Morrigan heard the monster howling in the distance. It made her shiver.
She quickly boosted outside to watch what would unfold. Morrigan had only made the suggestion to Quint to help the monster destroy Aonice and Gatz... but she didn't go over a plan with Quint, or even make a plan at all. Besides that, she remembered that even though it would be fun to watch the betrayal, being Queen of this island didn't particularly appeal to her; reason being that it probably involved leadership obligations.
She shuddered to think that she almost put herself in a role similar to the one she has in Makai. Maybe she would help them after all... if she felt like jumping in. Not that she'd be able to do much anyway.

Unlocking the door to his room, Quint breathed a sigh of relief as the cool air from his AC hit him. Finally, the thing that had tormented him for years was dead, and now he could focus on relaxing at the island.
It was then that a memory of Sasha came to his mind, filling his thoughts with sadness. She was the person he trusted most, and he was the one she could always depend on. Quint's vision blurred while tears welled up, he almost wishing he never knew Alchemy.
The countless plans and blueprints Quint had seemed to mock him then, turning his dolor into a fury. In a hurried fit of spite, he burned them, never wanting to see another alchemic symbol again. While the fire continued to burn all of his time and effort, he looked into his hands, sobbing softly at Sasha's death, and the horrific act of trying to recreate her.
Looking up, he realized that the fire was spreading, Quint then casting a weak ice spell to put the flames to rest. His desk was burned black, his charts and designs all lost to the heat. Quint sniffed one last time, happy to be putting the past behind him.
Quint took the tattered remains of his desk out to the trash, and left his home for a couple hours. He returned, this time with a few treasures from storage: A silver locket that held half of a picture of Sasha and Quint, and a picture of his family, who was still living on the mainland.
He placed the picture on top of his TV, keeping the locket around his neck. Opening the keepsake, he could clearly see her face with one of the brightest smiles, the photo torn down the middle where she had her arms around Quint. She was the one who started him down the path to Kobujutsu: A style of martial arts that focused more on the actions of the opponent, rather than the self.
"I'll never forget the lessons you taught me." Quint spoke softly to the locket, promising for a while to only use her Kobujutsu style in battle, to keep the thoughts of her happy in feeling. He felt then that a change of clothes was in order, to compliment his change inside himself.
Rummaging through his closet, he found the red hakama that he used frequently during his travels, matching that with a airy, loose black shirt. Wrapping his hands and forearms tightly with cloth, he praticed some basic moves inside his room, regaining his feel for the style.

~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~- Still agonized by the pain that wouldn't go away, Quint continued her flight to her room, somewhere she was told would be the answer to problems that couldn't be solved. It wasn't often that she shed tears, but a few dropped from her eyes, the only physical sign of her anguish. It wasn't long before Quint arrived at her room, the door effortlessly unlocked. She questioned herself whilst searching the suite. "Ok, now what am I supposed to find.." First place she checked were the drawers, which held assorted shirts, pants, and.. "Boxers?!" She blurted in shock. That pair was tossed to the side, and as Quint looked again she found another few pairs. "What the hell is this? How did these get here? What--" She was abruptly cut off by another wave of pain, this one accompanied by a voice that wasn't immediately recognized, it rough and angry. " Kid, you have to remember. I'm not here to waste my time." "...Just who are you?" She asked, unnerved by the many minds she seemed to have. " Isn't it obvious? Well, I guess not...it would makes sense.
I'm you." Shocked beyond all belief, Quint fainted.

A few dozen minutes later, a knock had come from Quint's door... lil' Aonice awaited an answer, but recieved none.. She rose her eyebrow, "Oh C'mon Quint! Where are ya?" She asked, leaning onto the door, only to find it slid open.. She blinked and stepped inside... A few feet later she stumbled across the fainted gal, and quickly darted over to her aid.. "Quint!? Wake up!" She asked quickly, tapping against the woman's cheek.. "Are you okay? Quint?"

Dreaming of a world that didn't exist, Quint saw many faces of her past, all telling a tale in which Quint was very headstrong, fierce, and most of all, male. At first, she thought these illusions were just that, facades of people who she thought meant a lot to her. After a while however, these faces began to make sense, while the tattered remains of her memory were sewn back in place. " Do you understand now?" Quint's deep voiced subconcious asked. Quint replied softly, yet certainly. "Somewhat, a least a lot more than I did before. You have my gratitude." A bright light engulfed Quint's world then, it seeming to summon her from the dark depths of unconciousness. As she approached this light, the dulled feeling she had between her ears subsided, as if she had just come down from a higher elevation. Slowly, Quint's eyes opened. Her voice was noticeably different; she spoke without her previous urgent, commanding tone, now talking sweetly. "Fine, I'm fine Aonice." Quint said, picking herself up. "Man...what happened?" She asked.

Aonice blinked, and helped her friend up with a kind smile after a bit of thought.. "Well, Rake has.. uhm.. Dissapeared" She explained, a bit confused herself. "Mandy and Rio discovered his palace.. Missing, and theres no signs of any damage to the island.. " She sighed.. "It's so weird, it's like it never happened at all.."

"What." Quint said flatly, then sighing, "I guess she left before we could give it the beating of her life!" She smiled playfully, wondering about what else there was.
"Oh dammit!" She said suddenly after a short pause, "Remember those Dragon lines? I wouldn't be wise to think that Gatz has fixed those, huh?"

"Dragon Lines?" Aonice blinked, rather clueless on the subject. She had yet to be versed in much of the going ons, being so busy with the usual order of the island. "I've never heard of them" She spoke as she stood back up, looking into Quint's eyes.. "Is it important? "
(( Roan said not to worry about anything anymore, apparently.. *shrug* Up to you if you wanna replace such lines without the use of gatz... ))

"Sort of.." Quint began, scratching her head. "It was really more of Gatz' idea, and I really don't know much about them, or how to repair them.." She then gave the 'danger' some thought, adding, "I wonder how it'll affect the weather. Maybe it'll fluxuate at random points, due to the random energy strengths across the island.."
((Nah, it's cool. They can stay put, but it'll be fun to see what happens..))

She blinked, "As long as it snows, right?" She asked rather innocently, smiling warmly.. "You've been acting a bit confused lately though, are you allright?" She asked curiosuly, noticing the different look in Quint's eyes.. "Yoou've been a bit.. well" She hesitated as she found the right word.. "different.."

"Never been better!" Quint responded certainly. "Just needed a little time alone to sort things out. As for being different.." She took a moment to look herself over, "Being a different gender from the last time you remember would sort of throw one off!" Quint smiled then, but wondered how quickly she could get to Bleu to change her appearence.

Aonice blinked.. "Well, if it's any consolation, i find you just as awesome either gender" She smirked, and suddenly hugged Quint's volutuous form..
