*Shortstraw nodded and picked up theador who basilcy fell asleep in his arms, as he then reached out to take Evelins hand, to then lead her carfully up the stairs, "come on now your Momma has spoken. We all have to go to bed now. Tell you what we can go to town and look fro dresses tomorrow maybe." He nodded, "my princess will be the best looking girl there."
Meanwhile Lilly chukkled, "my It's fun to watch you two with kids. Reminds me when yuji was trying so hard to treat you girls like that and you ended up buring him, or kick him, or running away." She smerked ot keria, "or in your case, not lisen." She giggled, "it's so weird seeing things like this now." She nodded however, "no problem i know you got things to keep up on,the cooking is my job in the family. I'll take care of it."

Evelin smiled up to her father. "You mean it?" Kiera smiled as she watched the others leave and looked back to Lilly. "There are things I wish I could have done better, but I'm happy with what I have now. No regrets." She glanced over to Kyle who still sat there with a concentrated face. "Are you going to bed now too Kyle? I know your dad isn't here at the moment to tell you." Kyle glanced up to Kiera with a small smile. "Yes mrs Yokai. I'm going to bed now too. Don't worry about father, he'll be back soon." Kyle slid off his chair and wandered out of the room however not to go up the stairs, instead he went to the living room. Kiera watched him leave the room with a sigh. "That kid.." Even though her and Kyle were cousins it felt like they were worlds apart. She sighed and shrugged as she leaned back in her chair.

*Shortstraw put theador down int he crib and picked up evelin to stand her up in it. "Of course i mean it." He kissed her forhead, "so make sure your rested up so we can spend the whole day looking for the perfict dress." He looked to her with aww, "good night hunny. Sleep well."
Lilly nodded, "well in the end you and yuji still turned out okay. I'm happy for that. However he did leave me a message with some of you when i spoke with him. Mostly about Hana though. He sees a horrable futcher for her, he wishes me as a last regard to pick her up when her face hits the dirt. To help all of you when needed, all that sorta stuff." She smerked in her own little world as she started dishes she mumbled, "that yuji... he also told me to find someone i love. But he was blind the whole time to know i already had but lost him." She chukkled, "then again shortstraw is blind to alot of things too, but better then yuji was."

Kiera smiled. "Men are blind to many things. Women and men are so much different in this way. Women see everything but nothing. While men see nothing but everything." She chuckled a little. "Ah.. here I go with rambling again. I'll stop myself while I'm still ahead." She stood up and smiled to Lilly. "Thanks, Lilly. I really appreciate all that you're doing for this family. Especially Dante and Hana. If there is anything you need at all, come to me, okay?" She smiled more. "I'm a magic genie living in a lamp these days." She giggled slightly before moving out of the room and up the stairs. Evelin was out already as soon as she laid herself down.
A little time after they had gone to bed Mordekai came stumbling through the door, clutching his head. Kyle watched him through the doorway from the darkness of the living room but didn't advance towards his father. He just watched. "Urgh..." Modekai grunted and rubbed his eyes before trailing into the kitchen to get himself a glass of water.

*Veria appeared in the to walk out the darkness behind him, "Uncle... have you picked up a ... new bad habit?" She asked as she leaned on him to hol dhim in place as she leaned forword. She was doing this mainly becuse of kyle. She understood to a point how he must have felt to see his father like this. "Becuse if you keep drinking your sorrows away like this, then your going to end up as bad as you know who over time." She tested him.

Mordekai scowled a little as he shrugged her away and downed the whole glass of water in one gulp. "It's nothing new, Veira." He coughed and went to sit down. "All three of us siblings had a drinking problem at one point." He rubbed his eyes. "In all honesty, my dearest deceased evil sister was the last one of us to start drinking." He winced as his headache still continued. "You have no right to patronize me about things you know nothing about." He had somewhat of a shorter temperament when he was drunk. Although there were all kinds of drunk people. When Amelie was drunk, she used to get very happy and destructive. When Hikari was drunk, she used to become introverted and sad. Mordekai just gained a short temper.

