And then the Dancing.
Why the...hell... did they have to DANCE?
Remi never really considered himself a good dancer... maybe if he was given a strict thing to follow, sure. Making it up on the spot? Not really.
But as it were, this dancing was apparently and little easier than not. A lot of...jumping. Wabing arms, fist pumping.
He could do that.

Nirva was nearing the end of her rope. Another grubby little human scarling had tugged on her over flowing hair once more causing her to hiss. She was about to turn around and yell at the child finally losing the last of her calm at the humans when something far worse happened.
The crowd parted, relief rushed into her being but then the music started, the uniformed guards moved to escort her. She hissed softly tugging her arm free as she moved onto one of the strange mounts earning a rather nasty look from the guard she hissed at.
She was a very prissy princess it seemed.
She stood on the stage looking about as others around her started to sing, some of them looking at her with mixed views. One looked worried about her not singing, another looked enraged about it.
"Hey get.... get pumpin. Get moves on...." She stumbled through the words, they where going too fast and it was frustrating, she stomped her foot instead of actually dancing. Part of her wanted to ruffle her wings in a fit of rage, wait did she even have wings in this outfit? She didn't know but she was looking over her shoulder to check when someone danced their way over.
"Start singing before we all get fired!" Hissed a strange human on her float.
She turned to stare at the human, Nirva felt her jaw drop, "Do not order me to do anything!" She went to give the stranger a push...

Alex had been, slowly and steadily, inching his way from the masses of human scarelings. Not that there had really been all that many of them, but really, even two was too many as far as s/he was concerned. The zomboil-turned Sally's biggest problem, however, was the damn shoes on her feet. They were all pointed and cramped for her toes, and the heel on them was atrociously high (because half an inch was totally too much). S/he wib-wobbled her way away from them, smiling, waving, trying to look as sincere in her actions as she probably could.
Somebody grabbed her arm.
"It's time for the parade, come with us. You should have been over there by now."
Wait, parade? What?
Alex tripped and stumbled her way to the float, which was decorated in the most frightfully spectacular way. She was helped on board, after the other humans saw just how much trouble she was having with the shoes, and escorted her to a seat.
Well, this was rather nice, really! The air was stick thick and cloying with Joy, but at least she was no longer on the ground where any child could run up and accost her! Alex was just starting to relax in the seat when it happened.
Music. Loud, blaring, obnoxious. She jumped up, staring down at the speakers with horror. What was this atrocity? It was so upbeat, and cheerfully disgusting! "Sing! Come on, what are you doing? You're supposed to be singing!" This was hissed from a nearby human, and Alex gaped at them, before snapping her mouth closed.
Okay okay, she could totally do this.
"Hey get up, get loud, start pumpin' up the party now! Hey get up, get loud, start pumpin' up the party now!"
That part was easy, at least. Unless they were saying pumpkin? It was hard to tell, really. Actually, he surprised himself with how easy it was to sing this song.
Maybe he had another untapped natural talent?

[SING FAI SING!]
It has been said before, and shall be said again now, that for the musical group called the Famine Clan, there was always one that was completely tone deaf. This one was Fai. Not only was he tone deaf, he wasn't catching onto the lyrics at all. In fact he sang (or spoke off key) one out of ten words with a lot of "la la la" stuck in.
Really, why were they doing this again? Was the big reveal coming soon? Would he be able to LEAVE any time soon??
He seriously missed the scareling students in comparison to this place.

[DANCE FAI DANCE!]
Not only could he not carry a note, he was off beat by--ok, we'll be honest. Fai didn't even have a beat. He waved his hands lazily and walked along with the group--and he could feel the stares of disapproval from all of the humans.
They were as bad as the rest of the Famine clan he thought irritably. And waved his hands again. An obnoxious human started laughing and pointing while another one shouted "GET OUT OF THE PARADE!"

