Asher would have ignored the question, but he knew how much Leo hated silence. He didn't want to hurt his brother, though, for his thoughts had been completely negative and depressing. Nonetheless, he had to answer and he didn't want to lie to him. "I was just wondering if you're really happy with me," he admitted. "You always seem to feel guilty about my working to support us, I'm hardly here to take care of you, and I'm not the best at comforting you. I sometimes feel like a bad brother just because I can never keep you happy. I wonder if maybe it's best I find a good family for you."

Leo was about to take another sip of his tea when he heard what his brother said, he almost couldn't believe his ears, his brother would really give him up like that? "What...? Find me a good family....you are my family." he said a bit shakily, placing his cup back onto the table and standing up. "Why would you say such a thing? I know it's tough right now but I don't want to be with anyone else!" he said through the tears, fighting to keep the lump away from his vocal cords. Leo went into the livingroom to put on his shoes once more and his coat which was still soaking wet. He put on his jacket with some strained effort and turned to face his brother. "I'm going for a walk, when I come back that thought had better be out of your head.....otherwise the next time I leave the apartment....I'm not sure if I'll come back." he said softly as he left the house. Leo was sure to walk along the sidewalk with his hand against the wall to tell him where he was until he got to the corner of the complex and parking lot.

"Leo, please," Asher had begun, hoping to explain why he thought of such, but Leo had already left. He was left alone and strangely unable to go after him. He hated being hardly able to lie to his brother, and he hated having such thougts in the first place, but he worried so much. What if something had happened to him? A well-structured family would have provided for him even once Asher is unable to. Couldn't Leo understand that? So why did Asher feel so bad? Why couldn't he justify himself when it came to Leo? -- A slight humming in the pouring rain did little to make the freezing cold bearable, at least for Samuel. He grumbled and muttered curses, actions that were so off if anyone only knew about his cheerful facade. He trudged on, trying to return to his new home from an hour of simply walking. His friends and sister must have been worried ever since he told them he would get food, only for him to lose the money, and took a long time getting back. Samuel bumped into someone, a body much smaller than he, and he would have yelled at the person if he didn't recognize him. It was the kid who went to the diner earlier today! "Whoops, sorry. Didn't see ya," he said, trying and failing to put his cheerful side back on. "Something wrong? You look miserable."

Leo started down the sidewalk away from the complex but it seemed as though the first step he took ran right into another person. Leo fell right on his face, his hands had managed to break his fall but it still hurt and he grumbled a bit as he forced himself to stand up a bit shakily. "Hey I'm the one who's blind so watch---wait a minute...I know you from somewhere..." he said once he had time to recognize the voice speaking to him.

ninja "Yeah, yeah, I figured you would," Samuel said, reaching for the kid's hand to help him up. "Nice to meet you again. Name's Samuel. Insert other introduction. Now, care to answer my question? Did something happen?" He wasn't feeling like being all happy-go-lucky right now.

"My name is Leo. You're from the diner, I recognized your loud voice." he said with a small smile, although his voice didn't seem so loud with the rain pounding on them. He didn't want to tell a complete stranger about his problems with his brother, all he wanted to do was forget about what Ash said. "Yeah I'm fine....just out for a walk in the rain." he lied, though he didn't think he did a good job to be convincing. Still, he was sure the stranger didn't want to hear all about his problems.

Samuel rolled his eyes. "It's kinda obvious that you're not fine. Walking in the rain just sounds weird unless you're asking for a flu," he said crossing his arms. "Got into a fight with your boyfriend or something?" It wasn't like he wanted to pry into whatever was causing Leo to look so down, but he was curious. It must have been bad if he was out here instead of in the safety of the building.

Leo blushed, mainly from the cold rain, but also at the man's question. "B-Boyfriend!? No, he's not my boyfriend. The man I was with in the diner is my brother. And yeah...we had a fight. I don't really want to talk about it though.." he said softly, giving another sneeze and a sniffle. Now that he thought of it, it seemed to be getting colder, and no wonder, the sun was starting to set. In the fall season it always seemed to get colder when the sun went down.

Samuel raised an eyebrow. Brothers? They didn't look anything alike, but maybe they were just brothers by adoption or something. That would make sense. His thoughts were interrupted when he heard Leo sneeze. "If you don't want to talk about it, fine, but you can't be sulking out here. How about you come to my apartment?" he offered, not planning on taking a refusal for an answer. "It's near yours, I think. I don't know. Your brother greeted me and my buds a while ago. Anyway, you can go home any time you want to. So, what do you say?"

Leo looked off into space for a moment or two, his brother had always told him never to talk with strangers, that rule was broken before Leo had a chance to think about it. He was sure his brother would strongly object to him going over to a stranger's house but the other man was right, if he stayed out here he would get sick. "Alright. Um...do you mind if I hang onto your arm while we walk there?" he asked rather embarrassed, he wasn't sure where the man's apartment was and he didn't want to get lost in the parking lot.

"Well, I have to lead you, don't I? I can't expect you to follow me normally," Samuel said as he extended an arm to Leo. "Now, come on. I don't want to stay in this rain any longer, and I'm sure you don't want to, either." He could tell the kid was a bit uncomfortable, and rightly so. They hardly knew each other, and Samuel was already bringing him to his apartment. It wasn't like he planned on doing anything to him, but it was still a bit awkward.

Leo nodded and tentatively took the other man's arm to follow him. Once they were in the apartment he stood at the door, unsure of where everything was in the room but something smelled really good. "Whats that smell? It's like....watermelon....or something...." he said as he inhaled through his nose.

"We're making smoothies," Samuel replied as he led Leo inside. "We're supposed to be making other things, too, but..." He didn't want to finish, and he didn't have any time to, as someone rushed past him and Leo's hand was no longer on his arm. As he turned around, he saw his younger twin sister practically hugging the life out of the poor kid as if he was a puppy. "Erm... Leo, meet Sasha, my sister."

Leo jumped at the feeling of someone hugging him to death and for a moment he almost wanted to call for his brother. He didn't usually like people to sneak up on him, especially when he doesn't know that there are more than one person in the room. "U-um....hi..." Leo said bashfully as he extended a hand outward to try and find any kind of furniture. "I'm sorry to be a bother, but could you tell me where the couch or a chair is?" he asked as he took his first couple of steps into the living room and stumbling on an end table.

Samuel had to gesture for Sasha to let go before he took Leo by the hand once more and led him to the couch. "It's pretty old and not the fluffiest thing, but it's a nice couch," he said as he helped the kid sit. "I hope you weren't bothered by Sasha. She does that a lot with kids." She's also deaf, he would have included, but it wasn't the best thing to say to a nearly complete stranger.