*Veria shook her head, "well even so it's dissapointing. If you were my father, and i was here wihtout you becuse you were out drinking how do yo uthink i would feel hmmm?" She crossed her arms, "I hope your getting the point." She grew less angry and sat next to him, "uncle I know... your sad about things and always will be. But there is a point where you have to draw a line. It's even more sading when i see you like this. Knowing you wont most likely remember a thing i say to you tonight when you wake up int he morning. I love you almost like a father... i do hope you understand, i'm trying to look out for you, and your son the best i can. But i dont try to get too close becsue then i would be forcing things. I know how i get somtimes, so i'm staying distant but still trying to help. I think Kyle even dislikes me more then the others. ANd dont be fooled, he's a good, smart kid. But everyone has that other side to them. I would know, i have three sides. If you remember this tommorw... please consider to think about what i said tonight." She kissed his forhead and looked in the direction of kyle but stood up, "dont stay up too late." She replied back to him as she walked out the kitchen through the living room, right past kyle as she looked back and kept going all the way up to her room. She didn't say anything through brainwaves, afrade mordikei may hear. If she didn't reach to him, she hoped she reached to kyle.

Kyle watched Veira walk away then glanced back to his father curiously. Mordekai put his face in his hands a sobbed a little. "I can't do this..." He writhed a little. "I can't do this without her..." Kyle watched his father for a few more moments before moving back over to his usual spot at the window to look up at the sky. It was cloudy, so he couldn't see the stars. Not that it mattered all too much. But Kyle oh so loved to stare at the stars. "Isn't it sad when a child has more capability than an adult.."
It took two weeks exactly to plan the gathering. In which it took most of that time to get all of the leaders to agree to attend. They were still stubborn, but Kiera and some of her allies had managed to coerce them. In this time also Mordekai and Kyle had gone back to Japan again. Kyle was still dilligent on wanting to come to the ball to oversee Evelin and Theodore however Mordekai was strongly against it. He really didn't want to go to a social event like that. It scared him right to his core. Whether or not Kyle or Mordekai would be attending was still a mystery. And so came the day of the ball. The castle was frantic however Kiera was unruly calm. It seemed she was confident that nothing was going to go wrong, and she had helped set up the large unused ball room. Dante stayed upstairs in his room and had refused to come out until the actual thing had started. It took him a while to pick out a suit to wear... again. "There... that should do it." Kiera smiled as she fixed Theodore's tiny suit and then squealed a little. "You look so cute!" Evelin patted up to her mother in her own beautiful little dress. "Will you have a dress too mommy?" Kiera smiled with a nod. "Of course.. I'll get changed soon." She glanced with a smirk over to Evelyn. "But first.. I need to get kitty in a dress." Evelyn's face went pale as she almost fell back on the bed. "Woah... you never said I had to attend.."

*Shortstraw came out of the bathroom with his suit one, a match to theadors, "hey mini me's making this look good." He repiled as he came in. He then smerked, "of course you have to attend Evelyn." He then gasped, "oh my princess you look butiful." She squtted down, "such a pretty little lady i got here." Theador held up his hand, "i'm pretty too!" Shortstraw laughed, "son your a guy, pretty isn't what we call it. For boys it's, snazzy." He chukkled.
Meanwhile Soflora was puttng her dress on, the same she used at the wedding, the red and black one, "I'm glad i'll be there. Since i'm feeling alittle better. But i can't promes i'll be here for the whole thing."

Kiera hit Shortstraw's shoulder lightly. "Hey, he can be a pretty boy if he wants to be." She laughed as she then looked to Evelyn. "Did I tell you how a lot of the other leaders wanted to see you? They say they've heard many things about you, and they're curious." Evelyn scowled. "If that's supposed to convince me to want to attend then you've got the wrong coercion ideas." Kiera stood up and stretched her arms above her head with an innocent smile. "Oh, I have no need to convince you, because you're definitely attending." She snickered and went to pin Evelyn to the bed. "Now are we going to do this the easy way or the hard way?" Evelyn went a little red as she looked away from her. "Kiera.. not in front of the kids.." Kiera laughed as she let go. "I'm just kidding. But seriously. Please come."
Dante pouted as he sat on the bed with his suit laid out in front of him. "At least in dresses you get some freedom." He frowned. "These suits are so itchy and tight. If I were ill like you at the moment these suits would be a death trap."

