That first attack would hit hard ....as she twirls her tail once and twice, and seem to land almost delicately on her paws. Her ears pulled back as she would purr loudly and then give a wink.
She had already proven her might, and thus, she was going to show him ...her soft side. Her body would seem to gain a few hearts around it, and she moved to the side to let the light shine off of her fur. It would give off a soft pink glow as she woke on captivating her opponent.
"Running away again?"
The girl would taunt Ada.
"You were always good at that."
She laughs lightly at her, and cross her arms with a big grin on her face.
"How about you just surrender now and go home. The academy is too much for you ...just like everything else you have every tried to do on your own."

The response to Jasmine's words would come in the form of a massive volume of bubbles being blown into her face, forming a semi-solid barrier between the Poliwag and the girl. Shaping something of a dome around the Poliwag, closer inspection would reveal that the bubbles came in a variety of odd shapes and sizes. A small section of the dome would abruptly disappear when three bubbles of the same shape made contact, causing the whole thing to become smaller. Well the options were clear here. Jasmine would either have to solve the puzzle of the bubble dome, crash through it with brute force, or be on her way!
Jasmine looked at the strange dome and the variety of bubbles... now she was here, she was definitely not leaving, but it wasn't perhaps out of any set notion here, more of curiosity...
In any practical terms the Poliwag seemed capable of defending itself, but she was past the point now, reaching out experimentally to look at the nearest set of bubbles...

As a matter of fact, Vanni couldn't refuse... or, in the very least, couldn't properly verbalize any kind of refusal. The moment the Kirlia had popped up, the girl had gone into something of a state of shock, joints and muscles locking up as though frozen in place. Clumsily, she stumbled backwards, nearly tripping and falling to the ground. Where it not for her faithful firedog swiftly pushing her into some kind of wobbly standing position, she would have well and truly collapsed. internally, she was forcing herself not to start screaming. Terror like ice poured through her veins, leaving her shaking and unable to reply. Her mind was starkily blank, as she scrambled not to thing of everything that the psychic-type's appearance wanted her to remember. Instead, she just stared straight ahead, green eyes dazed and unfocused. A true doll.
For once, Culann found himself concerned, as opposed to annoyed, with his ditzy trainer. So this is what the poison hind had meant. The girl, little more than a shell, wasn't going to be much use in this confrontation. Which meant he'd be fielding this one alone. With a sigh, he unwove himself from Vanni, and took a step towards this loud creature. "Miss Merry Nightmare," he remarked, rather politely given the circumstances. "I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about, but I can assure you we're not these, er, 'bad dreams'. We're only passing through, so if you would...?" It was at least worth trying the diplomatic approach.
">Like I haven't heard that one before!<" The Kirlia stated, placing a hand on her head as if adjusting a hat as she slid into a fighters stance ">Let's go Ich...<" She looked about herself for an instant, allowing a small sigh to pass for an instant from her then visible mouth ">...right...<" Shaking her head, and clearly remembering that hat was no longer upon her head the Kirlia dropped her hand and glared at Culann. One fist would strike the opposite hand after a few brief seconds before Merry should shoot forward ">Time to go back to your own garden!<" She declared before leaping into the air, one leg rising till it was almost vertical, the limb glowing a clear purple. Seemed she was going to start this battle off with a high-legged kick in the form of PSYSHOCK!
The moment Jasmine's had got near the bubble's would suddenly shift, like a lock's dial turning...except it was one hell of a complicated lock. While some of the bubbles rotated around in a circular fashion right in front of her, others would shift around the dome, moving horizontal or vertical from her perspective. Getting through this dome was going to be like cracking a safe!
Tetri-Bubble! Objective: Line-Up 3 Bubbles of the Same Kind! Rules: Roll 3 D20. To match 3 Bubbles all 3 rolls must be divisible by the same number! (Ex: 6, 15, 12. All divisible by 3. Pass.). Excludes numbers divisible by 0, 1, or 2. You must accomplish this 3 times to pass!
Jasmine blinked. Well, if nothing else the Poliwag would be secure is side this shield as she poked it experimentally and looked at the strange lock positioned before her.
Well... It wouldn't hurt to try it at least once to try and see if she could speak to the Poliwag first as she began to poke and push those bubbles any way she could imagine.... She literally had no idea, but he was going to try it anyway...

