fault Alice. He wasn't going to forgive you.
Also you killed Olivia. He hadn't forgotten.
He slipped closer to the queen again at that point, having finished with ranting about the bear for the time being. His guild wasn't THAT bad, aside from captain hyper on twenty five horror energies! Seriously, lay off the caffeine... or happy pills... or whatever it was he was on.
Minus that one time he had a panic attack in the room. But that was just so peculiar that he was going to let it slide as this one time thing. You know... never happened. Minus the whole everyone dying. And Alice killing Olivia.
Still not giving that one up. Anger.
He paused, thinking about it for a moment. Yea, he did perhaps need to look into that pent up anger sometime. Or perhaps find a good outlet for it. That wouldn't do for his goals at all. Certainly a point of improvement to be had there.
...wasn't he supposed to be wailing on the queen? Right. Slashy, slashy, hacking away and why hadn't her limbs fallen off yet? Dood she had so much hea- oh... oh jack no. Now he was starting to sound like Boi. His life was over. (502 words)

sweetm00n was getting tired, but it wasn't because of the fighting. With her puppet body, she could keep going until her health ran out, but there was only so much repetition you could take before you were mentally fatigued. To distract herself, she tried to imagine the potentially best outcome for all this crazy ... thisness that was wonderland. Obviously the absolute perfect ending would be to wake up and find out that it /had/ really been such a dream. Simply her dream, or a nightmare, or a mix of both. But of course, that would be bizarrely impossible, she had never had a dream like this before. And to have thought up all these people, and be able to remember it so clearly? No, it wasn't that. But considering the option was pleasing.
The second, of course, would be that the skies would clear, the shadows would pass, ALICE would reveal that everything she said all along was more lies, and that completing the game they would be free, and there would be rainbows and more cake. The queens would be defeated, the puppets would give them hugs and wave them off, and they would wake up none the wiser. This as well, wasn't anything she seriously considered, but was a nice alternate to the reality going on.
Obviously they were going to wake up, the alternates weren't worth considering seriously. But what was worth considering was would happen when they awoke. Would they remember this? She didn't know who anyone else was, not really. Would everyone else at the school look at her as though she was nuts? Would it be a secret she'd have to keep shut up? On one hand it would be so isolating, on the other .... well no, if she never managed to find anyone from the game in real life, she would probably think she had gone mad and imagined it all. That was not a favourable outcome. If it were to be like that, she would be better off just forgetting it all. And to be honest, there were some parts that she would be utterly willing to forget. The glitches, ALICE's 'special' form, that jabberwock, and all the uncomfortable piercing questions and self-revelations. Those, she really wouldn't mind sealing off behind a closed door.
It wasn't that sweetm00n hated reflecting on things, it was just the way it had felt forced out of her. All the times she had remembered and the futures she had imaged had been pulled out of her, rather than coming naturally. And she resented it, that the game had treated them as points to get experience, and level ups. That is why the battles had been better, funner, although the raids again had descended into that horribly invasive - she remembered what ALICE had said. It was all data being gathered so she could understand the players more fully. So the copies would be realer. But sweetm00n wasn't -like that- she didn't dwell on thoughts like those. Even if her copy was ever activated, and she would rather bite off her own thumb before considering it, it wouldn't really be her at all, if all that was being collected was nothing but short fragmented bursts of memories and hopes. And then... he was getting weary of this. Tiring out with his continued hacking away at the queen as fiercely as he could.
Really, why wasn't this over? Why wasn't it done? Why had this psychotic wall of a beast fallen? "Right... because Alice made you that way?" He briefly glanced at the figure, striking it again as roughly as he could, claws raking against it as he too was beaten back by her strike. Not that he had any chance to give up, to let it go. No, he had to win! They all did! This was GREATLY IMPORTANT!
Because if they didn't, wouldn't it mean that they would be trapped her? Perhaps if anything that Alice had said was true, maybe that? He was still asleep in reality, he'd woken up, if only for a moment, and nearly felt as if he could grasp the blankets of his bed. And then he'd fallen back into this dark, twisted realm of a game that was made solely for the purpose of what...?
"Creating and army to hold you back?" He mused bitterly, slashing again as he beat at the queen further. "If you, if Alice truly want to create a sense of fear that would halt those who oppose you in their paths, you'd know better than to use something so simple." Even a destructive monster that chewed him up and spit him out wouldn't deter him. He had things worth going back to in reality. Because he was the real him, not some doll. And perhaps Wonderland was nice to visit, but not so great a place to stay forever.
He struck again.
"Let me tell you a story." He offered, leaning closer to the marionette known as the red queen, eyes narrowing. "There once was a vicious magician." Another strike. "He wanted revenge for all that had happened. So he struck at the world to destroy it." Another slash. "But he was stopped. But all of those around him. For no one would side with destruction, not knowing what it truly was." He swung again. "So one of protection rose up, he gained followers, he won. Even against such poor odds." Why couldn't his singular strikes do more damage? This was so very tiring. "And that is why destruction can never win." He swiped one last time before stumbling back a few steps, panting. "So you'll fall... we'll make sure of it."
His body stung from the strikes the queen had left on him, his pets too tired to keep going as strong as they had before. But it was fine, he could take care of it. He shook his head, backing away a bit slowly as he continued to take in a few lasts breaths to calm down.
Perhaps... perhaps that was enough? He needed a short rest, at least to prepare for whatever she might throw at them next...
Hopefully he'd be ready? No... no that wasn't right. He looked around him at the mass of fighters working so hard to bring her down. Perhaps that would be ready. Hopefully. (508 Words)

Usagi preferred not to resort to violence when she could, but it seemed all her fellow teammates were gathered here to take down the red queen. She wasn't sure why it was needed, but perhaps, this really was just like a game! Whoever took down the opposing faction's boss first was the winner, right? And this was... jut a game. No one was actually going to die. Yes, she told herself this. Just a game!
And so with head held high, holding her newly-obtained vuvuzela. She raised her head, and pointed. "We will take you down now, red queen! We shall win!"
