Now even more nervous dude to the the Watchful dragons' posture, Sahar shuffled back to his original place on the sands with his hands wringing themselves behind his back. He did pause though, as another egg explosion happened in the clutch; what was it with exploding eggs? He made a mental note to ask the candidatemaster about that later on.
Looking up, he smiled as the Agitated Egg revealed it's containment to the world: Another green, yet again with a strikingly beautiful hide coloring. He had heard the mild complaints about the number of Greens and Blues from this clutch but....What was the problem?
They were happy, healthy and clearly something to be admired. Shrugging to himself, Sahar gave a light sigh and shook his head. Some of this stuff made his brain hurt too much.

( Wen and Jemi)
"A second large dragon. One green impresses and a second hatches," Wen mused and looked over the last two eggs in the clutch. Neither had moved, both were small. Atypicals? "A crimson and a silver?" He mused, looking at the shells. One was noticeable red and the other was white to grey.
"No black?" Jemi teased, looking over the eggs. "I want to say they are both blacks. Do you want to bet Cai?" She asked, tipping her head and smiled at the three babies milling about the sands. "The girls are getting a short end of the stick this time around. Besides the little healer, they all been migrating to the boys."

Kaeyne blinked owlishly at the green and her piping sunshine voice. He'd not had something that happy in his head...well, ever. And Ildresaak, from what little he knew of him in the last while, could probably use a bundle of happy dragon.
He certainly looked happy enough.
Kaeyne linefaced at their retreating forms just to be contrary and looked back to the hatchlings. Two males - brown (maybe?), not blue, both moving - and a little explosive green. His eyes skimmed over the males, ignoring even Watchful in his stalking. She seemed...cheerful. calm? Not at all interesting, even though she came at them.
Instead, the still eggs. Even if they ended up not for him, he hoped they lived.

Rochelle didn't mind C'tis pulling away from her incoming hand; she'd have probably tried to bite his if he went to pinch her (admittedly round) cheeks. But she laughed against his shoulder and felt his own amused noise against her.
"And hey, he's brightly colored and super noisy. Maybe he'll protect her from tailforks like me," She grinned against C'tis' shoulder and turned her face to peer out at Becka again. "I'd have choked myself on your throat if she got a Gold. Having to listen to her as my boss one day? Nuh-uh. The whole Weyr would scarper off to one of the Wherholds or the other gold no one else has ever seen."
She shook her head again, lips quirked into a wry smile. "Oh well. Guess it means one more turn I can't punch her in the face. Maybe by then you'll have convinced me otherwise. And, hey! Look! the adorable green Impressed." Rochelle squeed and straightened up, shifting somewhat further from him than before in order to get a good look at the eggs. "I hope those two are atypicals..."

(Vaail and Naanash)
About time you started to move. Naanash paused, shifting to watch the Kind and Keen green impress part of the little group that had congregated around the wounded boy before. He had forgotten about her in his staring match with the brown. It would be a good match and amusing in away. The hatching group was mostly all males and the single girl was going to feel so awkward.
A fourth? Fifth green spilled onto the sands and perhaps this one would impress a girl? Browns and bronzes impressed mainly to males he believed. Heard, hmm, the last two small eggs had not moved yet. He hoped they hatched alright.
Vaail grinned, waving Ildresaak off. He liked the boy, well Vaail tended to like about everyone. Still he was glad that the other had impressed and ooh, other green. Green and blues were swiftly becoming his favorites for the simple fact they were living artwork. Such vibrant colors and patterns and the brown and maybe shiny was attractive but not in the way the greens and blues were.

All three dragons currently seeking their partners seemed like calm sorts. There were no more trills, chirps or bellows just three creatures heading towards their perfect match. It was sharp-eyed Watchful who seemed to reach a conclusion first. Pausing where he was he lifted his head and turned it to the left and sniffed the air, his tail finally stilling. After only a moment's more consideration he set off again, picking up his pace to an easy trot. It was then that he broke the silence again with a surprisingly loud yowl from one who had been so still and quiet. When he halted again he was standing dead in front of Kharmeen, his eyes gleaming brightly. The patched green paused where she was when the Impression was made and hummed softly, blinking slowly and seeming to drink in the moment. Sighing out the deep breath she had taken in she flowed onward towards the candidates but then paused a short distance away from them. The cause of her hesitancy was unclear but whatever it was seemed to be distressing her; yellow flashed through her eyes for a moment and she cast around, seemingly seeking another direction she could go in. The Discreet dragon meanwhile gave a simple nod of his head; he could see that another sibling had Impressed and that was good. Just at the moment however he didn't actually care that much about the Watchful or Easily Agitated. Once he was safe with his own rider he might spare some consideration but right now he could not, would not distract himself from his search. If he didn't find His he would die, and as such focusing on anything other than the task at hand (or paw) was mere foolishness.

Kharmeen was pleased as another egg hatched and yet another... Both green. One was a lovely dark green, it reminded him of the sea when she was in a mood. And a lighter, patchy green. Two eggs stayed still... He wondered why they hadn't moved yet and thought that maybe they might be atypicals. Hopefully, nothing was wrong with them.
And then, the dark green found her rider. Did all the greens go to boys? He thought about the girl and remembered that she had a blue. A brown still sat, solemnly regarding everyone and everything that was going on. Kharmeen hoped that his rider was on the sands. A brown going between would be bad news, bad luck. He waited with a baited breath.
EDIT IN: (EEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKK!)
Kharmeen watched as the green wandered around and then Kharmeen blinked. And blinked again. Was that.. The brown... His Maicoth? This dark brown creature with eyes full of happiness and love. But reserved. Like him.
"Maicoth... My thoughts? I think...We are lucky to have found each other. I worried for you. Come on, I suspect you are hungry." Kharmeen bent down and kneeled, a hand on Maicoth's dark head. Was this what Ahmenna felt? It had to be... Only so much deeper and stronger. He waved to her and then stood. "Come on, let's go feed you."
Maicoth bobbed and gave a little grunt. I think you are right. But I would know what happened before I hatched and found you.