*Soflora blinked, "free? Really? Well i guess on the bottom there free, but these things are a real number on the top half. And with the underside corset it's really difficult to breath. So quiet your complaing and get in your handsum suit." She chukkled and pointed to the suit, "unless you wanna switch for the day. I'll ware the suit while you ware my dress..." she offer tesingly as she rapped her hands around him. She then looked down, "dose this show too much hun?"
Shortstraw chukkled as theador jumped up and down, "i'm pretty snazzy!" Shortstraw stood and looked to his watch, "leaders will start coming soon." He looked to Evelyn, "yea come on kitty, besides you look good in a dress." He chukkled, "really good." He then patted his two kids heads, "come on, lets go down stairs and let mommy and kitty get dressed. And remember theador, we dont eat with our hands. Expechally today..." he started as he layed some rules down walking them down stairs to get ready to greet any geusts.

Kiera put her hands on her hips as Evelyn whined a little. "I don't even have any dresses. I made sure to get rid of the last one." Kiera smiled. "Then you'll use one of mine." Kiera walked over to the wardrobe and Evelyn pulled a face. "You don't even own any dresses." Kiera chuckled. "You'd be surprised." Kiera pulled out a long dark purple maxi-dress from the wardrobe. "Just your colour." Evelyn scowled. "What do you know about colour coordination?" Kiera walked back over to Evelyn and handed her the dress. "Matches your eyes, and compliments your boobs. Need I say more?" Evelyn kept her redness as she stubbornly took the dress. "Fine."
Dante smiled as he kissed her. "It's as perfect as the first time you wore it." He glanced back to his suit. "I guess there's no avoiding it anymore... Guests are going to start arriving soon, and Kiera's going to want me down there." He sighed. "Lets get this over with." Kato pulled a face. "I don't see why humans need to change their skins so much to match whatever they're doing. It's madness."

*Soflora smiled "aww thankyou." She twurled before coughing and holding her stomach, "heh heh, i think i'll keep the movment to a minimum today..." She sobbed as she nodded however, "You are the man of Yokai. Even more so then shortstraw isnce it's your bloodline. It is important for you to be out there in your possition. This is how they see how great you are!" She nodded, "and of course it helps the countrys image too when you appear and talk tot he other leaders." She smiled, "though i sure am glad i dont actully have a country of my own, if not for the Yokai country, I would have been the air for the vampires. But now they are more free to live about becuse of your dad." She nodded, "i spoke with my father about it."

Dante nodded. "Yeah, I guess things are a little better." He scratched his head as he stood up. "But what I've learned from talking with Kiera is that there are still a lot of problems that need dealing with, no matter how great things seem." He nodded. "That's why I have to do my best to make things better." He turned back to his suit. "And this whole social thing is part of it." He rubbed his head. "I swear Kiera gave me an hour long lecture about it the other day. She really knows how to drill something into a persons head." He took off his pants and started to put on his suit.
Soon guests started to arrive and the ballroom was beginning to fill up. At first there was a little friction. Other kingdoms leaders were reluctant to socialise but after a little time passed and alcohol was picked up they all started to get a little looser. Although the guests kept arriving. Dante forgot to look at the guest list. How many of them were coming? Dante's face whitened however when a familiar figure walked through the door with a man at her arm. She grinned. "Well hey there dollface." Dante swallowed hard. "Blue. What are you doing here?" Blue giggled a little as she leaned her head on the mans shoulder. "My my, that's a bit of a formal way to greet a princess.. oh, did I never tell you I was a princess darlin'? I do apologise.." Dante's eyes widened. "You're a princess! And you.. you never told me.. all that time in that small village.."

"I agree with the girl. Humans don't need to change their 'skins', they're perfectly fine." Prophet agreed, looking at Dante. "These leaders need to be shown a thing or two about nobility. When I was a child, my dad taught me how to work with the world, not against it. And these leaders declare war on everyone that isn't on their side." Prophet said, walking downstairs. "Shortstraw, don't get drunk. Your children are present at this ball, thingie, what ever it is, and I don't want them to see you in that state." Prophet said, then he chuckled. "It's good to be back. Shortstraw, I'm still in the Brotherhood, just whistle if you need me." Prophet said, smiling. Later, Prophet would look over the leaders, uncomfortably standing there, noticing he was the only one there with a high tech suit of armor. "I'm sticking out like a sore thumb." Prophet mumbled, only to smile at Dante, seeing some girl leaning on his shoulder.