[Aurora]
So with Daisy gone, Nergui/Aurora had been allowed to return her attention in full to the younglings that had been crowding around her. She couldn't say that was actually a good thing, but it was better then being sexually harassed by some random horsemen in a female duck suit. And really, aside from the stifling mixture of heat and JOY, signing autographs(she'd figured out who she was after a little bit), and posing for pictures, wasn't the worst thing in the world. Close... but not actually the worst.
Just as she was getting used to this routine though, the crowds began to thin, and some uniformed humans had come to escort her to something called a parade, and she could do little but follow along and hope her lack of any apparent response on the matter wasn't taken suspiciously.
Though with how loud the music was, even if she'd had anything to say, the humans might not have heard it...
After being helped up onto what appeared to be a giant, glittery mount, the humans were now shouting at her to start singing as the thing began to move, and the priestess found herself in a very awkward situation. She stared at the shouting humans, eyes wide, and struggled to recall the words to the hideous song that had been blaring for the past few minutes. "er.."
"Hey get up, get loud, start pumpin' up the party now. Hey get up, get loud, start pumpin' up the party now" She didn't sound terribly enthused, but that part at least she was fairly confident was accurate. A glance down a the humans showed nods of approval. Well ok then. Nergui supposed she was just going to have to go with it.
"Get those party moves on, Look around you're gonna find, we're not here to see you whine so let's celebrate. Your Strife, bad dreams and everything that's in between. Shows you how much they can't be seen, that's why we say here's your chance to join the infiltration. It's time to seize the day" This wasn't so bad.. She could do this!
[Accuracy = 46%]

[Aurora]
Ok, so she was singing, and sort of swaying in time to the music, but the humans that were on the mount with her didn't seem at all impressed by her. She was back to feeling awkward, and after a pause in her butchering of the lyrics, she tried her hand at what should have been very easy dance moves.
Key word, should.
She spun, swung her arms, and damn near fell right off the float. If a nearby human hadn't reached out and grabbed her she'd have toppled clear off the slow moving platform and right onto the street with the rest of the oddly dressed dancers.
She flushed, crimson. It was not a color she was accustomed to wearing, but considering there were no mirrors in sight, she was spared the sight of herself in pale skin and scalet cheeks.
Feeling a little defeated, she went back to her less then impressive swaying. That at least was safe.
[Skill = 16%. Nergui can't dance.]

[ Meixiang Sings - Oh boy... ]
Just when she thought she might be safe and rescued from all the staring scarelings Meixiang was ushered up onto a weird contraption.
OH A FLOAT!
She stood there for a second until it jerked into motion and she almost went tumbling back into some of the decorations. She braced herself on the railing, trying to get her sea float legs.
Soon people were telling her to sing. Mei hated singing. She most certainly wasn't a singer. What were the words?
"Hey get up, get loud, start pumpkin' up the party now Hey get up, get loud, start pumkpin' up the party now
Get those panty crabs on, Spook around you're gonna find, we're all here to scare you shine so let's exterminate Your life, your fear and everything that's in your spleen Shows you how much they mean, that's why we say Here's your chance to join the skelebration It's time to sneeze the way
Hey get up, get loud, start pumpkin' up the blarty now Hey get up, get loud, start pumpkin' up the swarthy now
We're in the right place, fright now, everybloody in the crowd, here's your chance to let it out, it's all about shoe We're all here (lets go) gotta make this shiny grow Together we can make it flow right through the spook The mucas gonna start a skelebration It's time to seize the hay
Hey get up, get loud, start pumpkin' up the savvy now Hey get up, get loud, start pumpkin' up the wrongy now"
Nailed it.

Ying saw that the carpet had a beautiful dance and tried to imitate it.
Which really just resulted in more flailing. Ying was not bringing honor to any of us today.

[ Meixiang Damces - Here We Go! ] With the singing portion over, Meixiang was now being encouraged to dance. Jack yea! She could do that. Dancing was her life. The only reason she probably didn't do any better was because of this damn costume. Otherwise perhaps she wouldn't have nearly tripped over her huge cartoony feet when she first started. But she could forgive that little mistake and not beat herself up over it now that she had gotten a feel for how she could really move in it. And it didn't take long for Mei to get lost in the dancing. She was actually having a pretty good time. No matter how silly she looked.

[Costume- Captain Eo]Apparently Remi was pretty good at this whole flailing around and fist pumping. The crowd seemed to be enjoying it, anyways. Maybe it was the costume... Nah he would take a little of the credit for this, he was a POP STAR. Then it seemed the crowd started to get a little more excited..... and turning around he saw another character dancing too. They were calling for a dance off?

[Costume - Chip]She had been so into the dance that at first Mei didn't even notice that the crowd was calling for a dance off. The ghoul was wiggling her hips, flailing her arms up and down, twisting and shouting. All of a sudden she was being pulled off the float down onto the dance floor. Noooooooooo~ Her float dancing dreams shattered, For a second she stood there deflated on the dance floor. Until the words 'dance off' began to ring clear. Oh yay! She eyeballed the her compatition. He seemed to be a pretty big fan favorite from they way they hooted and hollered. A small bit of jealousy flared up. This weirdo looking dude was now her new dance rival. She had so declared it. But it seemed her ego and feelings of rivalry had other plans for her feet. Oh man, it was the ground that was slippery! That's totally what it was.