Sahar was glad another pair had bonded. But....he watched the little Green with a light amount of worry.
He hadn't seen such hesitant movements with the other dragons so why was she...? Carefully threading through some of the candidates infront of him, the lad moved closer so he could get a better look at what was to come. Still...He chewed on his bottom lip slightly.
One could only hope that there wasn't anything to worry about. Shoving a few strands of loose hair out of his eyes, blue eyes flicked towards where the Discreet Hatchling was waiting. He didn't seem particularly alarmed...Or maybe he waiting for something?

Niyx held her breath as the brown passed and his green sister stalked towards the group only to stop cold. Was something wrong with the green? Was her rider not there? It at least seemed clear the non-descript brown bronze something dragon was on a mission. Hopefully upon closer inspection his color might be revealed. Not that it mattered. He was clearly interested in only the boys. At least the other brown seemed to have found his leaving Niyx to look on with envy as the new pairbond found each other. ______________________________
Despite his more flashy tendancies Meroc had always been a man who admired those who got things done. Maybe this non-descript dragon was a bit less showy then himself, but that didn't stop his eyes from briefly reflecting the young mans true intelegence and guile as he admired the dragon before him. There were doers and then there were talkers and sometimes rare planners like him. This dragon was clearly a doer.

Roan continued to feed Syriacuth, the young blue eating quickly and yet careful enough not to bite Roan's hand.
The young boy had been listening to those around him and he glanced over at the remaining two eggs, his Syriacuth had hatched easily, so was there something wrong with them? He remembered their touchings and they both had something inside, so what was stopping them?
'They will be fine,' Syriacuth's voice pushed into his thoughts, would he ever get used to it? "But how? What if they're not strong enough to push out like you and the others? What about the other candidates?"
Syriacuth pushed his striped head under Roan's arm to get his attention, 'They should be able to push out, they were noisy enough in the shell, they'll survive to be noisy out here.' He said before sticking his head in the bucket looking for more food.

Orlina stood quietly among the other girls, casting frequent glances at Zarike as each new dragon picked its partner. Part of her fervently wished that they would both Impress this time, and hoped a dragon would pick her friend. But another part saw the dwindling number of eggs and hoped that, at least, they would Impress together or not at all.
That was awful of her. She immediately felt guilty for thinking it and applauded more loudly than she likely should have for the next person to Impress, just to get her mind off of it. How could she think something so unkind about her friend? Well, whatever happened happpened. This was her fourth time Standing, but it was Zarike's first. Chances were that neither would Impress, which only meant more time together before one or both of them found their partners and moved on.
Still... Orlina watched the next Green hatch and head purposefully toward the girls. There was always hope!

(Nash Vail)
A other impression and the brown was sort of pretty in a subtle way. Sort of stripy, banded, rosettes sort of pattern of dark brown on cool brown on pale fawn. Vaail hummed, shifting slightly on his feet, flexing slightly. It was actually getting a bit bored now, after the mauling hatching and the greens bolting through them.
Naanash watched the brown hatching past him by and gave a soft sound before looking out again at the two unimpressed dragons. They should find theirs soon, hopefully.

For quite some moments the green, quite large for her colour, stood quite still with one forefoot raised. Eventually she put it down, taking another little step towards the candidates but not looking too happy about having done so. Keening unhappily she stepped forward once more but then abruptly hopped backwards. Landing on all fours she shook herself and warbled uncertainly ducking her head down low and then beginning to creep forward again, heading now towards the girls. At the front row she halted, stretching her neck out towards the nearest hand curiously but then abruptly jerking back again. Yellow pulsed through her eyes again and she stopped where she was again with her head swaying back and forward, seeking. Moments later a flash of blue more brilliant than the rarest sapphire ran through her eyes, announcing her success.

"If you decided the sky was beige I doubt I would have much luck convincing you otherwise," C'tis replied dryly with a little smirk. "More Impressions," he added with a nod, "and a precious brown among them! Shards forbid a valuable dragon be lost. What do you reckon on that other one: does the sun gleam out of its arse, I mean off its hide?" The smirk got bigger, and could in fact probably have jumped off the bluerider's face and lived a fulfilling independent life of its own.
*********
Leaning on his cane Bereck studied the remaining bronze/brown critically. He wasn't sure which way to call it if he was being frank with himself, but then to be fair to himself he didn't have his normal glasses on and as such the distance was rather fuzzy. All dragons safe Impressed so far though, and no deaths or crippling injuries. Over all really this Hatching was passing quite peacefully, and he was more than glad of that.

Niyx felt her heart leap into her throat as the green impressed. At least the dragonet was healthy, but she couldn't help but feel her chances slimming with only two unhatched eggs left. That and with the non-descript male dragon only looking at the boys it seems the girls chances were resting solely on the last two unhatched dragons. Silently Niyx willed her lifemate to be among the two. Please. . . She thought forcing all her hopes and dreams into the simple silent plea.
