"Playing...what?" Mimsy dropped one of the runes she was holding, and defensively eyed the admirable new division assistant, lest he try to 'deal with her' again. "I...I'm fairly certain it isn't as complicated as that, whatever it is. Select one, and another that matches that one, and put them together."
Wait.
"Not ones that don't go together. Not this time. Ones that do." She demonstrated with the remaining runes she held, smiling in greeting to Shiloh.
"Hello again. No need to thank me. Now we match, too." Kind of. As much as ducks and bees matched. Maybe she shouldn't actually be matching things.

In an instant, everything had gone blue. And stayed blue, for quite a while. Sticky too. It was not a far leap of logic to assume he was dead, or at least, well on his way to it. He'd tried to escape from wherever or whatever it was, but it proved completely ineffective. So he stopped bothering. For some reason he had always imagined he'd at least see it coming, even if it was unavoidable. Not this time, apparently. Song blamed Mimsy; it had been her idea to hold the party. Neither of them were in much of a mood to talk. It just wasn't really a great time. Lucky could hear muffled sirens in the distance. There was a bright flash, a sickening thud, and all at once he had been deposited on the ground again in a thick blanket of blue slime. He only spent a few moments in complete disbelief before he too scrambled to follow the sound of the shouting, blaring, and - whistling?

Robert sucked at putting the right shape in the right hole "get your head in the game, twinkle toes." Leon scolded quickly. there was no mercy for the ones that were almost turned into nutrients.
It made him so mad, he too forgot how to shape for a moment there.

LIFE DIVISIONPlasma Ray Charge: 9"Oh, so like.. a puzzle." That was a completely different game. He picked out pieces, and looked for corners, because that was how you won at puzzles. Hey. It worked, didn't it? He held up the correctly matching pieces, beaming at Mimsy like a child who'd just discovered how to potty. "Look! Look! I did it!" "You know what Leon?" He put down the three runes he'd just connected, charging the ray up with them, and ripped off his slimy, disgusting shirt. Then he threw it at Leon's chest. "Stuff THAT in your hole!" He barked out in laughter. Who ever said killing monsters couldn't be fun?

Behind Leon appeared a hunter who was mostly unidentifiable - the life tree on his jacket was just barely able to be made out, but the rest of him was obscured by globs of traslucent, faintly glowing blue slime. Even his glasses were coated in it. He reached up to wipe some away, but given his arms were also covered, he may have only succeeded in wiping more onto himself than off. "Uh," he implored Leon from under the blue monster vomit, "Do you mind filling me in?"

LIFE DIVIS 3/4 zap zap charge: 12 It was kind of pitiful to leon, the poor hunters that became treats for the rampaging beast that wanted to eat them all. "Oh? how was the party in the tummy, entree?" he quipped up cheerfully. He was not the one covered in bright blue regurgitation, the fact that the hunter was struggling to see and trying in vain to wipe it off with more of the mucous-y material, had sympathy from the boxer. Never Robert, no lunchables for him. ever. But for the spectacled hunter that was looking for a briefing, there was a green scarf for sacrifice to the needs to be cleansed. "try cleaning the glasses off this. mostly we are trying to fight back, find runes and match them up to power the gun with them." it was brief and to the point, much like himself. The hunter grimaced as a wet plop hit his chest, the soiled fabric holding its position for a moment until gravity worked its magic and brought it to the ground. He was now blue too. "Robert, remember that we are putting things in holes. and I think its time to hold and experiment, to see if my foot can fit up your a**."

Ami? Ami was not happy. Ami was pissed the ******** off. She had worked REALLY ******** hard to make her home a happy, comfortable one with the very meager pay they received. Hours upon hours of repairs after the shadowlings attack at the beginning of the year.
SO TO FIND IT DESTROYED AGAIN WAS REALLY VERY NOT COOL.
Her hands slammed on the runes box and she began muttering to herself. "

Life DivisionMimsy managed to get one single thing accomplished before she was startled by shouting. She dropped half of the runes and gave Robert a mildly panicked look, which she tried to cover with a smile. "Yes, you did! Continue that process! Con--" No. No, he deserved no congratulations now, and she had no idea what was happening anymore. "I will not make the claim that this is a particularly difficult science, but I think that it is fair to say that this is will be a difficult situation if it is not done correctly, so..." She trailed off, hoping the rest of it would be obvious enough for them to fill in on their own. But considering the fact that she had just been irritated that matching runes together was not obvious enough for them, it was unclear why she thought this. Plasma Charge: 14

Plasma Ray Charge: 17/20Robert laughed in a manner that sounded almost.. seal-like, at Leon's threat. He even considered turning around and waving his a** at the man, but there really was work to be done.. so his hands kept on doing it. He was also glad he didn't like that shirt. Leon was never going to give it back. "I'M PUTTIN' THE s**t IN THE DAMN HOLES LEON CHRIST-" He held two of them together and shoved them roughly into one another, over and over, while holding them out in his direction. "SEE. UNFUNFUNF." The runes snapped into place, and he set them in to charge the laser. He was doing pretty good! But Mimsy's initial reaction made him snort, until she stopped herself. She stopped herself from placating him, and told him the honest truth. What they were doing wasn't rocket science, but it was important. No sweet words of praise. No pat on the head. No juice box. Robert forgot all about Leon for a moment, and lingered a side glance at Mimsy with smug, smirking satisfaction. "Yes, dear."

She was probably making this more difficult for herself than it needed to be. She had a brief moment of worry for Gale and Marcus (Stormy and Cass?). Had they made it out of the towns okay?
Lex she was at least assured on. He'd had portal duty this morning. Still. Gale's accent and Marcus' face were not something she wanted this world to lose.