((Alrighty, lol))
Jasmine was well and truly flummoxed, no end of bubble poking or dial spinning would get her through this it seemed as she would instead peer again at the Poliwag in the see-through cell...
That was when Burnout would reach her, clearing his throat gently.
[Jasmine. I think this one can defend itself safely I this bubble is any indication?]
"...Yeah." Jasmine said, although a little glumly so as Burnout guided her shoulder away and Ironclaw as her les would steer them all away from the Poliwag and on to whatever new strange offering this Dream World would offer from its patchwork collection of oddities and curiosities...

"Fire and teeth," Culann growled, ears lying flat against his skull. This wasn't a fight he was looking forward to, especially given his trainer's early comments about "working together". Then again... he threw a quick glance over his shoulder.
A muffled whimper escaped her lips as Vanni swayed precariously, kept upright only by her cane.
Yeah, she wasn't going to be any help. No time for just standing around, then! The Growlithe, darted sideways, hoping to avoid that shining violet kick.
Impromptu would snort, almost as if he was snickering. "> You think I'd fall for that? You're just a dumb cat, ain't no dog ever loved a dumb cat! <" he'd tease. A toothy grin coming onto his face. He was either too convicted in his doggish ways, or just too plain dense, to fall for the romance schtick. Long story short, he wouldn't be buying any goods she was selling.
Ada would grit her teeth, a slight quiver in her voice. "At least I try to do things on my own! At least I make some sort of effort not to ride other peoples coattails into glory! I make a name for myself, not fall under someone elses. If it weren't for you having the 'family' name under the 'family' business, you'd be no good!" The magician would shake her head, as if trying to snap herself out of it. "E-enough talk, lets just fight it out! Impromptu, go for the kill!" Impromptu would give a meaningless bark in return to her command, shifting onto the offensive as he'd once more bare his fangs, opening his jaws wide. He'd lunge at the skitty, eyes locked on her neck as he aimed to give her one big, deadly Bite!

CRACK. The sound as the Kirlia's leg impacted with Culann's skull would be audible, practically seeming to reverberate through the minds of those present. Psyshock was a tricky move in that it reinforced the physical with the mental. This Pokemon unlike the rest of her kind wouldn't be scrambling brains, but cracking skulls!
The damage done, the very instant the Kirlia's other foot would touch the ground she would leap backward as if the Growlithe were a spring board and land on the ground some distance away. One leg tucked, the other stretched wide, the Kirlia crouched particularly low as she waited to meet the Fire-Type's 'reply' to her attack.

Culann's knees buckled under the weight of the Kirlia's kick. He managed not to collapse, wheezing sharply as he forced himself back up. Shutting his eyes, he drew the flames from his heart out onto his body, letting them spark frantically across his orange fur. Battered but not quite down, he rushed right at the Kirlia, fire pouring off his coat.

Shifting her weight the Kirlia would easily avoid Culann's attack, spinning like a ballerina across the grass before halting and sliding backward like a figure skater. Odd how majestic her dodge was compared to the relative violence of her earlier attack...and the one coming next!
Speeding across the 'battlefield', the Psychic-Type rushed straight for Culann, pivoting sharply on her heel once she was within range and bringing up her leg to strike him directly in the throat! This wasn't a Psyshock like before however, her leg didn't glow, but instead her eyes were filled with a rainbow light. Once more she was taking a far more physical approach to psychic attacks, this time attempting to Disable Culann's fire by taking out his 'flame lung'.
Nothing particularly new would greet her this time. Just another strangely sparkly item right in the middle of the pathway. This time it was a Tiny Mushroom.
